They begin blooming from December to late May, requiring daytime temperatures between 18-29°C and nighttime temperatures between 13-18°C. Because of their wild nature, Phalaenopsis orchids are also easy to grow and maintain, making them a popular choice for many orchid lovers.

Dendrobium Orchid, scientifically known as Dendrobium Antennatum, originates from Thailand but is widely cultivated in Vietnam. With over 1600 species, Dendrobium orchids are mostly found in tropical regions, including Southeast Asia and Australia, as well as countries like India and China. Dendrobium orchids are loved by many for their wide range of colors and ease of care compared to other species.
This orchid thrives in warm temperatures, with an ideal range of 27-32°C during the day and 16-18°C at night. It is commonly grown in pots filled with coconut husks or wooden supports. Dendrobium orchids are often seen hanging in cafes and corridors as part of decorative arrangements, adding beauty to the space.


4. Lady's Slipper Orchid
Lady's Slipper Orchid, scientifically known as Paphiopedilum, is a beautiful orchid species valued for its unique color combination. The greenish hue of the sepals, the purple blending with violet of the petals, and the deep brownish-purple lip gradually fading towards the back, with curled edges and a dense strip of white hairs in the middle, make this orchid stand out.
In Vietnam, there are around 10 different types of Lady's Slipper Orchids, with the Pink Lady's Slipper Orchid being the most popular worldwide. This species thrives in humid environments and requires frequent watering, though it cannot tolerate waterlogging. The ideal temperature range is from 21-29°C during the day and 10-16°C at night.
Lady's Slipper Orchids take a long time to bloom, but once they do, their flowers last for an extended period. They are one of the easier orchids to cultivate as long as the right conditions are met, including proper airflow, adequate water, and fertilizer, which helps minimize pest problems.


5. Jewel Orchid
Jewel Orchid, also known as the Dendrobium, Spring Orchid, Dragon Tail Orchid, is a species of orchid. First described in 1896 by Lindley, it is native to Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Hainan, Borneo, Bangladesh, and the Philippines. It is also the symbol of Assam. The Jewel Orchid is particularly famous for its fragrant blossoms and is widely found in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. It is often in bloom during the Lunar New Year festival.

Some varieties of Cattleya Labiata produce wonderfully fragrant flowers, although they tend to fade more quickly than other species. For this variety, providing adequate water is essential, but care should be taken not to water too frequently, as its roots are good at storing moisture, and excessive watering may cause root rot. With its graceful beauty and intense fragrance, the Cattleya Labiata is a favorite among orchid enthusiasts. However, beginners are advised to research proper care techniques to avoid confusion and ensure success in cultivation.


7. Vanda Orchid
Vanda is a relatively uniform species in terms of flower shape, plant form, and ecological conditions. Most species in the Vanda genus are heat-loving orchids. The Vanda flowers are highly admired for their thick, round petals and vibrant, striking colors. One characteristic easily noticeable in hybrid Vanda orchids is that the sepals are always larger than or equal to the petals, with the pair of sepals at the base being a distinguishing feature that helps new orchid growers distinguish Vanda from any other orchid species. The petals of these orchids are thin yet very durable, an uncommon trait as flower durability typically correlates with petal thickness.
Moreover, Vanda orchids thrive in water, so during the summer, it's essential to water them sufficiently for proper growth. You may also add dry grass and coconut husk to maintain moisture. The Vanda orchid is relatively easy to care for, provided one takes the time to learn the necessary techniques. Vanda Orchids come in a variety of dazzling colors that create a charming and elegant appearance, making them irresistible to enthusiasts of ornamental plants.


8. Dendrobium orchid
The Dendrobium orchid is known for producing hundreds of diverse flowers in colors such as white, pink, red, and purple… It will fulfill the dream of orchid enthusiasts who adore beauty. This orchid species is easy to grow due to its strong root system. The characteristic of the Dendrobium orchid is that it stretches outward to capture light and nutrients for survival.
Calcined Dendrobium is a variety of orchid that thrives in sunny conditions, with about 70% exposure (under a black net). It is commonly grafted onto wooden planks or logs, but growing in pots with pine bark and coconut husk is also effective. It’s best to graft in winter in the North when the plant is dormant, and the leaves have fallen, as the buds inside are swelling. This process should be done between late November and April.
Placing the plant in sunlight under a mesh cover will ensure healthy seedlings. Grafting with fresh, purchased plants in winter will result in blooming by the lunar New Year, with no additional intervention needed.

A single bloom can fill the garden with its fragrance. The flowers bloom in spring, and their lifespan is typically 7-10 days. The Purple Dendrobium Orchid thrives in bright sunlight, so it's essential to ensure the plant receives enough light.
