1. Vietnamese Women's Day 20/10 Speech by Local Authorities (No. 4)
Honorable delegates!
Dear colleagues!
First and foremost, on behalf of the local party and leadership of our area............ (name of the organizing unit), I would like to extend my heartfelt wishes for health and happiness to all of you and our female colleagues.
Dear friends, on October 20, 1930, the Vietnam Women's Anti-Imperialist Union (now known as the Vietnam Women's Union) was officially founded. From that day, October 20th became a day to honor Vietnamese women.
Today, with great joy and pride, women across the country commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 – October 20, 20xx).
Our local community proudly celebrates Vietnam Women's Day 20/10. Ladies and gentlemen, during the war, Vietnamese women displayed unwavering courage. They were the backbone of the home front and also fought in the frontlines, embodying the spirit of 'when the enemy arrives, women fight'. We are grateful to the heroic Vietnamese mothers who shed their tears three times as they sent their children away and silently wept in the face of war, giving us the independence and freedom we cherish today. In times of peace, Vietnamese women, with their diligence, creativity, intelligence, and resilience, have risen to master knowledge, science, and technology while never forgetting their maternal role. We can see that across political, economic, cultural, and sporting forums, as well as around the family dinner table, the presence of great women remains indispensable.
Throughout their struggles, they have preserved and truly deserve the eight golden words given by President Hồ: 'HEROIC - UNYIELDING - LOYAL - RESPONSIBLE'.
In our local community, too, women continue to play a significant role in all fields and tasks. Today, we are gathered here to express our deep gratitude to these extraordinary women.
On behalf of the local leadership, I would like to thank and express my admiration for the mothers, wives, sisters, and daughters who have contributed their efforts to the growth of our community today. I hope that women will continue to advance the collective movement, contributing even more to the development of our area. I also hope that the women's association will deepen its care for the lives, thoughts, and aspirations of all women, assisting those who are still facing difficulties.
Once again, I wish you all good health and happiness, and may you have a warm and joyful celebration surrounded by loved ones and family.
Thank you very much!

2. 20/10 Speech by Local Authorities (No. 1)
Esteemed delegates,
Dear members of the Women's Association,
Today, ........ we are celebrating the ........th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (20/10/1930 - ..........). On behalf of the Party Committee and the local government, I would like to extend my sincere greetings and best wishes to all the delegates and women members.
Esteemed delegates,
Dear members of the Women's Association,
Throughout history, Vietnamese women have always embodied the noble qualities that President Hồ once bestowed upon them: “Heroic - Unyielding - Loyal - Responsible.” No matter the position, women have always excelled, utilizing their inherent strength, creativity, and resourcefulness.
They have been fierce fighters against foreign invaders, diligent and creative workers, protectors of the Vietnamese lineage, and promoters of our cultural values, helping to nurture generations of heroes for our nation.
In today’s era, women continue to rise and assert their place. Active and creative in their work, they are honored in society, while never forgetting their vital role in family life.
In recent years, thanks to the attention and guidance from party committees and support from the local government and associations, the movement of our Women's Union has grown and flourished, contributing to the socio-economic development, improving the lives of members, especially those facing significant hardships.
Through various practical movements, models, and specific actions, the Women's Union has implemented well the policies and laws of the Party and State concerning gender equality, supporting women in economic development, building “prosperous, equal, progressive, and happy” families, and effectively managing many initiatives like ..........; actively cooperating in supervising the implementation of policies for women and children.
The key programs and tasks of the Women's Union have progressively shown the important role of advocating for and protecting the rights and legal interests of women. Additionally, women in ..... have always affirmed their crucial role and made significant contributions to the strong and comprehensive development of our area.
Women have displayed the pure ethical qualities of Vietnamese women, living harmoniously, with solidarity and mutual support in both work and life. On behalf of the leadership ...., I would like to warmly commend the accomplishments of the staff, members, and women of .... over the years.
