1. Visiting Cúc Phương
Have you visited Cúc Phương?
To listen to the wind still lingering in the afternoon forest
Have you watched the wild and free landscape?
Let your soul wander in the endless expanse.
Walking through the vast and endless paths
The afternoon sun spreads its warm glow on the path
The afternoon is turning a deep green
Listening to the peaceful sound of the clear stream.
This afternoon, visiting Cúc Phương
Where the birds’ voices softly whisper in the distance
The sound of a langur’s call welcomes you
There, a herd of deer runs through, leaves fluttering to the ground.
The evening seems to drop its sound gently
Time stands still, each step full of emotion
Do you hear the faint sound of water flowing from afar?
The whispering of the stream echoes softly through the hills.
Cúc Phương sends its song
And with it, the sound of a flute echoes in the heart.

2. Ninh Bình Homeland Love Poem
Let’s return together to Ninh Bình
Where Tràng An’s stunning landscape enchants the soul
The ancient Hoa Lư city still stands proud
The presence of King Đinh and his royal robes remain vivid
Let’s ascend to Bái Đính and clasp our hands in prayer
The temple bells echo, carried by the clouds to the heavens
Passing through Ba Dội Pass, I remember you
The poet’s soul lingers, bringing joy to the world
Who will visit Phát Diệm, our homeland?
To admire the stone cathedral, the hymns soft and divine
The green sunlight reflects off Cánh Diều mountain
Water and land, land and water, dreams waiting to be realized
Boat, oh boat! Do you remember Hoàng Long?
The river of my homeland flows forever, clear and pure
Cúc Phương’s forests bloom, flowers fresh and bright
Ninh Bình calls, inviting all from far and wide.

3. The Ancient Citadel
Hoa Lư, the imperial capital of the kings
Clouds drift over the mountains, guarding the border
Hoàng Long awakens, waves of history rise after a thousand years
The Dragon and Horse chase the path of the ancient kings.
The divine lion watches over the eastern horizon
From the southern skies, the sound of a shepherd’s flute echoes
The flags of the past still cast their shadows
Golden dragons weave through the emptiness of the sky.

4. The Promise of Spring
I carved the stone to form Tam Cốc
You stirred the waters to make them crystal clear
We return together in the springtime
To enjoy the season, united and happy.
The Vân River flows in a deep green
The peaks of Thúy Sơn hold the deepest of hearts
For eternity, they are entwined
The mountains reflected in the water, clouds floating above.
Tam Cốc invites travelers to fall in love
Bích Động showcases shimmering stalactites
Together, we’ll capture moments in photos
Our homeland, a beautiful and poetic scene.
The Đáy River crashes against the shores
Its banks heavy with fertile soil
The lush rice fields and vibrant crops
The fields bloom with flowers of unparalleled beauty.

5. The Promise of Tràng An
Who carved the stone to form Tam Cốc?
Who stirred the waters to create Tràng An?
Autumn arrives with a gentle breeze
The mountains and waters, like a painted masterpiece.
The boat glides smoothly, floating between clouds and mountains
The oars gently stir, the waters stretch endlessly
It feels as if we’ve entered a heavenly realm
Passing through the Dark Cave, the autumn colors surprise us.
The water flows gently from the mountain cracks
The sound of the oar echoes softly through the landscape
Looking up at the cliffs, steep and high
The clusters of white flowers glisten in the autumn sun.
Who will visit Tràng An and Tam Cốc?
With Ninh Bình, the land of the ancient capital
Our ancestors built a prosperous empire
A thousand years of culture await your visit.

About my homeland, will you visit or not?

And the famous Green Rice, known far and wide!
My homeland is peaceful and gentle
Full of deep, heartfelt rural warmth
Even if you leave one day
Know that you'll carry a piece of it in your heart!
On summer nights, gaze at the hanging moon
If you love this place, come home!

8. A Sweet Dream
Who wrote the charming poem about Tam Coc
To guide my steps to Ninh Hai
In a peaceful village full of affection
Where the bustling city yearns to be
The riverside, how long has it been
Its green inviting waves calling
For travelers to wait at the dock
The boatwoman’s smile is a joyful greeting
The village’s communal hall gathers at dawn
Sharing both joy and sorrow with one another
As work begins, the river blooms
Boats are full, with prosperity flowing through
On Van Lam Street, strangers meet
Warm greetings, a melody of friendship
Though they are unknown, they feel like family
So that one can never forget the place…
The evening song, sweet and soothing
Dreaming of my homeland dyed in Ninh Hai’s hues
Chasing away the darkness with a smile
The river flows gently, calm and serene.

Still intact in the temples and relics
Majestic as if hearing news of victory...
My hometown is beautiful with many famous landmarks

BÁI ĐÍNH, renowned across the land
HOÀNG LONG river meanders, mountains and rivers forming a perfect stretch

The purple stones reflecting the soul of my motherland
The breeze blows, gently bringing the evening
Alone, I silently wait for your news...

