1. Amaranth Leaves
Amaranth Leaves are a common plant in Vietnam, known for their sweet taste and cooling properties. They are effective at detoxifying the body, improving liver function, and supporting kidney health, which helps prevent hair loss caused by internal toxins. This natural remedy also promotes relaxation, reducing stress that can lead to hair thinning.
Modern medical studies have shown that Amaranth leaves, particularly red amaranth, are rich in essential vitamins like B1, B6, B12, C, and PP, as well as minerals such as fluoride and magnesium. The high level of Vitamin A in amaranth helps nourish the scalp and hair follicles.
Amaranth leaves are packed with nutrients that play a key role in preventing hair loss. They also help in stabilizing mood and reducing stress by increasing serotonin levels, which is crucial in managing hair thinning. This can significantly improve hair growth, making hair stronger, shinier, and healthier. The natural remedy of using Amaranth leaves for hair loss has shown great effectiveness.
How to use:
- Step 1: Prepare 100-200 grams of red amaranth leaves
- Step 2: Wash the leaves and grind or blend them to extract the juice
- Step 3: Soak cotton balls in the juice and gently massage the scalp. Rinse with clean water after 30 minutes.

2. Onion Juice
Onion juice not only offers health benefits but also helps reduce hair loss and baldness. The nutrients in onions restore hair’s natural color and revive weak, dry, and damaged strands. Using onion juice for hair restoration is an affordable and effective home remedy.
Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, onion juice encourages hair growth. The sulfur compounds boost blood circulation, nourish hair follicles, and support the regeneration of new hair. By using onion juice to treat hair loss and baldness, you can achieve noticeable results without spending much.
To prepare onion juice, peel the onions, wash them thoroughly, and cut them into small pieces. Add a little water and blend them into a smooth mixture. Finally, strain the juice through cloth, discarding the pulp, and use the juice to treat your hair issues.

3. Soapberry
Soapberry is known for its remarkable beauty benefits, especially its ability to treat hair loss, a condition that many believe to be incurable. Many home remedies for hair loss using soapberries have been developed over time.
Method:
- Use 500 grams of dried soapberries and roast them over an open flame until crispy. Then, crush them using a heavy object.
- Next, place the crushed berries into a small bowl and pour boiling water over them. Cover the bowl and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Remove the berries and strain the water.
- To wash your hair, wet your hair first, then apply the soapberry water evenly, massaging for about 5 minutes. Rinse with clean water afterward.

4. Fresh Sesame Seeds and Rice Water
According to traditional medicine, fresh sesame seeds, particularly black sesame, promote blood circulation, which in turn stimulates faster and stronger hair growth. As a result, black sesame is an effective remedy for preventing hair loss.
Additionally, foods with dark colors are known to be beneficial for health, including for maintaining healthy hair. That’s why black sesame is often used in natural remedies for hair loss.
Rice water, on the other hand, is rich in B-vitamins that enhance cell metabolism and help prevent hair loss.
Ingredients: 40-100 grams of black sesame and 2.5-3 liters of rice water. The process of using black sesame and rice water to prevent hair loss is very simple and requires no additional ingredients.
Method: Boil the sesame seeds in rice water. This is a highly effective way to reduce hair loss.
How to Use: Allow the water to cool slightly until it is warm, then use it to wash your hair, gently massaging your scalp. Afterward, wrap your hair in a towel until it feels dry, then rinse with cool water. This natural hair loss prevention shampoo is very safe for your hair and can be used regularly, 2-3 times a week, for the best results.

5. Anti-Hair Loss Shampoo
Hair loss, thinning hair, and baldness are common concerns that affect both men and women. These issues impact health, aesthetics, and self-confidence in everyday life. How can you promote faster hair growth? To solve this, it's important to nourish your hair internally and use hair growth shampoo.
Many commercial shampoos today contain harmful chemicals, which pose serious health risks, including potential cancer. While these shampoos may temporarily smooth your hair, they can lead to unforeseen long-term consequences. The chemicals strip away the natural oils that protect your hair, causing damage to both your hair and scalp.
In contrast, organic shampoos contain 100% natural herbs, free from preservatives, artificial fragrances, or foaming agents. They are safe for users, gentle on the scalp, and do not damage hair follicles. You can use these natural shampoos regularly without restrictions, and with consistent use, you'll notice stronger, smoother hair.

