1. Speech Honoring the Heroes and Martyrs No. 3
Esteemed Vietnamese Heroic Mothers!
Honored spirits of revolutionary forebears and fallen heroes!
Respected leaders and distinguished guests!
Dear youth members and fellow comrades!
July is the month of remembrance, an opportunity for younger generations, both today and in the future, to reflect on the enormous contributions and sacrifices made by our ancestors in the fight for national independence and unification. Today, at the cemetery, filled with emotion and pride, the youth... along with other volunteer units, are gathered to light candles in tribute, offering incense in honor of our revolutionary ancestors and fallen heroes who selflessly gave their youth, blood, and lives so that we may live in peace and freedom today. On behalf of the youth and all participating organizations, we extend our deepest gratitude and heartfelt sympathy to the Heroic Mothers, the wounded soldiers, the martyrs' families, and all who have sacrificed for our revolution.
Honored guests, comrades!
After 40 years, the horrors of war have passed, and our country is now completely unified, enjoying peace, independence, prosperity, and happiness. However, this victory came at a great cost: millions of young lives lost in battle, many more carrying lifelong injuries, and countless others enduring the pain of separation and loss. The blood and sacrifices of these heroes have added to the strength of our nation; their heroic deeds have been immortalized in the history of our people, leaving us with eternal pride.
Comrades!
With deep respect and gratitude, the younger generation of Vietnam has actively engaged in various meaningful initiatives, showing their pride and commitment to the national virtues of gratitude and respect. We have participated in many practical activities commemorating our fallen heroes, and continue to do so. In July 2020, the youth across the nation were busy organizing activities to honor the 73rd anniversary of Martyrs' and Invalids' Day. These included initiatives like building and repairing homes for the less fortunate, restoring memorials and war cemeteries, offering free health checks and medicines, and providing gifts to families of martyrs, war veterans, and revolutionary contributors. These efforts reflect the youth's deep gratitude while teaching the next generation the importance of cherishing the values of our past, and guiding them towards a brighter future.
Respected guests!
Though years will pass, the contributions of our fallen heroes will forever remain engraved in the golden pages of our nation's history. The candles and incense we offer today are a vow from the youth and our units to honor and carry on the legacy of our ancestors, tirelessly working to build a prosperous and just nation, just as they did in their time of struggle for independence.
The youth and all participating units wish to express our deep gratitude for the sacrifices of our predecessors and fallen heroes. We bow our heads in remembrance of their bravery. We wish for the souls of our fallen heroes to rest in peace for eternity. We also wish the best of health to all our honored guests, comrades, and friends!
Thank you very much!

2. Speech Honoring the Heroes and Martyrs No. 4
Dear: ..........................................................................................................................
Honored leaders and distinguished guests,
Dear veterans,
Dear youth members and fellow comrades,
It is a great honor for me to represent the youth of this town and speak at this solemn and meaningful ceremony. First, I would like to extend my best wishes for good health to the leaders and guests, and express the deep gratitude of the local youth to the families of fallen soldiers, war veterans, and martyrs who gave their blood and lives to enrich the history of our homeland.
Dear comrades!
Gratitude and remembrance are the natural sentiments and actions of every young person. Today’s youth, fortunate to have been born and raised in peace and independence, have the opportunity to study, grow, contribute, and mature. The youth of this region are always proud and deeply thankful to the fallen heroes, the wounded soldiers, and the veterans who sacrificed so much for the nation, ensuring the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
Each year, on holidays and special occasions, the younger generation carries out many activities to show their gratitude to the families of fallen soldiers, the wounded veterans, and the martyrs. The 27th of July is a special occasion for the youth to express their deepest respect and gratitude, demonstrating their appreciation with meaningful actions. Today’s ceremony is another opportunity for us to offer heartfelt thanks to those who sacrificed their happiness for the future of our country. These actions are both a tribute to the sacrifices of previous generations and a celebration of the historic and revolutionary values of our nation, which also serves to educate the youth about patriotism, national pride, and their responsibility in the ongoing struggle for our nation’s development and protection.
