1. Electronic and Home Appliance Repair Technician (Income: 4.5 - 10 million VND/month)
If you're skilled in repairing electronic devices and home appliances such as TVs, refrigerators, air conditioners, laptops, and phones, this could be the perfect job for you.
You can start from a personal interest in fixing household items, or you may choose to attend a specialized vocational school for advanced repair training. This profession is currently in high demand. An essential requirement is that you must genuinely enjoy the work and be honest with your customers, avoiding any dishonest practices such as replacing parts with substandard ones. Your skills should also be continuously improved to avoid making mistakes that could harm both your clients and your reputation.
By gaining more experience and working with a variety of products, you’ll deepen your understanding of how different items are built and function. Over time, you could even become a manager, teaching others, or start your own repair company.
Expected income: 4.5 - 10 million VND/month.

2. Delivery Staff (Income: 5 - 10+ million VND/month)
Delivery staff, also known as Shippers, is a straightforward and easily accessible job for anyone over 18, with a driver's license and good knowledge of local streets.
Today, home delivery services have become extremely popular. Most businesses now offer delivery to customers' homes, which has created more job opportunities for delivery workers. To become a shipper, the requirements are simple: be at least 18 years old, have a driver’s license, own a motorcycle, be in good health, and know the streets well. Some companies may also ask for a security deposit, such as an ID card or a certain amount of money, which is understandable due to the large amounts of cash involved in deliveries.
Many people opt to become shippers as a short-term solution to earn extra income during their free time or while figuring out their career path. Others choose to commit to the profession and grow into more senior roles within the company, with higher income potential. Some even go on to start their own delivery services after gaining enough experience. For others, it is a valuable first job experience.
Becoming a professional shipper requires skill development. You’ll need to learn how to securely pack goods and minimize risks. You'll need to find quicker routes to reduce customer wait times and know the local areas and streets well to optimize your deliveries. Taking care of your vehicle is crucial, as it directly impacts your ability to earn.
Additionally, becoming a professional shipper means understanding the Road Traffic Law to avoid penalties while on the job.
Expected income: 5 - 10+ million VND/month (depending on product type and company size).

3. Grabbike, UberMoto Driver (Income: 5 - 10 million VND/month)
This job also involves riding a motorcycle, but instead of delivering goods like a typical delivery driver, you’ll be transporting people from one location to another based on customer requests.
Unlike the traditional ‘motorcycle taxi’ where you stand on the street waiting for passengers, companies like Grab and Uber allow you to register as a driver for them. All you need is a motorcycle that meets their requirements, an ID card, and a valid driver's license. Once you're registered, customers using the Uber or Grab app can easily find you nearby and request a ride, allowing you to start earning money. You may even receive a company uniform, vehicle decals, and some accessories to aid your work.
This service is particularly popular with young people looking for extra income or those with plenty of free time. It also reduces the risks of competing with other street-based motorcycle taxis, as you won’t have to worry about potential confrontations. However, as with any job, there are expectations. You’ll need to build up your skills as a driver for Uber or Grab. Good service and a positive attitude will result in higher ratings and more tips, while poor service will lead to complaints. Professionalism and adherence to traffic laws are essential if you want to earn well and sustain a long-term income.
Expected income: 5 - 10 million VND/month (depending on how often you work, your performance, and customer ratings).

4. Warehouse Staff (Income: 4 - 8 million VND/month)
This role primarily requires good physical health and attention to detail. A university degree holds little significance when applying for a warehouse staff position at any company.
Your key responsibilities will include organizing goods according to established guidelines, monitoring stock levels, and preparing inventory reports. You will also perform stock checks regularly (daily, weekly, or monthly) to ensure inventory accuracy. Warehouse staff are essential in all companies, as you are responsible for tracking each item’s quantity. You must be precise about stock movements, whether incoming or outgoing.
Physical stamina, a strong sense of responsibility, and precision are crucial qualities for a warehouse employee. Some companies offer a responsibility bonus based on performance. A tidy, well-organized warehouse with accurate stock records will earn you rewards, while inventory discrepancies, lost goods, or damaged products will result in penalties.
From this role, you can advance to positions like Warehouse Manager, eventually taking on responsibilities in stock management or logistics. The skills you gain in managing inventory, overseeing goods flow, and organizing warehouse space will be invaluable should you decide to start your own business in the future.
Expected income: 4 - 8 million VND/month (depending on company policies, so be sure to ask during your interview).

