1. Poem: HELLO APRIL - Phạm Hồng Giang
HELLO APRIL
Phạm Hồng Giang
Come back, gather the April sunshine
So that the verses no longer hesitate or linger
The garden by the house with lilies gently unfolding
Pure white, like a memory from long ago.
Come back so that summer's longing fades
The verse falls, lost in an evening of whispered promises
Words still stuck, held back with unspoken grief
Eyes glancing, secretly at the moment of parting.
Come back before spring slips away
Fleeting sunshine, can't hold onto it forever
Is it because you're still pondering
That summer waits, anxious, with anticipation?
Come back, for April is full of excitement
Someone's gaze falls, touching my heart with confusion
We've passed that youthful recklessness
Yet still, I harbor resentment, caught in love's confusion.
Come back, March has already passed
Say hello to April...
With everything...
Awaiting!
01/04/2019 Hồng Giang.

2. Poem: BÊWILDERED APRIL IN HANOI - Hoàng Minh Tuấn
BÊWILDERED APRIL IN HANOI
Poem by: Hoàng Minh Tuấn
The wind changes with the season, calling the clouds into the streets,
Spring departs, leaving room for summer's arrival,
Regretful of spring, the moment of parting,
The rain pours heavily, thunder rumbles to bid farewell!
April arrives, as if spring still lingers,
Morning - filled with resentments, bringing foggy mist,
All sorrow fades, by noon - the sun shines golden,
By evening - the streets are bathed in summer's warmth!
Hanoi in April still wears the green of leaves,
Hoan Kiem Lake reflects the calm blue waters gently,
The willows by the lake welcome the arrival of summer,
Mirroring the water, their shadows play, showing off their flowing hair!
In the afternoon by West Lake, the sunset spreads a fiery red,
The wind gently ripples the water, making waves sway,
April, I recall it with longing,
That exam season, with all its unforgettable memories...
The old sourwood trees, beloved by the youth,
We studied together, made plans for the future,
The sweet smell of the sourwood flowers filled the air,
And I remember, enchanted by the white school uniforms!
Then, that day, the red cotton flowers fell in abundance,
Scattering the streets, heavy with love and longing,
You blamed the rain for its violent, unrelenting rush,
As the cotton flowers fell... my heart filled with yearning!
Now April returns to the streets,
White uniform, where are you now?
Will you return to relive the passions of the past,
Do you still remember those old desires from April?

3. Poem: APRIL - Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà
APRIL
Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà
April arrives, and the lilies are in full bloom
You quietly walk down the old, empty street
The entire world seems immersed in silence
Something from long ago, yet feels like just yesterday.
You walk restlessly past the blooming flowers
The white lilies, why do they bring such bitterness?
Without you, the sky seems sorrowful, shedding tears
You choke back tears as you pass the old, lonely path.
Spring has just passed, and summer is truly here
The sun blazes, yet my heart trembles with unease
Where are you? I search but cannot find you
Now that summer has come, the longing still sways within me.
It wasn't the flowers that broke our love
It was because we walked in opposite directions
Staying together only brought more sorrow
Fate wasn't on our side, and love was left incomplete.
April arrives, the lilies fill the streets
You quietly weep...
Sobbing...
Remembering that afternoon...

4. Poem: SEASON TRANSITION - Lan Thanh
SEASON TRANSITION
Poem by Lan Thanh
April arrives, bringing sunlight and breeze
Summer steps onto the porch
Spring lingers, not yet gone
The garden blooms with white flowers for a hundred days
I lose my way back
The sky is ablaze with the red of the cotton flower.
Clouds drift lazily, changing colors in shades of five
A kite soars in the air
Spring
Summer
The moment of transition
Our love song of joy...
(April 2014)

5. Poem: APRIL RETURNS - Nghi Lâm
APRIL RETURNS
Poem by Nghi Lâm
April arrives, the lilies bloom in competition
In Hanoi, where the streets are full of flowers
Pure white, elegant in their graceful forms
You gaze gently, eyes full of longing and affection.
In the South, someone contemplates
A few verses sent in place of a name
Reminding someone that they won't be forgotten
To rejoice when summer finally comes.
The leaves of Hoan Kiem Lake have changed their attire
The gardens of King Ly are adorned with red phoenix flowers
The Old Quarter waits for you, each afternoon
Even the bougainvillea vines joyously spread their petals.
To welcome you back, so quickly
Love that was distant is now close at hand
All worries fade away in the dream of spring
When I sleep alone on a spring day.
Though we know we're no longer young
Love has no age to grow old
Only sweet, passionate moments that bloom
Turning distance into something meaningless.
March passed with all its completeness
Honoring Women with charm and grace
Memories of the youth brigade reaching out
So the whole country united in its support.
Then April arrives, bringing poetic inspiration
As I watch the lilies, I feel like writing poems
Waiting for summer to arrive, watching the phoenix flowers in awe
Walking with you toward where memories are made.
When West Lake's winds have ceased
We celebrate as our past love returns
The long bench recalls stories of passion
OH, HOW WE LOVE... LET'S KISS!
(Saigon, evening of March 27, 2019.) N.L