Dear guests, comrades!
Teaching the youth to understand the importance of patriotism, the revolutionary spirit, and the unyielding will of our ancestors, those who directly fought for the nation, is essential to ensuring these values are passed down and preserved. These values help the younger generation appreciate the historical significance of our nation’s sacrifices and instill a sense of duty to continue the fight for independence and prosperity.
Today’s youth believe that the blood of the fallen heroes has forever enriched the flag of our glorious homeland. The heroism of these fallen soldiers remains etched in the hearts of all youth members, reminding us of the importance of living honorably, contributing to society, and turning determination into action, just as past generations did. With the utmost respect and gratitude, we pledge to harness the strength of youth unity and intelligence, overcoming challenges to build a new generation that embodies high ideals, culture, and continuous self-improvement. We promise to work tirelessly to help create a prosperous and civilized nation, worthy of the immense sacrifices made by our predecessors. To the families of martyrs and veterans, to all who have given their lives for our country and homeland, and those who continue to contribute, we wish you all a meaningful 27th of July. The spirit of Martyrs' Day on the 27th of July is eternal.
Finally, we wish all distinguished leaders, veterans, martyrs' families, and youth members good health and happiness.
Respectfully yours.

3. Speech Honoring the Heroes and Martyrs No. 5
Dear Vietnamese Heroic Mothers!
Dear wounded and sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and families who contributed to the revolution!
Honored guests!
On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the Martyrs and Wounded Soldiers' Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2020), a day when the entire Party, army, and people of Vietnam honor and remember those who sacrificed for the nation, on behalf of the District Party Committee, I would like to extend my heartfelt greetings and deepest gratitude to the heroic Vietnamese mothers, war heroes, wounded soldiers, martyrs' families, and those who contributed to the revolution in our district. I wish all delegates and attendees of this solemn ceremony good health and happiness.
Honored guests!
The long and arduous resistance war of our people against foreign invaders brought independence to our nation, freedom to our people, and happiness to our land. However, this independence and freedom came with tremendous sacrifice and loss. Many of our beloved soldiers, officers, and civilians fell, leaving their lives on the battlefield. Some were only nineteen or twenty, others returned injured, and many suffered from the long-lasting effects of toxic chemicals. This illustrates the brutality of war and the immense suffering endured by our people. Yet, it is these sacrifices that have paved the way for our nation's happiness, making our flag even more vibrant. The blood of martyrs and heroes has stained the red banner of revolution.
As the generation living today, we will forever remember the sacrifices of our heroes, martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, and families who contributed to the nation. They are the ones who gave their blood, sweat, and lives for the betterment of our present. Seventy years ago, President Ho Chi Minh instructed the entire nation: “July 27 is a day for our people to show their gratitude and affection for the wounded soldiers” – initially called “National Wounded Soldiers Day.” He also said, “They are the ones who sacrificed their families and their blood to protect the nation and its people… Therefore, the nation and the people must show gratitude and assist these brave sons and daughters.”
Since 1955, our Party and State have renamed “National Wounded Soldiers Day” to “Martyrs and Wounded Soldiers Day” to reflect the deep gratitude and respect of our people for all those who sacrificed their blood for the nation. In line with the policy of “Repaying Gratitude,” reflecting the national virtues of “Drinking from the well, remembering the person who dug it” and “Eating the fruit, remembering the one who planted the tree,” the Party and government, along with various organizations and businesses in our district, have always paid close attention to the material and spiritual welfare of families of martyrs and revolutionaries, providing care in many meaningful and practical ways, such as supporting elderly mothers, assisting with the construction and repair of homes for war heroes, donating gifts, creating jobs for these families, and participating in activities that honor the nation’s debt of gratitude.
Dear delegates and guests!
