If this continues, the country will be filled with bookworms who lack critical thinking and action, with brains focused only on memorization. Worse yet, some people learn only for career advancement, not for genuine knowledge acquisition. This has led to a phenomenon where people pay others to study or take exams on their behalf. In the end, the person who learns for someone else spends only a few hours earning a meager sum, while the person who hires them never truly learns or practices.
I once heard a story about a student asking their mentor for guidance on practical exercises. The mentor searched through the manual for hours but could not come up with a solution. This reflects the laziness of not engaging in practice. Therefore, remember this: Learning must be accompanied by practice. Learning without practice is no different from not learning at all—it wastes time and is meaningless. The saying, "What is easy to say is hard to do," is a sharp critique of the habit of learning without practicing. After all, how can one be good at something they have never actually done?
"Learning must go hand in hand with practice" is an accurate principle that serves as a guiding star for Vietnam's education system. It aims to develop well-rounded youth who are proficient in both theory and practical skills, saving costs on additional training. For students, we must firmly grasp this principle: when learning to write, we must practice writing; when learning martial arts, we must practice techniques; when studying mathematics, we must tackle problems. Only in this way can theory become more than just theory—it will blend seamlessly with practice to produce excellent results.