6. Poem: APRIL - Hoa Diên Vỹ
APRIL
Hoa Diên Vỹ
April drops its first cicada’s note, a lost spring
A musical note fades away, silenced beneath dark leaves
The carefree messenger suddenly feels misplaced
Without friends, how can a harmony be formed?
April hesitates, not quite bidding farewell to spring
The sun lingers, casting early warmth on the threshold of summer
While the jacaranda tree this morning wears golden leaves along the alley
What lingering affection does the breeze bring as the season shifts?
April is as gentle as a modest maiden
Endlessly perfuming the air with the scent of longan blossoms
A boy from next door gathers insects and tree sap to paste
He gives his toy car to the girl with the raven hair.
April dances, lighting up the red flowers of the coral tree, alluring as a maiden
Then teasing the wind, mischievously making the pomelo tree sway
Non-stop, the young fruits tremble in surprise
Falling down, adding to the play for a few school children.
April shines brightly in delicate white hues
The graceful figure of girls in ao dai after school
We stand there, naive and foolish, like clueless fools
Hiding a bouquet of lilies that shyly bloom behind us.
April returns, whispering memories that bring tears...

7. Poem: APRIL AND THE LAGERSTROEMIA - Ha Nguyen
APRIL AND THE LAGERSTROEMIA
Ha Nguyen
The schoolyard fades into purple
Echoes of the time in white uniforms
The Lagerstroemia blooms
A distant call
Waiting for the season to return.
The color of loyalty
Or of those years with books in hand
Quietly, my dear, though the past was beautiful
Do not bind yourself to dream again of yesteryear.
The petals wither each time the season fades
Do you cry? The season will not return
Holding your heart tightly within memories
Waiting for the next season to arrive.
The tree bends under the weight of pain
Its bark torn, bearing the scars
Gold is tested by fire, hardships remain
The storms are many, but it grows nonetheless.
And when winter comes, the tree remains silent
Holding onto hope, ready to bloom once more
All that leaves is love, eternal and constant
Offering life a pure violet love.

8. Poem: OPENING THE DOORS OF APRIL - Hồ Viết Bình
OPENING THE DOORS OF APRIL
Hồ Viết Bình
Opening the doors of April, I see the lies*
I see the sky of Saigon, vast and blue
The sun scorches the skin, igniting the tree branches
I see the scattered clouds swiftly flying towards the sea
I hear the heavens growl menacingly
Where are the thunder and lightning, why hasn’t the rain come yet?
The road is burning hot beneath bare feet
The roots of trees must dig deep into the earth
Drinking underground water to quench the thirst of the dry season
Oh April! Have you changed seasons yet?
Why do you deceive us, promising rain in just a moment?
The leaves and flowers sing a melody
Welcoming the cool water of the season, fulfilling all hopes and longings.
* 1/4 Day of Lies

9. Poem: APRIL'S PROMISE - Tony Bui
APRIL'S PROMISE
Poem: Tony Bui
April gathers the golden rays
And builds a bridge to welcome her home
The sweetness of life fills the cup of love
Fate smiles upon us, and we become one
Summer comes with vibrant green fruit
The kiss of happiness is a gift from the heavens
April paints a sky so blue
The red phoenix trees bloom, mirroring my love for you
The moon at midnight, shy and dreamy
Weaves our love into a beautiful dream
The cicadas sing, their voices bright
Turning into music, gifting us a smile
No more longing or empty hearts
In April, I vow to stay by your side forever...

