1. New Year's Eve in the City
Spring has arrived in the city's crossroads
In the southern land, the yellow apricot buds begin to bloom
It's strange how the sun shines so brightly
Making me long for the spring of my northern village
In Saigon, the fading peach blossoms quietly remind me
Of all the springs spent far away from home
The green sticky rice cakes still lead the way back
Who still remembers the promises of the old year?
Walking beside you gently through the small streets
In the fragrance of spring, as the earth and sky glow
Your soft hair intertwined with the falling dew
On this night, longing for the words we promised
Hand in hand, feeling the anticipation of New Year's Eve
The sacred moment when heaven and earth unite
A passionate kiss we keep just for ourselves
Sending off the old year in a sea of happiness.
Poetry by Hương MRS - Le
On the first day of Tet, January 25, 2020, HCM City

2. And the Spring Still Remains...
Spring flies with a soft kiss
It feels like a dream that lulls with deep love
I return to gather the vastness
Leaning on the old days, embracing the essence of spring
Spring walks through both distant and near
Listening to the leaves and grass, a dew drop falls
It stirs my heart with a strange emotion
Bringing warmth, awakening the senses of love
The afternoon hair catches the morning dew
The heart longs for the birth of a new beginning
Loving you rekindles the end of the day
Filling the night with the essence of love’s season.
Poetry by Hoàng Chẩm
On the 3rd day of Tet, Year of the Rat

3. Spring Dreams
Although I am no longer a naive child
I still love to give red envelopes to keep the memory of childhood
Spring arrives, weaving countless dreams
Far away, I keep waiting, full of hope
It seems that this is the joy of life
Which makes old age suddenly feel young again.
Poetry by Hồ Viết Bình

4. My Love
I hold your image close, still complete
The sweet scent of life intoxicates me
The soul of poetry rests in every song
Each word is painted with the melody of love
The promise of love makes my heart flutter
The vow of affection fills me with joy
Every night, I ache with longing
I vow to always be by your side, never to change.

5. When Will You Return...
The swallow lingers, staying with the season of love
Forgetting to bring the sun to warm the northern garden
A yellow apricot branch comforts those who can't return home for Tet
How long will it take to leave behind the nostalgia of life together?
Spring hesitates, hiding by the rows of areca trees
Why not pick some betel leaves for mother to make the phoenix wings?
Is it because we lost our way, missing the ferry that crosses too late
Or is it the bustling streets, where footsteps linger in the air?
It seems that you have gone with the season and forgotten the old paths
Forgot the song that always carried the deepest of emotions
The longing gradually fades with the passing years, and spring becomes a memory
What once felt familiar now seems strange in the rush of life.
When will we walk down these familiar paths again?
Feeling the scent of spring blended in your hair
Tender love, hands intertwined, exchanging gentle glances
Or will that never happen...?
Poetry by Nguyễn Thị Hồng Hà

6. The First Writing of the Spring
On New Year's Eve, I hear the lotus steps so gently
The sound of my slippers stirs the spring buds
The garden of your love opens with the warmth of a kiss
The heart blooms with roses, wide and full of joy.
Poetry by Tự Hàn

7. The First Writing, Wishing for Poetry
The first writing of the Spring, inspired by the lands and waters
Hoping that this year’s poetry will grow and become more complete
The words, succinct and full of imagery
Form and rhythm perfected, the music sounding crisp
Expanding literature to gain more friends
Learning kindness, virtue, and patience, keeping a pure heart
Following the path of wisdom through poetry and literature
Living healthily, growing old gracefully, and seeing all wishes fulfilled.
Poetry by Nguyễn Đình Hưng

