1. Memorial Speech at the Martyrs' Cemetery on July 27th (No. 4)
Honorable spirits of the fallen heroes!
Esteemed delegates, fellow comrades!
Today, in a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the Party, military, and people of our district are respectfully holding a memorial ceremony for the heroes who bravely sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation. In this sacred moment, let us bow our heads in deep respect to President Ho Chi Minh, who dedicated his entire life to the independence and freedom of our nation, and to the socialist cause. We also remember and express our deep gratitude to the martyrs, the beloved sons of our homeland, who courageously gave their lives for the fight to free our people, to build and protect the country, so that Vietnam can be as prosperous and happy as it is today.
Honorable spirits of the fallen heroes, comrades!
Building upon the great patriotism and the unyielding spirit of resistance in our thousand-year history of national defense, we reflect on the long and difficult struggles for independence, peace, national reunification, and socialism under the leadership of the Party. Our nation and people have faced numerous hardships, pain, and loss. Millions of outstanding individuals have sacrificed their lives on battlefields across the country. Thousands of wounded and disabled veterans left parts of themselves on the battlefield so that we could live in independence, peace, and development as we do now.
Esteemed delegates, comrades!
In our beloved XX homeland, children have fought and died when the country called upon them. Just as President Ho Chi Minh affirmed: “The blood of the martyrs has made the revolutionary flag even redder. Their heroic sacrifice made our Vietnam bloom with independence and freedom.”
The fallen heroes left behind deep sorrow for their families—fathers, mothers, spouses, and children, who will never see their loved ones again, not even once more. This sacrifice is immeasurable and irreplaceable. Yet, it is this sacrifice that has glorified our homeland and nation, sowing the seeds of peace and hope. The spirit of these heroes will live on in our homeland, forever embraced by the love and respect of our people and comrades. This is their immortality, their truth, their way of life, which no force can ever defeat. The Party and people of XX district will forever remember and be grateful for this great sacrifice.
Honorable spirits of the fallen heroes, comrades!
The Martyrs' Memorial Monument in XX district, built in XXXX, is the sacred site where the spirits of our martyrs who rest in cemeteries across the country are gathered. Some are honored with named graves, while others remain nameless, and some lie in forests, rivers, and streams, with their families still searching for them.
Fellow comrades!
Today, our country is united, our people are free, and we focus on building a stronger and more prosperous nation as President Ho Chi Minh once dreamed. Today, as we stand before the spirits of the fallen heroes, on behalf of the District Party Committee – People's Committee – Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of XX district, we pledge: Our generations of officials, party members, and the people of this district will always be proud and commit to live, fight, work, and study following the great example of President Ho Chi Minh, while continuing to uphold the fine traditions of our homeland. With all our sincerity and trust, we pray for the spirits of the fallen heroes to bless XX district with vitality, enabling us to fulfill the tasks set by the XX Party Congress for the period 201X - 20XX.
The Party, government, military, and people of XX district pledge to continue the noble revolutionary cause chosen by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh.

Thank you sincerely.

