1. Come to My Hometown
Will you come to Thanh Hoa with me?
Why do you linger in your heart so long?
Come to me, and you will see
The once-poor homeland has changed a lot now.
Together, let's watch the summer sunset by the sea,
The golden rice fields by the dike, smooth and vast.
The love for this land and its people is rare to find.
Come back, let's weave our old dreams once more.
Come now, are you ready?
I need to tell my parents
About us, and what to do next,
Because they've been waiting for so long.
Come to me, and you’ll be my husband,
Together, we will plant new rice on these fields.
The green fields will grow, full of life and promise,
And our love will bloom, waiting for this moment.
Come, let’s hold hands tight,
And build our homeland, making it better every day.
Both of us will return to the waiting shore,
A peaceful place full of hopes and dreams.
Then, by each other's side, the pain will be gone,
Because the distance has made us long for each other.
My love, where are you now?
Will you come to Thanh Hoa with me?

2. Will You Come Back?
Will you return to Thanh Hoa with me?
Where the Hàm Rồng Bridge stands tall,
Having endured the trials of war, still unbroken,
In this humble land, strong hearts have grown.
The echoes of war fade, but the memories remain,
The Sầm Sơn beach with its iconic twin rocks,
A timeless symbol of love between a man and a woman,
Reminding us to cherish love forevermore.
The summer sea welcomes visitors from all walks of life,
To the sacred Cá Thần Stream in Cẩm Lương, Bá Thước,
Letting those far away fulfill their deepest wishes,
Will you come back? Will you return with me?
The fields of green stretch far and wide,
To my hometown of Vĩnh Lộc, by the ancient Hồ Dynasty ruins,
Thanh Hóa, a land of heroes, with two great cities,
And I will take you on a walk to Bến En.
Come with me, just once, and you'll want to return,
Then I'll hold you to your promise,
My hometown, with all its beauty and charm,
Will you return, my dear... my poetic muse?

3. Come Visit My Hometown, Thanh Hóa
If you ever visit my hometown, Thanh Hóa,
We’ll take a stroll together along the shores of Sầm Sơn,
Sitting side by side, listening to the sea sing,
And draw our love in the sands, forever in our hearts.
It's not a dream or mere fantasy,
If you visit just once, you'll see for yourself...
The people of my hometown, with hearts so pure and warm,
Simpler than most, but filled with deep affection.
Each morning, we’ll greet the sunrise together,
Letting our spirits float along the Mã River’s flow,
The weather here may sometimes be harsh,
But the love of the people is always kind and true.

4. Thanh Hóa, Land of Love
Sending my love back to Thanh Hóa,
A little piece of my heart, wrapped in poetry,
Its landscapes are dreams brought to life,
And the local delicacies are still cherished to this day.
Thanh Hóa keeps its traditions alive,
With its deep, rich culture spreading through the countryside,
In the evenings, the cranes soar back home,
By the peaceful Mã River, along the gentle dikes.
As summer arrives, the bonds of love grow stronger,
Sầm Sơn beach has enchanted many,
The blue sea, the sandy shores, with waves embracing,
All join in harmony, washing away sorrow and pain.
Then we head up to the Cẩm Thuỷ mountains,
Taking in the breathtaking beauty of the land,
Where the Cá Thần fish thrive and multiply,
In the quiet valleys of Cẩm Lương, a sanctuary of nature.
Let’s not forget the historic Vĩnh Lộc Road,
Where the ancient Hồ Dynasty’s castle stands tall,
Still proud and strong after a hundred years,
The ancient fortress, a majestic landmark for all.
Though war tried to tear it apart,
The Hàm Rồng Bridge stood proud and defiant,
Sending supplies to our soldiers,
In victory, we stand tall with pride.
And from that time, a new spirit was born,
Feeding the people, giving strength to the land,
The famous Nem Chua and Rau Má,
Flavors that carry the essence of Thanh Hóa’s soul.
Since then, the province has thrived,
With new projects rising in every direction,
The Lê Lợi statue stands firm and proud,
Our people grow strong, united in heart and purpose.
And there are countless stories of history,
Too many to share in just one tale,
Come quickly, come now,
Visit my hometown, Thanh Hóa will welcome you with open arms!

