1. Upper Rank Three Akaza
Akaza holds the third position in the Twelve Kizuki, which highlights his incredible strength. His Blood Demon Art, called the Expansion Technique, allows him to create a variety of devastating attacks based on the martial arts skills he possessed as a human. Akaza's attacks have immense destructive power and a wide range of devastation.
In Demon Slayer, Akaza is among the fastest characters. This is demonstrated in the battle between Upper Rank Three and Flame Hashira Rengoku, where their speed was so overwhelming that even Tanjiro and Inosuke couldn't keep up. Even Inosuke, a swordsman with exceptional sensory abilities, could only stand by and watch. Akaza also poses significant challenges to the Hashira when they awaken their Demon Slayer Marks, such as Water Hashira Giyuu.
His regeneration ability is also extremely high, with any wound healing instantly, even those that would be fatal to others, like a deep shoulder wound or a hole in his head. Notably, Muzan, Akaza, and Upper Rank One Kokushibo are the only demons capable of regenerating their heads after being struck by the Sun-Breathing sword.

2. Upper Rank Four Hantengu
Upper Rank Demon Hantengu is one of the twelve demons in Kimetsu No Yaiba, ranked as Upper Rank Four among the six strongest demons under the command of Muzan Kibutsuji.
Hantengu's stealth abilities are extremely formidable. This allows him to easily infiltrate the Demon Slayer Corps' Swordsmith Village without being detected, even by skilled swordsmen and Hashira. The Swordsmith Village is one of the most crucial bases for the Demon Slayer Corps. After infiltrating the village, Hantengu sneaked into a room that even Muichiro, the Mist Hashira, a battle genius, or Tanjiro, a swordsman with an extraordinarily sensitive sense of smell, failed to detect his presence.
Upper Rank Hantengu possesses the ability to dramatically change his body size. He can shrink to a size smaller than a rat, enabling him to run swiftly and escape, or he can expand to nearly double the size of a normal human.
The Blood Demon Art that Upper Rank Hantengu possesses is Emotion Division. Hantengu can split his body based on different emotions. Whenever his head is severed, the split head and body become two separate entities. These copies include Sekido, Karaku, Aizetsu, Urogi, and Urami. Each of these copies has unique abilities and different Blood Demon Arts. They continue to split further if their heads are cut off, but they become weaker with each division.

3. Upper Rank Five Gyokko
Like all other high-ranking demons, Gyokko excels in endurance and has an incredibly fast regenerative ability. His unique power allows him to teleport between vases, making it difficult for his enemies to predict his movements. During the Swordsmith Village battle, Gyokko displayed his ability to summon fish-like demons to attack the Demon Slayers and others. In addition, Gyokko can call upon small fish-like creatures from his vases, and the poisonous spines of these creatures can gradually cause his foes to lose consciousness.
Gyokko seems to have an unusual obsession with fish, prompting him to alter his own body to resemble a fish. He often uses the pots he created to abduct humans. Once his victims are ensnared, Gyokko uses their bodies to craft horrific sculptures, viewing this as his own form of artistic expression. The horrifying part is that despite their bodies being mutilated, the victims remain alive, suffering agonizing pain, yet Gyokko takes amusement in their torment.
Gyokko's Blood Demon Arts include: Heavenly Fish Spear, Water Prison Eight, Hell Star, One Fish No Activity Bone Seal, Fish Killing Formation Lure.

4. Upper Rank Six Gyutaro
Upper Rank Six Gyutaro is part of a sibling duo, a unique trait among demons who typically fight alone. Gyutaro and Daki are "two halves of one", making their abilities quite intriguing. Gyutaro has the ability to separate his "core" and implant it into Daki as her third eye, which enhances her strength by sharing his power. The sibling bond allows them to share sensory input, making their coordination in battle highly efficient.
Gyutaro is immune to death from decapitation, as his existence is split into two forms. The only way to defeat them is to sever both their heads simultaneously, a difficult task due to Gyutaro's immense power. Many past Hashira have failed in this task, sacrificing their lives in the process.
In addition to his rapid regeneration, Gyutaro boasts remarkable speed and reflexes, giving him a significant advantage in combat. His speed allows him to close the distance to enemies quickly and strike with his dual sickles. However, speed isn't his most deadly weapon. Gyutaro is capable of creating lethal poison, coating his sickles with it to inject the toxin into his enemies. He can also use his Blood Demon Art to transmit poison through his blood or sickles.
Gyutaro's Blood Demon Art involves controlling his blood, turning it into a weapon for attacking foes. His abilities include Tobi Chigamo (blood sickles) for offense, Batsuko Choryo (blood dome) for defense, and Enzan Senkai - Tobi Chigamo (blood sickle whirlwind) as a devastating finishing move.

