1. Poem: July Flame Trees - Phan Hai
July Flame Trees
Author: Phan Hai
July comes with the blooming of Flame Trees,
Stirring the heart with memories of childhood,
Oh, those days filled with dreams and wishes,
I recall when we were carefree and innocent.
July marks the season of farewells,
Graduation means we each go our separate ways,
The yearbook from those days now faded with time,
How many of us still visit the old friends?
Our once dark hair has grayed over the years,
But the bond of friendship remains a flame in our hearts,
As July returns, memories resurface,
The echoes of the past are still with us,
The purity and strength of friendship and school ties endure.

2. Poem: A Love Like That - Vân Anh
A Love Like That
Poem: Vân Anh
May arrives with the blooming of red Flame Trees,
The cicadas hum, and the sunlight stirs the soul,
I gather memories, cherishing the skies of nostalgia,
Those nights when you longed, awaiting my return!
It seems I can still feel your embrace,
The yearning heart, burning with passion,
"Are you foolish or pretending not to know?
Why must you let me wander, lost and helpless?"
So many unspoken words, so many times I’ve been blamed,
You were indifferent, lost in thought, avoiding answers,
And so the seasons pass, leaving behind fleeting moments,
My lips waited, longing for your kiss!
Underneath the fading purple flowers,
At the tea shop where you once sat,
Now I sit alone, waiting each evening,
Smiling softly, telling the empty chair, "Wait for her!"
The streets are familiar, the lamplight flickers,
My steps falter, treading over fallen leaves,
Through all four seasons, the love endures,
Will you wait? Your figure still lingers in my heart!

3. Poem: Childhood May - Tony Bui
Childhood May
Poem: Tony Bui
May arrives with its vibrant days,
The red Flame Trees burning brightly at noon,
The sky is blue, the clouds are white, the breeze flows,
The cicadas sing their music, bringing me back.
A land of memories,
Childhood spent chasing butterflies in the scorching summer,
The summer love, as dreams drift away,
The lullaby from mother’s voice fills the morning and evening air.
May comes with the purple hue of love,
The Lagerstroemia blossoms, sharing tender moments,
Summer arrives, bringing memories of home,
The golden rice fields are ripened in the sun.
May blooms with pink lotuses,
You are lost in the shape of love, intoxicated by passion,
The clouds grumble, unwilling to move,
The wind plays with the rain, teasing your hair.
May moves gently, stepping with quiet grace,
The mist spreads, filling the night air with fragrance,
Sweet folk songs and loving melodies,
Your love and longing are written into the soul of poetry...

4. Poem: The May Song - Lê Hương
The May Song
Author: Lê Hương
Will you return to the season of the Flame Trees when we were fifteen,
The moonlit age when we walked side by side,
Those innocent, passionate feelings,
Hidden in the heart, yet still resonating?
Will you return to our old school in May,
Listening to the cicadas singing a song of longing,
The petals of the Flame Tree pressed into the heart,
The shy handwriting in our yearbook from the past?
The first stirrings of love I gave to you,
As the years passed, who would have thought it would revive?
That pure schoolyard love from those days,
Will you return and write the rest of our love story?
Will you return to cherish the dreams we once had?

5. Poem: May Memories - Trịnh Thanh Hằng
May Memories
Author: Trịnh Thanh Hằng
The blank page hesitates, unwilling to close,
May arrives carrying the year-end yearbook,
Oh, the Flame Trees, why do you want to keep quiet,
Gently bloom, let the day stretch just a bit more.
All the scattered moments return to light the fire,
Suddenly, the heart feels the final year of school approaching,
Friends, teachers, all together,
As we bid farewell, crossing the final gate of our school.
The cicadas seem in such a hurry,
Through the summer night, their song echoes,
Childhood memories flood back,
The branches of the Flame Trees leave their mark on the pages.
And I, I remain carefree as ever,
Never thinking of the word 'goodbye',
Whispering with my friends,
That little one, loved, yet clearly annoyed.
Then tomorrow, in the midst of life's weariness,
Come back to find the memories of days gone by,
Bicycle, oh bicycle, even after storms, you'll still stand firm,
The white uniform fluttering in the air, beneath the sky of red Flame Trees.

