1. Poem: Hoa Lu Festival - Hoa Lư
HOA LU FESTIVAL
By Hoa Lư
Each spring, the village holds a grand festival,
Drums beat and flags fly, spreading cheer everywhere,
Smiles shine, joy fills the air,
Gathering together to celebrate in every corner.
A land of mountains and rivers so famed,
For over a thousand years, it has been known to bless mankind,
The temple on the mountain, a sacred place,
Where deities and sages are honored in a holy space.
We honor the Buddha and those who founded our land,
Praying for the future of our descendants to prosper,
Every year, in the second month,
We hold the ceremony to remember the heroes ĐINH and LÊ.
Dragons soar, phoenixes dance, and lions join the procession,
The fragrance of flowers rises from above,
Incense smoke drifts through the air,
Drums and flags mark the solemn procession of the sacred palanquins.
We pray for a prosperous new year,
To cross the river without worry,
In autumn, the harvest will be abundant,
May peace and warmth fill the year, every spring, we shall meet again.

2. Poem: To the Spring Poetry Festival - Hồng Ngoãn
TO THE SPRING POETRY FESTIVAL
By Hồng Ngoãn
The Temple of Literature joyfully hosts the poetry festival,
The fifteenth day of the first lunar month arrives, eagerly awaited,
Far from the quiet days of solitude,
Now, distant from those moments, I dream and long.
Happiness comes naturally, though it remains unspoken,
The joy arrives suddenly, surprising and unexpected,
Together, we share the deep bond of fellow poets,
And though our friends leave, we remain lost in thought.

3. Poem: The Xoan Singing Festival - Phan Huy Hùng
XOAN SINGING FESTIVAL
(Phú Thọ)
Poem by Phan Huy Hùng
I weave the silk with Xoan songs,
You beat the drum, swinging through the forest's song,
With the folk singers, we all join the cheer,
The air is full of joy, the spring draws near.
At the Xoan festival on the sacred mountain,
The sky so blue, the earth warm and fragrant,
As the night falls, love fills the air,
You tilt your hat, while I let down my red scarf!

4. Poem: The Mường Festival - Ha Nguyen
THE MƯỜNG FESTIVAL
By Ha Nguyen
Have you ever heard the stories told,
About the festival in my hometown?
I dream of once joining, to roast rice in bamboo tubes by the fire,
Admire the young girls,
As they dance joyfully in the Mường Bi Festival,
Enchanting with their beauty, both gentle and mystical.
I wish I could immerse myself in this epic atmosphere,
Where the land and waters give birth,
Step onto the steps of Mường Vang, Mường Động,
To feel myself alive in the mountain air,
Experiencing the lively festival mood.
I fear not getting lost, nor being enchanted by the Mường magic,
I fear only that you will vanish,
Like the story of the butterflies leading the bride away,
Út Lót did not want to cross the bridge,
To the river of betrayal,
At Liêu's tomb,
Singing to call her lover,
Her pain echoed through the heavens,
The gates opened,
Welcoming lovers into the realm of memories,
The bridal procession searching endlessly without breath...
Becoming butterflies fluttering, back and forth along the river.
This old tale,
Speaks of a heartbreaking love,
Of a sorrowful romance like that...
And every year, during the festival season,
The mothers and grandmothers,
Tell their children and grandchildren the tale.
The ancient story reverberates,
In the echoes of our subconscious,
Reminding us in our real lives,
To cherish our happiness.
I will take you to the dawn,
We will go to the festival,
Listening to the echoes of the past resonating in the mountain walls,
Sacred and divine.
Ha Nguyen.

5. Poem: Hội Lim - Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà
HOI LIM
Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà
Thirteen come to join Hội Lim
Listening to Quan Họ songs, warm village feelings
At Hội Lim, she wears the traditional Ao The
Her hat tilted, walking gracefully
The black ribbon tied neatly at her waist
Crossing the bridge, the wind blows, making him dream
The river flows gently at Sông Cầu
And the Quan Họ tunes...
When will I forget!

6. Poem: Hội Xuân - Nga Lê
HOI XUAN
Poem by: NGA LÊ.
She is a girl from the green fields.
Her hair adorned with the scent of rice flowers.
Her cheeks rosy with the glow of spring.
Her lips redder... her heart filled with joy.
The love for the homeland... her eyes filled with emotion.
She longs... waiting for the Spring Festival day.
Outside, the white grapefruit flowers bloom.
At the village entrance, the cotton flowers bloom in full swing.
The birds chirp melodiously.
People travel to the festival... the village is lively.
Handsome men... beautiful women from all directions.
Come together for the festival... sharing love and promises.
Smiling... eyes swaying.
They exchange songs while waiting for their union.
From Thái Bình, where rice grows, I am she.
The sweet Chèo songs... he forgets the way home.
Hesitant... half staying... half leaving.
Holding my hand, promising... to return for the next festival.
Though far away... across thousands of bridges.
I will never forget these words:
The long road.
The Chèo Tích Dương Lễ remains in my heart.
Châu Long... I love you so much.

