1. Welcome Speech for March 26th - Speech 4
Honorable delegates,
Dear teachers,
Dear comrades, youth union members, and beloved students!
In the spirit of celebrating the XXth anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2014), on behalf of the Party committee and school administration, I warmly welcome the distinguished guests, teachers, youth union members, and students attending today's anniversary celebration!
During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh once said: "A year begins with spring, a life begins with youth. Youth is the spring of society." Today, the youth – the spring of the nation – joyfully celebrates the XXth anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and teachers and students at XX School join in this celebration, reflecting on the glorious history of the Union and setting new tasks for each youth union member, young adult, and student.
The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is a political and social organization for Vietnamese youth, founded and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. Since its establishment on March 26, 1931, through years of struggle, training, and challenges in the revolutionary battle, under the Union's banner, generations of Vietnamese youth have led the way, successfully completing every task, following the motto of President Ho: "Wherever youth are needed, in whatever difficult task, youth will be there." Under the leadership of the Party, youth have not shied away from hardships and sacrifices, and have contributed greatly to achieving national independence, freedom, and the happiness of the people.
Together, we united to overthrow the colonial rule of the French, leading to the historic Battle of Dien Bien Phu 60 years ago. This forced the French to sign the Geneva Agreement (1954).
In the resistance war against the US and in building socialism in the North, following the beloved President Ho's call, our youth fulfilled the "Five Enthusiasts" and "Three Ready" movements, showing their determination to march along the Ho Chi Minh Trail to save the nation, mobilizing millions of youth to fight against US imperialism. This contributed to the great victory of Spring 1975, the liberation of the South, and the reunification of the country.
In the new revolutionary era, with the determination: "No task is too difficult; only a weak will prevents success. Digging mountains and filling seas, with determination, anything can be done," the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has inspired its members to contribute their talent, intellect, and enthusiasm in labor and production to build and defend a strong Socialist Vietnam.
Honorable delegates,
Dear teachers,
Dear comrades, youth union members, and students,
Continuing the proud tradition of patriotism, revolutionary courage, hardworking spirit, a thirst for intellectual achievement, and unity, the youth and students at XX School have continually strived for excellence in the Union's movements, the school's educational programs, and the effort to secure a successful future.
Finally, on behalf of the Party committee and the school administration, I wish all delegates and teachers good health, and to all youth union members and students, good health, success in teaching, learning, and management. I hope the Union movements at XX School continue to develop steadily, deserving the trust of the Party committee and school administration.
Thank you very much.

2. Welcome Speech for March 26th, Number 5
Esteemed delegates,
Honorable teachers,
Dear students,
Today, XX School is proudly hosting the celebration of the XXth anniversary of the founding of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union (TNCS). With the joyful, lively atmosphere that fills the air, on behalf of the faculty and students of XX School, we extend our warmest greetings and best wishes to the distinguished delegates and esteemed guests.
Esteemed delegates,
Honorable teachers,
Dear students,
President Hồ Chí Minh once said: “A year begins in spring, a life begins in youth. Youth is the spring of society.” Today, the youth—the spring of our nation—celebrates the XXth anniversary of the founding of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union. We, the teachers and students of XX School, share in the joy of this celebration, and together, we reflect on the glorious history of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union while outlining the tasks and responsibilities of each member, youth, and young student.
After XX years of growth in the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union and the youth of Vietnam have been shaped by a glorious tradition. Along the way, they have also gained valuable lessons for continuing to build a truly strong Youth Union, worthy of being the socialist school for youth and the reliable reserve force for the Communist Party of Vietnam.
This teaches us the importance of nurturing patriotism, remaining steadfast in our loyalty to the leadership of the Party, and believing in the reality and triumph of the socialist ideals. It emphasizes the need to inherit and promote the noble traditions passed down from past generations, as well as the ongoing efforts to modernize and strengthen the Youth Union politically, organizationally, and operationally. Moreover, it identifies the need for youth-led revolutionary actions rooted in practical life, aligned with revolutionary tasks, and driven by the rightful, legal interests and lofty aspirations of young people.
On the occasion of the XXth anniversary of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union, I, on behalf of the faculty and staff of the school, would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the leaders and distinguished guests for their guidance and support, which have enabled our school to accomplish its tasks with excellence in recent years.
