1. Poem: Gentle Breeze - Nguyễn Lan Hương
Gentle Breeze
Author: Nguyễn Lan Hương
The autumn returns with the soft breeze
The air turns chilly, as the wind sweeps through the streets
As I walk, my heart suddenly feels so cold!
The autumn moon seems to have lost half of its glow?
This season in Hanoi, golden leaves cover the ground
Milk flowers fall gently, scattered in the street corners
The scent of young rice fills the air, stirring endless memories
Autumn visits the porch, while chrysanthemums bloom with a golden hue.
With the arrival of the breeze,
The winds announce the change of seasons
We gather the fallen leaves, counting the years
Suddenly absent-minded, sometimes frustrated, sometimes sulking
Leaving others lost in the golden moonlight.
September feels suddenly melancholy
The rain drops like bursting bubbles
Quietly, I blend with autumn on the streets,
Tiptoeing to avoid stepping on the fallen leaves,
The breeze has arrived
And I wait for autumn's full embrace...

2. Poem: Autumn Reflections - Dong Van Thanh
AUTUMN REFLECTIONS
Author: Dong Van Thanh
What does autumn hold... why does my soul feel so light
As though it melts into the calm mist
My footsteps trace the white smoke's path
And I follow you... the rain embraces the hazy clouds.
The dawn comes, a song calls the autumn sun
The breeze hums, waves ripple softly
The lake mirrors the clouds, dancing with the morning light
Where are you, lost in the salty sea of life?
Autumn is magical... shy, "the curve of a slender waist!"
Autumn lingers, the breeze tousles my hair
The golden autumn sun reflects your graceful form
Autumn beside you, a burning thirst within me.
This autumn is so special... don't you think?
Autumn meets every waiting path
Autumn captures the smile of your lips
Autumn bathes the grass with the fragrance of dew.
Autumn lingers... bidding farewell every evening
Whether storms rise or rain falls cold
I still see the sky's blue with happiness
The autumn dock is alive with excitement when we’re together.

3. Poem: Autumn Scent - Dinh Khai
AUTUMN SCENT
Author: Dinh Khai
Golden leaves flutter, falling along the narrow alley
The sky is full of clouds, yet no rain falls
The air is calm and peaceful
Autumn has arrived.
A gentle fragrance drifts along the street
The scent of Vong village's green rice cakes, do you still remember?
Do you recall the days when we walked hand in hand
Stopping by the street corner?
Where the baskets of green rice cakes invited us to linger.
We bought a pack of fragrant rice cakes wrapped in lotus leaves
As we strolled together through the cool autumn afternoon
The scent of rice cakes – the fragrance of autumn filled the air
Do you still remember, my dear?

4. The Poem
A MELANCHOLIC AUTUMN
By Phan Thu Hà
Oh, this morning feels so odd!
It seems that autumn has arrived,
Hiding quietly within the leaves,
White clouds drift softly through the sky.
The autumn lake gleams emerald green,
The autumn sunlight weaves golden threads.
The rice fields have moved beyond their youth,
The scent of grass dances in the breeze.
You hear the knock of autumn at the door,
And the whispers of autumn’s soft voice.
The autumn breeze is light and sweet,
Dewy droplets gently brush your cheeks.
Autumn drenched in golden chrysanthemums,
Sending its warmest, tender love.
Softly, autumn asks:
"Do you still remember autumn?"
Countless autumns have passed,
Through distant, misty lands.
As you walk beside me, so gently,
Autumn still lingers, full of passion.

5. Poem: Autumn and Me - Nguyễn Thành Lợi
AUTUMN AND ME
Poem by: Nguyễn Thành Lợi
In the clear morning of autumn,
Dew moistens the green lotus leaves.
Alone, I walk to class,
My lotus-scented footsteps swift and light.
In the golden noon of autumn, when class ends,
The sun fills the air, and my heart flutters.
Little children chirp happily,
While the teacher’s voice calls to them like a bird.
In the quiet afternoon, autumn falls,
I sit still by the window,
My lesson plans filled with dreams!
Watching the golden light pour through the window,
In the cool evening, my lips feel the chill!
Wind, please do not touch my face,
I’m grading papers, ready for tomorrow!...
The wind gently moves the tamarind tree’s branches!...
The autumn night fades in the mist,
Restless, the lotus remembers and yearns,
The sweet scent of the green sticky rice,
Bringing it to you on your birthday.

6. Poem: The First Love of Autumn - Phạm Hồng Giang
THE FIRST LOVE OF AUTUMN
Author: Phạm Hồng Giang
The love poem I wrote on the first autumn day
Gentle, like a mother's lullaby
A dry leaf stirs, leaning softly,
A sunbeam gently falls along your path.
The love poem I wrote is filled with passion
The sound of a flute drifts across a peaceful village
The scent of fresh green sticky rice, freshly pounded by my father,
Spreads in the evening breeze by the riverside.
The love poem I wrote is full of tender longing
Every word carries a deep message
Autumn teases with the arrival of late summer
The yellow chrysanthemum waits for the monsoon’s touch.
The love poem I wrote is unfinished
As the evening descends, the colors fade into a wistful memory
Oh autumn, is this fate and destiny?
Silently, this unfinished love lingers in the distance.
The love poem I wrote just last night
Still sways...
Fades away...
Waiting for someone!

