2. Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology
The Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology was established on July 11, 1997, following Decision No. 516/TTg by the Prime Minister, based on the restructuring of four member units from the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, now known as the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group. These units include the Institute of Postal Science and Technology, the Institute of Economics and Postal Services, and Training Centers 1 and 2 for Posts and Telecommunications. The institute's origins can be traced back to the Postal University, which was founded in 1953.
Since July 1, 2014, under a decision from the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Information and Communications took over the management of the institute from the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group. The Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology is now an affiliated institution under the Ministry, serving as a university and a key research entity, focusing on developing human resources for the information and communications industry.
