1. Essay on the Cat No. 4
Meow! Meow! Meow! That’s the sound of Mi-Mi, the cat my grandmother gave me about a year ago. Now, she’s grown so much.
Mi-Mi is a tortoiseshell cat, about the size of my calf. Her fur is a blend of white, black, and yellow. Thanks to being well cared for, she’s become quite plump and beautiful. Her head is as big as an orange, with ears as large as mushrooms, standing up and very sharp. Her eyes are small, round, and resemble marbles. At night, her eyes glow, shining brightly and beautifully.
Her nose is like a little pink nub, perfect for sniffing out scents. Her mouth is small, but when she growls, her sharp, white teeth show, looking quite fierce. Above her mouth are white whiskers, and her short neck is attached to her slim body. Her tail is slightly short, about the size of my thumb. Her four legs are long and strong, with sharp claws underneath. Mi-Mi’s steps are light and quiet because there’s a small pad on her feet.
Mi-Mi is very gentle, loving, and an excellent mouse hunter. She loves climbing, running, and jumping. Often, she’ll climb up to the windowsill or roof to bask in the sun. Once, I watched her carefully stalk a mouse. She crouched in a corner of the kitchen, eyes fixed on the space under the cupboard. She waited patiently for a long time, and finally, a little mouse appeared. Mi-Mi dashed out and quickly used her sharp claws to catch it, then took it away to eat.
Cats are incredibly useful. Besides eliminating pesky rats, they help protect food supplies. I really love Mi-Mi. I treat her like a little sister. In my free time, I play with her, feed her regularly, and sometimes give her a bath to keep her clean.

4. A Composition about the Cat - No. 7
Out of nowhere, a few little mice started showing up in our house. That's when my mom decided to get a cat right away. Actually, she got it from a friend, but had to pay a small amount for it because, according to her, this would make the cat strong and healthy. I immediately grew fond of this cat.
When it first came home, the cat was tiny, looking like a little ball of tangled fur, mewing “meow meow.” Now, after four months, it's become a mature and strong cat, with a proud “ngao ngao” meow. It's a calico cat, with three colors: white, brown, and gray, forming patches like a flowery sweater. Its fur is thick and soft, and when I pet it, it feels so pleasant.
From head to tail, the cat is almost two hand spans long. Its head is like a round ball of yarn, followed by a strong neck, and a slender body that becomes more robust toward the back. Its four legs are long and muscular, perfect for climbing and running. The cat's toes are short but have sharp, curved claws. Its face is so cute, round, with two green eyes that look like shiny marbles, a small pink nose, and long whiskers extending to both sides.
I've heard that those whiskers are actually special “antennas” that help cats navigate. I named it Mi Mi, and it seems to understand and accept the name. During the day, Mi Mi casually roams around the house. Sometimes, it jumps or chases a cockroach, or even pounces on a piece of paper, pretending it's a mouse.
Every day after meals, I feed Mi Mi in a small dish. Mi Mi eats slowly, neatly, and rarely spills food. I’ve seen Mi Mi catch mice before. One time, while I was lying down, I heard a rustling sound in the corner. Mi Mi immediately stood up, its front paws straight, its back legs bent, tail tucked close to its body, and head low. It froze like a statue, with only its eyes wide open and glowing. Suddenly, a quick flash passed in front of me, followed by a soft “chit” sound. That’s how Mi Mi took care of a troublesome mouse!
Mi Mi is such a lovely and helpful cat. Every time I come home from school, Mi Mi seems to wait, rushing over to rub against my legs. I bend down, pick Mi Mi up, and say, “Mi Mi, I love you so much!”