5. Nezuko Kamado
Despite lacking formal training, Nezuko possesses tremendous physical strength. Throughout the battles in Kimetsu no Yaiba, Nezuko rarely uses her Blood Demon Art. Instead, she relies on her raw strength, using her legs to kick off demons' heads. Her physical power is considered on par with the Upper Rank demons, especially during her battle with Upper Rank Six, where her enhanced strength and regenerative abilities left Daki both amazed and cautious.
Unlike ordinary demons, Nezuko replenishes her energy not by consuming blood or eating humans, but simply by sleeping. During combat, she doesn't require long breaks to recover; instead, she can quickly amplify her strength even in the midst of a battle. By the end of the story arc, Nezuko discovers her most unique ability – she is the only demon capable of walking in daylight without being reduced to ashes.
Nezuko's Blood Demon Art is Blazing Blood, a special power that causes her blood to ignite into flames. Nezuko can control these flames to burn her enemies at will or use them to heal temporary injuries.

6. Upper Rank Six Daki
Years after becoming a demon, Daki and her brother formed a notorious duo. Muzan Kibutsuji acknowledged their power and elevated both to Upper Rank Six. In the past, Daki had fought, killed, and devoured seven Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps.
As a member of the Upper Ranks, Daki possesses considerable strength. Her main weapon is Obi—flexible silk sashes that are sharp like swords but strong and durable like steel. While working as an Oiran, Daki secretly spread Obi everywhere to hunt people for food and secretly take control of the entire Entertainment District. In battle, Daki can retract her Obi and unleash its full power. She can also control her hair as a weapon in the same way she manipulates the Obi. Thanks to her bond with Gyutarou, Daki is a demon that cannot die from a decapitation (unless both Daki and Gyutarou’s heads are severed simultaneously). This unusual nature has caused many swordsmen, even Hashira, to lose their lives when facing her.
By linking with Gyutarou, Daki can enhance all her senses and strength. Furthermore, as an Upper Rank demon, Daki has remarkable regenerative abilities. Daki’s Blood Demon Art allows her to manipulate her Obi to fight—this versatile weapon can be used both for offense and defense. The Obi can even store objects or people inside, releasing them at Daki’s will. Daki's strongest attack is Yae Obigiri. She creates eight Obi blades and continuously strikes her enemies with them, combining offense and defense in one devastating move. This attack has no blind spots, making it nearly impossible to evade or counter.

7. New Upper Rank Four Nakime
Nakime is a formidable adversary that members of the Demon Slayer Corps must be especially cautious of, as she possesses immense strength. The new Upper Rank Four Nakime chose to reside in the Infinity Fortress, where she mastered secret demon arts to amplify her power and control the environment, leaving her enemies unable to react in time. Notably, when Muzan injected Nakime with his blood, her strength was significantly enhanced.
The Biwa (Pipa) is Nakime's instrument from her human life, and upon becoming a demon, it transformed into a unique weapon. Although Nakime's music cannot directly kill her enemies, it serves as a powerful distraction—a critical flaw in life-or-death combat. The distinct feature of Nakime's music is her ability to rearrange the Infinity Fortress at will and teleport it to any location of her choosing. This ability also enables Nakime to avoid sunlight, significantly reducing the power of the Demon Slayer Corps members.
Nakime can separate her eyes from her body to monitor the movements of the Demon Slayer Corps, giving her a considerable advantage when it comes to defense. This creates significant challenges for the Demon Slayers trying to infiltrate the Infinity Fortress. It can be said that Nakime may not be the strongest in terms of offensive demon arts, but her elusive nature makes her a difficult opponent to deal with. The Demon Slayer Corps ultimately couldn't defeat her, and Nakime met her end at the hands of Muzan, the very one who gave her new life and ended it.

8. New Upper Rank Six Kaigaku
The strength of Kaigaku comes primarily from his swordsmanship, and after becoming a demon, his power grew even more formidable through the combination with Blood Demon Arts. Trained by the former Thunder Hashira Jigorou, Kaigaku mastered five sword techniques in the Thunder Breathing style—an advanced skill that even the Upper Rank demons must take seriously.
After his transformation into a demon, Kaigaku was able to further enhance his Thunder Breathing attacks using Blood Demon Arts. Specifically, this combination allows his sword strikes to instantly set his enemies ablaze, significantly increasing the damage of each blow.
The battle between Zenitsu and Kaigaku captured the attention of many, with Zenitsu (Kaigaku’s former junior) ultimately defeating the Upper Rank Kaigaku with his Thunder God technique. In his final moments before death, Kaigaku still believed his strength surpassed Zenitsu's.