We are all deeply inspired by the noble examples of those who have sacrificed part of their bodies on the battlefield. Today, these individuals are following President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings, “Wounded soldiers may be disabled, but they are not helpless,” and have shown resilience on the economic front to improve their lives, build happy families, and contribute to the development of the homeland. As of now, over 95% of families of those who contributed to the revolution live at or above the average standard of living in our district. In communities across the district, families of martyrs and revolutionaries have set examples of building equal, prosperous, and happy homes, contributing to the rural development movement. With appropriate policies and approaches, the district has created favorable conditions to encourage families and individuals to improve their quality of life and build strong, happy homes.
On behalf of the district leadership, I would like to commend the exemplary families of martyrs and revolutionaries, and express my appreciation for the contributions made by all levels of government in implementing the “Repaying Gratitude” policy.
Honored guests! While we have made significant progress, we cannot feel at ease knowing that there are still families of martyrs and revolutionaries who face difficulties, with unstable incomes and deteriorating living conditions. Many are in poor health, suffering from frequent illnesses, and some families live in substandard housing. There are still unaccounted-for martyrs whose remains have not been found, leaving a lingering sadness in the hearts of their loved ones and the entire community. These families deserve our care and support, both materially and emotionally. Every year, on July 27, the entire nation comes together to commemorate Martyrs and Wounded Soldiers Day as an important event with profound political and humanitarian significance. In this solemn and emotional moment, we pay our respects and express our gratitude to the revolutionary heroes, martyrs, and the valiant sons and daughters of our land who bravely sacrificed during our national defense wars “for the independence of our nation and the freedom of our people.”
Honored guests!
In life, there are many duties we must fulfill, but honoring the martyrs, providing care for the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and assisting the families of the fallen soldiers is a deeply meaningful act. It not only shows gratitude for their sacrifice but also plays an important role in educating the younger generation today and for future generations.
Anyone who enjoys the freedom and independence today owes a debt of gratitude to our martyrs and heroes. Therefore, it is our responsibility to actively contribute to the “Repaying Gratitude” policy, through concrete and practical actions, from the heart. I sincerely call on all levels of government, Party members, public servants, businesses, and the people of our district to contribute more to the implementation of this policy, ensuring that all families of revolutionaries can enjoy a living standard at or above the district’s average.
I also call upon and hope that the wounded soldiers, families of martyrs, and those who contributed to our nation continue to uphold the revolutionary tradition, share in the challenges of our country and locality, and overcome their personal difficulties to contribute to building and stabilizing their families and improving their lives. I hope that all children of martyrs and wounded soldiers will strive to overcome their hardships, honor their family traditions, and work hard in study, work, and production to become valuable members of society and further enhance their family’s legacy.
I urge all levels of government and leadership in communes, towns, and agencies to pay special attention to the children of martyrs and wounded soldiers, providing more opportunities for them in their work and studies, as they have already faced so many sacrifices in life.
I am confident that in the coming years, the movement to support the families of martyrs and revolutionaries will continue to achieve greater results, creating better conditions for these families to live stable, prosperous, and happy lives. I sincerely wish the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, War Heroes, families with contributions to the revolution, delegates, and honored guests good health, happiness, and success!

4. Tribute Speech for the Heroes and Martyrs No. 6

5. Speech to honor the martyrs, number 7
Dear honored guests,
Dear colleagues, staff, and students,
For many years, we have gathered on July 27th to honor our martyrs, those who have served the revolution, and to educate the younger generation, especially the students in our school, about the noble traditions of patriotism and the indomitable spirit of our forefathers. As the saying goes, 'When drinking water, remember the source, when eating fruit, remember who planted the tree.' This deep-rooted principle is the essence of the values passed down through generations.
Dear esteemed guests,
Dear colleagues, staff, and students,
The principle of 'filial piety and kindness' as inspired by President Ho Chi Minh, and the national tradition of 'remembering the source,' have greatly influenced our school's activities for supporting veterans and martyrs' families. These activities include offering incense at the martyrs’ cemetery, visiting and providing gifts to veterans’ families, granting scholarships to the children of martyrs, and contributing to the Fund for Gratitude. These acts are all done to repay the sacrifices of those who gave their lives and health for our nation’s revolutionary cause, and to care for those who have completed their service or made significant contributions to the country.
