1. Compare your notes with the video's script

2. Imitate the announcer’s speech

3. Master your skills

4. Practice perfect English pronunciation through movies, videos, and English songs
Fluent communication is not just about pronouncing individual words correctly. You must also be able to pronounce entire sentences with proper intonation, just like a native speaker. To achieve this, you can practice mimicking characters in movies, videos by native speakers teaching English, news broadcasts, or TEDx and Discovery videos.
Choose English movies that you enjoy watching without Vietnamese subtitles. This way, you can think in English, enhancing both your listening and speaking skills.

5. Record your voice
The best way to assess and improve your English pronunciation is to record your voice. When you speak, the sound you hear and the sound others hear are not the same. By recording and listening to your voice, you can easily identify parts where your intonation or pronunciation may sound unnatural or incorrect.

6. Develop the habit of pronouncing new vocabulary correctly from the start
If you mispronounce a word repeatedly, it becomes ingrained, making it difficult to correct your pronunciation later. While it's still possible to fix it, it will take a lot of time and effort. Therefore, it's best to practice pronouncing English words correctly from the very beginning. This will help you build a valuable habit that benefits you not only in learning English but in other areas as well.

7. Be consistent with regular practice
Arguably, this is the most important factor in determining whether you can pronounce English correctly. First, prepare yourself to practice extensively to master clear and accurate English pronunciation.
We all want quick results, but don't expect your English pronunciation to improve drastically after just two or three practice sessions. Some English courses claim you can speak perfectly after a few lessons or even hours. In reality, such a short period is only enough to make minor adjustments and guide you toward better pronunciation. To achieve natural and correct pronunciation, you'll need to continue practicing. Without consistent effort, it will be hard to reach your desired results.

8. Choose a topic
Find a video featuring clear English pronunciation on a topic you enjoy, lasting 3-5 minutes, ideally with a script. Also, ensure the level of speech matches your abilities for optimal learning. During the first listening, don't stress about understanding every single word. Relax, focus, and pay attention to the general topic the video addresses—whether it's economics, politics, or society. Try to guess the specific issue being discussed based on the words you catch. Don't worry, it's easy—just stay focused, relaxed, and try to identify the topic.

9. Take notes
In this step, prepare a pen, a blank sheet of paper, and be fully focused. Step 1 tells you the topic being discussed in the video. Think about the surrounding issues related to this topic and the commonly used words in this context to help you catch words more easily. During this listening, combine the act of listening with writing down as many words as you can, with as much detail as possible. This step helps you capture the main ideas presented in the video.

10. Finalize the Summary
This is the step where you re-listen to the video and continue to take notes on the words you missed in the previous step. Try to complete your notes as much as possible. You can listen again and take additional notes if you didn't catch enough the first time. At this point, your notes should be nearly complete, with only the parts you couldn't hear left to fill in.