We extend our sincere thanks to the businesses and the Parent-Teacher Association for their continuous, meaningful contributions, which have encouraged both teachers and students to overcome difficulties and strive for excellence in our motto of “teaching well and learning well.”
We would also like to express our deep appreciation to the generations of teachers and the dedicated staff for their substantial contributions to the development of the school.
Carrying forward the achievements in education and the noble traditions of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union, all faculty, teachers, and staff at the school are encouraged to strive for improvement, constantly enhancing their management and professional skills, and cultivating the ethics of educators to serve as exemplary role models for students. We are determined to follow President Hồ Chí Minh’s words: "Nothing is impossible if the heart remains resolute. Digging mountains and filling seas, with determination, success will follow." Once again, I wish all the distinguished delegates, guests, teachers, and students health and happiness. May the students study hard and behave well! May this celebration be a great success.
Thank you very much!

3. Welcome Speech for March 26th, Number 6
Honored delegates and distinguished guests
Dear comrades, Youth Union members, and dear young pioneers!
In these days, amidst the joyful and excited atmosphere of the Youth Union members across the country, various levels of the Youth Union have been striving to achieve numerous accomplishments to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and other major events in our country. Today, together with the Youth Union members nationwide, we are once again reflecting on the glorious history of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union over the past years.
Dear delegates, and dear comrades
In the spring of 1931, from March 20 to 26, at the 2nd Central Committee Conference of the Party, an important portion of the meeting was dedicated to youth affairs, leading to significant decisions, such as the directive for the Party's branches from central to local levels to appoint members to oversee Youth Union activities.
As the Youth Union expanded across the three regions—North, Central, and South—many local Youth Union chapters were established with around 1,500 members. Some areas even formed Youth Union chapters from the village, district, and grassroots levels. This rapid growth of the Union met the urgent needs of the youth movement, reflecting the revolutionary progress in our country. It also represents the tremendous contributions of the Party and our beloved President Ho Chi Minh, who founded and nurtured the Youth Union. With approval from the Politburo and Ho Chi Minh, the proposal from the Central Youth Union led to the 3rd National Congress being held from March 22–25, 1961, where it was decided to designate March 26, 1931, the date of the Central Party's important decisions on youth affairs, as the annual founding day of the Youth Union. Thus, March 26th became a historic day for the youth of Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
From March 26, 1931, to the present, the Union has changed its name multiple times to adapt to the revolutionary needs of each period:
From 1931 - 1936: Vietnam Youth Union, Indochina Youth Union
From 1937 - 1939: Indochina Democratic Youth Union
From November 1939 - 1941: Indochina Anti-Imperialist Youth Union
From May 1941 - 1956: Vietnam National Salvation Youth Union
From October 25, 1956 - 1970: Vietnam Labor Youth Union
From February 1970 - November 1976: Ho Chi Minh Labor Youth Union
From December 1976 to present: Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union
The successive generations of youth have fought heroically for the independence and freedom of our homeland and for socialism, achieving remarkable successes and growing stronger with each challenge.
Generations of youth have sacrificed and fought bravely for our nation's independence, freedom, and socialism. These include the heroic youth martyrs such as Võ Thị Sáu, Trần Văn Ơn, Cù Chính Lan, Bế Văn Đàn, Phan Đình Giót. They also represent the heroic youth of the Anti-American War, including exemplary individuals like Nguyễn Văn Trỗi, Nguyễn Viết Xuân, Thái Văn A...
For 83 years, under the guidance of the glorious Party and our beloved President Ho Chi Minh, the Youth Union and our youth have created a legacy of honor and tradition.
These traditions include:
+ A deep love for the nation, loyalty to the Party, to the people, and to the socialist system.
This precious tradition has continuously driven revolutionary action, especially during crucial moments in history.
In any circumstance, our youth remain closely united around the Party, steadfastly following the Party's and the State's policies and directions.
+ A tradition of being a vanguard force, willing to take on the heaviest tasks, go to difficult and challenging places, and think creatively to complete the assigned missions.
