1. Poem: MARRYING INTO A RURAL FAMILY
MARRYING INTO A RURAL FAMILY
(A poem from a girl from a distant land becoming a bride in Ninh Bình)
Last spring, I visited Bái Đính
In summer, I explored the ancient capital
In autumn, I wandered through Tam Cốc
This winter, I will admire Tràng An
There's also Địch Lộng, Vân Long
Along with many other attractions:
Kim Sơn - the Church, the Bridge
Kênh Gà, Ba Dội, Vân Trình
Thúy Sơn and Ngọc Mỹ Nhân
Cúc Phương, Đồng Chương, Yên Thắng
Then the bright shore of hope
At Bình minh, Cồn Nổi, Cồn Mờ…
Everywhere, there are dreams to be fulfilled
The land of Ninh Bình is truly beautiful
Its people are intelligent and graceful
Indeed, it is a land of talents and rich heritage
Here, deep bonds of affection thrive
Nature’s bounty welcomes birds to roost
It is full of warmth and love
Bringing joy to friends from afar
Thank you so much, Heaven
For guiding my path and showing the way
Now my heart is as joyful as a festival
Being a bride in your land, my dear.

2. Poem: LOTUS FLOWERS OF TRÀNG AN
LOTUS FLOWERS OF TRÀNG AN
Whoever visits Tràng An's shore
Will see the lotus flowers blooming by the river
Deep red mingling with soft pink
The oars stir, filling hearts with longing
Still in awe, the view beckons
With scenic caves calling out one by one
Shimmering gemstones and delicate rocks hanging low
The sound of raindrops fills the air, a gentle melody
In and out, nearly a dozen caves
The boat drifts, while the lotus awaits
Some urge the poet onward
Creating wishes and dreams to gift to you.

3. Poem: CAVES OF NINH BÌNH
CAVES OF NINH BÌNH
The sky's ink and the earth's paper
The artist of time
Draws a masterpiece alongside the thousand stars of Khuê
Glistening, fascinating, calling us back
Offering the world a passionate, deep affection
Come with me to Ninh Bình
And witness the magical, vibrant colors
Endless beauty like jewels and pearls
The majestic beauty is also deeply spiritual
Tam Cốc, Bích Động, Vân Trình,**
Thiên Hà, Địch Lộng, Tuyệt Tình, Thiên Tôn
Those ancient souls... Stirring the heart
Once you visit, you'll long to return.
Ninh Bình City, 5/5/17

4. Poem: EAGLE'S NEST
EAGLE'S NEST
Come visit the Tràng An Heritage
And behold the marvels of nature's creation
To gain new insights and experiences
In this blessed land, receiving Heaven's grace
Behold the majestic, formidable Eagle's Nest
Carrying the spirit of ancient Vietnam
It harbors a deep pride, pure and noble
Of the descendants of the Hung Kings, 4000 years ago
Join the flow of visitors
And hear the praises of the Tam Cốc region
You’ll feel like you’re picking treasures
On a boat drifting on the emerald waves of Ngô Đồng
How skillfully nature created the river
Flowing through the mountains into three wondrous caves
The scene is like a painting, the waters reflecting
The mystical Eagle's Nest amidst the sky and clouds
It’s a place that makes the heart yearn
Far away, yet it lingers in your thoughts
Come visit, and tell your parents
That Ninh Bình will never be forgotten...

5. Poem: THE STORY OF THE THREE CAVES
THE STORY OF THE THREE CAVES
Three caves hide a tale of love lost
Now, when spoken, it still stirs painful memories
Once, a wealthy young man
Fell in love with a princess, and they vowed to be together
They thought the heavens had united them
Gifts and treasures prepared for their wedding
But fate twisted as the king of a neighboring realm
Demanded the princess be surrendered in tribute...
The young man’s heart sank with grief
Searching for his lost love, yet she was gone
His sorrow, like a single chopstick, incomplete
Made him weep, standing, sitting, unable to rest
He sought solace, hoping to ease his despair
At the Three Drops Cave, he bathed his sorrows away
After bathing, he whispered a prayer
'My love, let us meet again in the golden stream.'
Against advice, he ventured into the Si Cave
There, he quietly gave up his life
The deep waters swallowed him swiftly
And the stone remained cold, holding his spirit
The Three Caves—Sính, Si, Ba Giọt—today
Welcome visitors who come and go
Tràng An, with a passion for life
Wrapped in beauty and rich with human culture...

