Today, educational institutions from kindergartens to primary and secondary schools often operate a half-day meal program. As a result, schools are in urgent need of skilled personnel in dietary management, with at least a basic qualification in food preparation and nutrition to ensure safe, hygienic, and scientifically balanced meals for students.
In response to this demand, Van Lang Vocational College in Hanoi offers a dietary management course to equip students with fundamental knowledge on meal planning, food selection, and balancing portions to ensure the meals provided to students are nutritious and suitable for their needs.
The course also covers snack preparation, beverage mixing, and organizing meals and parties for children in the school’s half-day meal program. Students will gain practical skills in all aspects of kitchen operations, maintaining hygiene standards and preparing meals according to student meal plans.
The course consists of 300 hours of training, including 86 hours of theory and 214 hours of hands-on practice, across 10 well-structured subjects. Students will develop both theoretical knowledge and practical culinary skills, preparing them to be proficient in dietary management.
Upon completion, graduates will receive a certificate in “Basic Culinary Techniques for Dietary Management,” accredited by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, valid nationwide.