5. A Composition about the Cat - No. 8
"Meow…Meow…" This is the affectionate meow of Mi Mi, my cat, whenever I return home from school. She was the best gift I received for my birthday from my mother.
Mi Mi has a soft and cuddly body, with a coat of three colors: pure white, golden yellow, and speckled. It's like a warm sweater that protects her from the cold. Her head is round like an orange, and her ears are always alert, listening for any movement. Her eyes are large, round, and clear, like glass. Her small pink nose is always slightly moist, and on either side of her face are curved whiskers, white like silk threads.
Mi Mi’s mouth looks small and cute normally, but whenever she yawns, her sharp teeth appear, which is quite intimidating! These teeth are her weapons for hunting. She also has sharp claws under her paws. Her white tail is smooth and constantly moves up and down, adding elegance to her every movement. Every time Mi Mi walks, she moves like a “lady” of great grace, making the male cats around her fall head over heels for her and surround this “beautiful princess.”
I remember when she first came home, she would hide behind the armchair, looking terrified, her eyes wide open, staring at everyone with a cautious expression… Over time, Mi Mi grew comfortable with the whole family, but I was the one she became the closest to. I was the one who always served her meals. Unless she was really hungry, Mi Mi would usually stand at a distance and stare at her bowl, waiting for me to invite her before cautiously stepping forward. She eats slowly and delicately, nibbling from the outside in. Oh, but when Mi Mi catches a mouse, she looks fierce! Any mouse that meets her fate is truly unlucky.
Mi Mi loves playing with a ball. Whenever I toss one for her, she rushes over and plays with it skillfully. In the blink of an eye, she’s under the table, jumping with perfect rhythm and grace, like a professional acrobat. Every afternoon, Mi Mi lies flat in the sun by the window, waiting for me to return. When she sees me coming home, Mi Mi runs to the door, her green eyes sparkling, and her little mouth meowing, "meow…meow…" She nudges her head against my legs, asking for me to pet her soft fur.
Mi Mi has become my closest companion. Whenever I'm feeling down, I talk to her, and she responds with her soothing meows: "meow…meow…". Though she can't speak words, her comforting presence is enough to lift my spirits. Everyone in my family loves Mi Mi. She truly is a meaningful gift, and Mi Mi has become an irreplaceable member of our family.

6. A Composition about the Cat - No. 9
Everyone praises the beauty and elegance of my cat. She is a "calico" cat, with a three-colored coat, and since my father brought her home, she has now reached the age of one year.
When my father first brought her home, she was no bigger than a large cucumber. Each meal, she would barely eat a few grains of rice and a small piece of fish or meat before seeking a warm spot to curl up and sleep. There was even a time when she was sick for two days straight, refusing to eat anything. Her body felt weak, and she could hardly walk. I had to hand-feed her during that time, and we feared she might not survive. But now, she has grown into a strong, beautiful, and graceful young cat.
Her three-colored fur—yellow, black, and white—blends together so smoothly, soft as silk, giving her an impeccable and fashionable appearance. Her round face, about the size of an adult's fist, is highlighted by a small, delicate nose and two tiny, moist pink nostrils. White whiskers on either side of her mouth twitch continuously, adding to her cuteness. Her mouth is outlined with a soft pink line, as though she has just applied makeup for an evening ball.
Her tail, about the length of two of my hands, is perfectly round with the three colors swirling around it. Sometimes it coils into a spiral, other times it straightens out, or wiggles playfully, always full of character. Her claws are deadly sharp, curved like a scythe and as sharp as a carving knife. These claws are her weapons, and any opponent that crosses her path is sure to be taken by surprise.
She loves to be pampered. Every time I sit down to study, she slowly walks over, hops onto my desk, and curls up in my lap. She nudges her wet nose against my hand, purring softly, wanting my attention. During these moments, I can’t resist giving her a few minutes of affection and love, gently petting and comforting her.
On sunny days, she enjoys lounging in the yard near the betel nut tree, stretching her belly toward the sun. Her half-closed eyes gaze lazily at the high-flying birds, counting each falling betel nut flower that gently lands on the ground, filling the yard with delicate white petals. Sometimes, she playfully chases the little puppy around, and after a few rounds of chasing, she climbs the betel nut tree with ease, her agile movements making it look effortless. In the blink of an eye, she is high in the tree, looking down at the confused puppy below, barking up at her.
By day, she enjoys relaxing, but at night, she becomes a diligent and determined worker. No corner of the house is left unchecked, especially the spots where she suspects mice might be lurking. Her eyes, sharp and penetrating, see through the darkness, and no mouse, whether it’s a house mouse, field mouse, or filthy sewer rat, escapes her keen sight. The way she sits in wait or approaches her prey shows her true skill, almost like a "special forces agent" of the household.
Her paws are equipped with soft, silent pads, allowing her to move with no sound, no matter how much running, jumping, or climbing she does. Unlike the sluggishness usually associated with cats, when she spots an enemy, she moves with lightning speed. I once witnessed her engage in battle with a sewer rat near the water well at dusk.
As soon as she heard a rustling sound from the kitchen, she sprang from the chair as if propelled by a spring, darting towards the noise. The rat, sensing danger, scurried toward the water tank in a panic. Like a flash of lightning, she leaped and intercepted its path. Just as the rat turned to escape, she was already on top of it, pinning it down with her body. One paw blocked the rat's throat, while the other struck it with precise, deadly claws. In just thirty seconds, the rat’s eyes bulged out. She then grabbed it by the neck and slammed it onto the concrete floor of the tank, making sure it was lifeless before releasing her grip, standing proudly over her defeated foe.
Since her arrival, the filthy rats have never dared to return. Everyone in the house loves and cherishes her. For me, she is always the closest, most adorable companion, playing with me when my parents are away.