2. Memorial Service at the Martyrs' Cemetery on July 27th (No. 5)
Dear leaders,
Distinguished guests,
Dear youth members,
This morning, in a solemn and emotional atmosphere, standing by the statue of the Fatherland, before rows of gravestones, and the spirits of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation, we gather to honor the sacrifices made by previous generations who fell on this cherished land.
During this significant March, youth across the country are actively celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the 31st anniversary of Bình Long’s complete liberation with various activities. Today’s youth reflect on the glorious past of our ancestors with admiration, respect, and deep gratitude.
The Vietnamese nation forever remembers the heroic martyrs who gave their lives to create the beautiful homeland. Their victories serve as a bright example for today’s generation to remember and emulate, eternally etched in history.
We express our sincere gratitude to the wounded soldiers, the families of revolutionary contributors, and the heroic Vietnamese Mothers. We pledge to do our utmost to repay the sacrifices made by those who gave their blood and bones for the country.
Dear distinguished guests,
Dear youth members,
Although the war has ended, time has healed the wounds on the surface, and the painful past of our nation now makes way for happiness. However, on this land, the suffering remains, especially for the children affected by Agent Orange, and for the soldiers who returned home with injuries. The marks of a heroic era still linger in everyone’s memory, and it’s impossible to fully recount the bravery of those who brought honor to our beloved Vietnam.
Amidst the rain of bombs and bullets, they fought fiercely, ready to sacrifice their lives for the country, embodying the spirit of our ancestors. Now in peace, their comrades have returned, embraced by loved ones, while they remain forever in the embrace of Mother Earth. Their loved ones never saw them return, and the tears of mothers no longer fall for their lost children.
They rest here, their graves standing tall like the soldiers who once marched into battle, yet countless remain unknown, their names lost to history. This grave bears no image, no address, or recognition of their heroic deeds. Future generations will forever remember them as the foundation of strength and inspiration, continuing to honor their sacrifices with love and gratitude.
Dear distinguished guests,
Dear youth members,
Looking back, the passage of time has bound us through the historical challenges our nation has faced. After centuries of struggle and sacrifice, we rose up and broke the chains of slavery to regain independence and freedom. The sacrifices and heroic victories of these martyrs will forever be the pride of the entire Vietnamese nation, engraved in history and serving as an eternal foundation for future generations.
Today, at this sacred site, we solemnly conduct the ceremony to accept the new members of the “75th Anniversary of the Youth Union.” These young people will feel the sacredness of this moment, a moment they will always remember as they join the ranks of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union. Before the spirits of the martyrs, we pledge to live up to the honor of being youth members named after President Hồ Chí Minh, worthy of the sacrifices of countless soldiers and people.
Let us light a candle and lay a white lily to honor the fallen martyrs, the resilient and indomitable sons and daughters of our heroic motherland. Our nation, people, Party, and State will forever remember them. We vow to continue the path that the Party and President Hồ Chí Minh have chosen, living up to the great sacrifices they made. Glory forever belongs to the martyrs, and the phrase “Live, Fight, and Die with Honor” will forever adorn this memorial today.
Let us respectfully bow our heads for a moment of silence to honor the martyrs. The soul-stirring music and the fragrance of incense seem to warm the spirits of those who have passed.

3. Memorial speech at the Martyrs' Cemetery on July 27 (No. 6)
O spirits of the heroic martyrs!
Your flesh and bones have turned into sacred energy that strengthens the land,
Uniting North and South as one.
History has seen countless battles, and through the fierce fire of war, this land now stands peaceful and independent—thanks to the sacrifices of generations who gave up their lives for this cause. Their souls, immortalized in the mountain ranges, protect the future. We, born in a time of peace, walk on the land that holds the echoes of those who fought and died. Each inch of land bears the history of a battle, a sacrifice, a memory. The land has borne the pain of war so we could live in tranquility. The spirits of the fallen heroes rest here, in this sacred cemetery, where nature whispers their valor. Their blood soaked the national flag, and their spirits continue to guide the future of our homeland. Their ultimate sacrifices will never be forgotten.
Some deaths will forever be immortal
Histories will mark these triumphs
The spirit of the nation shines with wondrous might
Echoing through the vastness of the earth.
Here they rest, in this heroic land of Dien Bien. The sun continues to shine upon them, and the white flowers of the Ban tree bloom where they lay—immortal heroes of our nation!
O brothers and sisters who fell in battle,
May your blood, shed for this cause, forever nourish the green fields of Vietnam,
From Mường Thanh, Hồng Cúm, to Him Lam,
The Ban flowers will bloom again, and the oranges will turn golden...
For the peaceful Vietnam we live in today,
Where cities rise, bustling and full of life,
United in love by all ethnic groups,
Creating an undying song of heroism.
We express our infinite gratitude to our ancestors, bowing before their spirits, pledging to uphold our nation. We will dedicate our hearts, youth, and intellect to serve our country and its people. We will not live for ourselves, but for the betterment of humanity, ensuring the peace they won for us lasts forever.
In the gentle breeze of Dien Bien's Ban flowers, amidst the distant chimes of the temple bell, we offer our heartfelt tribute to them. We believe that here, they watch over us, continuing their mission of protecting our land.
May their spirits rest in eternal peace as we honor them with our commitment to our nation.

4. Commemorative Speech at the Martyrs' Cemetery on July 27 (No. 1)
Dear spirits of the fallen heroes!
Honorable Vietnamese Heroic Mothers!
Distinguished delegates!
Dear comrades and friends!
The great victory of the Spring of 1975 affirmed the strength of the great unity of the Vietnamese people against French colonialists and American imperialists, leading the Vietnamese nation from the sorrowful era of slavery to liberation, completely freeing the South, and uniting the country, bringing the nation together in peace and embarking on the path of building socialism.
Through two great wars of resistance to defend the homeland, under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, the entire Vietnamese people rose to battle, millions of young people from all corners of the country joined forces to fight against French colonialists and American imperialists, fighting for the sacred truth of "Independence and Freedom" for the nation. The historic victory at Dien Bien Phu remains an immortal epic, etched into the annals of our history, a source of pride and unwavering belief in the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, founded and trained by President Ho Chi Minh. How can we ever forget a "steadfast and loyal" South, "A courageous South"?

