1. Home Remedy for Hemorrhoids Using Turmeric Root

2. Hemorrhoid Remedy Using Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a natural product rich in valuable nutrients such as antioxidants, vitamins E and D, and beneficial fatty acids like caproic and capric acids. Besides its known benefits for skin care and rejuvenation, coconut oil plays a vital role in treating mild hemorrhoids (stages 1 and 2). It helps eliminate bacteria, prevents infections in hemorrhoidal lumps, and slows down the prolapse of hemorrhoids (commonly referred to as ‘piles’), while also aiding in their shrinkage.
How to use:
- For internal hemorrhoids:
- Clean the ice tray thoroughly and allow it to dry. Fill each compartment of the tray with liquid coconut oil and freeze into pill-sized cubes for future use.
- Before applying the coconut oil treatment, it is recommended to clean the anal area with a diluted saltwater solution for enhanced effectiveness. Insert one frozen coconut oil cube (as prepared earlier) deeply into the anus. Afterward, lie face down for 40-60 minutes (or lie on your back with a pillow under your hips if more comfortable) to ensure the oil melts and is absorbed into the hemorrhoidal tissue, without leaking out. Apply twice daily, morning and night.
- For external hemorrhoids:
- Begin by cleaning the anal area and swollen hemorrhoids with diluted saltwater. Then, soak a clean piece of gauze or cloth with liquid coconut oil and apply it to the affected area, securing it in place for optimal effect. Repeat this process 2-3 times a day, and after about two weeks, significant improvement should be noticeable.

3. Hemorrhoid Remedy Using Betel Leaves
According to traditional remedies, using betel leaves for hemorrhoid treatment has shown remarkable results. - Wash 15-20 betel leaves and place them in a pot with boiling water. Once the water has cooled down to a warm temperature, pour it into a basin and soak the anal area for 15 minutes.
- Repeat 1-2 times daily. With consistent use over two weeks, you will see the hemorrhoids shrink, showing clear improvement.
- Method 2: Combine Betel Leaves, Soapberry, Bitter Gourd Seeds, and Areca Nut
- Wash all the ingredients thoroughly. Break the areca nut and bitter gourd seeds to release more essential oil.
- Add all the ingredients into a pot with about 1.5 to 2 liters of water.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15 minutes to allow the medicinal properties to infuse into the water.
- Afterward, use the steam as described in Method 1.

8. Treating Early-Stage Hemorrhoids
At Mytour, we want to share an important message: if you are just starting to experience hemorrhoids, it's crucial to treat them right away. Don't wait too long, as the condition can worsen, causing pain, bleeding, and severe damage that will require medical intervention. Therefore, once you notice the symptoms, you can begin home treatment to prevent further complications. The first step is to ensure proper hygiene after every bathroom visit. Clean the anal area thoroughly to avoid aggravating the hemorrhoids and prevent moisture buildup, itching, and possible infection.
Soaking in warm water for 15-20 minutes daily can be a helpful way to relax, improve blood circulation, reduce pain, and provide effective anti-inflammatory relief. Remember to wear loose, comfortable clothing to avoid friction that could harm the hemorrhoids. It's also crucial to maintain a healthy diet: drink plenty of water, avoid spicy and irritating foods, and consume more fruits and vegetables to promote bowel regularity and prevent constipation, the main cause of hemorrhoids. Regular exercise is also essential to keep the condition at bay.

9. Treating Hemorrhoids with Vietnamese Fish Mint
Vietnamese fish mint, or rau diếp cá, may not be the most palatable herb due to its pungent taste, but it is incredibly beneficial for treating hemorrhoids. Additionally, it has anti-inflammatory properties, reduces swelling, and improves blood circulation.
How to use:
- Method 1: Simply wash the leaves and consume them raw as part of your diet, or crush them and drink the juice daily.
- Method 2: For a more direct remedy, steam the fish mint leaves and inhale the steam to treat the anal area. After boiling 200g of leaves for 10 minutes, pour the water into a basin and use it to wash the affected area. For best results, repeat this procedure twice a day, or at least once a day. Combining both methods will speed up the healing process.
