1. 'Sitting Back, Eating Gold' - RTee
With a musical product in the city pop and synth-wave genres, rapper Rtee showcases a remarkable breakthrough in the MV 'Sitting Back, Eating Gold'. This track marks Rtee's return to the Vietnamese music scene, collaborating with producer 2pillz for the music production.
'Sitting Back, Eating Gold' is a piece that breathes the essence of city pop, a Japanese pop genre that has made a resurgence. Additionally, synth-wave influences were added to the arrangement to bring a 1980s vibe to the song. Rtee shared that The Weeknd was his inspiration for exploring this new musical style. Moreover, Binz, Rtee's mentor from 'Rap Viet', assisted in perfecting the synth-wave elements in 'Sitting Back, Eating Gold'. Rtee, known for his previous rap track 'Choosing Your Friends', which featured traditional folk elements, continues to incorporate such influences in the title 'Sitting Back, Eating Gold', a famous saying passed down through generations. The key difference between this track and 'Choosing Your Friends' is that 'Sitting Back, Eating Gold' carries a more contemporary sound, with Rtee using more vocals to craft a piece that appeals to a broader audience. Rtee's ongoing desire to experiment with music ensures his work remains fresh and that listeners are always eager for what comes next.
The MV for 'Sitting Back, Eating Gold' follows a cyberpunk (sci-fi) concept, with standout moments focusing on the imagery and transitions. The story, portrayed through Rtee's and a female co-star's performance, depicts a love story that could unfold anywhere in the universe, without time constraints.

The song is the creation of Mono and Onionn. Mono, a relatively new artist, has quickly gained attention, especially since many recognize him as the younger brother of the popular singer Sơn Tùng M-TP.
Despite being in the spotlight with Waiting For You, even after a month of its release, and despite the buzz surrounding Mono's successful performance in Hanoi, which garnered media attention and flooded social media with clips, the song continues to thrive.

3. Vì Chính Là Em - Hồ Ngọc Hà
After the positive response from her performance at the Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 final, Hồ Ngọc Hà released the music video for Vì Chính Là Em in an eye-catching dance version, captivating young audiences on YouTube. The song, composed by Phúc Bồ with lyrics by Đỗ Hiếu, blends an addictive, catchy rhythm with a mix of Arabic music influences and Vietnamese House beats, aligning with global musical trends. Hồ Ngọc Hà worked with her team on several recordings, refining the track through four demos before choosing the final version. She also spent a day in the studio overseeing the arrangement, which was then sent to Only C for mastering. The video was filmed in a studio with Hồ Ngọc Hà performing in a stylish jumpsuit alongside a group of dancers, captured with stunning visuals. This release marks her return to the dance genre after her 2020 ballad album Love Songs 3. Initially, the performance was planned only for the Miss Universe Vietnam finale in Ho Chi Minh City, but seeing the audience's enthusiasm, she and director Đinh Hà Uyên Thư decided to create the music video. The production team put a lot of effort into this, involving various styles and numerous recording sessions, with Hồ Ngọc Hà dedicating an entire day at the studio working on the music and lyrics.
Even though it’s a dance version music video, Hồ Ngọc Hà invested in fresh, fashionable, and high-class outfits, presenting a new look that stands out from her previous videos.

4. Nhẫn Tâm Là Em - Nguyễn Trần Trung Quân
Following the impressive success of Denis Đặng's short film The Last Goodbye, Nguyễn Trần Trung Quân swiftly released the first official soundtrack. The movie’s success is, in part, attributed to the emotional power of the soundtrack. The first song from The Last Goodbye series, Nhẫn Tâm Là Em, has resonated with audiences, becoming a standout piece, beautifully performed by Nguyễn Trần Trung Quân. 7. He Doesn’t Know - Madihu, Vũ
He Doesn’t Know marks the first collaboration between Madihu and Vũ after eight years of friendship. The catchy melody and lyrics are sure to become a viral trend on social media in the coming time. Despite the upbeat tune, the lyrics evoke a sense of nostalgia and sadness, like a feather gently brushing the heart of every listener.
He Doesn’t Know has a soothing, peaceful vibe that reflects the musical essence of both Madihu and Vũ. But beyond that, the song also captures the endearing and somewhat naive side of men when it comes to love. It is a song about love, with a melody that is both addictive and charming. The song tells the story of longing for past moments, the things the protagonist has lost. From the unfinished hug to the scent in someone’s hair, the guy in the song can recount many things that make him regret, questioning himself for the things he didn’t know. While Madihu, playing the main character in the MV, experiences a rollercoaster of emotions—frustration, avoidance, confusion, sweetness, regret, and loneliness—Vũ takes on a more laid-back role. In the same costume and setting as his 2019 MV Summer of You, Vũ seems to have accidentally stepped into the MV of He Doesn’t Know and gotten caught in his friend's story.
Vũ’s Summer of You, released in 2019 and produced by Madihu, was his first song after joining Warner Music Vietnam. It was at this same location, three years later, that Madihu shot his first MV with the label, with Vũ making a cameo as a welcome gesture to his collaborator.

