1. Plants vs Zombies 3
Plants vs Zombies 3 is a strategic tower defense game in the familiar Plants vs Zombies style, offering new challenges for those who enjoy adventure and battling hordes of aggressive zombies. The latest version of Plants vs Zombies 3 was confirmed to be in development last year.
After a year of development, Plants vs Zombies 3 has finally launched in select countries with new maps and game modes that allow players to gradually advance through the stages. The graphics have a playful design that differs from the previous two games.
The game is now available on both the App Store and Google Play in the Philippines. It is a free mobile game that can be downloaded on selected smartphones, including iPhone 6S and newer, Samsung Galaxy S6 and newer, and other Android devices. A major gameplay change is the automatic sun production, replacing the need for Sunflowers, which accelerates the game pace. Additionally, the game now displays vertically on smartphones rather than horizontally for better optimization.
Currently, Plants vs Zombies 3 is only available in the Philippines on the App Store and Google Play, but Vietnamese players can still experience it early by installing the Apk file for Android or changing the App Store region for iOS users. The game's publisher, PopCap, has announced plans to expand the release to more countries worldwide soon.

2. Assassin’s Creed Pirates
Assassin's Creed: Pirates brings the thrilling action of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag to mobile, letting players engage in epic naval battles as pirates. For any self-proclaimed gamer, the Assassin's Creed series is iconic, alongside other open-world games like Grand Theft Auto, InFamous, and Saints Row dominating PC/Console platforms.
Despite its massive success, Assassin's Creed didn’t forget the mobile space, releasing spin-offs alongside major titles. In the case of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Ubisoft launched the mobile version, Assassin's Creed Pirates, shortly after. Following its debut, this game has continued to captivate fans with exciting new updates like 'Freedom.' This update takes players to Isla de la Juventud, a famous pirate haven rich with undiscovered treasure. The game also allows you to customize your ship, from its colors to its sail insignias, letting players express their personalities. The combat system has been enhanced with new abilities, like the Spider Shot, which can disrupt enemy attacks. Additionally, the Freedom update adds a new fishing feature with eight types of fish waiting to be caught.
In the original version, Assassin's Creed: Pirates doesn’t have players take on the role of Assassin Edward Kenway, but instead, you control the pirate Alonzo Batilla, who embarks on a treasure hunt. The core gameplay focuses on naval combat, similar to the sea battles introduced in Assassin's Creed III and carried over into Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

3. This War of Mine
Developed by Polish studio 11 Bit Studios, known for the Anomaly series, This War of Mine tells the story of innocent civilians trapped in the chaos of civil war, struggling daily against hunger, destruction, and the constant threat of bombings.
Since its release last November, This War of Mine has made a lasting impact on players, becoming a true icon in the survival adventure genre, thanks to its innovative gameplay and distinctive graphics. Not only has the game captivated players, but it has also contributed to important causes, particularly through its War Child DLC, which supports war orphans worldwide. The most remarkable feature of This War of Mine is the diverse narrative it offers, with each character having their own unique backstory, personality, and responses to events, leading to multiple possible endings. With a total of 12 characters, the game offers countless scenarios, shaped by the choices made by the player. Small details, such as Katia’s love for coffee or Bruno’s smoking habit, influence their moods, especially in such dire conditions. Additionally, Pavle’s speed, Roman’s sharpshooting skills, and Marko’s stamina all play vital roles. Choosing the right tasks for each character not only boosts productivity but also increases survival chances when they venture out to scavenge for supplies at night, where fleeing is often the best strategy.
Thanks to its success, 11 Bit Studios decided to bring This War of Mine to iOS and Android, with adjustments to controls for a better touchscreen experience.

4. Combat Master
Combat Master, a recently released first-person shooter (FPS) game, brings players into the action from a first-person perspective. In FPS games, players only see their hands and weapons, without a full view of their character’s body.
This genre is one of the easiest to access and the most popular in the gaming industry today. As the name suggests, in Combat Master, players step directly into the role of the protagonist, with only their hands, weapons (sometimes legs), and the surrounding environment visible on the screen. Don’t worry if this is your first FPS game; it’s designed to be easy for beginners to jump in and get the hang of it. Combat Master has been enthusiastically received by FPS fans, who had been eagerly awaiting this release. Despite facing issues with copyright and being removed from Google Play and the App Store, it was officially re-released with a new update on December 26. Developed by Alfa Bravo Inc, the game features minimalist graphics to ensure smooth gameplay. The game is only 665MB in size after installation, making it ideal for online play, with ultra settings available for an enhanced visual experience with a steady 60 frames per second.
Moreover, Combat Master offers exceptional performance with AAA-quality graphics, loading at lightning speed, allowing players to jump straight into the action. It’s optimized for both low-end and high-end devices, with adjustable settings to tailor the experience. You can enjoy long play sessions without overheating your device, while also optimizing battery life.