5. Cashier (Income: 4 - 10 million VND/month)
Here’s another job opportunity for those with little experience and no university degree. A cashier position often involves shift work, requiring attention to detail, quick thinking, and energy.
If you take a quick look at job boards or visit cafes and retail shops, you’ll easily find cashier positions available. It’s not too difficult to get hired, but the turnover rate is high because mistakes in this role can cost companies money without clear explanations.
Common errors among inexperienced cashiers include cash discrepancies, forgetting to charge customers, or even miscalculating. That’s why carefulness is the key to succeeding in this job. While you can quickly learn how to operate cash registers and software, the meticulousness required is something you need to develop over time.
Some companies may see potential in you and invest in training you to become a professional cashier, though this often comes with a commitment to stay long-term. However, many companies will quickly let you go after just a few trial days if you can’t manage cash properly, especially if you end a shift short without knowing why.
Similar to warehouse staff, some cashier roles offer a “responsibility bonus,” and ethical conduct is a crucial quality employers carefully evaluate. After all, cashiers handle the company’s cash flow regularly, so trustworthiness is essential. If you perform well and stay loyal, opportunities to move up to managerial positions will open up.
Expected income: 4 - 10 million VND/month (but be careful not to incur penalties or losses as that can quickly eat into your salary).

6. Graphic Design Staff (Income 5 - 20 million VND/month)
This job is perfect for those with a flair for graphic design. You should be proficient with software like Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, etc. Having a good eye for art and design will significantly help when applying for jobs in this field.
Companies hiring graphic designers are often willing to pay well for quality talent, as they know it’s well worth the investment. If you’ve had a passion for design since high school and have been exposed to it early, you can easily land a graphic design job by the age of 19 or 20.
However, to reach the “thousand-dollar-a-month” level, you’ll need to attend professional courses, earn certifications in graphic design, and produce high-quality work that demonstrates your skills. When you reach that level, large companies will be eager to hire you, and your compensation will be commensurate with your abilities. Your work will hold the same value as a university degree in a job search, as recruiters will care more about: what you’ve created and which products prove your expertise, rather than what you’ve studied. Language skills are also essential if you aim to work for international companies.
Income: 5 - 20 million VND/month (possibly more if you have the experience to work for foreign companies)

7. Professional Security Staff (Income 5 - 15 million VND/month)
If you’re physically fit and can handle irregular working hours, a position as a security guard might be a great fit for you. Security companies are continuously hiring due to the high demand for guards at buildings, banks, supermarkets, and retail shops.
This role requires good health, discipline, and the ability to manage a “night shift” lifestyle. Professional security firms often provide martial arts and emergency response training to enhance the skills of their staff. Besides the official salary, some companies offer additional income through services like parking management for clients or offices with specific needs.
Discipline is crucial, especially for those guarding buildings, banks, or valuable assets, particularly during the night shift. If you’re undisciplined—leaving your post to hang out, drink, or meet friends—and something happens to the assets you’re protecting, you’ll be held accountable and face severe consequences. Your record could also be negatively affected, making it harder to find work in the future. The best advice is to avoid abandoning your post or drinking excessively while on duty. If you need rest, it’s better to alternate shifts with a colleague to ensure the property is always watched over.
With time and effort, companies may promote you to team leader or offer more responsibility with higher income, and you may even transition to office positions if you show the right skills. You’ll also receive bonuses for working on holidays or special events. Success in this career depends on your dedication.
Expected income: 5 - 15 million VND/month (depending on the company, benefits, and agreements)

8. Yoga Instructor (Income 4 - 30 million VND/month)
Yoga instructor is a rapidly growing profession today. It offers flexibility in scheduling, a good income, and a lifestyle focused on peace and health, making it an ideal job for many.
If you’re considering a career like this, here are 6 reasons why you should choose yoga teaching:
- Flexible schedule: One of the key features of being a yoga instructor is that you don’t need to work a traditional 8-hour day. You’ll teach during specific hours at a studio or based on client availability. The rest of your time can be spent practicing, learning new techniques, or doing whatever else you enjoy.
- Good income: A beginner yoga instructor can earn between 120,000 - 150,000 VND per hour. Experienced instructors make 300,000 - 800,000 VND per hour. If you teach foreign clients, your hourly rate can range from 40 to 80 USD. Imagine teaching 3 classes a day; your monthly income could range from 25 to 28 million VND. If you’re particularly diligent, you could earn up to 35-40 million VND per month. Sounds ideal, doesn’t it?
- Health and wellness: This profession offers something that few other jobs can – inner peace and health, both for yourself and your students. Being a yoga instructor encourages a positive lifestyle, promoting physical well-being for you, your family, and your community. If you observe experienced yogis, you’ll notice they maintain a youthful appearance and calm demeanor, always smiling because they live a life of positivity and mindfulness.
- Yoga instruction is a special career that doesn’t require a university degree; what’s needed is a loving heart, a desire to serve, and a passion for learning. In addition, persistence in practice is crucial to truly understanding your body, mastering complex poses, and quickly identifying issues with your students’ form. Your personal practice becomes your teaching tool.

