The University of Commerce library is tucked behind rows of classrooms, surrounded by towering trees. On normal days, the place is relatively quiet, with many students considering it the best place for a peaceful nap. However, during exam season, it transforms into a bustling hub for intense studying and group discussions. All the seats fill up quickly, and if you want a spot, you must arrive early, around 6 AM, and often wait in line. But once you get a seat, it’s an ideal place for effective studying with quiet surroundings, free Wi-Fi, and plenty of resources. If you can’t wait, the second floor and computer room are good alternatives.
3. Handball is the only traditional sport exclusive to University of Commerce
Due to limited space, the largest field at the university is the H1 main field. For some unknown reason, handball has become a beloved sport here, and any day you visit the campus, you’ll find students practicing hard. It’s also the sport that defines the university, with multiple generations of handball teams achieving remarkable success in various tournaments. University of Commerce may be the only place where handball is such a prominent tradition.

Many believe the school’s curriculum, which includes fields like accounting, tourism, and marketing, caters more to feminine interests, attracting more female students. The University of Commerce is a relatively small campus, which limits the space available for athletic activities. Nevertheless, physical education classes are still scheduled and conducted as expected. Typically, students only need to complete their PE credits by the end of their third year, following the prescribed course plan. On the first day of each new PE semester, students attend just for attendance and then head home. Despite the laid-back start, this session is crucial as instructors outline the course requirements and expectations for passing. It also provides an opportunity for students to meet new classmates.