5. Asphalt 9
After waiting for over six months, Asphalt 9 Legends has finally been officially released worldwide. Players who got in early have already noted that this version is even more challenging than the previous Airborne edition. Overall, the interface of Asphalt 9 hasn’t changed much from Asphalt 8, and personally, I still find it to be a bit cluttered and overwhelming at first glance, with bright, flashy colors that may not appeal to everyone.
When it comes to the UI/UX, I can’t say I’m overly impressed. Gameloft has packed a lot of information into a small phone screen, making the main interface a bit crowded. However, if your device can handle high graphics settings, you’ll notice the significant visual improvements in Asphalt 9. The car models look sharper and more realistic, while the nitro effects are more stunning with vibrant trails of colors surrounding the cars. The crash effects when hitting obstacles are much better, matching the fast-paced racing rhythm. Even the weather effects, like rain, and the surrounding scenery, look more lifelike. One of the game’s major updates is the inclusion of Touch Drive, an easier control system that allows players to swipe and tap to control their cars, instead of tilting their phones like before.
Asphalt 9 is designed to give players a more accessible driving experience, making it easier to focus on controlling the car. With this control style, you’ll never miss nitro boosts or fail to perform a stunt again.

As he is pursued by terrifying monsters, you must help him evade these threats and dodge various obstacles along the way. In the game, players control the character Guy Dangerous, and no matter how far you run, escaping is impossible. You'll face a variety of obstacles, such as tree branches, pits, and fire-spouting vents. 8. Headland
Headland is an exciting new action-adventure RPG mobile game from Northplay, now available on both iOS and Android platforms. In this game, the main character, Nor, embarks on a journey with his robot companions to recover the scattered pieces of his lost creative abilities.
Players will control Nor as he moves and fights using simple, intuitive swipe gestures on the screen. There are many types of weapons to unlock and upgrade, empowering the characters for the challenges ahead. Additionally, you will need to gather resources scattered throughout the game to strengthen your arsenal. Along your journey, you will meet a variety of characters in the vibrant and colorful world of Headland. Northplay's goal with Headland was to create an action-adventure game that adapts well to touch controls on mobile devices. They also sought to craft a story with deep human themes that is easily accessible to all players. This wasn’t an easy task, so the game was developed over three years, with multiple design revisions and trial-and-error phases during testing. It is a premium game that offers 5 hours of gameplay, though players can enjoy the first 30 minutes for free to see if it suits their tastes.
In Headland, your objective is to guide Nor through various territories, battling enemies while collecting resources. These resources allow you to upgrade and unlock new abilities, making Nor stronger as you progress through the game.

9. Dawn Break – Origin
Dawn Break Origin is an action-packed mobile RPG that brings a vivid, animated world to life. Developed by Taiwanese game studio Auer Media & Entertainment, this game tells the story of a fight against fate. The narrative unfolds in a land overtaken by darkness, where an enigmatic woman descends from the sky, sparking the beginning of an epic battle. The story invites players to explore and uncover its many mysteries.
Featuring stunning 3D graphics in a colorful, cartoonish style, Dawn Break Origin draws players in with its vibrant visuals and exhilarating skill effects. The fast-paced combo attacks are so rapid that they’re almost too quick for the eye to follow, keeping players engaged and constantly intrigued by each new twist in the game. Like other RPGs, players can choose from one of three character classes, each with its own unique combat style. As you progress, upgrading your character is essential to overcoming increasingly difficult challenges. In Dawn Break Origin, companions play a crucial role in boosting your character’s skills, making PvP battles easier. With its focus on fast, action-packed combat, the game features a non-target combat system that allows for free movement and fluid execution of attacks. Instead of having a wide range of unique skills for each character, the game simplifies the controls with just two main buttons: A and B for attack, a buff button to enhance your power, and a virtual joystick on the left side of the screen for movement.
This innovative combat system means that the A and B buttons don’t have cooldowns like traditional skills. Instead, players must focus on timing their combos and executing them with precision.