7. An Essay About the Cat - No. 10
My pet cat is a calico, and she had three adorable kittens. However, none of them inherited her fur color. My grandmother gave me a black kitten once it was old enough to eat solid food.
Though small, the kitten was strong and grew rapidly. In just six months, it had become a mature cat, skilled at hunting mice. Its sleek, shiny black fur gave it an elegant appearance. The cat's round head and sharp, green eyes made it look striking. Its ears were like two leaves placed on either side of its head. Its nose was light brown and small, with long, stiff whiskers that gave it a charming look.
Its body was slim and the size of an adult’s arm. Its legs were well-formed, with the paws shaped like velvet slippers. The cat moved gracefully, its long tail swaying behind it like a professional mouse hunter, calm and calculated. In the mornings, it would lazily sunbathe on the porch, and in the afternoon, it would stroll around the house, keeping an eye on the walls, preparing to pounce on any geckos it could find. Geckos were just for play, but mice were its real prey.
In the evening, the cat would sit motionless in the corner, its four paws tucked beneath it and its tail curled close to the ground. It would quietly wait for a mouse. Its eyes would shine brightly, focused on the corner of the room where my mother stored food. A mouse would appear near the corn bag, and the cat would leap forward, catching the mouse with a quick, sharp “chit”. The cat would then carry its catch outside to the backyard.
After playing with the mouse for a while, the cat would finally eat it. Thanks to this clever cat, we no longer had mice ruining our crops. The cat was also smart enough to show affection. Whenever I returned from school, it would run up to me, meowing happily and rubbing against my legs. I would bend down and stroke its head. The cat would purr, eyes half-closed, looking adorable and content. In rural areas, many households keep cats to keep rodents at bay, and my cat, admired by everyone, was often jokingly called “The Mouse Slayer”.
I love my cat dearly and often play with it. Besides being an excellent “Mouse Slayer”, my cat is a great companion, always eager to show affection and greet me after school. Truly, my cat is irresistibly cute!

8. An Essay About the Cat - No. 11
We have a beautiful kitten at home, and I named it Snow White.
It has a soft, white coat with light yellow and brown spots. Its round head and perky ears are very sensitive to sound. Snow White’s eyes are gentle and kind, but at night, they glow, helping the cat see clearly in the dark. Its tail curls upward like a question mark, adding a charming touch. Its slender legs allow it to move lightly, almost as if it’s gliding on the ground.
Whenever I study, Snow White loves to nuzzle its white whiskers against my legs. During moments like these, I often reward it with a delicious fish-shaped snack. When I’m free, I take Snow White to the nearby park to play. At bedtime, I cuddle with the kitten, and we both sleep peacefully together.
In my dreams, I often imagine playing joyfully with Snow White. It has become an irreplaceable part of my family, and everyone at home loves this little cat dearly.

