1. Returning to Tien Giang
The day you return to Tien Giang
After traveling countless miles, beneath distant clouds
The wings of birds carry the summer's warmth
Pink and white clouds freshly bathed in the rain
Passing through the land of Go Cong
The distant green of the childhood fields
Cai Be, Cai Lay… evoking dreams
Fruits and young women… with soft, tender lips
My Tho with its sweet noodle soup
The river carries the cool waters, echoing the song of life
Thái Sơn mountain casts its shadow on home
Boats and canoes bustle by, who will visit once?
The traditional ao ba ba and checkered scarf
Guide you into the dream of this beautiful land
The coconut trees laugh with the wind
The water splashes as fish leap in joyous abandon
Stop by Phung Island, a quiet retreat
Lost in thoughts about the Dừa religion
The evening shadows crowd the path
In Dong Tam, the whispers are heard from here to there
Who tends to the thousand beautiful snakes?
For life, filled with music and love
Tien Giang, you’ve arrived here
Who sits remembering the days of old?

2. Tien Giang, My Homeland
My homeland is Tien Giang, a land of abundant fruits and vibrant crops.
The fragrant flower gardens shine brightly.
Even far away, I still remember the songs that echo in my heart.
If you visit, don’t forget to stop by My Tho,
Where the fragrant noodle soup and delicious bánh bò await you.
Enjoy the crispy jelly and fresh coconut.
Don’t miss the tasty heart-warming porridge of Tan Hiep, a true taste of time.
On the 16th day of the 3rd month, the full moon rises,
And the annual festival at Thủ Khoa Huân brings everyone back.
The sticky rice and rice wine are prepared with care,
As we honor the special dishes and offer them in reverence.
The lion dance and the traditional performances bring joy,
With people of all ages coming together to celebrate.
My homeland may not be rich,
But the love and deep ties of our village are stronger than anything!

3. Will You Return to Tien Giang?
Will you come back to my Tien Giang?
The vast land of the Mekong, where rivers flow endlessly.
The endless rice fields and lush, fruitful trees.
The graceful smiles of the girls from the West...
Remember to visit Cai Lay, Cai Be,
And taste the sweet durian in Chau Thanh.
Stop by Cho Gao, Long Ky, Tan Phuoc, Tan Phu Dong,
Come back, my dear, to ease my longing!
When you return, don't forget to stop by
The sunny city of My Tho, where the light fills the streets.
The girls of My Tho, with their fair skin,
And their playful, coy smiles that captivate hearts...
I’ll take you to visit Go Cong Beach,
Where the seagulls soar above the endless waves.
The ocean in the afternoon is a deep turquoise,
The long sandy beach with the wind blowing gently...
Come back soon! Tien Giang is waiting for you...

4. The Quiet Go Cong
In June, you return to Go Cong.
By chance, you meet me with rosy cheeks.
Go Cong is the birthplace of the world's ideal woman.
No wonder I find you so irresistibly beautiful.
Empress Tu Du, a symbol of wisdom from an era long past,
Famous for her compassion in serving both the country and its people.
Empress Nam Phuong, renowned for her beauty and intelligence,
Beloved by the king for both her grace and charm.
The daughters of Go Cong are full of charm and elegance,
With eyes like the clear sky and lips like those of the famous Kiều, gentle and sweet.
After just one meeting, I was already captivated by your beauty.
At Tan Thanh beach, I sit and watch the waves crash against the shore.
The Southern land fills me with romantic inspiration for poetry.
Here, Truong Cong Dinh raised the banner of rebellion,
In this heroic land that became the center of the anti-colonial struggle.
The Xoai Rap gate remains unchanged, standing tall as ever.
The mighty Binh Tay King will forever hold his head high.
You and I, we understand each other, and that’s enough.
The Vam Co Dong River, with boats sailing back and forth.
Anyone who comes here will surely dream of returning.

5. Will You Return?
Have you ever been to My Tho?
To visit the small town nestled by the quiet river.
Strolling along the Lac Hong pier, bathed in sunlight and flowers.
Watching the sunset over the Tiền Giang waves.
Feeling the vastness of the sky and wind embrace you.
The Rạch Miễu bridge connects the two riverbanks.
The ancient well still holds the love of the past.
The willow trees lean, casting their shadows, waiting for the moon.
At Vĩnh Tràng, the distant sound of a bell echoes.
Leading us into the serene and timeless realm.
The folk song: “Though ginger is spicy and salt is bitter,”
Is a reminder not to forget… Thới Sơn.
Have you ever been to My Tho?
To meet the charming, dreamy girl of the town.
Whose smile will leave you feeling shy and uncertain.
And when you leave, your heart will long to return.