The efforts made by our school community over the years to support veterans and martyrs have been significant, but they are still modest compared to the great sacrifices made by these heroes. Moving forward, I urge all organizations, staff, and students to enhance our efforts in this cause, to raise awareness and spark a nationwide movement for veterans and martyrs, ensuring that this work becomes a moral obligation for everyone. I also call upon the veterans and their families to continue to lead by example, further exemplifying the revolutionary spirit in every aspect of life, including community activities, work, teaching, and learning, so that we can contribute positively to the development of our homeland and strengthen our school.
Dear colleagues,
Dear students,
Each generation has a responsibility to the nation. Therefore, our generation must not only focus on the present but also reflect on the struggles of past generations and nurture future generations to carry on their legacy. I am confident that with our strong traditions of patriotism, diligence, creativity, and the moral teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, we will achieve even more success to honor the memory of President Ho Chi Minh and the martyrs in the coming years.
On behalf of all the staff and students, I pledge to continue the noble work left by our heroes and martyrs and declare: 'Eternal gratitude to our martyrs!'
Thank you, and I wish the honored guests good health!
I wish all of you here today the best. Once again, thank you very much!

6. Speech to honor the martyrs, number 8
Esteemed: Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, Distinguished Guests, Comrades, and Friends!
In the vibrant atmosphere commemorating XX years of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 201X), allow me to, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province, extend a warm welcome and wish good health to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, esteemed delegates, comrades who are war invalids, martyrs' families, and all comrades attending the Conference. On this occasion, I express my deepest gratitude to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes, Martyrs, War Invalids, and those who fought for the independence and freedom of our nation.
For over half a century, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, our people have united in the determination to carry out the great call of President Ho Chi Minh: "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom," and "Better to sacrifice everything than to lose the country, better to die than to be enslaved." Our people have overcome countless hardships, obstacles, and sacrifices to defeat the invading forces and gain independence, freedom, and national unity. To achieve this monumental victory, millions of soldiers and citizens fought and heroically sacrificed their lives on battlefields. Along with the entire nation, our province sent over ... thousand young people to the frontlines to protect the nation... To honor this enormous sacrifice, following the tradition of "Drinking water, remembering its source" passed down from our ancestors, in recent years, together with the entire country, our Party and people have been wholeheartedly caring for the material and spiritual well-being of war invalids, martyrs’ families, and those who have contributed to the revolution. Although our province still faces many economic challenges, the Party and people of our province, with deep love and responsibility, have been continuously promoting the noble cause in every locality with various meaningful activities such as establishing the Gratitude Fund, taking care of lonely martyrs' mothers, orphaned children of martyrs, providing savings books for those in need, and offering support to disabled veterans... We cannot list all the deeds our Party, the people of our province, and all localities have done to express our gratitude to war invalids, martyrs’ families, and those who contributed to the revolution.
Dear Comrades!
Along with these efforts, we are deeply moved and appreciative of the tremendous efforts of the war invalids, martyrs' families, and revolutionary contributors in our province, who have risen above their pain and loss to overcome many difficulties, dedicating their remaining strength to the nation’s renewal, proudly embodying President Ho Chi Minh’s motto: "Wounded but not useless," and continuing to promote the tradition of "The soldier of the Ho army" by building new lives for themselves and their families, contributing to the national construction. Many comrades have risen to actively participate in production and become successful, creating numerous business models that not only provide work for their families but also offer job opportunities for local people. Many exemplary role models inspire us to follow their path.
In our province, there are many exemplary individuals, and more than XX representatives here today are Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, war invalids, martyrs' families, and numerous other individuals and collectives who have excelled in the field of caring for martyrs and revolutionaries. These individuals, through their tireless efforts, continue the heroic tradition of excellence in education, work, production, business, and social activities. Many have succeeded, becoming symbols of resilience in the fight to overcome adversity and achieve prosperity, contributing to the growth and beauty of our homeland. The Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, and the provincial people highly commend and recognize the efforts of comrades who have overcome hardships to build better lives for their families and contribute to the prosperity of the nation.