9. An Essay About the Cat - No. 12
Knowing how much I love cats, my mother gave me a very cute kitten as a birthday gift. We named it Joba.
Joba has sleek, jet-black fur that feels as soft as velvet. Its body is small, and when it moves, its tail constantly wags along with it. The pads of its feet are cushioned, allowing it to move silently, especially when hunting, without making a sound. Combined with its sharp claws, it has a natural set of weapons.
Joba's head is small, and its ears are always perked up, as if it’s listening for something. Its eyes are large and round, like two marbles, and it has a pair of delicate whiskers on each side of its face. Although Joba has only been with us for a short time, everyone in the house has already grown fond of it.
Every day, Joba cleans itself thoroughly. When it's time to eat, we place its food neatly in a bowl so Joba doesn’t make a mess. After finishing its meal, Joba always heads straight to the water to rinse its mouth. Joba is also very good at its job. When there are mice in the house, it becomes a little hero, working diligently to catch them. After every successful hunt, my mother rewards it with a fried fish.
Joba will always be my close companion and a beloved member of our family!

10. An Essay About the Cat - No. 13
A few months ago, when I visited my uncle's house, he gave me a delightful gift. It was a cat.
I named it Cục Than, a name that everyone finds quite charming. It has sleek, shiny black fur that is well-groomed. Than is one and a half years old and is quite plump.
Its ears are triangle-shaped and always perked up as if listening for something. Than has bright, green eyes that shine like two small flashlights at night. When hunting, its gaze becomes sharp and focused, but when playing with the family, it looks gentle and innocent.
Than's nose is pink and always a little damp, making it look like a little baby, especially when it is peacefully sleeping. Its pride is its long, soft tail that moves gracefully with every step. Sometimes, I watch it playfully chase its own tail.
Than has four long, slender legs that are very nimble. It can quickly climb up coconut trees and leap from house to house. Its sharp claws are its trusted companions during hunting. Than is very active and enjoys playing with other cats in the neighborhood. It is excellent at catching mice, and my father once watched it hunt and was very impressed. Thanks to Than, our family feels safe about the rice storage and kitchen. The cat seems very proud of its work and sometimes shows a satisfied expression after a successful hunt.
I love Cục Than very much and hope it will stay with our family for many years to come!

11. An Essay About the Cat - No. 14
If anyone asks how many people are in my family, I will happily answer: "Five people: my father, my mother, me, and Xoài." Xoài is a little cat that was given to our family last year, and it is so adorable that everyone in the house considers it the youngest member of the family.
Xoài is nearly two years old now, with a small build, weighing around 10 kilograms. I named it Xoài because its fur is soft and golden, resembling the color of a ripe mango. When it curls up to sleep, it looks like a cozy little ball of fluff. When it runs around the yard in the sunlight, its coat gleams beautifully.
Its round head is about the size of an adult's fist. When I gently pet it, Xoài will rub its head against my hand as if asking for affection. My favorite feature is its bright, round eyes, the color of jade. They sparkle as if filled with water, and at night, they shine like radar beams searching for any mice in the area. However, having sharp eyes isn't enough for catching mice; Xoài also has long, white whiskers that vibrate when it moves, giving it a cunning look. Its legs are graceful, with soft pink pads that allow it to move completely silently. I will never forget the time when I couldn't find Xoài at home and was worried all day, only to eventually find it on the roof. That’s when I realized how agile cat legs truly are!
I love my kitten so much, and I always consider Xoài more than just a pet; it is a true member of our family.

