1. Poem: She Will Be with You - Phan Thu Hà
SHE WILL BE WITH YOU
Author: Phan Thu Hà
The sound of her footsteps fades away in the narrow alley
Leaving your heart with a note of melancholy
Is it the sun slowly fading on the grass
And at the horizon, a trace of twilight?...
Do not be sad, tomorrow she will return
She will walk with you to school
She will ignite your passions and dreams
That your young heart has longed for.
She will tell you about the green of the grass
When spring calls the flowers to bloom
She will show you the gentleness of the wind
When autumn settles on the brown rooftops.
By your side, she will be the light
So that life will not only be filled with darkness
She will lead you to the horizons of knowledge
And kindle love in the hearts of people.
Step forward with confidence, my dear
The dawn will soon break outside
You will hear the birds singing cheerfully
And life will be warm, filled with sharing.

2. Poem: Heart Flower - Lâm Bình
HEART FLOWER
Poem by: NS Lâm Bình
I was born with fewer advantages than others
Seeing life only through the heart’s guidance
Surrounded by four walls
Life slowly weeps with sorrowful drops.
During times when my parents were troubled
Medicines running out, hearts in pain
I remained silent, burying deep
The sadness that echoed like the rainy season, waiting for a time.
Then one day! I was able to attend class
Learning many wonderful things
From the Heart to the Heart
Each letter carved like a blooming flower in the human soul.
Teachers and mentors ignited hope
The Flower characters I wrote were in my bright heart
Building connections with poets for eternity
Like the lotus flower blooming, offering its fragrant beauty!

3. Poem: The Lotus Season in the Dark - Nguyễn Thành Lợi
THE LOTUS SEASON IN THE DARK
Poem by: Nguyễn Thành Lợi
The darkness is not black,
It is merely a tranquil realm!
Do not drift into oblivion...
Cheer up, my love!
Darkness is not silent,
It carries the songs of countless birds,
Singing and chirping,
As their hearts beat with life!
Darkness is a deep calm!
In the garden of colorful flowers...
Shimmering in the mystical night,
Eyes sparkling...like droplets of dew!
Darkness, you and I,
In the closeness of familiarity!
Together, the sky remains bright!
The fragrance wafts...The Lotus Season!

4. Poem: The Blind War Veteran - Phạm Văn Ngoạn
THE BLIND WAR VETERAN
Author: Phạm Văn Ngoạn
The country was at war.
Farewell to his loved ones, he joined the army.
Crossing the treacherous mountains, hungry and sleepless,
He went to liberate the South.
In a fierce battle.
His eyes were no longer intact.
The surroundings became shrouded in darkness.
This world turned into an endless night.
His comrades took him to the rear.
A village teacher welcomed him with warmth.
They cherished and loved him,
Together, they built a home for the future.
Then...every evening or early morning,
The sound of a cane tapping along the village road...
The steps of the blind war veteran trudging back and forth with effort.
He went to sell lottery tickets, returning...
He threw himself into every task in the village.
Forgetting the gloomy, painful thoughts.
He found joy in his children's laughter.
Living in boundless happiness.
He never accepted the fate of waiting
For pity or sympathy.
No self-pity, no blame for anyone.
Before him lay a bright future...
He was the true victor, returning home.
By his side were his wife, children, and the village...

5. Poem: The Wonderful Match - Hồ Viết Bình
THE WONDERFUL MATCH
Author: Hồ Viết Bình
Running after the sound of the ball,
My feet touch it and I kick it right away,
Heading towards the coach,
Standing behind the goal, shouting: boy, boy.
Great play, kids,
Even without seeing the ball, you're playing superbly,
Dodging, weaving, and tricking,
Though tired after one half, you're happy.
Each team has only five players,
With two coaches keeping an eye on everyone,
Hoà, Thuận, Mai,
On the left and right, two teammates are guiding.
Hoà, keep pushing forward,
Hearing the coach call, you quickly pass the ball,
Boy, boy, I’m right here,
You kicked so hard, we all fell on top of each other.
The coach helps me up, pats my head,
Oh! Such a wonderful match, my boy,
Visually impaired but not lacking in talent,
We train, and tomorrow, we will help the world.

