1. Return to the Sea
The sea of Phu Quoc at sunset
Golden rays linger over the vast ocean
Silver streaks of waves hum a love song.
So sweet, the sea and the sun's embrace.
The boat gently sways, heading joyfully to shore
Waves frolic, splashing foam upon our boat
Hair flows, carrying the scent of the sea
Our hearts beat in harmony with the dreamy sea.
Where the sunset and waves share verses of poetry
Our love is immersed in the warmth of the sea's embrace
Though time may silver our hair with age
We remain in love, endlessly... oh, the sea!
Poem by: Hai Oanh

2. Beloved Phu Quoc
My first visit to the beloved Phu Quoc
A land where pepper gardens adorn the hills
The ripe purple of the sim forest, vibrant and fresh
Bright pearls gleam under the moon's soft glow
The island sparkles, glowing in the open sea
Standing proudly between earth and sky
Stretching out like a dolphin gliding through waves
This jewel of an island shines with radiant beauty!
Poem by: Nguyen Quang Tuyen

3. Phu Quoc, a Meeting Point
Phu Quoc, we have arrived at this place
A green island standing between the sky and the sea
Waves crash on the shore, frothing in white
Golden sands shaded by rows of lush coconut trees
The land whispers the stories of war
Messages for the future to remember history
Where suffering held many brave soldiers
The harsh whips of the enemy's torment
The witnesses of past wars still remain here
Countless lives were sacrificed heroically
For the nation, for a brighter tomorrow
For the homeland to find peace once more
Now Phu Quoc is developing rapidly
The island, a paradise, a place to live and thrive
The ancient forests stir with lively energy
Vietnam, how incredibly beautiful your land is
Goodbye, Phu Quoc, your memory lingers…!
Poem by: Hao Tran

4. The Southern Land
If you journey to the waters of the West,
The endless fields, where storks fly through the sky.
The cajeput trees call to the lazy sun,
The lotus flowers bloom, swaying in the gentle breeze.
The folk song soars through the air,
The kìm (a traditional instrument) hums, day and night in Can Tho.
Ninh Kieu, a dreamlike wharf, a harbor of dreams,
Abundant fruits on both sides of Hau Giang.
Visiting Phu Quoc in Kien Giang,
The green mountains and emerald waters radiate the warmth of human kindness.
In life, it is a place you only visit once,
But even when far away, you will always remember the land and sky of the West.
Poem by: Mai Van Nhan

5. Coming to Kien Giang
I quietly adore the land of Kien Giang,
The day I arrived, my heart was filled with joy,
A few famous spots to visit,
Ha Tien, Rach Gia… with lovely ladies everywhere.
The scenes are poetic, full of charm,
How beautifully crafted is this perfect picture?
I miss Hon Dat, Sister Su,
The brave hero from the time of glorious struggles.
Visit U Minh Thuong, the vast greenery,
A sky full of shade, filling my heart with warmth.
Drop by Phu Quoc, secretly wishing,
The paradise island where the wind blows through blooming flowers.
The sea, like a graceful young lady,
Smiling as her song echoes over endless distances.
Relax and unwind in golden slumber,
Let the poet's soul soar with the evening breeze.
Enjoy a sip of Sim wine, my dear,
Indulge in the seafood and fall deeply in love with the taste.
Taste the purest fish sauce,
Gently savoring memories, immersed in joy.
Seafood noodle soup, a satisfying treat,
Sticky rice cake, close to my lips,
And pepper, the best quality, so delicious.
All of this, warm for the cheeks of the crabs.
Kien Giang, refreshing morning and noon,
As waves tease playfully, loving each other tenderly.

6. I Return to the Sea of Your Homeland
Can you see the sunset embrace the sea?
The swallows soar high, spinning and dancing together in the sky.
The water is a deep blue, with the whispers of the wind.
The waves gently crash, embracing the shore's golden sand.
Do you hear the ocean's sweet melody?
The forest's fragrance mingles with it, intoxicating us.
The sun gently kisses your flowing hair,
As I softly hold your graceful form, lost in its beauty.
Look out, my love, beyond the water's surface,
There, the boats drift endlessly on the horizon,
Fishermen live their lives in harmony with the sea and sky,
This homeland nurtures my soul, keeping it forever vibrant.
My love, don't you see how beautiful Phu Quoc is?
The long stretches of golden sand, the green palm trees,
The fish swim joyfully, while birds chirp cheerfully on the branches,
Every view here is a masterpiece, captured in the eyes of the beholder.
Whispering softly, I call out to you, “My love,”
After all these longing days, I finally weave our dreams together.
The tranquil land welcomes you, my muse,
And the poet stands, mesmerized by your graceful figure.
My love, rest your head on my shoulder and cry,
Your tears of joy are like pearls of yearning.
The peaceful sea mirrors my stirring heart,
My love, let us kiss, forever entwined!

