1. Speech Honoring the Tradition of October 20th (Speech #4)
Dear comrades,
Dear union members of the school,
I am honored to attend the ceremony celebrating the XX anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union. On behalf of... I warmly welcome and wish good health and happiness to all distinguished guests and delegates. On this occasion, I would also like to send heartfelt greetings and congratulations to all the women of the district. I wish the ceremony great success (cheers).
Dear delegates,
Dear comrades,
Throughout history, women have gradually affirmed their position and role, earning widespread recognition. As President Ho Chi Minh once said, “The glorious land of Vietnam has been enriched by the efforts of Vietnamese women, both young and old, who have tirelessly worked to make it more beautiful and prosperous.” In his immortal will, he wrote, “During the war against the Americans, the diligent women made significant contributions in both battle and production. The Party and Government need to make concrete plans to train, elevate, and assist women so they can take on all roles, including leadership positions. Women themselves must strive to rise.”
With their noble qualities, the women of Vietnam have always shone brightly, regardless of the era or circumstances, contributing to the enhancement of women's roles both in the family and society. Today, women participate more in community activities, gaining access to information, knowledge, legal understanding, and policy awareness. These opportunities allow women to integrate into society better, fostering gender equality. Vietnamese women have always been a proud symbol of the nation. They continue to embody the spirit of “Heroic, indomitable, faithful, capable,” contributing significantly to the nation’s development and protection. Women are also the steadfast foundation of every family, helping to create a prosperous future.
Finally, I wish all of you good health, happiness, and success. May the women always remain joyful, beautiful, strong, and full of life. Live fully, burn brightly, appreciate what you have, and strive to perfect what you lack. Affirm your place in life with sincerity, kindness, loyalty, intelligence, and love.
Thank you for your attention and for the listening of all the women here today!

2. Speech Celebrating the Legacy of October 20th (Speech #5)
Dear comrades,
Dear fellow union members,
Today, I am honored to attend the XXth anniversary celebration of the Vietnam Women's Union. On behalf of... I extend a warm welcome and best wishes for health and happiness to all distinguished guests and delegates. I also wish to send my heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the women of our district. May this event be a great success (cheers).
Dear delegates,
Dear comrades,
The history of the Vietnamese people is defined by our struggle to build and protect the nation. Throughout thousands of years, Vietnamese women have played a vital role in the survival and prosperity of our nation. From the very founding of our Party, women were recognized as a crucial force in the revolution, with the task of liberating both their gender and class. On October 20, 1930, the Women's Union was established, and although its name has evolved over time, it has always been a steadfast organization for Vietnamese women. During all periods of revolution, the Party and President Ho Chi Minh have greatly valued the role of women. As President Ho once said: “The beautiful land of Vietnam has been woven and embroidered by the efforts of women, both young and old, making it even more beautiful and radiant.” In his final will, he wrote: “During the struggle against the Americans to save the nation, women made significant contributions in both the battlefield and production. The Party and Government need practical plans to nurture, promote, and support women in taking on leadership roles. Women must strive to rise.”
Women have become an indispensable part of the success of the Vietnamese revolution, especially during the wars against France and America. In the nation-building process, women have contributed immensely to societal development. They are symbols of revolutionary heroism. History will forever remember the bright images of the “long-haired soldiers,” the courageous female fighters in prison, the mothers digging tunnels to protect comrades, hiding the wounded, the female militia shooting down jets, sinking enemy ships, and the female youth volunteers “living and dying with courage and determination.” Millions of mothers and wives made tremendous sacrifices, encouraging their families to fight, managing both home and nation, and contributing to both production and battle. Vietnamese women rightfully deserve the title “Heroic, indomitable, faithful, capable,” as well as the world-famous quote: “Without the sun, roses cannot bloom; without women, there is no love; and without mothers, there are no heroes.”
With pride in the extraordinary tradition of women, on the occasion of Vietnam Women’s Day, October 20th, it is certain to be acknowledged that: “The role and position of women in society have increasingly been elevated, and they contribute more and more to the development of every field.”