10. Poem: OH, APRIL RETURNS - Hoàng Chẩm
OH, APRIL RETURNS
Hoàng Chẩm
I share with you a season of white lilies
The early summer comes with eyes longing to meet
How deeply I miss those nights... aching with longing
Leaving the late-night light on, hoping for a long-lasting bond
You may have aged, but my love for you feels new
Like a rose soaring, its flight unbroken
Your lips have curved from many storms
Yet a faint sign of fading, still untouched by intoxication
I share with you the April air filled with perfume
Nighttime dew gently dissolves amidst the anticipation
The leaves, in their yearning, rest softly on a street corner
You spend the night... leaving behind a trace of red, a sign of parting
A little faded red like a lullaby to the rest of life
Halfway through, it's never too late for you
Love so fresh, like the night that soaks in the sunlight
The distance ahead... there, your love burns bright

11. Poem: APRIL, SLOWLY, PLEASE! - Phạm Quang Thu
APRIL, SLOWLY, PLEASE!
Phạm Quang Thu
April burns with the blaze of unspoken love
The phoenix blooms, hard to bear the day of parting
The sound of the old drum lingers, binding us to the days gone by
The blackboard has turned into a shadow of haunting memories
Oh, the purple Langer tree paints the sky
Oh, the maple leaves glisten in shades of golden brown
And the schoolyard bakes under the scorching sun
The lone sparrow calls, distant from its flock
One day, the weight of my bag will no longer be heavy
One day, the yearbook will capture poetic verses
All anger will fade, turning into longing
The yearbook pages dream of the day we meet again
Oh April, do you know the ache in my heart?
Who leaves, and who will stay gone forever?
Why do I miss the school, the classroom, intoxicated by memories?
Why do I long for the days with attendance numbers?
Let me send my feet to the clouds of longing
Let me dream of someone becoming a partner for life
Let me be drunk with the silent cry of a lone bird
Who could ever know this fading rose is far away
Oh April, you are driving me crazy!
Slow down, let me hold onto this lingering love!

12. Poem: APRIL SONG - Nghĩa Trần
APRIL SONG
Poem: Nghĩa Trần
I sit and watch the soft rays of the setting sun
Love comes from distant, unfamiliar places
The breeze gently caresses a leaf
As the sunset drops and the clouds scatter golden threads
The path of love stretches far and wide
How can one find a truly loyal companion?
Give happiness and vow to share it forever
For a lifetime of love that cannot be torn apart
April arrives suddenly, with summer letting go
The rain hastily falls outside, barely a drizzle
The phoenix showers, bees circle around and sip nectar
The cicadas sing a song so full of sincerity
In the schoolyard, delicate steps stand out
The white blouse sways with the breeze
Oh, the memories of young love, nervous and shy
Eyes meet, souls rush to follow each other.

13. Poem: THE LONGING OF APRIL - Huỳnh Minh Nhật
THE LONGING OF APRIL
Huỳnh Minh Nhật
April has come, has summer arrived yet?
The sky today feels so unfamiliar
The sun no longer sings its sultry love song
Calling for rain on the paths you walked.
Where have all the flowers of April gone?
Where is the rain and sunshine, where is the time to remember?
Who pressed the petals into the last pages of notebooks?
Now they have withered, a distant memory...
The wind sighs, rocking memories that are both full and empty
The streets are lonely, so the evening falls swiftly
I ache for all the words I never said
Wrapped in my heart are dreams unfulfilled.
Will summer return to the fragile years?
Will the blue sky fill the gaze of my eyes?
Though we know that parting is forever,
Why does my heart ache so, endlessly...?

14. Poem: THE ASPIRATION OF APRIL - Đồng Kế
THE ASPIRATION OF APRIL
Đồng Kế
The birds gather to fly back to their nests
The sweet aroma of rice sprouts fills the air
The twilight glow paints the riverbank in shades of purple
Flowers shyly bloom on the green fields.
The people at the village’s end bustle and move
Herds of cattle lazily return from grazing
Kites still float leisurely on the dyke
All hopes and dreams are alive, carried by the wind.
It is April in our homeland
Every branch and blade of grass is intoxicated with life
The young men laugh and chatter joyously
While the fresh, plump lips of young women glow with beauty.
The lovebirds in the garden are blooming with fruit
The dove’s eyes aren’t shy about casting loving glances
The moon will rise, and under the courtyard’s shadow
We will make plans for our future, my dear!

15. Poem: WANDERING THOUGHTS OF APRIL - Mi Pha
WANDERING THOUGHTS OF APRIL
Mi Pha
April, who are you waiting for at the street corner?
The purple flowers will blossom into verses
And a melody will rise again!
The tale of the purple flowers, innocent and naive.
April, oh April, waiting for the butterflies
Flowers revealing love, gracefully soaring
Fluttering wings, filled with bliss
And the soul drifts with the clouds at the horizon.
Come back, let’s share sweet words
Our hearts, sincere and full of passion
The long road, the steep climb, we care not
Our fingers interlaced, taking the winding path.
The evening falls, the young moon slowly appears
April, oh April, softly calling your name
The wind carries it, resonating like a distant echo
Perhaps it’s the adventurous song of the cricket.
In the land of memories, someone is still holding on
Come back here, let us meet and complete it
The corner of the street, so narrow
A silhouette, slender and fragile, waiting patiently.