12. Trang An, A Sacred Land
Trang An, the ancient capital with its mountains and rivers
The mysterious river, flowing softly into the distant mist
The mountains and lakes, a perfect romantic scenery
The sacred caves, where the stone stalactites take the shape of the Buddha.
The bamboo boat gently glides along the water
With each step up the hill, the sound of the bell echoes
A land of holiness and reverence
With Cố Viên and Tam Cốc by the Vân River.
Far away, the Thúy mountains stand with their lush green
The Bái Đính temple, sometimes near, sometimes far
A sacred place, bridging all realms
Come, and pay your respects to the Goddess of Mercy.
Listen to the thousand bells ringing
Trang An, where the wise gather
In a world full of confusion
Escape from the mundane, come here, to this sacred land.
From all directions, prayers are offered for this land
For a thousand years, it remains bathed in the ethereal clouds of the sacred realm...
- Vũ Đan Thành -

13. Gia Viễn, My Hometown
The land of Gia Viễn, my hometown, once full of stagnant waters
Two rice harvests, with crops standing uncertain
From the time when a dyke was built to stop the water's flow
The rice fields, each grain heavy with its burden
A peaceful village bathed in the early morning sun
This spring, will you visit with me?
The land of Gia Viễn
With its ancient pagodas
The Bái Đính Temple, draped in mist and smoke for a thousand years
The waters of Trang An reflect the blue sky, casting shadows
Come with me
Up to the mountains in the clouds
History has left its mark here, on the walls and fortresses
The stone church stands in grandeur
On Vân Long mountain, there's a fairy no one has ever found
I wish to ask the white clouds drifting slowly
As a herd of goats gently sway through the evening steps
The sunset tilts, casting shadows of trees
A poem passed through here, pausing for a while
Written for a long time but still unsaid
For I have lost my way
Lost in the river of dreams
The soft gurgling sound
Whose boat drifts in the mountains?
The paddle floats gently along the river, brushing the reed flowers' shadows.
The poem was written about my hometown, Gia Viễn
Its beginning and end are unknown
In Ninh Bình, near Nho Quan
Cúc Phương Forest
I had promised long ago...
- Vũ Đan Thành -

14. Ninh Bình, My Homeland
Who will visit Tam Cốc with me?
Remember to visit Bích Động, and don't forget Kênh Gà
The small, majestic mountains here
The land version of Ha Long Bay is truly found here
Trang An with its winding streams
On one side, Bái Đính; on the other, the Đền Đinh
Trường Yên, where the mountains cast shimmering shadows
The Mã Yên Hill, ever etched in the clouds
Here stands the ancient Hoa Lư
The former capital, still echoing its glory from the past
Hoàng Long, no matter the weather
The water mirrors the ancient dynasty’s former presence
Who remembers those days?
Cúc Phương, with its towering trees
The ancient gibbons sing, while birds chirp
Visitors come to discover the true wilderness here
And there is Dục Thúy, so beautiful
Where the temple’s smoke rises from the mountain base
On the path, you meet the poetry of Hán Siêu
And the verses of many great poets
Who will remember the Vân River?
The boat’s shadow mirrors Vân Nga’s form as it welcomes visitors
Lê Hoàn, from the battlefields
Returns victorious, handing over his royal robe
Have you been to Phát Diệm?
The stone church still stands tall under the sky
Sông Trinh, Núi Bảng, do you know?
Yên Mô, Tam Điệp—places once filled with echoes
Ninh Bình is like a lovely maiden
With many scenic spots that captivate the heart
Whoever goes, remember the days
Ninh Bình will always be here, arms open to welcome you.