With the Mã River flowing endlessly,
Helping to enrich the soil,
Stirring fond memories for those far from home.
I return to Thanh Hóa, my land,
Where the Hồ Dynasty's castle endures through time,
And there, the Giáng Temple remains serene,
Its timeless beauty unchanged through the centuries.
I return to my hometown, reluctant to leave,
To escape the noise of the busy city streets,
To take a swim in the river’s cool embrace,
Sitting with you, gazing at the tranquil fields.

With their rifles, forced the enemy to retreat,
In their old age, their spirit soared high,
And even the American planes had to bow in defeat.
Stop for a moment in the land of two kings,
Where Thọ Xuân birthed wise rulers,
Where the history of twelve rebellions was settled,
And the legacy of the Lê Dynasty remains.
Lê Lợi swore his oath under the moonlight,
The hero dressed in simple clothes, carrying a red flag,
And Lê Lai, with wisdom and courage,
Disguised as a commoner, saving his king.

While the Later Lê Dynasty ended tyranny with brilliance,
Breaking the chains of Northern domination,
The marks of Lam Kinh still echo in history.

The sound of ancient cannons once defeated invaders,
And the pages of history were written with glory.

Where nature’s beauty astonishes the soul,
With schools of fish swimming freely,
And visitors come to admire the magic of the place.

Where Thạch Thành’s smoke rises in the autumn sky,
Where the fields were once filled with enemies,

Where the evening breeze offers a sweet embrace,
Listen to the ocean’s song day and night,

Where Từ Thức ascended to the heavens,
Where the ancient stories live on,
And the past blends with the present.

Where Thiệu Đô and Thiệu Hoá have become legends,
And I’ve waited for you, my love,

In Hậu Lộc, where the revolution once began,
And wonder where Mẹ’s spirit resides now.
The taste of our special dishes,
Try the famous Nem Chua, a gift to share,
It’s so delicious, you’ll sigh in delight,
The perfect taste of Thanh Hóa, your heart will cherish.
Save some for later, to remember this place,
The flavor will stay with you forever,
Don’t forget to grab a piece of Bánh Gai,
It may look dark, but it’s sweet and satisfying.
Visit Thiệu Tân, where the ancient stones lie,
Where human life began in the dawn of time,

9. Coming to Thanh Hóa
I visited your hometown, Thanh Hóa,
During the heavy rains that followed the storm,
The sky shifting between sunshine and rain,
The Mã River rising above the flood warning level.
Even in the rain, vehicles kept moving,
The Hàm Rồng Bridge still bustling with trains,
Peering through the window, I admired my homeland,
The fields lush with rice, the streets adorned with flags and flowers.
This is it, Thanh Hóa, my homeland,
Can you hear the distant rhythm of the folk song?
Land of Lam Kinh, a place I hold dear,
My heart stirs with emotions, a little anxious.
The rain still falls, and the winds blow fiercely,
The rice ripens, and many are hurriedly harvesting,
The water level rises, adding to the unease,
The harvest carried in, drenched in worries.
I meet old friends who’ve waited so long,
We raise a glass, exchanging friendly greetings,
Thanh Hóa, this is my first visit,
Though I haven’t fully explored it yet, my love for it begins here.
Why is it so hard to say goodbye?
The sky is gloomy, and the rain pours heavily,
So we promise to meet again soon,
You’ll welcome me, and I’ll greet you with joy.