7. Poem: Autumn Comes - Đỗ Thị Phương Lan
AUTUMN COMES
Author: Đỗ Thị Phương Lan
Do you see autumn arriving on the street?
The fragrance of milk flowers wafts through the air
The afternoon sunlight dances in the trees
The green leaves are beginning to shift colors.
Do you hear autumn already in the streets?
The wind rustles, playing with the golden leaves
Birds call to one another, flying in clusters
Heading south to escape the chill, awaiting the arrival of spring.
Do you hear the autumn wind whisper softly?
If you love each other, hold on tight
Be together until the silver hair appears
Don’t let go... autumn’s return makes us fall deeper in love...
Don’t let go... autumn’s return makes us fall deeper...

8. Poem: Autumn Night in Hanoi - Bùi Thế Uyên
AUTUMN NIGHT IN HANOI
By: Bùi Thế Uyên
In the autumn night, Hanoi is cold without you
Or is it still the rain, adding to the lingering sorrow
The corner of our memories still feels romantic
Yearning for you with a burning kiss.
On the street at night, footsteps echo in solitude
The empty bench, leaves falling silently
The scent of autumn lingers gently
Heavy with the memories of a time long past.
Hanoi, oh, autumn’s sunlight is faint
The old street seems so wide now
Our meeting place, the sunset slipping through the leaves
The golden streetlights, glowing with longing and anticipation.
The streets this afternoon wait for the coming winter
Do you know? Someone is thinking of you
The thin moon hangs, its golden light breaking apart
Looking for stars to spark the flame of love.
I’m now like the wind from a distant land
Searching for our old spot, the street filled with melancholy
I still walk, while you wait, unyielding
The street cries out for me, longing in the rain...

9. Poem: Farewell Autumn - Huỳnh Thanh Thảo
FAREWELL AUTUMN
By: Huỳnh Thanh Thảo
My eyes, lost in search of the red phoenix flowers
I suddenly realize I’ve missed them for so long
Summer has left with the sound of the cicadas
And in regret, I whisper my final goodbye.
The wind mocks, knowing autumn has arrived
Yet I, foolishly, still weave dreams of love
Unaware that the love has already begun to fade
The sun sets quickly, flickering and disappearing.
You thought it was just an everyday routine
That our anger would only strengthen the bond
But my heart aches, echoing the sound of temple bells
Our fate was broken by the cruel joke of destiny.
Was it the heavens’ plan, or our own carelessness
That caused us to lose each other, too late to regret
The story of our lives in that autumn turns its page
Leaving behind only a heart full of countless scars.
Huỳnh Thanh Thảo

10. Poem:
REMEMBERING HANOI'S AUTUMN
By: Lê Hương
Autumn in Saigon doesn't bring the chill, my love
No shimmering lake, no fragrance of milk flowers
No autumn path kissed by the fading sun
Only the yellow light, and the yearning deep inside.
I suddenly crave the soft autumn sunlight
To walk hand in hand through Hanoi's heart
Longing for that gentle touch, your shy gaze
Yearning for the blush when you utter your love.
Longing to stroll with you, hearing the evening bells
The sound of trams clanging through the quiet streets
Heavy memories of the past, like a lifetime's burden
Could it be that you've forgotten me?
I search for you in Hanoi's calm autumn
Hoping to find our footprints through the endless days of longing
Does the old Co Ngu street still sigh
In the years we've spent apart, in this distance between us?
Autumn has come, but where are you, my love?
I return to seek the fragrance of the milk flowers
Hanoi and you, a lifetime of love and longing
Guiding me to find the footprints of the past...

11. Poem: A Message - Doãn Kim Oanh
A MESSAGE
By: Doãn Kim Oanh
Here, all the love and longing
Sent into the autumn breeze
Here, these fleeting dreams
That live on as eternal illusions.
You, so far away now
Chasing after drifting clouds
Leaves fall, scattered everywhere
But only I know this pain.
You wander endlessly
Chasing a wild dream
A heart torn by fate
How can it hold on?
Now your eyes don't recognize
Your hair no longer green
Your hands, thin and veins exposed
As the long rains stretch on.
One sunny autumn day
One golden autumn afternoon
Someone's shadow passing by
Through the window frame.
But no more sadness
Autumn is here now
You will return soon
One day, not far away.
(Autumn 2017)

12. Poem: Golden Silk Robes in the Breeze
GOLDEN SILK ROBES
By: NS Lâm Bình
Golden robes flutter in the breeze
The soft steps of a lotus foot step into the lingering sounds
Who plays the low notes on the zither
Bringing autumn’s wistful mood beneath the conical hat.
Threads of love, delicate as silk
Light as mist, weaving our wait together
Faded leaves and withered grass
One fleeting step, stained by the colors of time.
Who will stay, who will go?
Remembering the words “At the appointed time…”
Autumn's evening ripples with sorrow
Falling into the world of memories, restless and longing.
Golden robes flutter by the riverbank
The lotus steps glide, with hair like drifting clouds
The scent of old times lingers
Leaving behind traces of days now gone...