9. Dancer (Income 5 - 20 million VND/month)
As society evolves, new professions are emerging, many of which have been introduced to Vietnam. One such profession is dancing, which has garnered increasing attention from young people today.
You don’t need a university or college degree for this profession, but becoming a professional dancer is not simple. Besides natural talent, you also need to master various fundamental techniques. Being a dancer isn’t as easy as simply performing on stage. To deliver stunning performances, you must invest countless hours practicing with others, going through different preparation stages.
It takes years of hard training and competing in tough auditions to become a professional dancer. So, as you can see, being a dancer is not as easy as many people think.

10. Real Estate Business (Income 4 - 100 million VND/month)
Real estate brokerage has become a high-demand profession in recent years due to its attractive income, the booming real estate market, and a focus on soft skills rather than formal education or degrees.
Entering this profession offers many benefits:
- No degree required for job opportunities. The national real estate market is steadily growing, with a wide range of products being diversified and invested in. Real estate trading platforms are springing up rapidly, which increases the demand for brokers. It’s relatively easy to find work in real estate, and many young, inexperienced brokers can start in the field. Career advancement opportunities are abundant for those who are dedicated to the profession.
- High earnings potential. In addition to a base salary, brokers earn commission from successful sales, often between 2–5% of the property value. Real estate transactions typically involve high-value properties, making the commissions quite lucrative. With the right skills, achieving financial success in this field is entirely possible.
- Flexible and dynamic work environment. If you enjoy being active and dislike being stuck behind a desk, real estate brokerage could be ideal for you. As a broker, you're not confined to an office but instead travel to various locations, meeting clients, partners, and media. The more you travel, the more you learn, gaining new skills along the way. The job also offers flexible working hours, making it a popular choice for side-income seekers.
- Expanding professional networks. Real estate clients come from diverse sectors, which gives you an opportunity to broaden your professional connections. Maintaining these relationships can help you build a strong, long-term client base.

11. Flight Attendant (Income 8 - 20 million VND/month)
If you're looking for career options that don't require a degree, becoming a flight attendant is an ideal choice. With an income ranging from 18 – 20 million VND per month, this profession is one of the most sought-after, offering high potential for career advancement. The job involves frequent travel, provides opportunities to explore various locations, and offers a high salary, but it also comes with significant pressure.
Currently, in Vietnam, the Aviation Academy is the main institution providing training for aviation personnel, but there is no long-term specialized course for flight attendants. Most flight attendant training programs are organized by airlines themselves, requiring only a high school diploma and specific language and appearance criteria.
The requirements for becoming a flight attendant vary by airline, but they are generally assessed based on the airline’s unique characteristics and style. Being a flight attendant might seem glamorous, but the reality is quite different. You must endure considerable pressure, with each attendant expected to complete four domestic flights per day. Rest periods are short, making the job quite exhausting.
To become a flight attendant, applicants must submit their application and undergo several strict selection rounds.

12. Restaurant Manager (Income 9 - 20 million VND/month)
The restaurant industry, including restaurant chains, is a thriving sector that revolves around the core principle of providing customers with the most comfortable, enjoyable, and satisfying experiences with each service they encounter. To create a unified atmosphere that embodies the industry's focus on 'hospitality,' each department within the restaurant must work closely and efficiently, guided by the leadership of the manager. The role of the manager has become increasingly crucial as they significantly contribute to the success of the restaurant and the hotel business as a whole.
Currently, after gaining some experience and skills, you can easily land a job in restaurants with a monthly income ranging from 7 – 9 million VND, with opportunities for advancement to supervisory and managerial positions. Notably, there is a significant shortage of mid-level and senior management personnel in the restaurant industry, with salaries ranging from 10 – 20 million VND per month (excluding bonuses).
The restaurant industry offers diverse training opportunities, so young people can pursue not only university education but also vocational colleges, technical schools, or short- and long-term courses tailored to individual needs and capabilities.