In addition to these achievements, I would like to emphasize some issues that require our attention in the coming period:
All activities of the Women's Union .... must continue to focus on the grassroots, providing tangible benefits for members, ensuring the protection of their legitimate rights and interests, and contributing to the cause of women's liberation and progress.
We must pay more attention to the material and spiritual well-being of women members, especially those from low-income households and those facing particularly difficult circumstances.
I strongly support initiatives that help women members develop their family economies, escape poverty, such as offering loans, which are the most practical and direct ways of improving members' lives.
However, alongside this, the Union must particularly focus on effective monitoring and management of funds related to women's activities to ensure the legal rights and interests of all female members are protected.
We must continue to strengthen and consolidate the organization, encourage, attract, and gather more women into the Union. We need to actively understand the thoughts, wishes, and concerns of our members to address their pressing issues, and improve the effectiveness of propaganda and education, strictly adhering to the Party's policies and the laws of the State.
We should focus on innovating the content and methods of the Union's activities, continue to launch wide-reaching movements, recognize and spread models of excellence in various Union activities, and actively encourage women to participate in building cultural life in their communities, combating crime, and poverty reduction.
I hope that women in ..... will continue to make greater efforts to fulfill their duties, becoming the solid foundation of their families and the entire society. Be confident, overcome challenges, stay proactive and creative, and carry out the campaigns and movements launched by the Women's Union in the future.
Once again, I wish all delegates health and success, and I hope that the Women's Union of ..... will continue to thrive.
May all women members remain healthy, joyful, and happy.
Thank you very much!

3. Speech on Vietnamese Women's Day (20/10) by Local Government (No. 2)
Honorable delegates,
Dear members of the Women's Association,
Today, we are gathered to celebrate the anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union's founding (20/10/1930 - ....). On behalf of the Party Committee and the local Government of ...., I would like to extend my warm greetings and best wishes for health and success to all delegates and members of the Women's Association.
Honorable delegates,
Dear members of the Women's Association,
Throughout Vietnam's history of building and protecting the country, women have made significant contributions. During the two wars of resistance against French and American imperialism, millions of Vietnamese women participated in the noble struggle for national independence and reunification. Many women sent their husbands and children to fight, while thousands joined the armed forces, Youth Volunteers, and ventured into harsh, dangerous territories. Countless women sacrificed their youth for the country's freedom and independence.
As the country entered the era of building and defending the nation, Vietnamese women continued to affirm their roles and made substantial contributions to the success of the country’s renewal process. The achievements of women in labor, production, business, science, education, sports, and the arts continue to bring honor to the nation.
Numerous projects and research results from women have been recognized by both domestic and international organizations. Many women have made essential contributions to the national defense efforts.
Increasing numbers of successful female entrepreneurs excel in business while fulfilling their social responsibilities. Women's participation in the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels has steadily increased.
These achievements confirm that gender equality in Vietnam has been a focus of attention from the Party and State, and has made significant progress, as recognized internationally.
It must be said that the successes our country has achieved, leading to our present prosperity, are in large part due to the immense contributions of Vietnamese women. As President Hồ Chí Minh famously stated: "Vietnam’s glorious rivers and mountains have been embroidered by our women, young and old, making them even more beautiful and splendid."
Dear comrades!
The people of Vietnam wish for every Vietnamese woman, no matter her position or role, to continue striving, creating, spreading positive energy, and affirming her role as she works towards building our nation: a wealthy, powerful, democratic, just, and civilized country.
Today’s woman, in addition to excelling in national affairs, also manages the household, ensuring her children are healthy and well-educated, fulfilling her role as a mother. This illustrates that the workload of women is much heavier than that of men.
Therefore, society and all of us must understand and share the challenges and hardships women face, helping them to progress together.
With the proud history and traditions of Vietnamese women, and with their perseverance, talent, creativity, and hardworking nature, Vietnamese women will continue to make great strides, deserving of the eight golden words given by our Party and beloved President Hồ Chí Minh: "Heroic, unyielding, loyal, responsible."