13. Poem: Dreaming in the Early Autumn - Phạm Quang Thu
DREAMING IN THE EARLY AUTUMN
By: Phạm Quang Thu
Suddenly, the world feels sorrowful
Oh, the gray clouds cover the sun
Oh, the scattered rain begins to fall
Oh, the golden leaves everywhere turn yellow.
Oh, there you are, lost in thought
Oh, the cool air fills the space with longing!
And then autumn arrives unexpectedly
It strikes us like a sudden downpour.
The sky’s hue is faint, a misty green
The river flows gently like a love song
The river moves towards the endless sea
Golden pine trees sway gently by the calm waves.
Oh, autumn, you are the season of dreams
Even the straw huts in my village turn golden
Chrysanthemums bloom endlessly
And butterflies dance amidst the flowers.
Mother gazes at the ripening betel nut
Carefully cutting leaves for the areca palm
Oh, autumn, full of anticipation
The pomelos ripen, and my heart is sweet with love.
Vietnam, my homeland
In autumn, I am forever lost in the love of this bright and shining land!

14. Poem: Autumn Sun - Chu Long
AUTUMN SUN
By: Chu Long
The autumn sun dances with the wind
The soft yellow hue fills the vast sky
A boat waits for passengers by the river
The water is gentle, like a pink silk ribbon stretched across.
The fragrant scent of pomelo blossoms mixes with the delicate sweetness of green sticky rice
The cicadas mourn the end of summer, their song fading
The flamboyant tree stands silent, its leaves sorrowfully drifting away.
The ao dai hugs the slender waist
Gracefully swaying, soft as velvet, with a gentle red blush
The hand picks the golden threads of autumn sunlight
Letting them fall over the fields, soon to be plowed for harvest.
The autumn sun lightly stirs the falling golden leaves
You are the autumn sun that captivates all who see
You will forever be the autumn sun, my love
Autumn sun, you will always be the eternal spring in my heart!
Poem by Chu Long

15. Poem: Ripe Autumn - Trần Nguyên Soái
RIPE AUTUMN
By: Trần Nguyên Soái
Along the road, yellow leaves fall
The air is gentle, the perfect autumn weather
The evening clouds, dark and fleeting
The sound of a lullaby, a mother's song from long ago.
The stork rests by the pond
Nibbling on the ripe fruit, savoring the sourness of the plum
Autumn has come, its harvest in full swing
The ripe persimmons gleam, and the grapefruit's tang is softened.
The golden chrysanthemums bloom with joy
The sweet pomegranate ripens, while the bananas sway gently
The grapes and pears stand firm, their skin smooth and taut
The oranges and watermelons sweetly beckon, inviting love.
Golden rice is wrapped in lotus leaves
The delicate dragonflies dance, their wings glistening in the late light
The fragrance of persimmons fills the air
Autumn’s soul shines through the kites that soar in the sky.
The autumn evening, a perfect moment to write some verses
Fulfilling my heart's longing, as I await the beauty of fall.
Trần Nguyên Soái

16. Poem: Longing for Autumn - Hoàng Minh Tuấn
LONGING FOR AUTUMN
By: Hoàng Minh Tuấn
The final summer rain has passed,
The sun shines again, as the gentle autumn breeze returns.
The streets are bathed in a golden glow,
Leaves fluttering, as Hanoi steps into autumn.
Which road leads me to Hoan Kiem Lake,
Where the water is green, the willow branches hanging low,
Where the thousand-year-old turtle tower still stands,
And where the lake’s surface reflects the purple and red of the sunset.
Which trees greet me with familiarity,
Which fragrance fills the air with the sweet scent of milk flowers,
Which corner of the old school street,
Where the red leaves of the big tree fall,
And the green, fragrant rice cakes from the harvest season fill the air.
Which streets are lined with tamarind trees,
Which sidewalks are golden with the scent of fallen sour fruits,
Which breeze ripples the lake’s surface,
And which song stirs the heart with the autumn breeze.
I return to the places of the past, to familiar faces,
I return to the sweet fragrance of milk flowers,
I return to the red leaves of the big tree,
I return to the taste of green rice cakes in autumn.
Oh Hanoi, when did autumn begin?
It leaves behind in me a love and longing,
It leaves behind both joy and sorrow,
It leaves behind the feeling of missing autumn!