8. The Spring Paradise
The dream ends, slowly fading as we awake
The eyes still half-closed, has spring arrived already?
Love blooms, with tender green shoots reaching for the sky
The flowers gently open, swaying lightly, caught in surprise
The breeze moves the clouds high above, so gently
Drifting, painting the sky with deep blue hues
Listening to the soft lullaby of the hammock
The spring season is rushing to bloom with its buds
The cold past retreats into slumber
Giving way to the warmth of spring’s breeze
The streets change their clothes, almost in disbelief
Showcasing the vibrant red blossoms of the flamboyant tree
Back in the countryside, the hustle of the market fills the air
The bananas hang in bunches near the chicken’s coop
By the betel tree, the old woman idly gazes
The strong lime scent reminds of the rush of the past season
The children run freely, celebrating the festival
Laughing, showing off their new clothes swaying in the breeze
Watching tug-of-war, wrestling in the yard
Admiring the cockfights, the carousel spinning, and the folk songs
Spring arrives, flowing through every alley
Spring, rich in warmth, love, and happiness
Spring takes us to a paradise on earth
Bringing rosy cheeks and fiery lips to life
Poetry by Trịnh Thanh Hằng

9. January
January, a tender month, like a new sprout
Your lips blush like the first peach blossoms in the morning
The rain falls, dampening someone’s lashes
Your bright eyes reflecting a pure world
January calls spring with the sun's embrace
Not fearing the cold of winter that bites the hands
The playful breeze dances like a mischievous smile
We fumble, seeking the warmth of your soft hand
January beckons the cotton flower to bloom
Lighting up the sky, burning red with dreams
A single spring bud blooms at the branch’s tip
I rush to pluck it, hiding it in the season's naive innocence
January arrives, leaving behind the yellow of mustard flowers
Along the riverbanks, I wait for someone to return
The seasonal winds cannot extinguish my burning heart
I long for the old figure to come back
The boat drifts, swaying as it nears the shore
Do you still remember those past Januaries?
The pomelo blossoms hang low, swaying gently
Folk songs anchor the feet of the young maiden
You walk, tangled in the sun’s warmth
While my spirit drifts, lost in the blue skies
The birds chirp merrily, hopping from branch to branch
But I remain, holding on to my dreams
January lingers at the end of the road
The peach blossom petals slowly fall, leaving traces of red
I have waited for you through silent springs
Yearning for the fading glow of the early sunlight on the petals...
Poetry by Trần Thanh Nhàn

10. The First Stroke...
The first stroke of the year, a warm greeting to dear friends
Poetry and artistry embrace fate and grace... Destiny
Gathering at 'LOTUS BLOSSOM,' we drink deeply from the well of dreams
Poetry flows like a river, touching every corner of the land
Let the soul float with the spring breeze, guided by the brush
Blending into the wild beauty of nature
Welcoming the new year with poetic unity
Sketching a branch of poetry to fulfill the deepest desires...

11. The Sky and Earth Begin the Writing
The sun's first rays mark the start of writing, the sky turns blue
Young sprouts begin their journey, the earth welcomes the spring
Writing brings distance close, connecting souls from far and wide
Writing sends joy to those in the golden depths
Rich or poor, we all share the same fate
Who owns the earth or sky alone?...
Is loneliness real?
Today, I begin my writing, grounded in myself
Free to unite with the earth and the sky...
And thus, it becomes poetry!
Poetry by Phan Huy Hùng

12. Like Spring Flowers
You are as beautiful as a rainbow of many colors
Oh Spring, gentle like a smiling lip
Countless flowers bloom, filling the air with fragrance
You
the beloved stream that will always stay in my heart
The day just began, the sun rising
The green is vibrant
You are like a flower
covering a smile
Next to
the green roots, a few late wishes
More love for life
one more sound of life flowing
Spring is like this
bright blue like jade
You
and I, two pieces of a puzzle
Far apart
But one morning
time softly whispers
Calling quietly
Step into life
We
Hold the falling petals of a flower.