On this occasion, we extend our sincere gratitude to the delegates for their health and success, and wish the Women's Association of .... continued growth.
We wish all female members health, joy, and happiness.
Thank you very much!

4. Speech for 20/10 by the local government (number 3)
Dear.....
Honored delegates!
Dear comrades!
Today, I am delighted to attend the XX-year anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union. On behalf of the District Party Committee, the People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of our district, I warmly welcome and send my best wishes to the distinguished guests and delegates. On this occasion, I would also like to extend my heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the generations of women in our district. Wishing for a successful ceremony (applause).
Dear delegates!
Dear comrades!
The history of the Vietnamese nation is one of struggle for the establishment and defense of the country. Throughout thousands of years, Vietnamese women have played an essential role in the survival of our nation. From the formation of our Party, it was clear that women were an important force in the revolution, tasked with the mission of liberating the class along with liberating women. On October 20, 1930, the Women's Union was established. Through different revolutionary periods, the women's organization was known by various names, but it remained a steadfast institution for Vietnamese women. Speaking at the 20th Anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 19, 1966), President Ho Chi Minh praised the proud patriotic tradition of Vietnamese women: 'From the first century, when the Trung Sisters raised the flag of revolt, fought against invaders, and saved the people, to the present, whenever the country faces danger, Vietnamese women have always bravely stood up and made significant contributions to the liberation of the nation. Therefore, we have the profound proverb: 'When the enemy comes, even women fight.' The people are deeply grateful to the mothers of both the North and the South who gave birth and raised the heroic generations of our country.'
Particularly, during the two wars of resistance against France and America, Vietnamese women, and especially the women of Lap Thach, made invaluable contributions to the glorious victories of our nation. They are enduring symbols of revolutionary heroism. History will forever remember the heroic images of the 'long-haired soldiers', the indomitable female prisoners, the elderly mothers who dug tunnels to protect cadres, hid wounded soldiers, female militia who shot down enemy jet planes and sank warships, and female youth volunteers who 'lived by the road, died bravely and courageously'. Millions of mothers and wives endured immense sacrifices, encouraged their husbands and children to fight, managed both domestic and national duties, and exhibited resilience, producing and fighting simultaneously. Vietnamese women truly deserve the eight golden words: 'Heroic, indomitable, loyal, and capable,' as well as the global quote: 'Without the sun, roses cannot bloom; without women, there is no love, and without mothers, there are no heroes.'
Proud of the magnificent tradition of women, on the occasion of Vietnam Women's Day, October 20th, when talking about Vietnamese women today, one fact that is certain is: 'The role and position of women in society are steadily rising, and they are contributing more and more to the collective development in all fields.'
Our nation will forever be proud of the Vietnamese woman: 'Capable in public affairs, competent in household matters.' In any field, women excel and carve out a noble and shining image in the history of our nation.
Dear comrades, dear all the women!
The country and the people of Vietnam always hope that every Vietnamese woman, regardless of her position or role, will continue to strive, innovate, spread positive energy, and continue asserting and promoting her role, striving to achieve the goal of building a prosperous, strong, democratic, fair, and civilized country.
Today’s women, in addition to excelling in public affairs, must also manage households, ensuring that children grow up healthy, well-educated, and fulfilling their roles as mothers. This highlights that the workload for women exceeds that of men.
Therefore, society and each of us must empathize with and share the difficulties that women face, helping them to progress.
With the glorious history and tradition of Vietnamese women, through their willpower, talent, dynamism, creativity, and perseverance, Vietnamese women will continue to make stronger advancements, living up to the eight golden words bestowed by the Party and our beloved Uncle Ho: 'Heroic, indomitable, loyal, capable'.
On this occasion, we sincerely thank the delegates for their health and success, and we wish the Women's Union ........ continued development.
We wish all female union members good health, joy, and happiness.
We sincerely thank you!
