1. Large 5,000mAh Battery
The Galaxy M20’s biggest highlight is its massive 5,000mAh battery, the highest in its category. Samsung claims the 5,000mAh battery offers up to 24 hours of talk time, 24 hours of video playback, or 100 hours of music. Coupled with fast-charging technology, users can quickly recharge the battery. Just 10 minutes of fast charging provides 3 hours of talk time, 3 hours of video, or 10 hours of continuous music listening.

2. Well-optimized configuration, solid performance
The device is powered by the Exynos 7904 chip, a mid-range processor recently launched by Samsung. Manufactured using a 14nm process, it features 2 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and six Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.6 GHz. Although not the latest chip, the Exynos 7904 is still considered to have strong performance. It handles everything from basic applications to more complex ones with ease. Heavy games might experience occasional lag, but it's generally not disruptive. The app launch speed is fast, multitasking runs smoothly, and app reloads are rare. The highest configuration of the Galaxy M20 includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a MicroSD card.

3. USB-C port
One of the most impressive features of the Galaxy M20 is its inclusion of a modern USB-C port, along with 15W fast charging, a technology that's still rare in mid-range smartphones. It also retains the traditional mm headphone jack. The USB-C port is a standout feature that sets the M20 apart from its competitors in the same price range. Even Apple has only recently introduced USB-C in its premium iPad Pro models and high-end MacBook computers.

4. Face recognition security
In addition to the traditional fingerprint sensor, the device also supports face recognition. The Galaxy M20 runs on the custom Samsung Experience 9.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Users need not worry, as the device is guaranteed to be on the list for future updates to the latest Android version. With face recognition security, users can feel more confident knowing their smartphone is less likely to be easily unlocked or accessed. Currently, in the 5-million VND price range, very few smartphones offer face recognition, making it one of the most valuable features of the Galaxy M20.

5. Extremely Affordable Price
The Galaxy M20 is already listed on the websites of several local retailers, with a revealed expected price of 4.99 million VND. Some stores are even offering promotional vouchers that directly reduce the price, making the M20's value even better, bringing it down to nearly 4.5 million VND. This price point is highly competitive, especially compared to previous Samsung models.
The Galaxy M20 comes in blue and black, and it will be available in Vietnam starting February 15 at a price of 5 million VND. In this price range, the M20 stands out against competitors like the Oppo A7, Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, and Vsmart Active 1, thanks to its large battery, fast charging support, and excellent display.

6. Waterdrop Display
The Galaxy M20 is Samsung's first smartphone featuring the waterdrop display design, introduced as the Infinity-V screen during Samsung's 2018 SDC event. For those unfamiliar, the Infinity-V screen features a small, V-shaped notch that houses the front camera, with the earpiece speaker placed at the top edge of the device. Combined with thin bezels, this design creates an immersive screen experience. The M20 also includes an adaptive brightness feature, a feature often omitted in previous models.
Instead of using an AMOLED display, the M20 features a 6.3-inch LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels), a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and nearly fills the entire front of the device. The 6.3-inch Full HD+ screen provides excellent display quality, and with the waterdrop design, the M20 achieves a 91% screen-to-body ratio with thinner bezels.

7. Premium Plastic Build
Samsung uses polycarbonate as the primary material for the Galaxy M20's body, which is coated with a glossy finish for a premium feel. The device feels slightly heavier, giving it a more premium, substantial touch. The power buttons are positioned near the top on the right side, while the left side houses dual SIM and memory card slots. The back is sleek and features a fingerprint sensor alongside the dual-camera setup, with the main camera placed vertically. The fingerprint sensor’s high placement requires a bit of adjustment from users. The polycarbonate design helps keep the device comfortable in hand, with the moderate gloss preventing excessive fingerprint smudges.

8. Flat Rear Camera Design
The rear camera is designed to be flat, so it won't be raised when placed on a flat surface, reducing concerns about scratches on the lens. The Galaxy M20 is equipped with a dual-camera setup, including a 13 MP (f/1.9) primary sensor and a 5 MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide sensor with a 120-degree field of view, perfect for capturing creative shots anytime. AI is also integrated to automatically detect scenes and adjust settings for optimal results. The front camera has an 8 MP sensor.
Image quality is solid for its price range, with clear details and balanced colors. The camera responds quickly, with fast focus and shutter speeds. Features like HDR and wide-angle shots encourage creative photography. However, low-light performance could still use improvement, with noticeable noise. Given the affordable price, this is understandable. The Galaxy M20 can record video in 1080p at 30 fps.