The nation will forever be proud of Vietnamese women: “Excellent in public affairs, perfect at home,” as women excel in every aspect of their role, creating a noble and shining image in the nation’s history.
Women in every era show qualities required by history. It is believed that, with their inherent qualities—compassionate, loyal, and devoted in their roles as wives, mothers, and sisters—they truly deserve to be honored as the most beautiful of people.
In their roles as mothers and wives, they also deserve praise and respect. Behind every lesson plan, there are family responsibilities, children, and the duty of maintaining the warmth of the family. They remind us to love those we cherish. Dear delegates, dear teachers,
October 20th represents a long historical journey for the fight for equality and happiness for Vietnamese women, as women themselves made this day historic. On this October 20th, I wish all the mothers and sisters abundant happiness and health.

With the socio-economic advancements following our country’s renewal, women have increasingly found the opportunity to unlock their full potential and demonstrate the remarkable qualities they have nurtured since childhood, passed down through generations.
For more than XX years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnam Women's Union has motivated women across the country to embrace the traditions of our ancestors, like Ba Trieu and Ba Trung, uniting to overcome challenges, excel in studies, labor, and family life, and contribute to the building and defense of our Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

4. Speech Reflecting on the Legacy of October 20th (Speech #2)
Dear esteemed colleagues in the school's faculty council!
Dear all ladies!
In the spirit of celebrating October 20th, marking the XXth anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Women's Union, today, as we join together in the joy, excitement, and pride felt by women everywhere, the school union has the honor of hosting a grand ceremony to commemorate the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 20XX). On behalf of the union's executive committee and the school's women's division, I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes for health, happiness, and success to all female teachers, staff, and through you, to your daughters, partners, and wives.
Dear comrades!
Throughout every era, Vietnamese women have embodied the noble qualities once bestowed upon them by President Ho Chi Minh: “Heroic, Indomitable, Loyal, and Capable.” Our female heroes throughout history, such as the sisters Trung and Trieu, General Bui Thi Xuan, and Nguyen Thi Dinh, fought valiantly for the independence and freedom of our people. Whether in the fields of labor, family life, or revolutionary struggles, women have always played a key role in shaping our nation. They are the diligent workers, the nurturing mothers, and the unyielding fighters, steadfast and determined in their mission to defend our country, no matter the sacrifices, as seen in figures like Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Vo Thi Sau, and Dr. Dang Thuy Tram. Behind every battle, countless women stood by, waiting for their loved ones to return, sometimes never to see them again—these are the unsung heroines, the mothers of Vietnam.
In any position, women have proven their resilience, creativity, intelligence, and ability to protect and pass on cultural values. They have been the steadfast warriors against foreign invaders, the diligent laborers, the creative minds, and the backbone of our nation’s development, continuously producing generations of heroes.
Recognizing the importance of women, the Communist Party of Vietnam has consistently fostered women's organizations from its inception in 1930, with October 20th officially recognized as the founding day of the Vietnam Women's Union.
Through the course of Vietnam’s revolutionary history, women have been integral to the struggle for the Party, the revolution, and the defense of the nation. Under the Party’s leadership, the Vietnam Women's Union has promoted initiatives like “Women actively learning and creatively working, building happy families” and “Women excelling in both work and home duties,” encouraging millions of women to become role models in labor, innovation, and leadership roles across all sectors of society.
Dear comrades and dear ladies!
Countless poems, songs, and works of art have sung praises to the beauty, intellect, and spirit of women. On a special day like today, it would be remiss not to celebrate the essence of womanhood—its mystery, allure, and beauty. As the philosopher A. Smith once said, “Before beauty and music, time becomes meaningless.” Indeed, women, like music, are sources of beauty, peace, and inspiration. The mysteries of the world pale in comparison to the mystery of a woman. Their allure beckons men to explore, only to find themselves humbled in the presence of such grace and power. Women’s capacity to sacrifice, their inherent nature of giving, is unmatched, as beautifully expressed by poet Van Cong Hung:
“There are times when I seek solace in you,
Like a distant ship anchoring to the motherland,
Life is silent, life is loud,
But by your side, I find myself again.”
