Gong Ji-cheol, born on July 10, 1979, is a South Korean actor known by his stage name Gong Yoo. His stage name is derived from his father's surname 'Gong' and his mother's surname 'Yoo.' Gong Yoo graduated with a B.A. in Theater from Kyung Hee University. He started his career with minor roles in dramas and films, with his debut being in the 2001 film 'School 4.' In 2005, he landed his first leading role in the SBS drama 'Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy,' where he starred alongside Gong Hyo-jin. Gong Yoo's acting talent caught the eye of directors and viewers, positioning him as one of the industry's promising stars. He later starred in the romantic comedy 'Coffee Prince' on MBC, where his role as Choi Han-kyul became one of his most memorable. The success of the series helped Gong Yoo become a leading figure in the Hallyu wave.
Gong Yoo fulfilled his mandatory military service from January 14, 2008, to December 8, 2009. He returned to acting with the romantic comedy 'Finding Mr. Destiny,' which was a commercial success. 2. Ji Chang Wook
Ji Chang-wook, born on July 5, 1987, is a South Korean actor who began his career in musical theater. He gained widespread recognition for his role in the popular drama 'Smile Again' which became one of the highest-rated dramas in South Korea in the first half of 2011, achieving a 41% viewership rating. However, it was his portrayal of Emperor Ta-hwan in 'Empress Ki' that propelled Ji Chang-wook to stardom, earning him numerous prestigious awards and establishing him as a top-tier actor in both South Korea and Asia. His role in 'Healer' further solidified his position as a beloved Hallyu star, especially in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and China.
In 'The K2 - The City of Illusions,' Ji Chang-wook cemented his status as one of South Korea's most sought-after action stars. On August 14, 2017, he enlisted in the military and completed his mandatory service in the 3rd Army Division, Cheorwon County, Gangwon Province. 3. Lộc Hàm
Lộc Hàm, born on April 20, 1990, is a Chinese singer and actor, formerly a member of the South Korean group EXO and EXO-M. Lộc Hàm was born and raised in Haidian District, Beijing. He is an only child, and his parents sent him to boarding schools from a young age. The details of his family background are not publicly disclosed. In 2002, Lộc Hàm developed a passion for football and became a loyal fan of Manchester United. As captain of his school football team, he led them to win the school football championship. During his school years, Lộc Hàm also participated in various artistic activities, including forming his own band, where he was the lead vocalist and released self-recorded albums. He also had his own fan club while still in school.
After graduating from Haidian Experimental Foreign Language High School, Lộc Hàm moved to South Korea to study as an exchange student at Yonsei University and later enrolled at the Seoul Institute of the Arts. In 2010, while shopping at Dongdaemun Market with a friend, Lộc Hàm was discovered by a scout from SM Entertainment. He was invited to audition for the SM Casting System and officially became a trainee at the company. After over two years of training, Lộc Hàm emerged from thousands of other trainees and debuted as a member of the new boy group EXO. In 2021, Lộc Hàm released his third physical album, 'π,' which compiled the digital album series 'π-volume1,2,3,4' released in 2019 and 2020. On March 1, 2021, Lộc Hàm became the first Chinese artist to appear on the cover of a British magazine.


4. V - BTS
Kim Tae-hyung, born on December 30, 1995, better known by his stage name V, is a South Korean singer and songwriter. He is a member of the globally renowned boy band BTS. V was born in Seo-gu, Daegu, South Korea, and raised in Geochang-gun. He is the eldest of three siblings. V first dreamed of becoming a professional singer during his elementary school years. With his father's support, he began learning the saxophone in high school as a way to pursue his singing aspirations. Eventually, V became a trainee after passing an audition with Big Hit Entertainment in Daegu.
After graduating from the Seoul Arts High School in 2014, V enrolled at Global Cyber University, majoring in Broadcasting and Entertainment, graduating in August 2020. In 2021, he began pursuing an MBA at Hanyang Cyber University, specializing in Advertising and Communications. Before his debut, V was known as the 'secret member' of BTS, with fans unaware of his existence, and all information about him was kept under wraps by the agency to create an element of surprise. V later revealed that this secrecy made him feel insecure and isolated, fearing he could be removed from the group. In 2021, V contributed to the soundtrack of the tvN drama 'Our Beloved Summer' and released the song 'Christmas Tree' on December 24. The song debuted at No. 79 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking V's first solo entry on the chart.