6. Poem: My Hometown - Trần Duy Hạnh
My Hometown
Author: Trần Duy Hạnh
The golden sun of May shines brightly, the red flame trees bloom,
The Tam Bạc River* overflows along its banks,
The old streets, covered in green moss, suddenly spark poetic thoughts.
A fleeting moment, the soul returns to the ancient streets.
Remembering Chợ Sắt*, Chợ Hàng*, Chợ Đổ*,
The museum, the theater, and the Lạch Tray* river,
On the dock, the boats go back and forth with the current,
Childhood memories marked by the team of Mom Thuỷ*.
When I am far away, my heart is heavy,
I long for Hai Phong, a city full of glorious history.
The victory of the past at Bạch Đằng River*.
With Đường Năm – Cát Bi – Tiên Lãng* …
In the morning at Đồ Sơn*, the mist gently lingers,
Tân Vũ – Lạch Huyện* connects the distant islands,
The new urban area, bringing joy to the people,
The tall buildings stand proudly by the Cấm River*.
The love for my homeland is deep-rooted,
So much is left unsaid about my affection,
How proud I am with this life,
My hometown – Hai Phong, the Port City.

7. Poem: Forever Remembering May - Đào Mạnh Thạnh
Forever Remembering May
Author: Đào Mạnh Thạnh
April has passed,
Bringing the first rain of summer,
May arrives, filling the air with warmth,
Summer's rays blaze brightly, casting a golden glow,
As the red flame trees set the horizon on fire.
May comes, bringing a surge of emotions,
The purple jacaranda trees wait with longing,
The red flame tree's petals awaken dreams,
In May, the dreams of youth flourish.
So many Mays have passed,
On the roads that twist and turn,
The red flame tree's petals press against the pages of notebooks,
Sent with love, hoping for a shared journey.
The cicadas sing, stirring the soul,
The summer breeze whispers, guiding our path,
May brings back cherished memories,
And rekindles the memories of those exam days long ago.
The old schoolyard, where someone with mesmerizing eyes waved goodbye,
How gentle and beautiful those days were,
When we parted, emotions filled our hearts,
And we yearned for the day we would meet again.
That May, the memory remains vivid,
The red flame trees remember someone, fading in the heat,
The purple jacaranda flowers seem lost in the past,
And I will never forget those precious years.

8. Poem: Farewell to May - Ha Nguyen
Farewell to May
Author: Ha Nguyen
My dear, we are about to part,
There were no promises, yet the flame trees blaze with the colors of farewell,
May, the month when students place their hopes in their yearbooks,
Feeling lost and nostalgic.
My dear, do you still remember,
The first day at school, feeling uncertain?
The classroom, the teachers... and how we shyly hid behind the door,
And now, we are about to say goodbye.
My dear,
The sky remains blue, just like the May that passed,
The flame trees still burn bright with memories of old flowers,
The jacaranda still stands, gently purple in the schoolyard,
Whose eyes are suddenly filled with nostalgia?
My dear,
I remember our excitement, racing to share snacks,
And sneaking away to avoid being on duty,
Someone even cried
When we had to part...
My dear,
We will never have days like those again,
Innocent, carefree moments,
Those memories will flood back when we tell our stories,
Of our time together.
My dear,
This last season of the flame trees marks our farewell from school life,
The banyan tree, silent for years, now weeps with memories,
We realize too late how deeply we are connected,
In this place.

9. Poem: Memories of May! - Lê Mỹ Hường
Memories of May!
Poem by: Lê Mỹ Hường
May
The sky is full of blooming red flame trees
Dreams soaring high
Carried by the breeze
The bright eyes of youth
May
The sky is full of blooming red flame trees
The fiery color of the flowers burns in the heart
Sweet memories, unforgettable moments
Yearbook notes that will never be forgotten.
May
Oh! How I miss those names
Pressed flowers tucked in the pages of notebooks
Jacaranda flowers
Holding a sky full of longing
The small corner of the schoolyard, the beloved classroom
May
The pure white áo dài, so graceful and lovely
Reluctantly parting
Under the sunny days
The innocent, pure days of youth
May returns
I miss you so much, oh May!

10. Poem: Touching May - Hoa Diên Vỹ
Touching May
By: Hoa Diên Vỹ
Today, I visit my old school again
My feet hurry, filled with excitement
The school is the same, but it feels so distant
The old milk tree is withered—why is that?
Could it be that we’ve unknowingly passed each other by?
Our eyes no longer meet, looking in different directions
As I pick up a bunch of red flame flowers
Someone must have thrown them away, resting by the mossy wall
The bright red petals, as red as the blood of love
The pain cuts deep into the heart, sharp and aching
Old memories suddenly flood back
Unbidden, we search for each other’s eyes in confusion
So close, yet words don’t come out
Tears fall inward, swallowed by the heart
We look at each other awkwardly, like strangers
The sorrowful sunlight falls, shattering beneath our feet
We silently walk toward the back of the schoolyard
The old classroom is shrouded in emptiness
The soft echoes of a familiar song linger in the air
Time’s dust erases the marks of old friends
The summer memories rush by in an instant
We turn and walk against the wind
Searching for that moment when a hand let go
Grasping it again with the warmth of today
May has touched us—does anyone notice?