12. An Essay About the Cat - No. 15
My family lives with my grandparents in a large house in a peaceful rural area. In that small house, my grandparents take care of many animals: a flock of chickens, a dog that guards the house... and a beautiful calico cat.
This adorable cat is very special, with a unique coat of three colors: white, black, and orange. I named it Ba Khoang (Three Patches). Its small head, shaped like an orange, is covered in soft, golden fur. Ba Khoang wears a beautiful coat, alternating between black and white, and its fur is incredibly soft to the touch, smooth and a little ticklish. I especially love its big, bright eyes, which sparkle like marbles. In the dark, its eyes shine brightly like little lamps. My mom says cats have the ability to see in the dark to help them spot mice that are causing trouble, and they can easily chase them away.
Its small, triangular ears are always perked up, as if listening carefully for something. Despite its small size, Ba Khoang is incredibly agile and strong. Its long, two-tone tail sways gracefully as it walks, and its sharp claws are its most powerful weapon for catching mischievous mice. The soft, pink pads under its paws allow it to move silently. I often don’t notice when Ba Khoang sneaks up to sit beside me until I feel its presence around my feet.
Ba Khoang is well-behaved and very quick. I remember when I was younger, our house often heard the sounds of mice at night, and the rice bags were often torn open by them. But ever since Ba Khoang arrived, those scary noises have stopped. I love it so much.
Every day, I bring food for Ba Khoang. It loves eating rice with fish, and it always finishes it quickly when it’s in its bowl. When I have free time, I play with it, give it a bath even though it doesn’t like water, and watch it relax on sunny days, enjoying the warmth of the sun or chasing after butterflies in the yard.
I love my little cat so much. I always take great care of Ba Khoang because it is the savior of our family.

13. An Essay Describing My Cat
On my 8th birthday, my grandmother gave me an adorable and lovable cat. The moment I saw it, I was overjoyed and fascinated. I affectionately named it Mi.
"Meow, meow, meow," every time I sat down to study, Mi would come and nuzzle its head against my legs. Mi and I became inseparable. When my grandmother gave it to me, the cat was no bigger than a small bottle of water, but now it has grown as large as a giant Coca-Cola bottle. Its fur is a soft golden color, with a few white patches that make it even more beautiful.
Mi's head is slightly bigger than a tennis ball, with round eyes like marbles, glowing brightly like headlights. Its nose is light pink, always moist, like someone with a cold. Mi's ears are incredibly sharp! Any small noise, and Mi knows exactly what it is and whether it needs attention. Those ears and that nose are its radar to detect clever mice or thieves trying to steal rice from the pantry.
Mi wears a pale white scarf around its neck. Its four legs, though not tall, are quick and nimble. Beneath its paws are thick, soft, light pink pads. My grandmother says these pads help Mi move silently, so mice never see it coming. Mi's claws are sharp and deadly. I once felt those claws when I played too roughly with Mi, leaving marks on my hand. These claws are Mi's weapons, making every mouse that crosses its path tremble in fear.
Whenever Mi wants to play, it rubs its head against my hand and then gently scratches my palm with its claws. Oh! And Mi’s tail is so flexible! It curls like a question mark, impossible to hide. Every day, Mi would nap soundly. But the mice wouldn't dare come out to cause trouble, for they know Mi is watching them closely.
At night, Mi becomes the hunter. It knows every corner of the house, and no mouse can escape its detection. I once saw Mi catch a mouse during the day. The mouse must have been hungry and desperate. Mi hid behind a broom near the grain chest. A sneaky mouse, eyes darting, tried to climb the chest to steal some rice. Mi remained still, pretending to sleep. Suddenly, there was a snap, and I heard a shrill squeak as Mi pounced, catching the mouse in its claws.
Proud of its catch, Mi carried the mouse out to the yard. Mi dropped it and played with it, batting it with its paw. The mouse tried to escape, but it couldn’t. I’m sure it was already terrified. Mi casually sat down and finished off the little mouse. Every time Mi caught a mouse, I would pet it and praise it. At meal time, I always made sure to reward Mi with the tastiest treats. Mi looked so pleased.
Mi doesn’t eat much. Every day, it doesn’t finish a full bowl of rice. It eats very slowly, nibbling piece by piece. I often hear people say "eating like a cat"—that’s true! No matter how hungry Mi is, it eats calmly. Unlike Vang, the mischievous dog in our house, who eats like there's no tomorrow. Vang and Mi are very close and play together every day without any fights.
In the morning, when the golden sun fills the yard, Mi lies on its back, eyes half-closed, looking incredibly cute. Occasionally, it raises its paw to scratch its face as if washing up. In the evening, after dinner, Mi always tries to sit on my lap, purring for attention.
I love Mi very much. Mi is not only a gift from my grandmother, but also our family's "mouse warrior." Mi has helped our home by keeping the mice away. Since Mi came, we no longer worry about mice causing trouble. I will continue to take good care of Mi, play with Mi happily, and follow my grandmother’s advice when she gave me Mi.