13. Taxi Driver Profession (Income 6-15 million VND/month)
For many, this might be the first career that comes to mind when they don't have a university degree. Let me emphasize: you still need to LEARN, but not in the traditional 3-4 semesters in a classroom like at university. So, what should you study to become a skilled and high-earning taxi driver?
First, you need to have a B2 driving license or higher. You’ll need to invest time in learning to drive a car and passing the test to obtain your B2 license. This license is a necessary requirement to work as a taxi driver.
The B2 driving license allows you to drive cars with 4-9 seats for commercial transportation (family cars, company cars, taxis, etc.)
Next, you should research and get familiar with the taxi companies operating in your area. Take some time to look for job openings; if you know someone who works at a specific company, it’s even better. You'll need to hone other skills that can impress employers, such as being familiar with the streets in your city, quick problem-solving skills, and knowing a foreign language (this is important because many foreign passengers use taxis, and you could earn tips from them). Additionally, be aware of the potential risks involved in this profession, such as traffic accidents, dealing with drunk customers who might refuse to pay, or getting fined for traffic violations.
If you enjoy the job, you can stick with it for many years, or save up to start your own business. Purchasing a car and driving for services like Uber or Grab is also a good option if you no longer want to work for a taxi company.
Expected income: 6-15 million VND/month (income varies based on the company, your experience, benefits, contracts, type of car, and expenses).

14. Direct Sales Staff (Income 3 million VND/month - No limit)
Direct sales is a common profession and relatively easy to get into, especially for those without a university degree. However, it’s a job that’s often considered both "Easy and Hard".
Easy because there are countless job openings for sales positions available both online and posted outside stores and supermarkets. The basic requirements are not difficult: a pleasant appearance, good communication skills, quick reflexes, energy, honesty, and the ability to control emotions. Product knowledge can also give you an edge over other candidates. Many stores are willing to hire employees without prior knowledge and provide training, as long as they meet the other basic requirements.
Hard because staying in this job can be tough. A single outburst at a customer can end your career at that store immediately. Retail jobs have a high turnover rate because they demand many skills, and you must continuously improve yourself to remain in the position.
Many new workers enter the field with the mindset that they won’t stay long. This attitude is a major mistake and can lead to losing your job before you’ve gained any experience. The advice is to push through the probation period, even if you're uncertain about staying long-term, to understand whether the working environment suits you. If it doesn’t, it’s better to politely inform the company that you’ll be leaving and thank them for the opportunity. This way, they won’t waste resources training you, and you won’t be stuck in an unsatisfactory job, benefiting both sides.
We don't recommend spending your entire life working as a retail sales employee earning just 3 million VND per month. Work on improving your skills every day, show the company your commitment to the job, and opportunities for promotion into a managerial role will come. If you have plans to start your own business, save money, gain product knowledge, build experience in handling situations, and improve all aspects of sales. A university degree will hardly matter anymore. But let me stress once again: you must always continue learning.
Expected income: 3 million - no limit (depends on base salary, commission, sales targets, holiday bonuses, etc.)

15. Online Sales Representative (Income 3 million VND/month - No limit)
Yes, this is still a sales position, but instead of interacting directly with customers, you'll engage through common online channels such as hotlines, call centers, live chat, Facebook, Zalo, and more.
Like traditional sales, this role doesn't require a university degree. The key qualifications needed to be hired as an online sales representative include basic knowledge of the internet and social media, proficiency in basic computer skills, and clear communication for handling call center duties. Additional skills that can be developed to enhance your performance include persuading customers over the phone, offering clear and easy-to-understand advice, reacting quickly to situations, and possibly learning a foreign language (depending on the product or industry). Your employer can train you on product knowledge by providing you with hands-on experience during an initial training period.
Your earnings are limitless if you excel in online sales and drive significant revenue for the company. You may propose an increase in commission rates or even a higher salary contract once you prove your capabilities. It’s also beneficial to participate in Telesales training courses (selling via phone) or social media sales training to improve your skills and boost your confidence in interviews with any company.
As mentioned, it's not advisable to stay in this role forever without growth. There are many opportunities for advancement such as becoming an Online Sales Team Leader, Online Sales Manager, or even starting your own online shop. Expected income: 3 million VND, unlimited potential.