6. Poem: The Little Blind Girl Selling Toothpicks - Doãn Kim Oanh
The Little Blind Girl Selling Toothpicks
Author: Doãn Kim Oanh
There is a blind girl
Selling toothpicks at the market corner,
How long has it been since I remembered?
On a day of scorching sun and thunderous rain.
Her lips are pale with a faint shade of purple.
My tears flowed
When I bought a bundle of toothpicks,
She thought I had made a mistake,
And handed the money back.
But my heart warmed up.
Looking into her eyes,
Her dark eyes
Could not see clearly,
But her soul
Is pure and noble.
Hoping one day
There will be hands
To share kindness,
Bringing light into her life
The little blind girl of mine.

7. Poem: The Two Street Singers - Đỗ Thị Phương Lan
The Two Street Singers
Author: Đỗ Thị Phương Lan
The younger brother walks ahead,
Holding his older brother’s hand,
The older brother cannot see
Because his eyes have failed him.
The two siblings sing on the streets,
Making a few coins to survive,
Though the struggle is endless,
They never beg for alms.
Even though the older brother is blind,
He must care for himself and his brother,
They live with deep affection,
Never bowing to society.
The older brother plays the guitar, the younger sings,
They earn money with their hard work,
No matter how much they make,
They always get along well together.
People's fate
Is never something anyone can foresee,
Living honorably is enough,
Never ashamed of the world...

8. Your Eyes
Poem: Phạm Thị Hồng Thu
The sky created windows to the soul,
Viewing life through your bright eyes,
Anger, love, longing deeply,
Dreaming far and elegantly.
Your eyes have spoken for me,
Expressing what is difficult to say,
They flutter and sway in passion,
Leaving others lost from dawn to dusk.
I love those eyes so much,
How can I make you see,
Your life is full of suffering,
If it weren’t for fate, you wouldn't feel sorrow.
My dear, I will always be by your side,
Together we will search for the light,
Your soul will fill with golden sunshine,
And love will surely bring your sight back.

9. ONE EYE LOOKS AT LIFE
Poem: Tống Thu Ngân
Hey, look at life
With just one eye
It will be wonderful
Hey, look at me
With just one eye
Just one eye
You see it now
I am truly wonderful
Wink one eye
And feel the love
Wink one eye
And see heaven
Wink one eye
And smell the fragrance
Look at me
With one eye
To see how charming I am
Wink one eye
Smile half a smile
Speak half a word
Oh, how sweet
Eat half a meal
Sleep half a night
Love without limit
Half a heart
Look with one eye
I teach you
Pull half the curtain
Oh, how difficult
Look at life
With both eyes
Clear eyes
Like a cat's eyes
So adorable
So adorable
La la la...
La la la...

10. THE BLIND EYE BUT LIFE BLOOMS GREEN
Poem: Lan Vương
Darkness surrounds you
Yet your smile still shines with every step
How sweet is your voice full of care
Your soul is pure, and your words rich and deep
My dear, though blind
You have a heart full of love
Compassionate, eager, and wise
Sharing food and clothes though you have less
Darkness flickers around you
But your kind heart is undeterred by hardship
Your mirror reflects a thousand times
Your light of kindness shines like the sun
This is who you are, my dear
Though blind, your life blooms green
Overcoming darkness, determined to succeed
Even broken, you rise, worthy of admiration.

11. STREET PERFORMER
Poem: Nguyễn Khắc Mận
I hear the love song of Nghệ
My heart overflows with joy
Searching for the singer
With a melody that swells
A pair of blind eyes
Only a guitar in hand
A hat turned upside down
His voice echoes far and wide
I listen to the love song
And it makes me feel strangely moved
A blind man singing
A song full of love for life
With just a loudspeaker
The chorus reaches far
Dedicated to the soldiers on remote islands
With a passionate love for the country.