With profound responsibility and affection, our Party, Government, and people have been making numerous efforts to improve the lives of war invalids, martyrs’ families, and those with contributions to the revolution. However, there is still much more to be done. Many families of war invalids and martyrs continue to face hardship; healthcare needs, the treatment of war wounds, access to education, and job creation are still areas in need of better attention. Some families have not yet received full benefits and assistance from the government. Additionally, the remains of many martyrs remain unfound, leaving a deep sense of longing among their loved ones and within all of us.
Our country is entering a new period of development, a period of industrialization and modernization for the prosperity of the nation and the well-being of its people. This goal embodies the aspirations of our entire population, and therefore, more than ever, the task of caring for war invalids, martyrs’ families, and those who have contributed to the revolution is both a responsibility of the Party and the State, as well as the heartfelt duty of every citizen. Despite our efforts, there is still more to be done. I firmly believe that all agencies, organizations, and individuals will do even better in taking care of the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, martyrs’ families, and those who contributed to the revolution.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front, I urge all organizations, units, and local authorities to continue to implement the policies of care for those who have contributed to the revolution, particularly in education, vocational training, and employment creation for them and their children; to provide practical and effective assistance to the families of revolutionaries in both material and spiritual aspects, particularly to those still facing hardship, to ensure that these families live at least as well as or better than the average standard of living.
Once again, I express my sincere gratitude to the war invalids, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, martyrs’ families, and all those who contributed to the revolution. I warmly commend the efforts of all the organizations, localities, and individuals who have contributed to improving the material and spiritual well-being of war invalids, martyrs’ families, and revolutionary contributors. May each individual, each organization, and each social group continue to do their utmost in caring for war invalids, martyrs, and those who contributed to the revolution, viewing this as a responsibility, a duty, and an honor, to express our deep gratitude for their sacrifices in the cause of national liberation and the defense of Vietnam.
I wish all delegates, war invalids, martyrs’ families, and all participants in today’s conference good health and happiness.

With deep respect and trust, we pray for the spirits of the fallen heroes to bless XX district with vitality, enabling us to successfully complete the tasks set forth by the XXth Party Congress for the 201X - 20XX term. The Party committee, government, military, and people of our district pledge to uphold and honor the glorious revolutionary cause chosen by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh. May the sacrifice of our fallen heroes never be forgotten. We wish all delegates and comrades good health.
Thank you very much.

8. Speech to Honor the Fallen Heroes Number 10
Honored spirits of the fallen heroes!
Esteemed mothers of Vietnam's fallen heroes!
Distinguished delegates!
Comrades and friends!
The historic victory of the spring of 1975 affirmed the strength of the great unity of the Vietnamese people against colonial French and imperialist American forces. It marked the rise of the Vietnamese people from a long period of suffering and slavery to liberation, leading to the complete freedom of the South, the reunification of the country, and the establishment of peace. Our nation moved forward in building socialism.
After enduring two great wars to defend the nation, under the leadership of the Party and our beloved President Ho Chi Minh, the entire Vietnamese nation fought in unison, with millions of young men and women from all over the country joining forces to drive out the French and American invaders, fighting for the truth of "Independence and freedom" for the nation. The historic victory at Dien Bien Phu will forever be remembered as an undying epic, recorded in the golden pages of our nation's history.
For 56 days and nights, our army fought with resilience and courage, leading to the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu, which was heard across the world. Years may pass, but the sacrifices made by our fallen heroes will forever be etched in the glorious pages of our nation's history, as a testament to their heroic contributions...
When the North was liberated and the country divided, the entire nation joined with the South to resist the brutal and cruel aggression of the American imperialists.
We can never forget the South, "steadfast and loyal", "a South full of bravery and strength"
"...Blood that has not dried will soon be spilled again
O South, full of hardships and pain
Twenty years never leaving the battlefield
Leading the charge, overcoming all hardships".
All for the beloved South, while the North stands ready to fight the Americans.