6. Poem: BAÍ ĐÍNH TEMPLE FESTIVAL

BAÍ ĐÍNH TEMPLE FESTIVAL
The sacred Baí Đính Temple, where this festival unfolds
Fills the air with the scent of spring in bloom
Flags wave in the ceremonial offerings to the legendary gods
A myth, yet as real as life itself each day
The Holy Mother’s prayers are held here
Blessing the people’s wishes, fulfilled with care
The nation’s peace and the people’s well-being
Honored prayers answered swiftly and true
With hearts of virtue, those who are devoted
Are greeted by happiness, within reach
Gratitude passed down to children
The radiant flag of the Buddha soaring free
No place compares to the beauty found here
The Đính Mountain stands, bathed in radiant clouds
The Pagoda’s towers gleam beneath the mist
Dreamers and wishers have come for days untold...
From the lineage of dragons and immortals, bright and proud
King Đinh Bộ Lĩnh forged his kingdom strong
The sacred land of Baí Đính, home to great souls
The heroic spirit of the ancient capital calls out
The green history remembers from ancient times
With memories of a thousand years, to be passed on forever
Celebrating the spring festival in bright, vibrant hues
Tràng An and Baí Đính forever remain a magical place.
LOST IN TAM CỐC
The sky’s clouds drift across the earth
Suddenly pausing, awestruck by what they see: this strange sight
It’s like a scene from the heavens
Is this the magical land of Bồng Lai itself?
This sacred land belongs to Tràng An
In the golden season of Tam Cốc, I humbly say
Beyond, there are caves and temples
The sacred Bích Động shines green through the seasons
Not far, there lies Thung Nham
A bird sanctuary where flocks of birds whirl in awe
It is a place bestowed by Heaven and Earth
Filled with beauty and serenity for all to admire
The mountains are stacked one on top of another, forming strongholds
Three legendary caves, steeped in history
Tam Cốc is truly a paradise
Where rice fields bloom like jewels in harvest season
The golden fields glow in the brilliant light
The Ngô Đồng river carries the sunset’s magnificence
The boats bustle with passengers on an exquisite journey
Guests float along, drifting through the picturesque scenery
The clouds pause for a moment, taking in the sight
Reflecting the sparkling water below
The clouds agree, resting their journey
And together, they enjoy the serene beauty of Tam Cốc
Today, I remain in Ninh Bình
Tomorrow, I’ll continue my adventure far and wide...

8. Poem: SPRING OF LOVE
SPRING OF LOVE
Youth and love
Deep and passionate
It overcomes all barriers
Whether climbing mountains or crossing seas
Drunk in the magic of love
When two hearts beat as one
The beauty of destiny unfolds
The glow of a first love shines bright
As time passes
Life gains years
Who knows when the deep passion
Of love will no longer be enough?
Love has no age
It is endlessly full
Two souls wander together
The older it gets, the spicier it becomes
Youth’s love, the love of the young
Old love, the love of the elderly
Love has existed since time immemorial
It’s beautiful in the melody of life’s song
Spring adorns the earth
Love breathes life into the world
Both give all to the journey
In a deep, eternal love song.

9. Poem: THE LEGEND OF THE CHRYSANTHEMUM
THE LEGEND OF THE CHRYSANTHEMUM
Once there was a girl from a faraway village
She stayed busy under the moon’s glow, not daring to leave
Morning and night, she cared for her mother
Everyone praised her, never a word of complaint
One day, as she struggled in the whirlwind of tasks
Her mother fell ill, and the girl’s heart was full of grief
With no wealth, and no one to help
The cold winds of winter crept in with the dawn
Her mother fell unconscious from exhaustion
The weight of worry felt like a stone pressing down
If her mother passed to the next world
She would be left alone, shrouded in darkness
In her search for a cure, she traveled far
Worried for her mother when she wasn’t home
Suddenly, a Buddha appeared and gave her a small flower
It was called the Chrysanthemum Blossom
The petals of this flower shone brightly with beauty
Its essence of filial devotion burned brightly in her heart
She quickly picked its delicate petals
And with its power, her mother healed and revived
Her deep love for her mother was pure and true
And the Buddha granted a moment of divine clarity
The flower symbolized FILIAL PIETY
A shining beacon of love for generations to come.

10. The Noble Profession
The Noble Profession
(Dedicated to all Teachers on November 20th).
November arrives gently, bringing memories
Of the boat crossing, a journey we hold dear
Carrying dreams to all distant shores
The captain is never in a rush.
Younger travelers head in many directions
Shaping the future—Doctors, Engineers, and more...
Whether cunning or simple and kind
All share a time of memories cherished.
Like phoenix flowers that ignite the schoolyard
In moments of farewell, emotions burn bright
Eyes moist, embracing the Teachers' goodbye
The age of eighteen, never to return...
November brings gratitude and compassion
The guide, patient, full of wisdom and care
Day and night, tirelessly they contribute
Helping the children flourish with every passing year.
Through floods or storms, they hold steady
Steering the boat to safe shores ahead
For the future of all, bright and filled with pride
Bringing honor to the legacy of our land.
November blooms with chrysanthemums
Honoring Teachers, steadfast guides through life
For the tree of life bears fruits of great value
The most noble profession—shaping the future of the nation.

