1. Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon
Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon was constructed by the French colonial government and completed in 1880. This is one of the oldest and most distinctive churches in Vietnam. Almost all materials used in its construction were imported from France, and it was built in the Western architectural style, which makes it closely resemble the Charles Church in Paris. Due to its unique features and its significance in the spiritual life of the people, the cathedral attracts a large number of visitors during Christmas each year. On Christmas Eve, the lights in the church remain on all night, and the surroundings are beautifully decorated to welcome visitors for the Noel celebration. Here, visitors can experience the lively Christmas atmosphere, capture beautiful photos, and gather with friends at the outdoor cafés to enjoy local snacks like grilled sweet potatoes and corn.
The Notre-Dame Cathedral of Saigon measures 91 meters in length, 35.5 meters in width, with a main nave that rises 21 meters high, and two bell towers that stand nearly 57 meters tall. The main material is cement, while the exterior is made from green stone and exposed brick. The most notable feature that attracts tourists is the cathedral's interior, which has an antique atmosphere that cannot be found elsewhere. In front of the cathedral is a lush green courtyard, intersected by four streets forming a cross, a symbol of the Catholic faith. At the center of the park is a statue of the Virgin of Peace, made of marble by G. Ciocchetti in 1959. This statue, originally brought from Rome, was placed on the old site where a statue of Bishop Adran once stood with his follower, Cảnh. The Virgin statue stands 4.6 meters tall, weighs 8 tons, and is depicted standing with a globe in one hand and a cross in the other, gazing upwards as if praying for peace for the people of Vietnam. This is why the church is named Notre-Dame Cathedral.

It’s one of those high-end yet approachable leisure spots. The Starlight Bridge is located in the Phu My Hung urban area, known as Vietnam’s mini Singapore, an exclusive neighborhood for the wealthy. The bridge is designed with special features: the western side (Canal Area) is a moon-shaped square, while the eastern side (Bán Nguyệt Lake Area) is shaped like the sun. Along both sides of the bridge, multi-colored lights change continuously, powered by solar energy. Since the bridge is pedestrian-only, it has quickly become a popular “check-in” and “photo-posing” spot for Saigon's youth.