"O North, the weight of our shoulders
Carrying the entire nation across vast distances
Crossing the Truong Son range to save the country
With hearts full of hope for the future".
Comrades and friends!
Along with the national spirit, the people of Hung Yen have carried forward the heroic traditions of their homeland, always ready to march forward and defend the unity of our country. Throughout the long struggle against the French and Americans, many from Hung Yen, especially its youth, sacrificed their blood and youth to contribute to the nation's victory. They are the most beautiful flowers of all time.
Some of them rest in peace on the homeland soil, while countless others are buried across the country, their sacrifices a historical testament to the cruelty of French and American colonialism and betrayal. Their immense contributions and sacrifices demonstrate the shining example of revolutionary heroism in the era of Ho Chi Minh, fighting for national independence and the construction of socialism.

To honor the fallen heroes who bravely sacrificed for the independence and freedom of our nation, I ask everyone to observe a minute of silence. The minute of silence begins now.

Honoring the Spirits of the Fallen Heroes!
Though the war has passed, the painful images of grief, loss, and separation caused by enemy bombs and bullets remain etched on the faces, in the eyes, and in the hearts of many people of Vietnam. There are still many nameless fallen heroes resting in the distant forests, yet to be reunited with their homeland. There are countless others still living with the agony of Agent Orange exposure, their bodies bearing wounds that ache with the change of seasons. These are reminders of the great but courageous sacrifices made by our nation, urging today’s youth to take meaningful actions to ease the suffering of the wounded veterans and honor the memory of the fallen heroes.
Today, in the atmosphere of these historical July days marking the XXth anniversary of the Memorial Day for Martyrs, ... (name of the unit) organizes the inauguration of a memorial and offers incense to remember the fallen heroes. We humbly present to their spirits our sincere gratitude through fragrant incense to warm the hearts of those who bravely gave their lives for the independence and freedom of our country, for the happiness of our people, and to share the achievements that the youth have attained over the years.
Dear Spirits of the Fallen Heroes!
Tradition and morality are values that we, the youth, must never forget nor ignore. These principles should be carried by every young person in their education and training. With this understanding, today’s youth express their deep gratitude for the noble sacrifices made by the fallen heroes; the wounded veterans who sacrificed parts of their bodies yet still endure pain from the wounds and shrapnel embedded in them; the mothers, sisters, and children who tearfully said goodbye to their loved ones and waited in longing for their return. Now, our homeland is at peace, but countless stories of separation and loss persist. The number of fallen heroes and wounded veterans continues to rise, as do the families and communities affected by these tragedies. They need our care, attention, and support. The youth today are more determined than ever to uphold their moral responsibilities, understanding that no material wealth can compensate for these losses. Only infinite gratitude, love, and tangible actions such as lighting candles in tribute, adopting mothers of martyrs, visiting and presenting gifts on special occasions, helping with youth service projects, and performing community service work will show our respect for those who have given so much for the nation’s freedom.
Dear Spirits of the Fallen Heroes!
Under the leadership of the Party and the attention of all levels of society, with the tireless efforts of youth, the work of the Youth Union and youth movements has continuously flourished over the years. The Youth Union has consistently innovated political and ideological education, raising awareness of the revolutionary ideals and political strength of the youth. Youth are always at the forefront of revolutionary actions. The movements such as “Repaying Gratitude” and “Remembering the Source of Water” have been organized regularly and strongly. Today’s youth will forever carry an undying gratitude for the fallen heroes, who are the brightest symbols of revolutionary heroism, living for the ideals of independence, freedom, and happiness for the people. History will forever honor their names, and the Vietnamese nation will always be indebted to them. The youth will always strive to emulate these heroes—proud, resilient individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country’s independence. Today, in this sacred moment, we, the youth of this village, promise to continue the work of our ancestors, striving to contribute our skills, energy, and youthful passion to the glory of our beloved country, in a manner befitting the selfless sacrifice of our fallen heroes.
May the spirits of the fallen heroes rest in eternal peace. We bow in reverence before them.