12. TWO STARS
Poem: Nguyễn Thị Hồng Hạnh
How precious are the eyes my mother gave me
So I could see the world in all its colors.
But then I endured the pain
The consequences of Agent Orange's poison.
Where has the sky gone, its blue hue
Where are the reds, yellows, browns, and greens?
Where have the brothers and sisters gone
Where have the friends gone... now only darkness remains.
Dear one, find peace
Your parents, siblings, and teachers are by your side
Your friends, near and far
Will be your eyes, will be your love.
Here, the ordinary life continues
The state, society, and school take care of you.
We give you the wings of freedom
We gift you a life of warmth and peace.
Even though your eyes are blind
Believe that you will overcome this.
Hold on to hope, with unwavering strength
Your eyes will shine, you will be the star.

13. Poem: I Will Be Your Eyes - Nguyễn Lan Hương
I Will Be Your Eyes
(A loving gift to teacher Phạm Vân Hương and the students of the Hải Dương center for the visually impaired)
Today, the sky is so beautiful
The young birds are hopping as summer begins
The striped cat curls up in the mother's lap
A kite soars high above the bamboo treetops.
Today, the road is so busy
Can you hear the train whistle?
The street vendor's cheerful calls in the market
The hurried footsteps of people passing by.
Where will today's lesson take you?
The Braille letters speak for you
Teacher smiles, yet her heart aches
As she hears the tap of your cane on the road...
Open your heart, my dear, I love and care for you
Take my hand, I will be your eyes
The world for me is a rain of clarity
With a lamp lighting up the dark of night.
Your world may lack full color
Stay close to me, I will be your light
I’ll guide you to where the dawn breaks
This world will never be dark, my dear...
Take my hand, I’ll lead you through the night
I will be the dawn, I will be your eyes
I will carry you into love...

14. Poem: The Color of Longing - Hoàng Minh Tuấn
THE COLOR OF LONGING
Poem by: Hoàng Minh Tuấn
I always remember the old days
When we were young, surrounded by friends
Holding hands, carefree, hour after hour
Playing joyfully in that schoolyard.
Then, when school ended, mother would be there
Welcoming me home, asking about my day
Did I learn to play the piano today?
Will I join the drawing class tomorrow?
I would hide the stories I hadn't told
Like ink stains from my classmates’ desks
And the teacher’s sighs of disappointment
Luckily, she forgave me and didn’t tell mother.
Then there were the nights of celebration
Under the moonlight, running and leaping
I remember the pale moonlight of the full moon
And the red lanterns as we reviewed our team.
I remember the smiles, the overwhelming affection
And the goodbyes when mother left
Then one day, something happened
My vision began to blur...
My eyes could never return
To the way they were when I first learned to walk,
I knew mother hid her tears
When she realized I could no longer see...
So many treatments, so many efforts
Mother took me everywhere
Hoping that the light of life
Would return to me once more...
................
I know mother suffers so deeply
Every time she tells me
What color the moonlight is tonight
Is it silver or the sad red hue...
Her voice still whispers softly
So that I can follow her, dear mother
It breaks my heart, this lonely soul
And my mother’s heart, filled with worry and longing...
Yes, fate has made me suffer
But mother, please don’t be sad
Now, all I need is one color
THE COLOR OF LONGING, which you have given to me!

15. Poem: The Story of a Blind Soldier - Đoàn Thịnh
The Story of a Blind Soldier
Author: Đoàn Thịnh
We met, stammering through our greetings
Hands fumbling, reaching out to touch each other's faces.
Behind every pair of dark glasses
The pupils, like porcelain, seem hollow and lifeless.
Only the sparkling sound of laughter
Then we hugged and cried as though it were still yesterday…
The day our eyes could still see…
Enduring the nights of battle, in sun and rain, through long distances.
Eyes once longed for the orange blossom, hair in braids
We gazed wistfully, beyond the rear lines.
Now, we tap our canes along the road
Leaning on anything, unsure of our steps.
Those once familiar faces, now gone
The flowers, the moonlight, the redness of lips… lost
Only the blurry silhouette of a mother, bent with age, waiting for her child.
It’s as though all the bright stars have gathered
Only darkness remains in the sockets of our eyes.
They laugh, cry with innocence
And the friends around us sob with every word.
Thousands of stars, forever shining bright
In those eyes, oh soldier of the battlefield.
Đoàn Thịnh