Following President Ho Chi Minh's advice: "Wherever the youth are needed, wherever there is a difficult task, the youth must lead", our youth have always been enthusiastic, ready to volunteer to go wherever the country needs, whether it's the borderlands or islands, or facing new or difficult tasks.
+ A tradition of solidarity, unity within youth organizations and with the people, and mutual support in times of hardship, especially in the face of enemies or natural disasters.
National and international unity have always been intertwined, understanding and working together for the noble goals of our nation and the era.
+ A tradition of valuing education, continuously striving to improve political awareness, culture, science and technology, management, and military skills... being passionate about creativity in practical activities to contribute to the nation's and Party's cause.
Learning in schools, learning from life, and striving to become useful individuals for society have always been the goals of our youth, and they continue to be achieved more and more effectively.
Building on these cherished traditions, the generations of Youth Union members, students from our local schools, and youth across the country have followed each other to contribute to the ever-growing revolutionary cause of our country, overcoming challenges and achieving tremendous victories and glory in the 21st century. These accomplishments have elevated our socialist homeland to a respected position in the international community, integrating with the world in this era of globalization.
Finally, I wish our distinguished guests, teachers, and staff good health, happiness, and success in their work,
and I wish all the students to study well and become exemplary individuals.

4. Welcome speech for March 26th, number 7
Dear teachers!
Dear beloved youth union members!
Today, on March 26th, 20...., in the vibrant atmosphere of youth across the nation, we gather to celebrate the XX anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on March 26th, 1931 – March 26th, 20..... At our high school, we solemnly organize a meeting to commemorate the glorious traditions of the Youth Union. During our nation's struggle for independence and the building of a socialist Vietnam, the Youth Union made invaluable contributions, becoming an integral part of the country's revolutionary history. After the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam on February 3rd, 1930, our Party recognized the importance of establishing a youth organization.
At the second Central Committee Conference held from March 20th to March 26th, 1931, the Party dedicated one day to discuss and resolve important matters related to youth movement activities. It was from this special meaning that, with the approval of the Politburo and President Ho Chi Minh, the Communist Party of Vietnam decided to establish March 26th, 1931, as the founding day of the Youth Union. The 3rd National Youth Union Congress, held from March 22nd to March 25th, 1961, further designated March 26th as the annual Youth Union Day.
Since its establishment, the Youth Union has undergone several name changes to match the demands of each revolutionary era: From 1931 to 1936: Indochinese Youth Union; from 1937 to 1939: Indochinese Democratic Youth Union; from 1939 to 1941: Indochinese Anti-imperialist Youth Union; from 1941 to 1956: National Salvation Youth Union; from 1956 to 1970: Vietnamese Labor Youth Union; from 1970 to 1976: Ho Chi Minh Labor Youth Union; from 1976 until now: Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
Throughout the XX years of the Youth Union's history, generations of Vietnamese youth have continuously contributed to the proud tradition of the Union, a tradition of patriotism, absolute loyalty to the Party, the people, and the socialist regime; a tradition of being the vanguard of the revolution, taking on heavy tasks, reaching difficult and remote areas, and thinking creatively; a tradition of solidarity within the Youth Union, the Youth League, and with the people; a tradition of seeking knowledge, elevating political, cultural, and scientific levels, and actively contributing to the nation's development. These revolutionary youth movements have attracted and united a vast number of youth members, creating strong unity. However, this tradition will remain a mere decoration unless we actively create, think critically, and take initiative in our actions and thoughts.
In light of the current reality, with increasing global integration, each youth member should not be content with past achievements. The ongoing movements to promote study and advancement in science and technology have seen tens of millions of youth joining the initiatives "Three Proactive Movements for Collective Leadership", "Creative Youth Labor", and "Lighting the Future". All of these individuals add another shining chapter to our Union's history.
Dear teachers and fellow youth members!
Our high school, established in the year XX, has reached its XXth year. Although still a young school, over the past XX years, generations of youth union members have dedicated their energy and efforts to enrich the school's proud legacy. Thanks to these achievements, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at our school has been awarded numerous certificates and accolades from various levels of the Union. For many years, our school has consistently been recognized as an outstanding youth union.