Similarly, poet Huu Thinh depicted the woman as an irreplaceable force in life, with all else being incomplete without her:
“When I’m away from you,
The moon is alone,
The sun is alone,
The sea remains vast,
But a single missing sail makes it lonely,”
And as the waves rise and fall, they remain incomplete without you—without the woman.
Dear ladies, dear comrades!
We take immense pride in our mothers, sisters, and daughters—Vietnamese women who personify the values of “virtue, resilience, loyalty, and competence.” They are the shining examples of how to balance both the public and private spheres, excelling in their work while nurturing their families. Today, on October 20th, let us reflect on and appreciate the image of the Vietnamese woman, honoring and cherishing their contributions. Let us affirm together that:
“Through the storms of life,
Women remain the flowers, the angels of the earth,
Even when the sun sets tomorrow,
We’ll still call ‘woman’ the beacon of hope.”
Finally, to the men in our lives, the fathers, brothers, and husbands, we acknowledge that behind every woman’s success is the support and love of men. Likewise, behind our successes, your influence is ever-present.
May all comrades enjoy health, happiness, and achievement. To all the ladies: May you be joyful, beautiful, healthy, and filled with life. Live fully, love deeply, and never stop believing in yourselves and in the goodness you bring to this world.
Thank you for your attentive listening and care!

5. Speech to commemorate the tradition of October 20th (Speech No. 3)
Dear distinguished delegates and guests!
Dear all comrades of the school's union!
In the atmosphere of joy and pride as women across the country celebrate the XXth anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 – October 20, 20XX), today, the school union is delighted to host the celebration of Vietnam Women's Day on October 20th. On behalf of the party committee and the leadership, I extend warm greetings and best wishes for health and happiness to all distinguished guests and female colleagues. I hope today's gathering will be filled with joy, unity, and excitement.
Dear delegates and beloved sisters!
Throughout history, Vietnamese women have made significant marks in literature and national history. From Mother Au Co leading her children to settle the country, to the heroines Trưng and Triệu raising the flag of rebellion against foreign invaders, and the queens such as Empress Dương Vân Nga and Empress Ỷ Lan, as well as Admiral Bùi Thị Xuân… Throughout every era, remarkable women have contributed to the nation, leaving an everlasting legacy in the hearts of the people.
Continuing this heroic tradition, Vietnamese women in the era of President Ho Chi Minh have dedicated themselves to the cause of national construction and defense. From their real-life struggles and battles, they have developed unique and valuable qualities, which President Ho Chi Minh summarized in the eight golden words: “Heroic, indomitable, loyal, and capable.”
Women have always held an important position in the formation of the national community and in the struggle to defend the country. Through all the ups and downs of history, no one can deny the immense contributions of women.
Today, women have proven that they are equal to men in many areas, rising up to assert their value. They are dynamic and creative in their work, recognized in society, yet they do not forget their roles and responsibilities in family life. Many women now hold important positions within the Party, the state, and various organizations. The proportion of female representatives in the National Assembly continues to grow. Many women own successful businesses, contributing significantly to the national budget and providing jobs for workers. Our Party and State ensure that women have every opportunity to fulfill their duties in any field. Especially in this period of industrialization and modernization, Vietnamese women are striving to meet goals such as: 'Good health, knowledge, professional skills, dynamism, creativity, a cultural lifestyle, and compassion,' in order to contribute to achieving the goal of 'A prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, justice, and civilization.'
Dear delegates and beloved sisters!
As the saying goes, “Behind every successful man, there is always a woman,” this is indeed true, because we know well that “A mountain stands tall because of the earth beneath it, a mountain hides the earth, but the earth remains where the mountain stands.” We men achieve success in our careers and happiness in our family lives thanks to the sacrifices and selflessness of our sisters and friends.
On this occasion, we sincerely thank all comrades and colleagues for their heartfelt dedication. We wish all of you and your families continued health and happiness. We wish all the women on October 20th a day filled with joy, happiness, and great success. Thank you so much!