11. Poem: Goodbye - Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà
Goodbye
By: Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà
Goodbye, April, full of longing
Welcome, May, as the sun fills every street
Its gentle warmth mingles with every breeze
Every road is bathed in the red glow of blooming flame trees
I gift you a song of love, waiting
As school ends, I still wait by the corner
Hoping to meet you, to confess my heart
But we never seem to meet
All this love remains locked in poetry
Your indifference leaves me lost in thought
My soul is restless, always waiting
But you, like a distant Spring evening, remain far away...
Now Summer arrives, bringing warmth and light
I write you a song, a love letter for May
Hoping you stay forever young, like the full moon...
The red flowers bloom in the sky
The cicadas sing, Summer is here!

12. Poem: May and the Memories - Nghi Lâm
May and the Memories
By: Nghi Lâm
May has arrived, bringing a flood of memories
The first date we shared
Before the flame trees, we exchanged our vows
The schoolyard basked in the joyful warmth of summer
Parting felt heavy, sorrow took root in my heart
You too were sad, leaving notes as parting words
The purple flowers pressed, waiting for exam season
We would soon reunite
From the beginning, we knew our love was innocent
The school days filled with naive dreams
We walked the same path, weaving hopes together
All our energy was devoted to the future
From that moment, we dreamed together
Of being reunited in university
Sharing knowledge and experiences
Our names together on the honor roll
But before the exams, on a rainy summer afternoon
I was shocked to hear the news of you leaving
Leaving behind the school and love we cherished
Heading to a new life with your family
Time passed, and summer brought its song of cicadas
But our farewell song remains
The red flame trees have not changed
Why did we have to part on such a sad day?
As summer approaches, I can only sigh
LOST CONNECTION, WHY KEEP REMEMBERING?

13. Poem: Emotions of May - Trần Thị Tĩnh
Emotions of May
By: Trần Thị Tĩnh
(Dedicated to the beloved Thị Cầu Secondary School)
May arrives, and the flame trees burst into bloom
Bright red, blazing against the summer sky
The students’ joy is palpable, full of excitement
Bringing memories of school, of classrooms, full of longing.
Years gone by, memories of days long past
Suddenly flood back to the familiar schoolyard
The cicadas sing, the flame trees blaze
Summer, exams... bidding farewell to school.
Thị Cầu, how you linger in my heart
Bringing to life so many cherished memories
The bond between teachers and students... full of love
And I find myself reflecting... each time May returns.

14. Poem: May Echoes the Songs Forever - Nguyễn Đình Hưng
May Echoes the Songs Forever
By: Nguyễn Đình Hưng
May arrives, the cicadas sing
Calling students to rush through exams
To leave school and embrace the break
Filling hearts with distant dreams
May arrives, the flame trees call to us
Recalling innocent love and memories
Though it’s gone, we still cherish it
And when we’re sad, memories come alive
May arrives, the country is draped in flags and flowers
Celebrating the unity of the land
With the great victory of Điện Biên
Paying tribute to Uncle Ho with boundless respect
May arrives, driving the cold away
So bees and butterflies can dance among blooming flowers
We all rejoice in the memories
May arrives, echoing songs forever.

15. Poem: Love Song of May - Hong Vu
Love Song of May
By: Hong Vu
A silent note, soft and gentle
Petals fall at the threshold of May
In purple ink, memories linger
On distant pages of the past
The flame tree burns bright in the sky
The golden sun still gleams by the window
Cicadas buzz in the hot afternoon
A cloud holds storms in its heart
Can you hear it, my love, the sea's longing?
The crimson sail still drifts somewhere
Let the waves crash with yearning
For centuries, the waves have craved the shore
The distant sunset fades on the horizon
Memories of past love still linger
Soft hair sways in the wind, drifting with the clouds
The glowing horizon mesmerizes as the evening sun sets
Can you hear it, the rush of the rain?
The summer rain falls into the night
Whispering, the roof hums softly
The rain sings a lullaby, gentle and cool
Can you hear it, the sincerity in my heart?
The dew drips, the branches bloom
The seasons call out with longing
May sends this love song to you.