5. Jeon Jung-kook
Jeon Jung-kook, born on September 1, 1997, known by his stage name Jungkook, is a South Korean singer and songwriter. He is the youngest member and the main vocalist of the globally popular boy band BTS. Jungkook is the youngest in his family, having one older sibling. He attended Baekyang Elementary School and Baekyang Middle School in Busan before moving to Singu High School in Seoul after becoming a trainee.
Initially, Jungkook dreamt of becoming a badminton player, but after watching G-Dragon's performance of 'Heartbreaker' on TV, he decided to pursue a career in music. In 2011, Jungkook auditioned for the South Korean talent show Superstar K in Daegu, and although he wasn’t selected, he received invitations from seven entertainment companies. He ultimately chose to become a trainee under Big Hit Entertainment after watching RM, who is now his fellow BTS member and group leader, perform.
In preparation for his debut, Jeon Jung-kook went to Los Angeles in the summer of 2012 to train at Movement Lifestyle to improve his dance skills. That same year, he appeared in Jo Kwon's music video for 'I'm Da One' and also danced for the girl group Glam before making his official debut. He graduated from the Seoul Performing Arts High School in 2017. In November 2016, Jungkook made the decision to forgo the CSAT, Korea's national university entrance exam. By 2021, he was studying Broadcasting and Entertainment at Global Cyber University. In 2018, Jungkook, along with his BTS members, was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea for their contributions to spreading Korean culture and language worldwide.


6. Cha Eun-woo
Lee Dong-min, born on March 30, 1997, is widely known by his stage name Cha Eun-woo. He is a South Korean singer, model, and actor, and a member of the boy band Astro, managed by Fantagio. Cha Eun-woo attended Hanlim Arts High School and later enrolled at Sungkyunkwan University in 2016, where he pursued a degree in acting, after being accepted in November 2015. Before making his official debut with Astro, Eun-woo was introduced as a trainee ahead of the group's public image reveal.
Cha Eun-woo has shared that he is skilled in playing the piano, guitar, and violin. His fellow Astro member JinJin has also mentioned that Eun-woo and he are the two best English speakers in the group. Eun-woo is also fluent in Japanese and Chinese. Known for his 'ManJjitNam' image (a handsome figure like a character from a comic book), Cha Eun-woo is popular in South Korea, especially with his famous phrase, 'Bias is bias, Cha Eun Woo is Cha Eun Woo,' from episode 76 of 'How Do You Play?' on MBC. Eun-woo has also dabbled in various other activities such as swimming, basketball, acting, and modeling.


7. Jin - BTS
Jin - BTS is a South Korean singer and songwriter, known as the eldest member of the globally popular K-pop group BTS. He was born in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, as the youngest of two brothers. Jin was discovered by Big Hit Entertainment while out shopping, impressed by his appearance, even though he was studying acting at the time and had no formal background in music. Initially, he auditioned as an actor before transitioning to a trainee role, ultimately debuting as one of the four main vocalists of BTS with their debut album, '2 Cool 4 Skool.' Over the years, his career skyrocketed, and he gained widespread fame, becoming a prominent K-pop idol with a massive fan following.
Aside from his musical career, Jin has also hosted numerous South Korean music shows, including Inkigayo (SBS) in 2016 and the KBS Song Festival (KBS) in 2018. In 2018, Jin and his BTS members were awarded the Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea for their contributions to spreading Korean culture worldwide.


8. Lee Min Ho
Lee Min-ho, born June 22, 1987, is a South Korean actor and model, best known for his roles as Goo Jun-pyo in 'Boys Over Flowers,' Lee Yoon Sung in 'City Hunter,' Kim Tan in 'The Heirs' (2013), and Lee Gon in 'The King: Eternal Monarch' (2020). Raised in a well-off family in Seoul, Lee initially dreamed of becoming a professional football player. He was selected for a youth football team managed by former player Cha Bum-kun, but an injury during his first year of high school dashed his sports dreams. In his second year, Lee shifted his focus to becoming a cosmetics streamer. He later completed a degree in Film & Arts at Konkuk University.
Lee Min-ho made a comeback to television with 'The Heirs,' a teen drama directed by Kim Eun-sook. When asked why he chose to play the role of a chaebol heir in a high school setting, four years after his success in 'Boys Over Flowers,' Lee responded, 'Before I turn 20, I wanted to play a character who is more optimistic, a role that lets me return to the simple innocence I had when I was younger.' 9. Dương Dương
Dương Dương, born September 9, 1991, is a Chinese actor known for his role as Cao Shushi in the TV series 'The King's Avatar.' In 2008, he was selected to play Jia Baoyu in the 2010 remake of the classic 'Dream of the Red Chamber.' In 2015, Dương Dương earned recognition for his roles in various dramas, including as the passionate Taekwondo master Guo Ruobai in 'Whirlwind Girl,' the cool and devoted Zhang Qiling in 'The Lost Tomb,' the aloof yet caring Wu Tsing in 'Legend of the Four Gentlemen,' and the rebellious He Yu in 'Secret of the Three Kingdoms.'