15. Ninh Bình Inside Me
The traveler forgets the boat dock
Drinking the sun of Thanh Hóa, yet drunk by Ninh Bình's rain
Flowers and grass are like butterflies, full of love
The clouds seem to dream, the sunset's form appears
Listen to someone singing a sorrowful tune
Which stirs the soul with the rhythm of the homeland
The dust of time, the hardships of the years
Far from home, walking through foreign lands
The moonflower blooms with deep thoughts
While the morning shyly hides the last letter of the night
Who crosses Gia Viễn, Nho Quan?
Their tears sparkle on their curved eyelashes
The river remains, unchanged by time
The boat waits at the dock for unwavering loyalty
Yên Mô, Yên Khánh, a vast region
Those who leave, their hearts stay with the waters and mountains
Even if the moon is full
It can never compare to a mother's love for her child
Remember those who cross the sea to find their way
Creating a land between the sky of Kim Sơn
Smelling the salty air, a feeling of infinity
Remembering the great sea, the source of all things
Hoa Lư, the ancient land of kings
Where the mountains still hold the wild beauty of past times
This is where the proud history is written
To return to the sweet memories of love
Tam Điệp, where smoke rises from fields
Where Tây Sơn once blocked the Qing army's path
People and mountains together held the fort
Their valor will be remembered throughout history
Remember the man in simple clothes, Quang Trung
A heart full of love for the country, a fiery will to defeat the enemy
Where can one accept imprisonment?
The nation’s borders will remain strong for eternity
Oh, the gentle mountain girl
May our love be woven with the red thread of destiny
Visit the Sông Hồng biosphere
Trang An, Bái Đính, Vân Long, Vân Trình
Taste the goat meat of Ninh Bình
After the meal, you will yearn for the poet's sentiment
Cúc Phương, a fairyland on earth
Tam Cốc, Bích Động, a place to pause and reflect
Kim Sơn wine, rich with the spirit of the land
Sweet Đồng Giao pineapples, forgotten moments of time
Ninh Bình, the land of nature's beauty
The mountains, the clouds, the trees, all weave the ties of human connection.
- Phan Thanh Long -

16. Tràng An's Majestic Scenery
Mountains rise in endless layers,
With cool, clear springs that flow endlessly,
The water flows through nine grand caves,
Natural limestone caves with stunning, unique shapes.
Boats cross back and forth all the time,
Tourists from distant places arrive in droves,
The beautiful scenery of rivers and mountains stretches far,
King Đinh of the past was truly wise.
He chose this sacred land,
Mountains shielded the generals, forests surrounded the enemies,
Defeating invaders, driving them away,
The Đinh, Lê, and Trần dynasties flourished.
The capital moved to Thăng Long,
Establishing a heroic Vietnamese dynasty,
Tràng An’s scenic beauty was legendary,
It was a Halong Bay on land, infinitely beautiful and glorious.
Mountains and rivers blend harmoniously,
Tràng An’s famous scenery in Ninh Bình shines bright!

17. Coming to Tràng An
Tràng An – Bái Đính in the spring,
People, vehicles, boats sailing back and forth,
The earth, the deep rivers, and towering mountains,
Clouds circle Buddha’s figure, and the winds greet visitors.
Offering prayers at the temple, sightseeing in the New Year,
Praising those who skillfully unite the world with eternity.
The mountains and rivers, Buddha and people,
Form the brilliant heritage site of Tràng An.

The warmth of human kindness remains, filled with love.

Tràng An unfolds, a burst of colors bright,
My hometown's landscape is gentle and full of grace.
Hand in hand, we stroll beneath the rosy light,

I invite you to walk beside me, together.
Bái Đính temple’s beauty endures for generations,
Come, let’s pray for happiness and peace,
The Buddha’s radiant glow guides us with hope,
The statues of Arhats, vast and heavy as bronze.

The wooden bridge stands, clear in the cool water’s flow,
As night falls, we listen to the ocean’s song,
The soft, soothing melody of the breeze’s light music.
Come, visit Ninh Bình, my homeland,
Listen to the soulful Xẩm music that lingers in memory.
Once you come, you’ll long to return again,
The land of Ninh Bình will forever remain in my heart.

19. Ninh Bình, My Mother's Homeland
Greetings from all over the country,
Come to Ninh Bình, where mountains and reeds grow.
In the past, Bộ Lĩnh stood tall,
Unifying twelve regions with peaceful songs.
Bái Đính Temple, a sanctuary of vast spiritual space,
No matter the distance, nothing can stop one.
With a united heart, we seek the Buddha’s guidance,
Finding peace in moments of doubt.
Within the beauty hidden in the motherland,
Once, the youthful fame rang far and wide,
The ancient capital stands firm, a proud city,
Where high mountains and pure, sacred waters reside.
The sound of a village girl’s voice, so close and sweet,
Echoes from afar, inviting an adventure.
Gently, the moonlight shines through the mist,
The golden leaves fall softly in the autumn breeze.
Pause your steps, stop at the small dock,
In this peaceful landscape, where clouds and winds greet you.
Words of love, messages to share,
Come and explore this place, even if just once!

20. The Warmth of Homeland
Yên Mô, a peaceful land
With many hardships faced throughout life
Today, laughter fills the air
With joy and prosperity, people cheer
A land of tranquility and harmony
Where the bond between people and land is unbreakable
The villages, the hamlets, the towns
Now stand tall and beautiful, better than before
Remember the hard days of sweat and tears
When the fields were rough and dry
The mother’s back, burdened with toil
Yet those days have passed
Yên Mô now moves forward, in progress and unity
The people’s hearts are harmonious, side by side
With deep love and loyalty that lasts forever
If you’re far from home, remember and look forward to reunion
Yên Mô, beloved, forever cherished...