In the framework of the Youth Union's activities for the academic year ......, the school’s Youth Union Committee has worked diligently to preserve and build upon the successes achieved, creating significant progress in various aspects of youth development, particularly in fostering discipline and determination to excel in studies, establishing a healthy learning environment. The youth at our school can be proud of our school's positive traditions, follow the steps of our heroes, and continue to nurture and strive to contribute to upholding these glorious traditions.
Dear teachers and fellow youth members!
Such results have been achieved thanks to the guidance, support, and leadership from the Party Committee, the school's administration, the union’s executive board, subject teachers, and the entire teaching staff. Furthermore, the cooperation of the parent association and the dedication of every youth member have contributed to this success. On this day dedicated to youth, on behalf of the Youth Union Executive Committee, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to all teachers and comrades, and we hope that you will continue to support and create the necessary conditions for the development of our Youth Union in the coming years.
On the occasion of the XXth anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, I would like to commend the achievements of individuals and collectives in the movements launched by our school and Youth Union. I encourage every youth member to continue to excel in work, study, and personal development, so that the youth at our school will carry on the proud legacy of previous generations. I am confident that with the determination of the youth, our Youth Union will successfully accomplish all the tasks assigned by the Party and the school's leadership.
Once again, I wish all teachers and fellow youth members good health, happiness, and success in fulfilling their responsibilities for this academic year ......
Thank you!

5. Welcome speech for March 26th, version 1
Dear teachers, comrades in the Youth Union, and beloved students,
On the occasion of the XXth anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on March 26th, I am thrilled to attend this March 26th celebration at our school. On behalf of the party committee and the school's administration, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all teachers and students of our school.
Every year, when March arrives, the month in which youth across the country passionately compete to celebrate the glorious tradition of the establishment of the Youth Union on March 26th. This is “Youth Month,” a time when the Youth Union asserts its sacred and important mission: as a reliable reserve force and a strong arm of the Party. Over XX years of dedication and development under the flag of our glorious Party and beloved Uncle Ho, the Youth Union and Vietnam’s youth have built magnificent traditions: fervent patriotism, unwavering loyalty to the Party, the people, and the Socialist regime. These valuable traditions have created invaluable driving forces throughout historical periods, demonstrated in revolutionary actions, especially during key moments in history.
Following Uncle Ho’s teachings: “Wherever youth are needed, whatever difficult tasks are at hand, youth are there,” Vietnamese youth have always embodied the spirit of enthusiasm, ready to volunteer wherever the country needs, whether at the borders or on remote islands, regardless of the task's novelty or difficulty.
Additionally, Vietnamese youth also have a strong tradition of valuing education, eager to learn in order to improve their political, cultural, and scientific-technical knowledge, passionately engaged in practical activities, contributing to the nation’s and Party’s goals.
Building on these precious traditions, the Youth Union, and Young Pioneer team at our school has made noticeable strides in recent years in awareness and actions. Many exemplary students have emerged, showing their commitment to both personal and collective development. There have been no violations of social issues, and many students have overcome great challenges to excel in their duties. They are the shining examples of responsibility, passion, and companionship for the youth. We also recognize the outstanding efforts of our young pioneers, who have made remarkable contributions to our school.
On behalf of the school, I would like to acknowledge the achievements of the XXX Youth Union, which has shown excellence in union work and youth activities.
Dear distinguished guests,
Dear comrades, union members, and students,
On this occasion marking the XXth anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, I hope the youth of our school will continue to promote the fine traditions of youth across the nation. May you strive to improve yourself and excel in your duties in both teaching and learning. Every union member should engage in meaningful actions, as this is the best way to build a stronger Youth Union and contribute to the school's educational mission.
Finally, once again, on behalf of the Party Committee and the school’s administration, I wish all delegates, teachers, union members, and students good health. May the Youth Union and Young Pioneer movements at our school develop steadily, in line with the trust of our Party Committee and the school’s administration.
Thank you very much.

6. Welcome Speech for March 26th No. 2
Dear distinguished guests
Dear comrades
Dear all members of the youth union
In the enthusiastic atmosphere of the youth movement across the country, as well as in our school, we have been diligently promoting the revolutionary traditions of youth and achieving great results in various fields to celebrate the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on March 26th.