Oh South, a land of suffering and pain
Twenty years, never leaving the battlefield
Going forward, enduring hardship".
All for the beloved South, the North stood ready for the frontlines to fight the Americans. "Oh North, bearing the weight of the nation
Carrying the mountains and rivers over great distances
Splitting the Truong Son range to save the nation
With hearts filled with hope for the future".

Esteemed delegates.
Dear youth members.
The war has ended, but we, the Vietnamese people, will never forget the losses and pain it left behind. Some of the brave sons and daughters of the nation are still with us, while others remain in the embrace of Mother Earth. However, their victories and names have become immortal, etched in the history of our nation, forever remembered by generations of Vietnamese people.
In the face of bombs and bullets, our heroes fought courageously, ready to sacrifice for the survival of our country, living up to the legacy of being the children of Lạc and the grandchildren of Hồng.
Now, in times of peace, the comrades and friends of our fallen heroes have returned to the loving arms of their families, while the fallen soldiers remain forever in the earth’s embrace. Loved ones may not have been able to witness their return, and elderly mothers no longer have tears to shed for their fallen children.
They rest under rows of graves, straight as the columns of soldiers marching into battle. Yet, many remain nameless in history, their graves marked with no photographs, no address, or recognition of their heroic deeds. But today’s youth, and the generations to come, will always remember their sacrifices as a source of strength and faith, to love and appreciate their sacrifice.
Esteemed delegates.
Dear youth members.

6. Tribute to the Martyrs' Cemetery on July 27th (No. 3)
Dear souls of the heroic martyrs!
Vietnam is a nation that has endured endless battles against foreign invaders, displaying immense strength and resilience. The Vietnamese people, as beautiful as roses and as strong as steel, have always been ready to sacrifice their lives for the independence and freedom of the homeland. It was these very people who wrote the brightest heroic chapters in the history of fighting against French colonialism and American imperialism.
Leaving the loving embrace of their families, these soldiers carried the weight of the nation on their shoulders, bidding farewell to their dearest ones as they went to the front lines, where the line between life and death was razor-thin. But despite all the hardships, when the war reached its most challenging point, responding to President Ho Chi Minh's call for national resistance, the entire Vietnamese nation rose up.
On the front lines, they fought tirelessly, yet there were also countless silent moments. There, soldiers who were once strangers became comrades, bound by the same fate and common ideals.
The camaraderie and brotherhood among them were deeply moving, a sentiment immortalized in the famous poem "Comrades" by poet Chinh Huu:
"Your jacket is torn, my pants patched up,
Smiling through the freezing cold, feet without shoes,
We hold hands in brotherhood."
Their bravery was also shown in their unwavering stance in the face of the enemy's might. Deep within their hearts burned a revolutionary passion and an unyielding will to fight. Back home, their mothers and wives waited patiently for their return, concealing their pain in their hearts when news came that they would never return.
Though war brings loss and sacrifice, the physical wounds may heal, but the wounds in the heart will last forever.
Today, the war is a thing of the past, but every inch of our homeland holds the souls and bodies of these heroes. We, the young people of Vietnam, now live in peace, prosperity, and happiness, thanks to their sacrifices.
The martyrs were like the supporting harmony in a song, allowing the nation to reach the highest peak. A distant star twinkles, the smile of a newborn child, a green mountain range, and a grave in the vastness—these are the things I think of when I think of the unnamed martyrs who helped build our country. Ten thousand incense offerings, ten thousand comrades, scattered across the fields, from the peaks of Truong Son to the quiet, lonely graves. Yes, these are the people who gave their lives for our peaceful existence, for the laughter of the children of today, so that the land could be revived and the rivers could flow with sweetness.
We humbly offer flowers of tribute to these martyrs at the cemetery on the windy afternoon of July 27th. The flickering candles we light will express our deepest gratitude to those who fought for the beloved homeland of Vietnam.
Dear souls of the heroic martyrs!
Today, as we study and play under the peaceful sky, we are constantly reminded to be grateful for the sacrifices made by our forebears. We strive to follow in their footsteps, cultivating virtue and learning, always striving to be obedient children, excellent students, good team members, and loyal to Uncle Ho's teachings. We will forever honor the sacrifice of these heroes who rest here.
We bow our heads in reverence to their immortal souls, eternally glorious.