10. Greetings to Thanh Hóa
I once journeyed through the land of Thanh Hóa,
Passing through Bỉm Sơn, where the limestone mountains rise,
At Đò Lèn, where the river alternates between high and low,
Stopping in Hà Trung, and then to the great Thanh district.
Lam Sơn, where the sugarcane fields stretch so green,
Lam Kinh, with the ancient echoes of the capital still lingering,
Riding quickly through Cẩm Thuỷ, Bá Thước,
And arriving at the borders of Quan Sơn, where we are neighbors with Laos.
Along the way, I encountered exquisite delicacies,
The women of the mountains, graceful and delicate, bathing in the streams,
Life seemed to drift away, lost in this ethereal land,
The most beautiful celestial maiden descending to the mortal realm.
At Ngọc Lặc, I became enchanted by the sacred fish,
The remains of the Hồ dynasty, where stone walls and earth still stand,
Now calm and peaceful, a fertile and spiritual land for generations to come.
In Hoằng Hóa, the sky blazes red with chili peppers,
At Hậu Lộc, the gates are filled with fresh seafood,
It’s the time of the monsoon winds,
Which carry the flavors of roasted meats from the sea.
Leaving the city, I headed straight to Xương Quảng,
Where ponds and marshes stretch on both sides,
In Tĩnh Gia, I stopped at a quiet tavern,
Sipping the strong wine, feeling the depth of Thanh Hóa’s spirit.
Passing through Đông Sơn, I soon arrived,
Thọ Xuân was just a fleeting sight,
At Hàm Rồng, I paused for a moment,
The song of the Mã River resonated deep within me.
Poetry: Lãng Du Khách

11. Visiting Thanh Hóa
Come back to Thanh Hóa, my dear,
My homeland, so beautiful and dear,
Fly by plane, and see the fields of Ba Chạ,
With endless stretches of rice, where the storks fly.
Visit Lam Sơn, and the revived capital,
Where the tombs of Kings Lê Lợi, Thái Tông, and Thánh Tông remain,
The Lê Hoàn Temple, a royal playground from Đại Việt’s time.
The oil refinery in Nghi Sơn, a legacy of industry, standing tall.
The ancient stone walls of the Hồ Dynasty, now a world heritage site,
With the Hàm Rồng Bridge, famed far and wide for its history.
Let’s remember the heroic acts of sister Tuyển,
Who sacrificed herself for the country’s cause, carrying hundreds of pounds of ammunition.
Heading west to Bù Dinh Mountain,
Where Lê Lai risked his life to save the king,
And to the wind-swept lakes of Thường Xuân,
Where the mighty river flows and the floodgates open.
Visit the Vọng Phu Stone, a symbol of waiting for a beloved husband,
And the Độc Cước Temple, a sacred place of worship.
The Trống Mái rocks, with the legend of the fairy, stand proudly in Sầm Sơn.
We’ll go to Bến En, with its beautiful lake,
Like Hạ Long Bay, tucked away in the mountains,
Where sacred rituals are performed at Am Tiêm’s sacred site,
And the house of Mother Tơm in Hậu Lộc, where Tố Hữu’s soul was nurtured.
In Nga Sơn, you’ll understand the ancient legends,
From the tales of Từ Thức to An Tiêm, with their rich history.
In Cẩm Lương, you’ll see the famous Sacred Fish swim,
Just like the mountains of Pù Luông and Sa Pa.
We’ll visit Thiệu Đô and its historical treasures,
From Đông Sơn’s ancient artifacts to bronze tools.
I’ll take you on a journey through the forests, fields, and seas,
Discovering the mysteries of this land, and soon, you’ll fall in love with Thanh Hóa.

12. Thanh's Homeland
How I love the homeland of Thanh Hóa,
The fertile land, covered in lush green.
The aroma of the rice fields fills the air,
Always alive with the rhythm of a love song.
I cherish this homeland, our home so dear,
Where pride and love always grow stronger,
With bonds that make the heart grow fonder,
And memories that stay with me when I’m far away.
The Hàm Rồng Bridge, a symbol of victory,
Still echoes, reaching high into the sky,
The pine forests stretch out, a green legacy,
Forever proud of the battles they fought.
Oh, my Thanh Hóa, I carry you in my heart,
The red flowers bloom, a vibrant display,
As they dance with the wind, brightening the day,
Always with us, singing a joyful tune.
My homeland has blossomed, proud and new,
The countryside thrives, with roads that stretch wide,
With a life that continues to grow, side by side,
And the sound of the drums of Thanh Hóa fills the air.

