Pham Hong Thai Secondary School in Thach Da Commune, Me Linh District, Hanoi, was established in 1961. Over half a century, the school’s name has undergone various changes. In 1961, it was known as Pham Hong Thai Secondary School, in 1973 it became Thach Da Secondary School, in 1976 it merged with the primary school to form Thach Da Combined Secondary and Primary School, and in 1999, when the primary school separated from the secondary school, it was renamed Thach Da Secondary School. In 2012, at the request of former teachers and students, the school returned to its beloved name, Pham Hong Thai Secondary School (Decision No. 2394/QD-UBND, dated April 25, 2012, by the People’s Committee of Me Linh District, Hanoi).

Covering an area of 11,000m², Pham Hong Thai Secondary School is not only a place for teaching and learning but also serves as a cultural center for the local community. It provides entertainment and sports activities for residents, as well as for students during their breaks and holidays. 35% of teachers have been recognized as outstanding educators at the district level and beyond, and the quality of both specialized and general education is continuously improving. Trung Vuong Secondary School was established on June 24, 2004, by Decision No. 506/QD UB of the People's Committee of Me Linh District. It is a high-quality school in Me Linh district with the main function and task of organizing comprehensive educational activities for secondary school students according to the Ministry of Education and Training's program. When it was first established in the 2004-2005 school year, Trung Vuong Secondary School had only 7 classes with 231 students and 18 teachers selected from all secondary schools in the district. The school's facilities were almost nonexistent, and it had to rent space at the National Document Storage Center with small, temporary classrooms. From February 2007 to July 2014, the school shared space and facilities with Thanh Lam A Primary School, facing numerous challenges: small space, an increasing number of students, but no additional classrooms, and no subject-specific classrooms. The school had to use the office, library, and dining hall as classrooms and rooms for gifted student training. The school administration and staff had to work together in cramped spaces.

Thanks to the attention and strong investment direction of the District Party Committee and the People's Committee of Me Linh, since 2013, Trung Vuong Secondary School began construction of a new campus. By August 2014, the construction was completed, spacious, and put into use. This marked the end of a decade of challenges related to the school's facilities and opened a new chapter in the school's development history: continuing to improve quality and striving to build the school to national standards.
