SPRING DREAMS

I wish to be the drifting cloud,
Flying through the windswept sky.
Spring arrives and pauses at my doorstep,
Admiring the flowers as they bloom.

I wish to be a drop of dew,
Rolling down a soft rose petal,
Infusing the color of love with its purple hue,
Spending a lifetime with it, full of devotion.

Today, my heart feels suddenly empty,
Looking towards the horizon, I yearn even more.
The vast ocean separates us,
Who would let the day pass by unnoticed?

The evening rain falls, heavy and deep,
Flowing through the bond of old friends,
Seeping into the soul of the artist,
Enchanted by the flavor of love.

For my heart to find warmth and solace.

What if, in times of weakness,

EVERLASTING LOVE FOR MY TEACHER

I feel my heart stir when I hear the drum beat,
And tears begin to fall in two bitter streams.
With light steps, I seek a quiet place,
The voice of that day, teacher! It never fades away.

The boatman takes me toward the future,
While the waves relentlessly rage and crash.
My mind awakens, urging me to rise,
Planting seeds, sowing dreams with my hands.

Three long years, more than mere verses,
The lessons never once fell asleep.
The lesson plan shines brightly with each word,
A lifetime of integrity, unwavering and true.

Now far away, I suddenly feel a deep yearning,
Blaming the passing season, how swiftly it has gone.
The days of the white uniform meant everything to me,
For with a golden heart, my love for my teacher will last forever.

HOME SWEET HOME!

Fifty years have passed since I left,
Today I return, yet forget the house as I read poetry.
It feels real, yet seems like a dream,
The old riverbank remains, still here today.

In the past, the waters were full,
Now, though shallow, this is still the river.
The corn fields bloom as before,
Still marking the boundary by the creek’s flow.

It is still the Rộ River, the river of home,
That brings back memories of my childhood.
Those far from home continue to dream,
That the homeland is where they wait for their return.

Loneliness still follows the familiar path I walk.
Sadness fills the dike’s length,
Light drizzle weaves around me, with rain flying everywhere.

Wandering like a drunken soul,
I stumble through the old road, bitterness trailing behind.
The path of life, carried by winds of passion,
My spirit, still lost in a sea of verses.

I ask the heavens to fulfill my dream,
Let love settle in the heart of this verse.
The cluttered banks of the Red River,

If seasoned just right, the dish will be sweet,
But if overdone, the bitterness will stay with us forever.

Just ask to be a ray of sunshine falling in the evening,
Soft as the water flowing back to its roots.
Sometimes rolling on a thousand wings of wind,

Lying still, sweet dreams on the rosy lips of life,

THE OLD DAYS

The innocent, carefree childhood,
Pure and untainted, dreaming of rosy futures.

Parents and grandparents, siblings so dear,
Peacefully wrapped in love and warmth.

Years pass by, but the memories stay,
The old days, neither rain nor shine can erase.

Now the children bloom, their lives unfold,
And the fond memories softly echo the old man’s words.

Homeland, boundless with love and duty,
Near and far, our hearts always yearn, day by day.

How could I forget the water spinach soup,
The banana groves and the paths along the hedges?

THE DREAM OF LIFE

The river cradles the water, swaying gently,
The boat carries passengers through sunshine, rain, joy, and sorrow.
It’s morning one moment, and evening the next.
Days pass quickly, and months slip away.

How long can one live?
Dreams are wished, hopes are cast, oh, beloved one.
With two hands, we embrace the sky,
But does the story of Chang'e ever become a reality?

To love deeply, beyond reason,
To be swept away by love's endless embrace!

To protect our borders, our homeland forever.

A DREAM

The green hair leans over the white paper,
You write the word 'goal' as though composing a love letter.

The spring horizon resembles the vast sea,
Youth is the sail, catching the winds of a thousand waves.

Across the oceans, heading toward the future,
No storm or hardship can overwhelm a dream.

The life I envision for tomorrow, I already see today,
In every word, every line glowing with brilliance:

The smoke from factories stretches, waving its arms,
Lovers in the parks, students in new schoolyards blooming with flowers.

The lively village roads resound with the rhythm of wooden clogs,
Then come cooperatives, and vast agricultural fields.
The plows compete with time itself.

Oh, the future is like a golden rice field,
My dream is a small rice grain,
I am the stretch of railway on a thousand kilometers of track,
Heading south, linking the pulse of the homeland.

On the train, heavy with love,
I will sing the song of my country,
My voice joining in the lullaby of the nation,
Honoring today while dreaming of tomorrow.

Who can understand why my heart is so full of joy,
Urging my hand to write passionately:

"I willingly join the volunteer army,
Surpassing five years to build a life of spring."
