Fighting corruption, with unwavering faith
Resolute to wipe out the evil forces

With his departure, the whole nation is shaken
When the news of his passing spread

Upon hearing the news that Doctor Trọng had passed
The bright star ascended to the realm of the Buddha.

Nguyễn Phú Trọng, a brilliant and virtuous man
He burned away corruption, exposing the wrongdoers
He stood firm for discipline and the law
No one was exempt, justice was pursued relentlessly.

Through his light, many shadows were dispelled
He is gone, yet the memories linger
The trailblazer, the leader of the Party
With his morals as his guiding beacon.

The whole nation mourns this tremendous loss
A truly simple man, pure in every way
Vietnam, oh! Our nation is so proud