13. Thanh Hóa, My Homeland
Arriving in Thanh Hóa, I feel a strange awe,
Nature’s beauty unfolds, capturing my soul.
The clear stream flows, dropping leaves in its path,
And Cẩm Thủy’s sacred fish await every traveler.
The ancient Hồ Dynasty capital stands proud in Thanh,
The stone slabs of the city walls still guard its gates,
Enduring through time with unshakable strength,
Holding the history of a land of heroes.
The Mã River, gentle and serene, whispers poetry,
The Hàm Rồng Bridge connects the land with pride,
The terraced fields, a legacy of tradition,
Pù Luông’s towering beauty, a sight to behold,
The untouched valley of Kho Mường calls for peace,
The hills curve, golden rice swaying in the breeze,
Relaxing and playing at the Học Đường camp,
The warm hospitality of the local people, full of love.
Sầm Sơn Beach is a place of wonder,
The tiny boats cut through the waves,
The soft white sand, with waves that greet,
Fishermen bringing in fresh catches from the sea.
Bến En, a hidden paradise like Ha Long Bay,
Where beautiful girls laugh shyly on boats,
Thanh Hóa is a destination yet to be discovered,
Where one can enjoy nature and feel right at home.
Poetry: Thái Quốc Sử

14. Come to Thanh Hóa, My Love
The Hàm Rồng Bridge, a legend of heroism,
A time of bombings and fierce battlefields,
Lam Kinh’s radiant glory in the blue history,
This revolutionary homeland, known far and wide.
The ancient Hồ Dynasty’s citadel still stands proud,
A beacon of Vietnam’s legacy from long ago.
Pù Luông, with winds that dance through the mist,
The green mountains and silver waterfalls, hidden in the clouds.
Wandering footsteps take me far and wide,
I visit Cẩm Thủy and the sacred fish cave,
Down to the sea, I travel to Sầm Sơn,
The central coast with its cool breeze and distant waves.
The scenic beauty of this homeland,
The soul of the Mã River, at dusk, lingers in my heart,
Anyone who comes here will always remember,
A land rich in spirit, with heroes born from its soil.

15. Come to Thanh Hóa, My Homeland
Will you come to Thanh Hóa, My Homeland?
With the lush green mangrove forests and vast fields,
Where the sound of laughter and folk songs fills the air,
Will you come to Thanh Hóa, my love?
With the sugarcane groves and the Mã River’s flow,
And the people who built it all,
The Hàm Rồng Bridge, the heroic Mã River.
Come with me, I will take you along,
To learn the history of great heroes,
From Lê Lợi, Quang Trung, to Bà Triệu,
Who shaped Thanh Hóa into a land of triumphs.
Let me show you the West, where you’ll find
The ancient Hồ Dynasty citadel at Vĩnh Lộc,
Where the legacy of unity was built long ago.
Through Cẩm Thủy, we’ll stop by the sacred Fish Stream at Cẩm Lương,
Where you’ll meet the girl who works under the sun and stars,
Her eyes longing for the man on the Đọ Mountain.
Oh, how beautiful is our homeland, my love!
Let’s visit the heroic Quân Bridge with its Lê Mã Lương history,
I’ll show you the roads across Nga Sơn, where tales of An Tiêm await.

And then we’ll head to Sầm Sơn, where the beach’s soul is at peace.
We’ll enjoy the serenity of the crystal-clear waters,
Among the hardworking people who make their living from the sea,
And witness love stories carved into the hills.
The land of Thanh Hóa stretches far and wide,
From the Eastern Sea to Laos,
With a people who work tirelessly for every victory.
If you come to Thanh Hóa, you’ll find the sweetness of Lam Sơn sugarcane,
The path lined with the Tùng Dương trees,

Where the fragrance of the land will fill your heart,
And tomorrow we’ll find happiness together,
As I wait for you, my love.