7. Phu Quoc
The island is like a green turtle,
Swimming endlessly amidst the infinite waves.
It never seems to reach the shore,
Always yearning for the distant land.
The coconut trees bend in the wind,
The fertile island shores, rich in silt,
Fishing nets stretch out across the fields,
Eagerly awaiting the signal to set sail.
Through all the seasons, the island is alive,
The sea gives birth to new life,
Shrimp and fish make their way back to the land,
The island embraces all with open arms.
The evening kitchen fills with fragrant smoke,
An Thoi port welcomes the return of the boats,
The lights on the water beckon the fish,
Like distant stars in the dark sky.
The island, like a son far from home,
Keeps the peace of the sea safe and sound,
Tomorrow, when I return to the city,
I'll forever remember you, my dear island!

8. Phu Quoc, My Beloved
Phu Quoc, my homeland, how beautiful you are!
The pearl island amidst the vast sea bay,
The winds sing softly, stirring the heart,
And in people's hearts, the salty love remains.
Phu Quoc, my homeland, not filled with dazzling colors,
No towering buildings, no streetlights shining bright,
The rocky shores, they accompany me as friends,
The red soil has followed me through many years.
I love my homeland, I love you so much, Phu Quoc!
I love the lullabies from my mother on hot summer afternoons,
I love the smoke rising gently through the window bars,
I love the pure waters that flow like the milk of our land.
I love the flowers of youth, blooming with love,
I love the grass leaves sparkling with morning dew,
I lie back and listen to the sea’s salty breath,
It seeps into my heart – the island of my homeland.
Here, it is simple, with only the lonely sea foam and the deep green forest,
But in me, it holds sacred things,
I love my homeland... I will always love Phu Quoc!
Phu Quoc, my homeland, you are absolutely stunning,
Come, wander here, and you’ll surely find joy,
The sweet taste of coconut water on the white sands,
The saltiness of the land, and the warmth of the people.

9. Come Back Soon
Will you come to Phu Quoc with me?
This homeland is as sweet as a mother's milk
Through rainy seasons and sunshine, the beauty of youth is renewed
The distant waves whispering secrets of sorrow.
Come back soon, the homeland has been waiting for so long
On the rocky shores, the waves miss you deeply
Like the determined Dã Tràng searching for a wife
The mountain stream and the endless shores await with love.
Come back soon, the flowers are blooming with fragrance
The northern birds are searching for their home
The purple blossoms fill the heart with longing
The forest birds sing your awaited return.
Come back soon, for I long for you
The cold northern winds pierce my heart on this island
Come here, with the magic of love
And pour into me the warmth and fragrance of devotion.
Come back soon, let's walk by the blue sea
The moon dances in the calm night, floating gracefully
The golden light spreads over the waves,
And my heart is enchanted by memories of distant love.
Look, the areca nuts have turned white, and the betel leaves shine green
The ocean breeze softly sings a melody
Changing my longing heart, eager for your return.
Come back soon, let my heart forever sing of desire
Leaving behind all the struggles of life
Give me the scent of love and hope
And the homeland forever waits for you, my bride.
Poetry by: Duong Tuan

10. Phu Quoc
Phu Quoc today is absolutely stunning!
The golden sun shines brightly across every corner.
The calm waves gently embrace the sandy beach
And the trees form a lush, vibrant green carpet.
Phu Quoc, so gentle and lovely, my dear!
There’s a girl who misses me deeply,
Though miles apart, separated by vast distances,
Her heart beats with longing for me.
Phu Quoc - this place from years gone by,
Where the souls of heroes rest in peace.
The cruel enemies are long gone,
And today, the Pearl Island is beautiful all year round.
I miss Phu Quoc so much!
The feelings of longing stir my very soul,
I send my love to that special girl,
And I gift her the vast sky and the endless sea.