16. Poem: APRIL RAIN - Bách Hợp Hoa
APRIL RAIN
Bách Hợp Hoa
April arrives with rain, filling the roads
For spring, in its confusion, retreats afar
The rain keeps falling, making the old paths fade
Calling for flowers to bloom with burning passion.
April comes, awakening the warmth of love
As if many days had faded into the cold
The sun rises to make buds blossom with beauty
Sweetly fragrant, love dances in the dreams of wishes.
April arrives, the boat floats along the stream
Carrying love to a faraway shore
Remember the kiss, the pink hue of affection
The moment of connection, basked in golden sunlight.
April comes, making our love forever beautiful
With bright smiles, we turn dreams into reality
April comes... as beautiful as the words of poetry
Still waiting... for the night to burn with passion!!!

17. Poem: APRIL COMES - Thảo Nguyên Xanh
APRIL COMES
Thảo Nguyên Xanh
April arrives with a longing, delicate and frail
For many years, it still stirs strangely
Fragments of a heart, foolishly pieced together
How can I erase these wounds so deep?
In the dark of night, I wander lost and aimless
Searching for the shadow of someone gone
The thin cloth flutters in the wind
My body chilled by a sudden, unexpected rain.
April arrives, gently soothing my eyes
Do not shed tears for what has passed
For happiness is never permanent
Even reunions must one day come to an end.
No more tears, wipe away the blurred sorrow
The one from the past is perhaps at peace
Do not worry, nor fret over regrets
For even they must sail away to new horizons.
April arrives, let us make a promise, my friend
For smiles to blossom with joy and happiness
For dreams to materialize into reality
Let’s return to the days of ink and “paper planes”.
Words of love written in hasty letters
Hidden in desk drawers, unspoken yet shared
April arrives, let us make those promises
Hurry now, lest youth slip away...

18. Poem: THE HEART IS PROMISED IN APRIL! - Bích Mai Phan
THE HEART IS PROMISED IN APRIL!
Bích Mai Phan
April has just begun, who missed the March promise?
The clouds still drift, the sun hesitates, dripping softly
A sudden shower, hidden behind the curtain of water
Pouring out the quiet sorrow, just exchanged in my hands...
The tree says stop, yet the wind keeps swaying
The leaves wonder where to fall, as the earth rejects them?
Just moments ago, love was still warm
But from the heart, it cools and fades from my lips!
In early April, does the street forget its past?
Or does it still remember the laughter, confused and shy?
You spread your hands to count the seasons, adding another year
The wild wind presses the grass, kissing your lips!
April is here, just like March
The sky remains round, the earth still square, as it has always been
The rain suddenly tears through the clouds, giving a clear view
You laugh, your heart still waiting for April!

19. Poem: LOVING APRIL - Giọt Mưa Thu
LOVING APRIL.
Poetry by Giọt Mưa Thu
April has arrived... you know it, don’t you?
The heavy rain, spring’s farewell, not here to stay.
April arrives, landing on the doorstep,
The petals of the Sưa flower fall at the end of the street.
April is here... you know it, don’t you?
The lilies bloom, proudly showing their white dress.
The fragrance of grapefruit lingers, intoxicated, weaving in the air.
Summer hesitates, weaving the shimmering rays of sunshine.
April has come... you know it, don’t you?
The afternoon tilts, casting dreams in rosy waves.
Those who missed the promise now await the season of blooming phoenix flowers.
The melody of the season...
Welcomes the beloved April...!!!

20. Poem: ONLY BECAUSE OF APRIL - Trần Thanh Nhàn
ONLY BECAUSE OF APRIL
Trần Thanh Nhàn
You lied to me
That April would bring me white lilies
Fragile in the sun, is it me or the flower?
I waited for you, longing through March
The sun just rose, fading the last of the ban flowers
The purple color quickly fades away!
April comes, the sky and earth vast
The rain lightly drizzles, the road slick and wet
Tripping over a love affair
Leaving me silent
Wiping away the smudged memories
April arrives, making my heart ache
The rainwater, tasteless, lacks meaning!
April arrives, and someone leaves
When the lilies bloom once more on the streets
Pure white like a love in its infancy
The sweet fragrance, deeply intoxicating
Life is a matter of fate and debt
I clumsily mend my aching heart
Love is never at fault
Only because of April!