13. Red Spring
The swallows soar and dance in the bright blue sky,
Heralding the peaceful spring by the window,
Rousing the buds of spring, full of promise,
Carrying golden sunlight, spreading far and wide.
With excitement, we hear the "quan họ" song echoing,
The lively voices of the four directions celebrating the festival.
Someone is preparing a stall, while the wind speaks,
Sharing words of love near the old banyan tree shop.
She, spring, is soft, graceful, and elegant,
Children joyfully show off their bright clothes,
Eyes meet, exchanged with warmth and longing...
Oh red spring...guiding us with a gentle melody of joy.
Poetry by Trần Thị Tĩnh

14. The Spring Remains After Tết
Tết has passed, but spring lingers on,
Gifted to the world with countless vibrant hues,
Filling hearts with love, sharing warmth and joy,
Making life more beautiful for all.
Spring stays behind, adorning trees with tender leaves,
As trees shed their old leaves, weary yet renewed,
Fallen flowers quietly rest beneath the old roots,
Preparing for summer's sweet fruits to ripen.
Spring takes its time, not rushing, lingering,
Recalling the warmth of the stove, the green bánh chưng,
Embracing families gathered in joy,
Honoring ancestors with sincere hearts.
Spring softly clings, hiding deep within hearts,
Veiling sorrow with forgotten memories,
Holding onto peace and tranquility,
So that spring can weave the most beautiful life tapestry.
Poetry by Trương Túy Anh

15. Spring's First Light
On the eve of the new year, a mat of flowers is spread,
We sit together, sharing a cup of tea,
Reflecting on the past and embracing the new,
Laughing loudly, ignoring wealth or poverty—optimism prevails.
Looking back at the struggles we've faced,
Turning forward towards the uncertain path ahead,
Love and sharing will guide us through,
And the beauty of human connection will bloom.
Poetry by Đinh Thị Quyên

16. Wishes
When guests arrive, wish them a joyful spring,
May your family be blessed with health a hundred times over.
Don’t wish for wealth or discuss finances,
Avoid talk of loans and funding projects.
The debt remains unpaid, lingering in the mind,
Praying for a better life as the new year comes.
My wish for this year: to be free of debts.

17. Welcoming the New Spring
The cold of winter has passed
Spring has arrived with warmth and cheer.
Chrysanthemums, kumquats, and peach blossoms bloom
Camellias and laurel have begun to blossom.
Butterflies and bees flutter with the breeze,
Fruits and vegetables sway in the pink sunlight.
Festivals bring joy to the people,
And celebrations echo through the land.
Poetry by Nguyễn Minh Triết

18. The First Writing of Spring
This morning, the first day of Tết,
The first day of the new year brings joy.
Another year added to our lives,
Spring fills the air, and everywhere is welcoming.
The sounds of laughter and blessings fill the air...
Flowers bloom, new clothes, welcoming Spring.
Warm greetings and heartfelt wishes,
The voice of love draws us closer.
The little ones laugh, hugging tightly,
As they receive lucky money for the new year,
The bills must bear Uncle Hồ's image,
For Uncle Hồ, wise and virtuous, grants us talent.
We accept the gift, dear one!
It is customary at the start of the year to begin with the Spring.
Let us draw a picture of family bonds,
United together, flying with the poetry of love.
Come, flowers and fruits, unite,
And together with the pen, we create this beautiful picture.
The joy of the new year is now complete.
Wishing for a year of peace and happiness.
Look! What a beautiful painting! Wonderful...

19. A Visit to the Pagoda
The starfruit ripens to a golden hue, while the grapefruit remains green.
Fresh leaves and young buds cling to the branches.
The peaceful serenity of the temple at dawn,
Suddenly, the distant sound of the bell rings through the blue sky.
I search for that spring day once more,
The temple gate adorned with vibrant peach blossoms.
The white grapefruit flowers bloom on the left side of the branches,
Filling the air with their delicate fragrance.
Though the fruits are still green and the flowers have yet to bloom,
Only the incense gently carried by the breeze remains.
But I already feel the arrival of spring in the leaves,
Promising a season of intoxicating fragrance.
The new day is gentle at the temple gate,
My heart is light, letting go of all worries.
I pray for peace in the land,
And for every household to embrace a joyous spring.
Poetry by Nguyễn Thị Liên