16. Poem: The Nostalgia of May - Trương Tuý Anh
The Nostalgia of May
Poet: Trương Tuý Anh
April slips away
As summer comes to bring warmth
Resting on the lilac petals
And weaving gold on the red flame tree
The cicadas hum gently
As May arrives, my friend
Calling memories from afar
Startling my heart with longing
The evening glow settles on the streets
A sudden shower falls
Raindrops whisper softly
Do you remember or have you forgotten...
Wandering down the familiar path
I faintly hear the wind's song
There is an empty nostalgia
For someone with flowing hair
The crimson flowers intoxicate
As someone breathlessly leans close
Eyes half-closed, filled with desire
The trees cast two shadows entwined
The bees and butterflies sip nectar
The scent of lotus fills the air
Welcome, May, with its rosy light
Overflowing with deep, passionate love.

17. Poem: The Love Poem of May - Lan Chi Phan
The Love Poem of May
Author: Lan Chi Phan
The more I try to forget, the stronger the longing grows
Remembering those peaceful days like a dream
With you by my side, guiding me to Heaven's gate
As May arrives, the milk trees spread their fragrance
The flame tree blossoms on the road, flaunting its beauty
Do you know? I miss you so much!
Through this poetic love, I send you my affection.
Why love, if it only ties our hearts in longing?
After school, I stand waiting by the gate,
The rain falls, but you never arrive in time.
Hiding by the gate, my heart sinks with longing.
The conical hat tilts, hiding my sobs within...
Summer comes with cicadas singing on quiet afternoons
Someone silently waits for you
I wish our bond would quickly come true
In our warm home, where we live side by side.
We are like two shadows, inseparable
Bound together forever, never to part
We are together, our love sincere
Always feeling it, so deep, so intense.

18. Poem: The Month of Memories - Nguyễn Quang Minh
The Month of Memories
Author: Nguyễn Quang Minh
The vivid red of the phoenix flower recalls so many memories
Who has gone, walking away, leaving only a shared step
The sound of cicadas fills the air, but the familiar paths are now empty
The month of memories resonates in the waiting melody
The summer sun blazes, yet the dream remains unfulfilled
The school drum echoes, distant, without expectation
Is there anyone left to soothe this restless heart?
Why has May come, but no steps can be found?
For the graceful figure has walked toward distant lands
Sweet words lingering in a broken soul
The light of day fades, no longer as brilliant
Our hands once held, now slipping as summer fades away
The month of dreams hurries away with someone's steps
Leaving behind a heart as hard as stone
Sipping life's bittersweet cup, emptying the glass
Leaving the white uniforms, my soul in disarray
Who took away summer with regret in their wake?
As twilight fades, the glow of sunset dims
What will create memories that remain etched forever?
Old images I wish to bury but cannot
I long for the golden dreams once wished for
The soft hair brushed, adorned with a hairpin
The embrace that fulfilled all dreams
Soaked in the summer heat, we savor the warmth

19. Poem: The Phoenix Blooms with Sorrow - Hồ Dệch
The Phoenix Blooms with Sorrow
Author: Hồ Dệch
The flames of summer paint the phoenix flowers red
A sorrow fills my heart as my childhood takes flight
The cicadas' song echoes, numbing the soul
The white uniform fades, a fleeting memory
The colors of the phoenix hide their own sadness
Every summer, the heart remains restless
Stirring the memories of the past, longing for
Our teachers, our friends, those innocent days
A deep sadness lingers, tangled in regret
The familiar paths are forgotten in a haze
The marks are still there, but the people have gone
Strangers now, memories full of longing
Holding a cup, the sorrow overwhelms
A quiet space within, standing still in the heart
The phoenix lights the season with melancholy
The past fades, but the longing remains vast

20. Poem: The Phoenix Falls in the Windy Afternoon - Lâm Sung
The Phoenix Falls in the Windy Afternoon
Author: Lâm Sung
Summer returns, visiting the old school
The afternoon breeze gently blows, swaying the red phoenix flowers
On the schoolyard, I stand waiting
Waiting for you, waiting as the evening falls
You returned from a faraway place
We promised to meet at the stone bench, as we did in the past
Before we said goodbye, you waved and said
"Come back soon, come visit me…!"
The schoolyard is now covered with fallen phoenix flowers
Cicadas, where have you gone?
The red phoenix flowers buzz with whispers
How long has it been since anyone returned here?
Only the names remain carved on the trees
From the days of white uniforms, filled with dreams
Oh phoenix, I send you my poem
The cicadas and the phoenix trees wait for me
Tell her, I have returned
Sitting here, my heart is heavy with longing
But I will always treasure
The long dress, the breeze, beneath the falling phoenix flowers…!!!
