The first game in the Starcraft series was released for Microsoft Windows on March 31, 1998. By February 2009, it had sold over 11 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling PC games of all time. A Mac OS version was released in March 1999, and a Nintendo 64 version, developed in collaboration with Mass Media Interactive Entertainment, came out on June 13, 2000.

8. Virtua Cop
Virtua Cop is a light gun shooter game developed by Sega and released in 1995. It was later ported to the Sega Saturn in 1996, to PC in 1997, and to the Sega Dreamcast in 2000. In 2002, it was included in the Virtua Cop: Elite Edition for PlayStation 2.
In the game, you play as a special task force officer on a mission to take down criminals. There are three levels, each with increasing difficulty. Players control the game by moving the mouse to aim and clicking to shoot. The right mouse button reloads for player 1, while player 2 (if available) uses the arrow keys to move and the number 0 key to shoot. Hostages may appear and obstruct your shots with cries of "Somebody Help me!!". There are also two different paths in each stage, each offering unique challenges and difficulty levels.
Before playing, you can set the number of lives and health bars. By default, players start with 5 lives, each with 4 health bars. Getting shot by terrorists or hitting hostages will deplete your health. If you run out of health and lives, the game ends.

9. Diablo II
Released in 2000, Diablo II laid a foundational stone for modern role-playing game design. To this day, Diablo II continues to be played by millions worldwide, largely thanks to a host of mods that completely transform the game. It is widely regarded as one of the best action RPGs of all time. Many gamers fondly recall the days spent grinding away in internet cafes to play Diablo II. 10. Beach Head 2002
Beach Head 2002 picks up where its predecessor, Beach Head 2000, left off. After a period of holding the fort, enemy forces have now reached the island, and it’s your job to stop them from advancing. No longer fighting on the beach, you’ll have to take down enemy aircraft, tanks, and soldiers as they invade your territory.
With improved depth in both story and weapons compared to Beach Head 2000, Beach Head 2002 gives players more firepower options to choose from. The battles now take place not only during the day but also at night, adding a new layer of strategy as you can select when to engage the enemy.
The game still features realistic 3D graphics, with more lifelike character animations. As you progress, the battles intensify with greater enemy forces. You'll need to stop paratroopers from landing, as they will open fire on you as soon as they touch down.
Your primary support comes from an aircraft that drops ammo and weapons to ensure you’re always armed and ready for combat. Quick and precise shooting is crucial to eliminate more enemies and keep your position secure.

11. Age of Empires
When it comes to enduring classic games that continue to captivate players over time, Age of Empires or AOE 1 is undeniably one of the top titles. This real-time strategy game allows you to demonstrate your leadership skills by managing troops and arranging your forces to build a powerful empire. Despite being an older game, Age of Empires still holds its charm and remains a fan favorite. Whether you're playing solo or in teams, it offers plenty of opportunities to flex your tactical abilities. Even though the game has undergone numerous updates, the original Age of Empires still enjoys a special place in the hearts of gamers.
In Age of Empires, players advance through four distinct eras: the Stone Age, Tool Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age. Along the way, you'll find a variety of weapons, including bows, swords, and spears, each offering specific advantages based on the civilization you're playing.
Though it was first released in 1998, Age of Empires (or Empire Game) remains alive and well, constantly being revived by both the Vietnamese gaming community and the global player base. The game is filled with fascinating elements like constructing buildings, building armies, and fighting battles, with memorable activities such as hunting elephants, herding deer, constructing buildings, and organizing armies. Once you fall in love with this game, it’s hard to forget.
For fans of strategy games in general and Age of Empires specifically, the joy of playing isn’t as much about choosing between it and other titles but about finding someone to play with. Whether you choose to play alone, with a friend, or with up to 8 players, the fun never ends!

12. Mega Man X4
Megaman X4 (MX4) offers two distinct journeys for its heroes: X and Zero. The character you choose will significantly influence how many times you game over. X uses the X-buster for ranged attacks, while Zero uses the Z-Saber for close-quarters combat. If you’re new to Megaman, start with X, but if you’re up for a challenge, try Zero—difficulty is always matched by the excitement!
Beyond their unique weapons, X and Zero share some similarities. The transition from Megaman Classic to Megaman X marked a shift toward faster-paced, action-heavy gameplay. X and Zero come equipped with cool abilities like speed dashes, wall climbing, and using walls as jumping platforms. No matter which character you choose, you’ll quickly become immersed in the action-packed gameplay, a feature that sets X4 apart from its successors, X5 and X6.
Each stage in X4 shines like an independent star, offering both secrets and challenges. Hidden items like Heart-ups (which increase maximum HP), E-tanks (HP reserves), W-tanks (energy reserves), and armor upgrades (for X) are scattered throughout the levels. On the other hand, the challenge lies in the deadly traps and the seemingly endless waves of enemies. At the end of each stage, you'll face a tough boss, and after defeating it, your character absorbs their weapons (X) or special moves (Zero) to defeat the next one. If you're attentive, you'll find that each boss has a weakness that can be exploited using the weapons or moves you just acquired.