9. Demon Lord Muzan Kibutsuji
Muzan Kibutsuji, the most powerful demon in *Kimetsu no Yaiba*, is the first demon ever created and the leader of the Twelve Kizuki.
Extremely agile, Muzan possesses exceptional speed and reflexes, surpassing any other demon. Even when affected by anti-demon drugs during the Infinite Fortress arc, he managed to slaughter dozens of Demon Slayers. Muzan's speed is so overwhelming that Tanjiro and Mitsuri couldn’t even perceive his movements and had to rely on luck and instinct to dodge his attacks.
As the Demon King, Muzan's strength is beyond ordinary. With a single kick, he can kill a massive man. In his infant form, he can crush everything in his path, only being stopped by the extreme efforts of numerous Demon Slayers. Muzan's endurance seems limitless; he is always at peak physical and mental condition and can quickly recover from any attacks. Even when slashed by the Nichirin Sword of the Hashira, a blade that inflicted immense pain on Upper Rank One Kokushibo, Muzan shows no signs of pain or weakness.
After thousands of years as a demon, Muzan has adapted and become immune to beheading by the Sun-Repellent Sword, a weapon forged from materials that absorb sunlight. Moreover, Muzan’s ability to resist toxins far exceeds that of the Upper Rank demons, including his resistance to wisteria poison, which could kill ordinary demons in mere seconds.
Muzan possesses a vast array of abilities, including powerful regeneration, shape-shifting, immortality, enhanced physical strength, and supernatural abilities known as Blood Demon Arts. His Blood Demon Arts also allow him to curse those he shares his blood with. Any demon uttering the name “Kibutsuji” activates a curse that causes three demonic arms to grow on their bodies, destroying their essence. Muzan can also freely control the demons he grants power to, summoning them at will or sensing, observing, reading their thoughts, and even crushing their internal organs whenever he desires.

10. Upper Rank One Kokushibo
The strength of Kokushibo is considered to be the strongest among the Twelve Kizuki, second only to Muzan. He is regarded as the most experienced and challenging demon to face against demon slayers and Hashira.
Upper Rank One Kokushibo can easily analyze the attack stances and techniques of the Hashira, overwhelming three Hashira—Stone Hashira Gyoumei, Wind Hashira Sanemi, and Mist Hashira Muichiro—in a battle at the Infinity Castle. Even when Wind Hashira Sanemi and Stone Hashira Gyoumei successfully activate their Demon Slayer Marks, Upper Rank One Kokushibo can still fight both of these formidable Hashira at the same time.
Kokushibo is one of the strongest swordsmen in history, with unmatched swordsmanship skills. Before turning into a demon, Upper Rank One Kokushibo had already reached the peak of swordsmanship, performing devastating and decisive techniques. Not only is his strength remarkable, but his vision is extremely sharp, allowing him to analyze his opponent's techniques by observing their movements. Remarkably, Kokushibo can see enemies from great distances and even recognize Muichiro's descendants as his own family, despite centuries passing. He can also identify how Genya fights by consuming demon flesh simply by observing his body.
Kokushibo created the Mugen Sword - a Blood Demon Art of Kokushibo by extracting his own cells and shaping them into a sword adorned with many eyes. Since the sword is made from his own cells, it can regenerate easily when destroyed. Furthermore, Kokushibo can shape his sword and add extra blades to increase its destructive power and extend its fighting range. Not only that, but Kokushibo can also grow additional blades from his body, enabling him to deliver countless long-range slashes without needing to move his hands.

11. Upper Rank Two Douma
During the battle between Douma and the Insect Hashira Shinobu, a shocking revelation was made that Douma was the one who killed Kanae, Shinobu's older sister. Moreover, Douma was the one responsible for the death of Inosuke's mother and had the intention to kill both mother and child, but Inosuke fortunately escaped. Douma has a twisted preference for eating women, as he believes they are 'more nutritious.' The power of the second-ranking member of the Upper Ranks is formidable, as Shinobu had to sacrifice her life to defeat Douma. Kanao and Inosuke's victory was somewhat fortunate, as Douma had been severely injured and weakened by Shinobu's poison, causing a significant reduction in his recovery ability and strength. Even after activating his Demon Slayer Mark, they still struggled to defeat Upper Rank Two.
Douma's Blood Demon Art grants him the ability to create and control extremely powerful ice. He can produce ice and mist from his own blood anywhere in the surrounding area and manipulate it at will, allowing him to use ice-based techniques with great strength. Additionally, the ice formed by his Blood Demon Art is highly dangerous to anyone who inhales it, causing the victim's lung cells to die quickly, making it impossible to breathe. The ice and frost created by Douma are also noted for being extremely cold, as evidenced by the air around his ice being cold enough to make Shinobu's lungs feel like they were about to explode, nearly freezing Kanao's body and the surroundings just by contact.
