1. The Hardworking Mother

2. The Elderly Mother Continues to Care for Her Sick Child
There are mothers who, despite being in their old age, still care for their unfortunate children. With their bent backs and gray hair, they never get to enjoy their old age. Instead, they carry the burden of caring for their children with congenital illnesses. These mothers evoke deep sympathy due to their long, laborious lives. Only a mother can feel such heartache.
When a child is born sick or not as healthy as others, the mother dedicates her entire life and energy to compensate for it, never complaining about the hardships she endures. She continues to smile through the profound pain in her heart, comforting her sick child, giving them joy and love that she never expects to be returned.
In this world, who truly loves, cares for, and suffers for us as much as our mothers?

3. Mother and Child Under the Storm
There are moments that stir our hearts, like when we see this picture. The rain on Mother's shoulders is 'sweet' to her, as long as her child is safe, she will endure it all. The image of Mother giving her raincoat to her child, sheltering them while her own body gets soaked, is truly touching. This is a mother's love, and only a mother could do this.
Mother is the largest umbrella, protecting her child from all the storms and heavy rain throughout their life.

4. Mother's Eyes
Has anyone ever looked into and felt the depth of those eyes? They are always filled with tears and concern. It's the look that waits for the child far away to return, the eyes that smile while tears run down as they watch their child grow. A mother's eyes are incredibly beautiful, as they hold her deepest emotions, all for her child—joy for them, and tears for them too.
Mother's eyes carry so many emotions and tears of love for her children. They are the most tearful, sparkling, profound, meaningful, and precious eyes one could ever see!

5. You Are the Most Precious Treasure, the Greatest Joy of Mother's Life
From the moment Mother gave birth to you, she gained the greatest treasure of her life. Her joy was indescribable, so much so that she lost awareness of the world around her, focusing only on you! No one loves, cherishes, or adores you like Mother. Even if, as you grow older, you become indifferent, rude, or disrespectful toward her, or even push her aside, remember this: you will always be the sweet child she once held in her arms.
She would do anything to make you happy. Who else would love, pamper, and care for you like Mother? Yet how many people in this world truly appreciate this? You may face hardships outside, be mistreated, but when you return home, it's Mother who showers you with love, attention, and care. But do you truly value that selfless love? Tears flow downward...
People may flatter, bow, and honor others, but they will never offer such respect to Mother, no matter how well she treats them. They treat Mother's love as something insignificant, as if it's always there and easy to come by. Why is that? Appreciate Mother while you still can, don't regret not recognizing her pure love when it's too late... Don’t let your life become like the modern proverb: 'Take it for granted, then regret it later.'

6. When You Need Mother and When You Don’t
When you were a child, whenever you made a mistake or were bullied, you would run to Mother's arms. She would open them wide to comfort you, forgive you, and offer limitless patience and care. With Mother, life felt perfect, the safest harbor. You would snuggle into her warmth, feeling like a blanket on a cold winter's night, relying on her for everything. How much you needed her then...
But as you grew older, you spread your wings and flew away. Now, you no longer need Mother. With a job and money, a career, and a social standing, you’ve forgotten about her. You take her existence for granted, as if it’s just something normal and unimportant. Now, all that matters is your own name, wealth, career, and personal life, while you leave Mother alone in her loneliness. In the very house where she once cared for you, you treat her as a stranger. Your heart now only knows itself. Mother endures the pain and humiliation in silence, hiding her tears, not wanting to burden you...
To those who walk this Earth, never abandon your Mother! If you do, life’s cruel law will teach your children to do the same. They will replicate how you treated your own Mother. She is the one who deserves to be cherished, respected, and loved above all else—never forget that!

7. Will You Come Home for This Year's Tết?
Some children leave to fight for their country, unable to return to visit their mothers for years, or some leave and never return. Every day, Mother feels a deep longing, worrying and yearning for her child, hoping for the day of reunion. As the years pass, each Tết brings with it an added year to Mother's age, and her longing for you grows deeper, more unbearable. Who truly understands the heartache of a lonely mother?
Then there are those who go far away, chasing their futures, seeking a living, leaving Mother behind to wait, lonely and weary. Mother's tears have run dry from missing you, but do you even notice? Does it cross your mind if she’s well, if her life is peaceful, if she’s healthy? You don’t know, do you?
You are everything to Mother. It seems as if she lives only for you, that her heart holds only you. Do you understand? Just look into her tired eyes and weary face, and you'll see the vast, ocean-like love she holds for you. In the end, you are the very reason she exists in this world...

8. The Picture of Mother's Life
For nine months and ten days, Mother carried the blood of her love for her child. How can the gratitude for giving life be fully expressed in one lifetime? That photograph perfectly captures Mother's life, from the moment she carried her child. Everything in her life revolved around her little one. As time passed, and as you grew older, it became clear that Mother’s back grew bent, her eyes weak, and she began to rely on you. The final image is of Mother leaving this world, and it is a moment that shakes us all, making us realize that our mothers are no longer young...
Mother’s life story always has you at the center, whether she was young, old, or even after leaving this world. It’s clear that you, her little one, have always been etched deep within her heart.

9. The Heroic Vietnamese Mother
These are the cherished images that surface every July. The figure of the grieving mother, mourning her child who died on the battlefield. How painful it is when both her husband and child never return. Those tears are a mix of sorrow for the loss and pride for the loved ones who sacrificed heroically for the nation, tears of longing after years of separation.
It’s also the image of a mother crying as she bids farewell, sending her child off to war, not knowing if they will ever return. How can we ever describe the fear and pain she feels in that moment? The longing, the years of waiting, hoping to one day be reunited with her child. And then, it’s the tears of joy when her child, who left for war, finally returns. For a mother, the true victory is not the medals won on the battlefield, but the return of her child, flesh and blood, safe and sound, as poet Nguyễn Khoa Điềm wrote.
These are the heroic Vietnamese mothers, truly extraordinary. They gave birth to the nation’s heroes and endured the heartbreak of losing their beloved children, all to protect the future happiness of others. These mothers are both noble and deeply sorrowful.

10. A Mother's Smile
A single smile can dispel all the sorrow and suffering of a lifetime. Mother, please keep smiling brightly, smile as much as you can. Because for every child, the greatest wish is to see their mother smile. It’s like a vast sky, a shining star in the heart of every child.
A mother's smile is priceless, for it represents resilience, forgiveness, selflessness, and the strength she shows in the face of life's fiercest storms. Her smile defies the cruel world, refusing to yield to the bitterness of fate. As the poem says, "If I could turn back time, I would trade a lifetime just to hear my mother’s laughter." Mother, please smile even more!