6. My Tho - Tien Giang
I came to visit your homeland,
In the warm spring sunlight.
I came to your homeland,
Where the winds sing their endless songs.
Tien Giang, oh Tien Giang,
I visited your land on a fresh spring afternoon.
The trees stood tall, casting cool shadows under the golden sun.
The city, so charming, captured my heart.
My Tho, glowing with the sweetness of love.
I came to your homeland, and it was so beautiful,
With the winding green river embracing the land.
Beside the palm trees that danced with the breeze,
And your love, so deep, like a poem of the soul.
I came to your homeland, a place of change and growth,
Your land so lovely, it lifts the spirits of all who visit.
I send with you a breeze of fresh love and poetry,
Back to Tien Giang - My Tho, where dreams are born.

7. Tien Giang, My Homeland
My homeland is blessed with a river,
The fertile fields nourished by the rising water.
I still remember the afternoons,
With water hyacinths floating, carried by the vast tidal waves.
Being from the heart of the riverlands,
Tien Giang, my home, is part of the mighty Mekong.
Our parents worked hard in the fields,
Hoping their children would grow strong and wise.
The sweet affection of home,
Forever lingering in my heart, even from afar.
Even though I am far from the river now,
My heart still remembers the peaceful flow of the river.
Tien Giang, with its bountiful fruits,
The endless rivers and vast, green fields.
Though far from home, my thoughts drift endlessly,
Longing for the river that winds so freely and wide.

My homeland lies in the waters of the West,
The air is filled with the sweet fragrance of rice, elevating life itself.
The sun shines brightly, illuminating every corner,
Where the land and sky of Tien Giang bloom with vibrant energy.
Thủ Khoa Huân stands tall and proud,
Watching over the gentle Bảo Định River.
The gardens of Lạc Hồng are ablaze with color,
While the small city fills the air with fragrant beauty.
My Tho, how I adore its streets and corners,
I cherish every path in my hometown.
The Tiền River leaves its mark,
As Rạch Gầm - Xoài Mút shines bright with determination.
Ấp Bắc, with its steely resolve,
Where victory echoed far and wide, resonating across the globe.

9. Missing Tien Giang
So, we say goodbye for now,
Tomorrow, I’ll miss this place, Tien Giang so dear.
The Tiền and Hậu Rivers flow endlessly,
While the love and memories surge through these waters.
My Tho, where the waters ebb and flow,
And the West Sơn sky still stretches far and wide.
The echoes of Rạch Gầm and Xoài Mút remain,
As Nguyễn Huệ’s victories over Siamese forces resonate.
A wave of emotion stirs my heart,
And Gò Công still holds the weight of royal legacies.
The memory of Queen Nam Phương lingers,
And Empress Mother Từ Dũ's wisdom and grace shine on.
Trương Công Định’s legacy is unforgettable,
A lifetime of valor, a monument in the hearts of the people.
These verses honor the history and its rhyme,
Reaching the spirit of the rivers, timeless and profound.
The birds fly over the tranquil tràm forest,
As the sunset casts a golden glow over Trúc Lâm.
A visit to the Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda,
Bringing back memories of Đồng Tâm, wrapped in gratitude.
I cherish you, the sweet girl from here,
As we exchange one last longing look, sending heartfelt goodbyes.
You leave, but my heart stays torn,
For Tien Giang will always hold a place filled with love.

10. The Girl from Gò Công
How beautiful is the girl from Gò Công,
Graceful, elegant, with cheeks flushed in pink.
After all these years of hearing her name, now I meet her,
A long journey, but worth every moment.
Hello, sweet girl from Gò Công,
Talking to you fills my heart with affection.
Many sleepless nights, thoughts of you linger,
Hoping one day, my wish will come true.
Oh, girl from Gò Công,
All these years, you've remained in your room, alone.
By fate’s design, our hearts meet,
But will our destiny ever align?
Well, I must say goodbye to Gò Công,
And fulfill my dream by visiting your home.
I return, determined to build my future,
And quickly marry you, so no more waiting.