8. In the Midst of It - Phan Mạnh Quỳnh
Phan Mạnh Quỳnh expresses the inner turmoil of a woman caught in an uncommitted relationship in the MV for In the Midst of It, a song he wrote back in 2017 but only completed recently. The song draws inspiration from a friend’s relationship, where the partner was away working abroad for years.
The couple had made promises, planned a wedding, but kept delaying, eventually leading to a breakup. The song reflects the emotions of women who find themselves in relationships that are stuck but can’t bring themselves to let go. After finalizing the demo, Phan Mạnh Quỳnh sent it to Khắc Hưng for arrangement and production. The two had previously collaborated on the hit Get Out of That Person’s Life in 2016. Khắc Hưng’s modern approach to music gave Phan Mạnh Quỳnh peace of mind. In the Midst of It features an upbeat tempo, a departure from the more melancholic tunes Phan Mạnh Quỳnh is known for, marking a return to a more energetic musical style he once explored. The MV portrays the love story of three women who endure sacrifices, hoping for happiness, only to end up with loneliness. Despite singing about the sadness of love, the song ends on a hopeful note, encouraging women to move past their sorrow and believe that a better future awaits.
Returning to the music scene amid a flurry of new releases, Phan Mạnh Quỳnh refrains from commenting on the views or rankings of his songs, acknowledging that success depends on many factors. For him, the most important thing is to connect with his listeners and have them empathize with his music.

9. Do You Remember? - Vũ, Trang
Do You Remember? is a track from Vũ’s physical album One Million Years, a project that has been in the works for three years. The song features Trang, and its immediate reception by fans has been overwhelmingly positive. With a soothing melody and the emotional vocals of both Vũ and Trang, Do You Remember? quickly became the best closing track of the album.
The ending track of the album beautifully captures the essence of the memories and journey shared between the two, as they reflect on the bittersweet ending of a first love. A heartfelt thank you to Vũ for releasing such an outstanding piece of music. The arrangement of Do You Remember?, with its dominant guitar, evokes memories of Vũ’s earlier indie days in 2016-2017, where he was often seen performing with just his guitar, creating a deep connection with the audience through raw, intimate songs about love and loss. Vũ’s music has always been intertwined with a sense of melancholy and solitude in love. However, over time, Vũ has grown, and his music has evolved. In Step Over the Season of Loneliness and Step Over Each Other, the sadness remains but without sinking into nostalgia; Vũ acknowledges that the past is gone, and it’s time to appreciate it and move forward. Indie music is for artists who work independently, without the support of major labels or management companies, creating and sharing their own work. Vũ was once known as the 'Indie Prince of Vietnam,' thanks to his unique musical style.
Now, many are celebrating Vũ’s move to Warner Music Group, one of the biggest record companies in the world, where he’s able to enjoy the benefits of professional support while still maintaining his artistic integrity, though the title of Indie Prince remains a cherished part of his journey.

Unfinished Love draws its inspiration from two famous works of art: Xuân Diệu's poem Love and Vinh Sử’s song Love Is Beautiful Only When It Is Incomplete. The song’s chorus cleverly incorporates lines from both, blending poetic beauty with musical depth.
This melancholic ballad about an unfinished love quickly became a fan favorite. Just days after its release on Zing MP3, it surpassed several major hits to claim the top spot on the Zing chart, nearing 1.4 million views. Đình Dũng’s heartfelt performance captures the lingering emotions of a man unable to forget his past love, resonating deeply with listeners. His voice, filled with introspection and regret, conveys the pain of parting from someone he once loved passionately. Before the official release, Đình Dũng shared two different demo versions of the song, both of which received positive feedback online and helped the track dominate the music charts in Vietnam.
Đình Dũng is a talented artist capable of writing and performing his own music with great success. With Unfinished Love, he stepped out of his comfort zone by choosing to write and perform a song that was deeply personal, allowing him to refresh his creative approach and further nourish his passion for music.