14. An Essay Describing My Cat #2
We have a cat in our house. It's an important member of our family.
Our cat just turned one year old. It carries itself with the elegance of a small leopard. This cat is a calico breed that my aunt gave me last year. In just one year, it’s grown quite a bit and now fits perfectly in my arms. I gently stroke its soft fur and call, "Mi Mi - go play, so I can write my essay!" It seems to respond with a soft purr, as if it’s complaining a little.
This cat has a beautiful coat of two colors: white and yellow. Its fur is as silky as thread. From a distance, it looks like a floating cloud. The fur on its back is a golden brown, while its neck, head, and legs are a mix of brown and white. Its long, curved tail is soft and elegant, swaying from side to side. Its slender legs are a sight to behold. Underneath its paws are soft pads, making its footsteps light and quiet. Of course, it also has sharp claws—its most formidable weapon.
Its head is the size of a pomelo, constantly twitching from side to side. Its ears are small, like two upright lime leaves, always alert to sounds. Whenever I touch its ears, it seems to dislike it, shaking its head in protest. Its pink nose sniffs the air in the cutest way. White whiskers curl out on either side, giving it a dignified look. But the most striking feature is its sharp, quick eyes, which are a brilliant shade of green, like two shiny glass marbles, always scanning its surroundings.
When it yawns, you can see tiny teeth, sharp like little thorns. On sunny days, it goes out to the yard, licking its paws, stretching its back legs behind it, and basking in the sunlight. "Ah, what a lovely day!" It must be thinking that. It playfully swishes its tail, biting it lightly. Suddenly, with a burst of energy, it climbs a palm tree, scratching the trunk with its claws while singing in delight.
Our cat is incredibly sharp! It can hear even the smallest sounds. One day, it was hiding behind the rice container, waiting for mice. Soon enough, a mouse crept toward the food tray. The cat pounced with perfect timing. It leaped silently, landing right on the mouse with a swift "squeak" as the mouse found itself trapped in the cat's claws.
Since we got this cat, our house has had far fewer mice. I call it our "guard cat" and always think of it as a little friend. When I hear its soft, raspy meow from behind the house, I know it's my cat calling for attention. I pick it up and whisper, "We will always be friends, won’t we?"

15. An Essay Describing My Cat #3
"Meow...meow...meow, wash your face like a cat." This is the song my little sister, Phuong, sings every day. Since she sings it so often, our mom decided to buy us a beautiful calico cat.
The cat’s name is Tom. Its three-colored fur—yellow, black, and white—blends perfectly, giving Tom a stunning coat. Its round head is about the size of an adult's fist, highlighted by a tiny, cute nose with two little pink nostrils. Whiskers on both sides of its mouth twitch continuously. Its legs are small and slender, like tiny gourds.
Tom’s tail is long, elegant, and graceful. His claws are sharp, looking menacing yet practical, serving as self-defense when needed. Tom loves to be pampered and stroked. While we’re watching TV, he often curls up in my lap, begging for me to pet his soft fur. On sunny days, Tom enjoys lying under the lemon tree, stretching out his belly to soak up the warmth. His eyes squint in contentment as he watches the clouds float across the bright, clear sky.
At night, Tom becomes quite the diligent worker. There is no corner he doesn't search, especially in the kitchen where the mice like to hide. His eyes glow in the darkness like piercing beams of light, cutting through the night’s shadows. His feet are equipped with soft, thick pads, allowing him to move silently. No filthy rat, whether it’s a small house mouse or a large sewer rat, can escape the sharpness of his teeth.
I really appreciate Tom because he’s helped rid our house of troublesome mice. As a reward for his hard work, I plan to treat him to a meal of fish and a glass of fresh milk. Tom is truly a wise and obedient cat!