20. The First Writing of the Year
On the third day of the new year, I sit before the machine,
But the machine stalls, full and empty, the words swirl away!
Hastily, I search for a pen and ink, chasing the elusive letters,
But the ink runs dry, leaving only unfinished strokes!
I grab a brush and continue writing,
Now, these are but faint traces of ink, barely visible!
Poetry by Lợi Nguyễn Thành

21. The First Writing of the Year to Celebrate Spring
With the first strokes of the pen this year, my spirit is unleashed,
Spring arrives, bursting with colorful blossoms and beauty.
Poets dream and send their verses to the world,
Scholars wait, hoping for a life of virtue and honor.
Love fills the air, and we eagerly share moments of joy,
Words exchanged to ease our hearts and lighten our burdens.
The country hums with excitement, welcoming the new year,
Our land remains peaceful, flourishing wonderfully.

22. The First Writing of the Year
With the first strokes of the pen this spring, I write poetry,
Crafting verses, beautiful and endless.
I wish health and strength for my family and friends,
May our studies and work bring our dreams closer.
Springtime fills my writing, enriching the verses,
The country grows prosperous, with ships reaching shore.
Fish and shrimp thrive, crossing waves with ease,
The fields flourish, and the people live in peace.
With the first writing of the year, the song of spring rises,
Life improves, and literature blossoms.
The people and government unite to build our nation,
Vietnam stands strong,
Independent,
Free!
Poetry by Trường Nguyễn

23. Spring
I grind the red ink, painting the sky
No need for wine, art flows on its own
Poetry is born through shared inspiration
Celebrating spring, as friends bloom in joy.
With calm grace, I honor the bonds of love
Stepping gently, I welcome the season's cheer
Letters flow naturally, bringing peace to the heart
Leaving the world’s chaos behind, finding rest.
Gathering happily with grandparents
My pen weaves verses that shine with brilliance
The flowers bloom, vibrant in their beauty
The tides of time echo softly beneath the moon.
Poetry by Phạm Tân Dân

24. Oh, Spring is Here!
The sky is blue, clouds are white, and the sun shines bright.
Spring arrives unexpectedly, knocking at your door.
You open the door and see it there,
Spring has come, you didn’t even know!
The sky with swallows flying by,
Chrysanthemum and peach blossoms bloom with fragrance in the air.
The bees and butterflies flutter around,
Welcoming the new Spring while circling around the flowers.
Your face, so radiant and bright,
It makes my heart skip, falling deep in love.
Your graceful form, full of tenderness and charm,
With you, life is filled with happiness and joy...
Poem by Nguyễn Thị Khánh Hà

At the start of the year, let the pen flow with peace,
Wishing for wealth and prosperity to all.

In the new Spring, let us honor our ancestors,
Bringing New Year wishes to every corner.
With warm smiles and joyful greetings,

27. Colors and Spring
At the start of the year, the pen writes a verse,
The sun has warmed, fulfilling our anticipation.
Spring calls as trees sprout new leaves,
The sky is a canvas of dreams in vibrant blue.
Swallows soar, greeting the blooming flowers,
Butterflies flutter through the lonely air,
Anticipating the arrival of bees,
Chasing their desires in an endless world.
- A response poem
Spring brings the beauty of leaves, like a dream,
The flowers bloom, eagerly waiting.
Bees and butterflies, don’t stray away,
Return to the familiar place and weave poetry.
In the realm of reality, what is the dream?
Love entwines, a beauty beyond measure.
Let not the colors of spring be forgotten,
For a single moment can be revered for eternity.
Poetry by Quế Nguyễn

28. The First Pen of Spring
Poetry borrows the spirit of Spring to begin the pen’s work,
We learn from each other to craft beautiful verses.
Art and technique weave through this poetry,
Capturing the beauty of the early Spring days:
Flowers release their sweet fragrance for the New Year,
The pink lotus blooms, symbolizing Vietnam’s essence.
Literature and art, united in the lotus flower,
The club welcomes Spring, always waiting for its return!
Poetry by Hoàng Minh Tuấn