Dear distinguished guests
Dear comrades
Since ancient times, the history of our nation has demonstrated that the youth have always been at the forefront in the struggle against foreign invaders - building and protecting the nation. In the face of the country's fall and the suffering of our people, President Ho Chi Minh - a young man with his hands, intellect, and a heart full of love for the people and the nation - boarded a ship to find a way to save the country, hoping to regain independence and freedom. Recognizing the significant role of youth, the Communist Party of Vietnam, led by President Ho Chi Minh, who is loved and revered as a genius leader of the Vietnamese Revolution, organized and trained the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
Since its inception, with only eight members, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has grown through struggle, sacrifice, and commitment to independence and freedom, striving to build a peaceful, independent, democratic, and prosperous Vietnam. Moreover, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the renewal process and the industrialization and modernization of the country have achieved monumental success both domestically and internationally, with the invaluable contributions of the youth union members.
Dear guests, the current process of renewal presents numerous opportunities but also challenges for our youth. This requires the Youth Union to truly be an organization for youth, by youth, and the core force that unites the power and solidarity of youth. The Youth Union should be a close companion in guiding the youth on their journey of personal and national development, contributing to the protection and building of our nation. By promoting the dynamic and creative role of youth, we can play a part in driving the country's industrialization and modernization, a responsibility of leadership at all levels, while also ensuring the protection of the rights and interests of youth, grounded in the common development and benefit of the nation.
On this occasion, on behalf of the school leadership, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union and the working committees for always caring and closely directing the youth activities at our school, as well as to the leadership of the youth unions from other units for their collaboration with our school's youth movement in the past time. Finally, once again, I wish the distinguished guests, teachers, and all union members good health. I wish for the success of the congress, and may the Youth Union of our school continue to grow stronger.
Thank you very much.

7. The speech to celebrate March 26th number 3
Distinguished delegates
Dear comrades, youth members, and beloved fellow members!
During these days, joining in the joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere of youth members across the country, various local youth organizations continue to make efforts to achieve significant milestones in celebration of the XXth anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and other important national events. Today, along with youth members across the country, we come together to reflect on the glorious XX years of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
Distinguished guests, comrades,
After the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam (on 03/02/1930), our Party recognized the importance of building the Youth Union organization. During the second Party Central Committee's meeting (held from 20th to 26th of March, 1931), the Central Committee allocated one day of the conference to discuss and make decisions on important issues regarding the Party's youth mobilization work. In recognition of this special meaning, with the approval of the Politburo and President Ho Chi Minh, the third national Youth Union Congress (held from 22nd to 25th of March, 1961) decided to establish March 26th, 1931, as the founding day of the Youth Union.
Distinguished delegates
Dear comrades
Over the past XX years, under the guidance and care of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, generations of Vietnamese youth have continued to write glorious chapters of the Youth Union’s history, which include: passionate patriotism, absolute loyalty to the Party, the people, and the socialist regime; the tradition of a revolutionary vanguard that dares to take on difficult tasks, venture into hardship, and innovate tirelessly; the tradition of unity within peer groups within the Youth Union, closely connected with the people; and the tradition of pursuing education to improve political, cultural, and scientific knowledge, passionately engaging in practical activities, contributing their youth to the cause of the nation and the Party.
These valuable traditions have been written by the heroes of a heroic nation.
Continuing the legacy of the Party and the people, moving forward with the younger generation, the youth at XX School are still striving to cultivate and uphold the ideal of “National Independence and Socialism,” working hard together to teach well, study diligently, advance in science and technology, innovate through labor, volunteer for the community, build a friendly school for active students, and actively protect the country’s security, order, and peace. We are committed to successfully implementing the resolutions of the Youth Union congresses at all levels, contributing to the successful achievement of industrialization, modernization, and the goal of a prosperous, strong, just, democratic, and civilized society. This effort is for a bright future for the youth and the entire nation.
On the occasion of the XXth anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s founding, I hope that the youth at XX School will continue to strive and cultivate revolutionary ideals, engage in healthy competition in learning, and embody the spirit of volunteering, while learning from President Ho Chi Minh's moral example. Finally, I extend my best wishes for the health of the delegates, teachers, and all youth members, and wish for the success of tonight’s art performance.
Thank you very much!