6. Hair Loss Medications
If hair loss is caused by underlying medical conditions, treatment may involve anti-inflammatory drugs and immune system suppressors, such as prednisone. Recommended medications include:
Minoxidil: Minoxidil is a liquid or foam applied to the scalp twice daily to prevent hair loss and encourage hair growth. However, it may cause scalp irritation and unwanted facial hair growth. Minoxidil typically starts showing effects after around 12 weeks, though it can take up to a year for full effectiveness. Minoxidil is FDA-approved for both men and women with baldness but is not specifically licensed for treating patchy hair loss. It is not recommended for individuals under 18.
Finasteride (Propecia): Finasteride is an oral medication designed for men with male-pattern baldness. Rare side effects include reduced libido and sexual function. It is not suitable for women of childbearing age.

7. Biotechnology
Biotechnology for Hair Loss Treatment is one of the most advanced methods available today. This technology utilizes a Mesotherapy device that generates electric impulses, stimulating physical reactions within the pores. It can rapidly open 650 – 800 microscopic pores in just 2 seconds, creating an electromagnetic flow that delivers essential nutrients directly into each hair follicle, facilitating hair growth.
Once these products are implanted into the scalp, they replenish and restore the components needed for follicle development, while also stimulating and signaling aging hair cells to become healthier, promoting faster and thicker hair growth.

8. Treating Hair Loss with Pomelo Peel
If the pomelo pulp provides essential vitamins B, C, and trace elements to nourish the skin and support weight loss, the pomelo peel is a natural remedy for preventing hair loss and restoring thick, beautiful hair. Pomelo peel and pomelo flowers have long been used in folk remedies for hair care and hair treatments.
Research shows that pomelo essential oil, which makes up 0.15% of the peel, has a light yellow color and a subtle fragrance. It contains two main components: limonene (41.45% – 84.62%) and myrcene (8.28% – 50.66%) that nourish hair, promote shine, reduce breakage, and encourage faster hair growth.
How to use:
- Wash the peel of one fresh pomelo (or dried pomelo peel). Boil it in 3 – 5 liters of water.
- Once the water is boiling, lower the heat and let it simmer for another 5 minutes to extract the essential oils. Be careful not to boil it for too long to avoid the essential oils evaporating.
- Mix the pomelo peel water with clean water to make it lukewarm, then use it to wash your hair. Similar to brewing soap nut water, if you prefer using shampoo, boil the pomelo peel in 1 liter of water to make a concentrated solution.
- Massage your scalp for 5 – 10 minutes while washing your hair to help the essential oils absorb better.
- Let your hair dry naturally.
- Repeat 2 – 3 times a week. Be consistent for about 2 months and notice the improvements.
- You can also combine pomelo peel with soap nuts or lemongrass leaves for enhanced hair loss treatment. However, since essential oils evaporate quickly, add the soap nuts (or lemongrass) first, and once the water is hot, add the pomelo peel. Boil for no more than 5 minutes after it reaches a boil.

9. Using Betel Grass to Treat Hair Loss
The active ingredient Beta-sitosterol in Betel grass can help reduce blood cholesterol levels, which in turn lowers DHT hormone levels. DHT is believed to be a major cause of hair follicle shrinkage and hair loss. In addition to Beta-sitosterol, Flavonoids in Betel grass help fight aging, stabilize the body, and refresh the mind. This provides essential nutrients for the hair follicles, making hair shinier, healthier, and smoother.
Preparation: 150g of fresh Betel grass, using only the leaves and stems, discarding the flowers and roots. Clean the Betel grass thoroughly.
Method: Massage the scalp
- Boil the Betel grass in 500ml of water. Once it boils, reduce the heat and continue simmering for 15 minutes until the water turns green.
- Remove the Betel grass, strain the liquid, and boil it again to concentrate.
- Once the liquid is reduced to about one small cup, turn off the heat.
- After washing and drying the hair, use some of the Betel grass liquid to wet the scalp (roots of the hair) and massage.
- Once the scalp dries, pour the remaining liquid for a second round of massaging. Repeat until the liquid is finished.
- Do this once or twice a week. With consistent use for about two months, you will see improvement in hair loss and premature graying.

10. Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is an essential oil extracted from the flesh of mature coconuts. It is often referred to as a miracle product for skin and hair care. Research shows that coconut oil contains saturated fatty acids, proteins, Lauric acid, Capric acid, vitamins A, D, E, K, and minerals like beta-carotene, calcium, and magnesium. These nutrients provide numerous benefits for hair, such as:
- Reducing hair breakage and shedding
- Antibacterial properties that promote faster, thicker, and healthier hair growth
- Moisturizing the scalp and hair, preventing scalp irritation and making hair less dry, frizzy, and split-ended
- Protecting hair from the harmful effects of UV rays, pollution, bacteria, fungi, and chemicals in styling products
- It’s no wonder that coconut oil is included in many natural hair loss treatments.
Preparation: 10 – 15 ml of pure coconut oil.
How to use:
- Apply the coconut oil to your entire scalp and hair, starting from the roots to the tips.
- Massage gently with your fingertips to ensure the oil is evenly distributed and penetrates deeply into the hair follicles.
- Wrap a towel around your head and let it sit for about 30 minutes, then wash it out with shampoo.
- Repeat this process twice a week to promote stronger hair follicles and reduce hair loss.

11. Green Tea
There are currently many highly effective methods for treating hair loss that are also safe. These remedies are well-known to those suffering from hair thinning and shedding. One popular method is using green tea to treat hair loss. Not only does it help prevent hair breakage, but it also makes your hair shinier and thicker.
Green tea is commonly consumed as a drink, so if you enjoy its flavor, consider drinking green tea daily. However, it’s best to dilute it, and you can replace regular water with it. This approach not only benefits your health but also nourishes your skin and hair from the inside.
Additionally, to treat hair loss with green tea, you can combine it with other methods for faster results, protecting your hair from both inside and outside.
Olive oil, rich in vitamins and minerals, is great for your skin and hair. Adding it to your hair loss treatment formula will certainly yield fantastic results.
Ingredients: Fresh green tea leaves, olive oil (can be substituted with coconut oil, almond oil, or lemongrass oil).
Instructions:
- After cleaning the tea leaves, boil them for about 10 minutes to extract the nutrients.
- Strain the tea and wait until it cools to a warm temperature.
- Add 3 tablespoons of olive oil to the tea and stir well.
- Use this mixture to wash your hair, gently massaging your scalp for about 20 minutes to allow the green tea to work.
- Rinse your hair again with clean water.

12. Aloe Vera
Along with coconut oil, aloe vera is another beauty powerhouse beloved by many for its amazing properties. In addition to rejuvenating the skin with its vitamins A, C, B, and E, amino acids, salicylic acid, and lignin, aloe vera also nourishes the hair, provides moisture, repairs damage, prevents hair loss, and accelerates hair growth. This is due to its natural enzymes, including oxidase, lipase, amylase, antioxidants, and beneficial minerals such as cellulose, glucose, rhamnose, and aldopentose.
Ingredients:
- Take 250g of fresh aloe vera leaves, peel off the skin, and wash away the yellow sap beneath the skin. The sap is the main cause of scalp irritation for many when using aloe vera.
- Cut the aloe vera flesh into small pieces and blend or crush it into a smooth paste.
How to use:
- Apply the prepared aloe vera mixture evenly to your scalp and roots in a spiral motion, then massage gently for about 15 minutes.
- Wrap your hair with a damp towel and leave it for 30 minutes.
- Rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water. Repeat 2-3 times a week, and track your progress after 2 months of use.