11. Poem: Husband and Wife
Husband and Wife
Reminiscing the warm glow of the kitchen fire
As the chill of winter approaches
Side by side, we nurture love's gentle flame
Hand in hand, weaving deep bonds of devotion.
Even in moments of confusion, our hearts still wait
And though paths diverge, our souls remain hopeful.
Hold tight to the chance we’ve been given,
And stay bound together for a hundred years, husband and wife.

12. Poem: The Rose in the Buttonhole
The Rose in the Buttonhole
Every Vietnamese person knows the old saying,
Words of wisdom remind us to honor our Father and Mother's kindness.
Like the mountains of the East or the rivers that flow to the sea,
One must not be indifferent to the duty of repayment.
The Vu Lan festival is a time for filial gratitude,
From the heart, a celebration of devotion.
It helps us recognize the deep, long river of life,
Which has its source following the eternal rules of nature.
For no matter who we are in this world,
We all spend nine months in our Mother's womb,
Before becoming a small angel,
Continuing the legacy of the family through generations.
Parents cannot choose how or where we are born,
Whether in a humble hut or a grand mansion,
The most important gift they give is Life itself,
This is something we must engrave deeply in our hearts.
Paying respects should never be seen as a trivial matter,
As time swiftly passes and waits for no one.
Hair turns gray with every passing spring,
And our parents will one day be gone forever...
Do not wait until your parents have grown old,
Regretting what you didn’t do before.
Show your love while the roses are red,
So later, you can wear white flowers in peaceful remembrance.

13. Poem: A Poem for Uncle Ho
With love and admiration for his great spirit.
At the beginning of the 20th century, our land,
Still waiting for the revolution's winds to blow.
The country was submerged in hopeful anticipation,
While one man set out to bring new winds to our shores,
Calling cities and villages to rise in the call for change.
Thus, the August Revolution sparked hope anew,
The entire nation surged forward in waves of resolve,
Submerging the enemy’s weapons in the tide of our fight,
To bring a bright full moon to the autumn night.
We cast the darkness of the past behind us,
The national flag flew proudly, with the Party’s emblem bright,
Waving high for nine years in victory’s embrace.
Victory at Dien Bien Phu added to our pride,
And to our beloved Motherland’s strength.
The next challenge came with the American invader,
For 21 years, we remained steadfast and strong,
Until April came, and our country was finally freed,
The triumphant tune of the great victory rang loud.
We, with hearts full of loyalty and duty,
Swear to continue on the long road ahead,
Building a strong and prosperous nation,
And advancing along the path to success.
With each step, we reach new heights of achievement,
Guided by the eternal light of Uncle Ho,
Whose figure stands majestic, gentle, and divine,
A shining star to lead us forevermore.

14. Poem: Saigon...My Love
I know you've been waiting patiently all this time,
For my heart continues to whisper quietly,
Beating with love and a deep yearning.
That autumn, at Thao Cam Vien under the warm sun,
You shyly welcomed me with a hurried kiss.
I was moved by something new and sweet,
Feeling light and overwhelmed in my soul.
From that moment on, love ignited a spark,
At Ben Thanh Market, we strolled side by side,
We paused in front of the statue of Our Lady,
My poet's soul danced with the rhythm of love.
The Saigon River sparkled with a thousand stars,
As we sailed along, the gentle wind embraced us.
I secretly wished for the cool breeze,
To warm our shoulders with the closeness of love.
You were gentle, graceful, and full of life,
While I felt peaceful, my heart full of joy.
Like two swallows flying in the wide sky,
We raced across the ocean’s vast breeze.
I've arrived and will leave again, my love,
Yet I’ll continue to cherish you, waiting through the years.
But my heart is at peace, for we share the same flame,
Of love and devotion, as beautiful as a dream.
Saigon, 06/11/17.

15. Poem: A Love for a Hundred Years
A LOVE FOR A HUNDRED YEARS
(Poetry exam)
We vowed to build ONE love together,
TWO hearts dreaming brightly as one.
THREE times sinking deep, but silently,
SEVEN times rising, playing in peace.
Through MILLIONS of hardships, our love only grows stronger,
Crossing THOUSANDS of struggles, our bond shines brightly.
TEN times, even when difficult, we face it together,
For happiness for HUNDRED YEARS comes from our own strength.