7. Poem: I Go to the Spring Festival - Hương Mrs - Lê
I GO TO THE SPRING FESTIVAL
Poem by: Hương Mrs - Lê
In spring, I go to the festival
Seeking a sacred, divine place
The sound of the Chèo echoes through the Yến Stream
Welcoming travelers from all corners of the world.
The Hương Pagoda, the most famous in the South
The Buddha is hidden deep within the mountains
Endless roads stretch far and wide
A sky full of mountains and rivers to explore.
In spring, I join the joyful festival
The sound of laughter rings at the muddy dock
My eyes are clear, like a bright sky
Spreading seeds of happiness that will bloom.
The boat has just reached the shore
The air at Thiên Trù is filled with incense
A landscape so serene, like a fairyland
What more could I wish for?
Spring rain makes the stones slippery
I take your hand, guiding you with care
Together we enter the HƯƠNG SƠN cave
Before the Buddha, we offer fresh flowers.
Praying for our people to live in peace
For the nation to prosper and its people to thrive
Praying for our love to remain strong
May heaven bless us with a good fate.
In spring, I celebrate the festival with you!

8. The Kite Festival Promise
The Kite Festival Promise
Your smile shines bright
Your face radiates joy
Captivating the heart
You, from Dan Phuong
At the kite festival
Your red dress flies high
Your smile lights up
Drawing people near
Your eyes sparkle
Your cheeks rosy with warmth
Your voice, so tender
Like the wind beneath the kite
Your graceful figure
Like the fluttering kite
Soaring in the breeze
Filling hearts with cheer
The kite floats high
The string like threads of the sky
The whistling kite
Like a lullaby in the wind
Voices and laughter
Forgetting all the worries
The kite festival
We'll meet again next season.

9. The Hang Pagoda Festival
"Thượng Du - Duơm, the river flows gently below
If you haven't visited the Hang Pagoda Festival, you haven't truly come
No matter what you trade or sell
This spring festival calls for a visit to Hang Pagoda
Love each other with silver and gold
But nothing compares to attending the Hang Pagoda Festival once
The beauty of Hang Pagoda lasts all spring
Bringing prosperity, wealth, and health to the people, strengthening their wealth and fortune."

10. Poem: The Lantern Festival Night at Nhan Tower - Phan Thu Ha
THE LANTERN FESTIVAL NIGHT AT NHAN TOWER
Phan Thu Ha
Tonight, I return to Nhan Tower
Lost in the poetry of love's embrace
The spring is in the smile on your lips
The moonlight spills silver across the vast sky
Your cheeks rosy, lips soft and sweet
Your poetry stirs my heart, like waves
Calling spring to bloom, to give life
The spring flowers glow, as sweet as your kiss
The breeze carries love songs
The moonlit tower drifts into dreams
Tonight, I will always remember
The moon's light reflecting on both banks of Ba River
I remember Tuy Hoa, the young city
Far away now, but the memory lingers in my heart.

11. Poem: The Bai Dinh Pagoda Festival - Nguyễn Ruyến
THE BAI DINH PAGODA FESTIVAL
Nguyễn Ruyến
Bai Dinh, the sacred pagoda, hosts this festival
Filling the air with the fragrance of spring's flight
The banners wave in the ceremony for the legendary gods
A fairytale that feels like reality each day
At the mountain's peak, the Holy Mother is worshipped
Protecting the people and fulfilling their wishes
May the country prosper, and peace reign
The blessings are true and will soon arrive
If one’s heart is pure, they shall receive
Happiness in abundance, close at hand
With kindness, one passes on their love to the next generation
The banner of Buddha shines brightly as it flies
No place compares to this beauty
The Đính Mountain glows beneath the clouds
The Stupa sparkles, shrouded in mist
Dreams and wishes linger here, year after year...
Descendants of the Dragon and Fairy, with rich heritage
King Dinh Bo Linh built this empire
Bai Dinh, a land of heroes and sages
The spirit of the ancient capital gathers here
History remembers since ancient times
For a thousand years and beyond
Celebrate the Spring with vibrant red blooms
Trang An and Bai Dinh remain forever enchanted.

12. Poem: The Festival of That Year - Trần Duy Hạnh
THE FESTIVAL OF THAT YEAR
Trần Duy Hạnh
(Lim Festival – Bắc Ninh)
In the cold of January, as luck is found and blessings await
On the road to the festival, who will accompany me on this journey?
The Quan Họ songs weave a love story
Handsome men, beautiful women, lost in the boat's rhythm.
Childhood sweethearts, full of grace
At the Lim Festival, they exchange words of love
From distant lands, they return to visit
With the blessings of both families, they promise to meet again.
Husband and wife, bound by lasting affection
Wishing a lifetime together, growing old in harmony
Remembering January, silently making promises
One day, we will return to this place.
Destiny finds its way through a journey of luck
At that year’s festival, a bond was formed.
