1. VnKings
VnKings is a new online platform for publishing stories, launched this year. One of its great features is the visually appealing interface, similar to the popular Wordpress platform. The site administrators are kind and approachable, but in order to publish your work on VnKings, you must comply with the platform's specific requirements, and your work will undergo a thorough review process. Personally, I believe this is a necessary step to ensure progress.
2. Gác Sách
Gác Sách, like Wattpad, is an established online story platform, but it stands out in terms of quality. To publish on Gác Sách, you must go through a strict review process, but this ensures that the stories available on the platform are high quality and attract loyal readers.
3. VnFiction
I can confidently say that the stories published on VnFiction have never disappointed me. Alongside Gác Sách, VnFiction has been around for quite a while and is known for its reputation and quality. Operating on a traditional forum platform, it's familiar to writers from the 8x and 9x generations, and it also has a professional moderation team. In addition to its official website, VnFiction's Facebook page offers numerous activities to support beginners.
4. Wapolo – A Community of Authors and Readers Supporting Vietnamese Stories
Alongside TGTV and Hội thẩm truyện, Wapolo stands out as a vibrant community with friendly activities that are easily accessible to the author community. The driving force behind this enthusiastic support is the administrators, who inspire members by creating familiar, fun games typically seen in entertainment groups. If you’re feeling stressed about your writing journey, Wapolo is the place for you!
5. Wattpad Vietnam
The name Wattpad is probably well-known to authors seeking a trustworthy and reliable platform to upload their stories to the internet. Wattpad has been around for a long time, with an enormous library of stories. You can also find a large audience for your work on Wattpad. However, because it’s so open and friendly, the number of low-quality stories on Wattpad is gradually outnumbering those that are genuinely good.
6. TELUS
If you love Japanese culture and want to write Light Novels, then TELUS is the place to be. This is Vietnam’s first Light Novel magazine, and its Light Novel Contest is now in its second year. However, in my personal opinion, the competition still lacks the necessary experience in organizing, as the number of submissions is large, but very few stories truly qualify as Light Novels of good quality.
7. Sở thú
Are you young and want to write Teen Fiction? Welcome to Sở thú! This unique entertainment site offers a very objective view of the current state of Teen Fiction in Vietnam. They can laugh at poorly written, low-quality stories, but they also respect those that break the mold and take a fresh approach. You might face criticism on Sở thú, but I believe you will grow stronger after every bruise!
8. Authors – Vietnamese Stories
Essentially, Tác giả - Truyện Việt (TGTV) is among the top platforms with the best development, investment, and refinement to support new authors. Besides the official TGTV site, you can join the TGTV exchange group or register for TGTV Storage, the platform's resource archive. The site offers various helpful sections, such as Daily Recommended Books, Writing Resources, Writing Tips, Image Repository, Story PR Introductions, and Story Reviews. With a large number of active participants, you can easily find valuable advice for yourself and your work. However, since the site’s administrators are professionals with full-time jobs, the site operates more seasonally, with the busiest period being the first four months of the year.
9. Story Review Council
If TGTV provides the largest resource base, the Story Review Council is where you can find the highest quality feedback. With a robust team of Beta-readers who are both experienced and highly skilled, they are always ready to offer honest, constructive feedback with a warm and receptive attitude. The only downside of the Story Review Council is that the large number of submissions each day means your story will have to wait a while before being reviewed by the team.
10. Viptruyen
Similar to Mytour, Viptruyen is an online story publishing platform where you can earn money from your writing by signing a contract with the management. If your story is truly captivating, you can take advantage of VIP benefits to charge for each page of your story and even receive funding from readers who genuinely love your work.