16. Poem: Admiration
Admiration
(Written for July 27th)
A mother of a fallen soldier carries an unbearable sadness,
Her heart waits for her child, year after year.
Her hair turns gray, and her heart aches with memories,
As the night falls, the lullaby of longing calls out...
The wife of the fallen soldier faces unbearable grief,
The tragic news strikes like lightning in her ears.
He gave his life while she stood alone, keeping vigil,
A small boat tossed in the storm’s fury.
Weak and frail, she labors on the flooded fields,
Raising her children and caring for elderly parents.
Day after day, she toils through a life without recognition,
Her heart heavy with love and memories...
The child of the fallen soldier suffers even more,
Born without a father to guide or protect.
Only in dreams does the father briefly return,
In moments of imagination, the child reaches out...
To share these feelings, the only way is through thought,
Listening to the stories his mother tells of his father.
Even after his sacrifice, he is gone forever,
Leaving no honor, no white mourning ribbon...
How can we ever describe the quiet sacrifices
Of the families of the fallen soldiers who gave their all?
I want to express my deepest admiration
For these silent heroes who gave everything for us.

17. Poem: THE TROPHY OF VICTORY IN THE HEARTS OF FANS
THE TROPHY OF VICTORY IN THE HEARTS OF FANS
The Motherland, gentle and kind, opens her arms,
Welcoming her children with vibrant flags and flowers.
The historic feat of reaching the finals,
Shining brightly for our beloved Vietnam.
Emotions surge, happiness explodes,
Celebrating the runners-up as champions,
Because millions of hearts beat in unison,
Proud descendants of the Dragon and Fairy.
This is no mere rolling ball,
But an eternal monument standing tall,
Built through the journey to the final,
Every match glowing with brilliant victories.
Snowstorms tested the final match,
Everyone thought this trial would be too much,
But in the end, the young dragon did not fall,
Rising with an extraordinary spirit.
Though the golden Cup slipped away,
It did not diminish the glorious radiance.
Look at the crowd, cheering and calling,
The golden Cup shining through their hearts.
Such a rare and grand celebration,
Nearly 7 hours, energy never waning,
TV and newspapers couldn't capture,
The fullness of the joy that erupted.
How dear is the image of Uncle Ho waving with a smile,
As his children celebrate their achievements with him,
Emotions rising to every level,
Once again, tears of joy flowed.
Is this the heroic spirit of our ancestors,
That Vietnamese football has long awaited?
Not crying from regret, but tears of pride,
Overflowing with deep national pride.
How beautiful the celebration of the stars,
The heroes of U23 Vietnam,
For Vietnamese football to rise and continue,
Standing proudly with our friends across the world.

18. Poem: TRANQUILITY
TRANQUILITY
The peaceful countryside of my homeland,
Radiates with beautiful and sweet scenery.
The golden cows gently roam in harmony,
White herons glide gracefully in pairs.
The river's cool breeze sparkles with light,
The green meadows shine with dew.
The little ones joyfully dance and skip,
In this serene, peaceful, and happy land.

19. Poem: SUMMER IS HERE
SUMMER IS HERE
The vast summer arrives with endless sunshine,
The clouds hang high, painting the sky with blue.
The crimson petals of the Phoenix flower bloom,
Filling the air with youthful dreams of innocence.
The schoolyard is quiet, as summer takes hold,
The Banyan tree's shade gently stretches out.
The cicadas sing in rhythm, like a lullaby,
Alternating between bright and soft notes.
The wind greets the city and races to the sea,
Urging the waves to reach the shore,
Soft sands beneath bare feet, as the wind stirs your hair,
Embracing the freedom of summer's touch.
The scent of lotus flowers drifts along the lake,
The buds bloom, reaching up toward the sky,
The flowers stand bright, full of grace,
The stamens glow like strings of pearls.
Summer brings memories of seasons past,
Our hearts yearning for those warm days again,
Remembering those handwritten notes,
Where cicadas sang in the golden summer.

20. Poem: WITH VUNG TAU
WITH VUNG TAU
We stand on the Long Cung beach,
Reminiscing of the past, youth in Sầm Sơn.
The waves chase each other, loud and gentle,
Crashing against the shore, tracing your footprints in the sand.
Though the memories may have faded a bit,
I still feel my spirit soaring high.
Wishing to become the wave itself,
To kiss the shores where you once stood.
At Hồ Mây, my soul soars even higher,
The cable car offers a stunning view of the sea.
Vast and colorful, nature unfolds its beauty,
And I feel so small amidst it all.
The gentle waves at Bãi Sau stretch endlessly,
Yearning to meet the waves at Bãi Trước.
The fishing boats come and go, busy as ever,
Beating in sync with the rhythm of the ocean.
With the Navy guarding the skies and seas,
The Coast Guard ensures the peace of the shores.
Vung Tau, calm despite storms,
It proudly bears the emblem of Christ the King.
Vung Tau, a place where the heart stirs,
With its deep love for Bãi Dứa and Bãi Dâu,
The winds still blow gently, carrying sunshine,
Etching the image of the distant Sông Dinh beneath the waves.
Here with you, in this paradise of peace,
Our hearts entwined, we long for our return.
Farewell, Vung Tau, I'll remember forever,
Our first meeting, one that I can never forget.
Vung Tau, 21/10/17
