2. Tien Xuan B Primary School
Tien Xuan B Primary School is located in Tien Xuan Commune, Thach That District, Hanoi. The school was established on August 26, 2004, by Decision No. 494/2004/QĐ-UB issued by the People's Committee of Luong Son District, Hoa Binh Province. The school covers a total area of 4,824.1 square meters, with 62.9% of the population being from the Muong ethnic group.
The predecessor of Tien Xuan B Primary School was the Tien Xuan Commune Primary School, which was founded in August 1992 under the leadership of Principal Sam Ai Vinh. The school initially had 14 satellite locations in different hamlets, with classes held in village storage houses due to inadequate infrastructure. During rainy days, both teachers and students had to suspend classes due to leaking roofs. The remote location and the dangerous roads during floods posed great risks for both teachers and students. Thus, on August 26, 2004, the People's Committee of Luong Son District established Tien Xuan B Primary School, led by Principal Sam Ai Vinh. At the time of its founding, the school had only 10 classes and 6 classrooms, serving students from five villages (Trai Moi, Mieu, Go Me, Bai Dai, and Nhon). The facilities were severely lacking, with no functional rooms, school gate, boundary walls, or restrooms. As a result, the school's office was initially set up in Principal Sam Ai Vinh's house.
With a spirit of solidarity and dedication to the students, the staff of Tien Xuan B Primary School voluntarily contributed 100,000 VND each, and together, they built boundary walls and restrooms for teachers and students. They would work together after class hours, constructing walls and restrooms for the school. In addition, the school also raised funds from individuals and organizations to gradually improve its facilities.
In August 2005, after Principal Sam Ai Vinh retired, Principal Bui Xuan Chien, formerly the vice-principal, took over. Under his leadership, the school continued to progress, with new investments in classrooms and functional rooms, including teacher accommodation, restrooms, and completed boundary walls and gates to meet the needs of a single-shift school schedule.
In August 2008, following Resolution No. 15 by the National Assembly regarding the expansion of Hanoi's administrative boundaries, Tien Xuan B Primary School was incorporated into Hanoi, directly managed by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, and under the Thach That District Education and Training Department. Principal Bui Xuan Chien continued to lead the school. With the attention and support from the City Party Committee, Hanoi People's Council, Hanoi People's Committee, Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Thach That District Party Committee, Thach That District People's Council, and other local authorities, in 2015, the school received additional investments, including eight new classrooms, four specialized rooms, two restroom facilities, and a new paved schoolyard. In September 2017, two old classroom blocks were renovated into specialized classrooms to meet national standards. From a poor school, it is now a clean, spacious, and well-equipped school with all necessary classrooms, functional rooms, and support facilities.
The development journey of Tien Xuan B Primary School is the result of the continuous efforts of many generations of staff, teachers, and students. Though the school's history is not long, it has made significant progress and established itself. The school's educational achievements are a source of great pride: it has won the title of Excellent Advanced School for two years, received commendations from the Hanoi People's Committee for its work with ethnic minorities, and has been recognized for its achievements in the implementation of the National Assembly's resolution on ethnic minorities. The school's Party Committee has been recognized as a clean and strong unit for many years, and its trade union has been rated as an excellent, strong union at the district level. With its proud traditions, the teachers and students of Tien Xuan B Primary School continue to strive for excellence and work to build a school that meets the demands of modern education.
