Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo Thanh Xuan Club, also known as Vovinam Thanh Xuan Club, was established on April 17, 2006, initially as Vovinam Lý Thái Tổ Club, training at Lý Thái Tổ Primary School, Trung Hòa Nhân Chính, Cầu Giấy, Hanoi. By early 2008, the club moved to the Thanh Xuan District Cultural Center and officially adopted the name Vovinam Thanh Xuan Club. Over the past decade, the club has experienced both challenges and growth. Starting with only 10 members, it now regularly trains around 50-60 members. Located at the Thanh Xuan District Cultural Center, the birthplace of Vovinam in Hanoi in 2004, the club has maintained and advanced the Vovinam philosophy under the leadership of Master Lữ Thanh Xuân. Over 10 years, it has not only grown in martial arts but also in the spiritual aspects of the discipline. The club regularly organizes exciting outdoor activities, providing opportunities for members to share experiences and participate in charity work, such as donating educational supplies to schools in economically challenged areas.

Since this club operates within a university, the majority of its members are students, which means the number of participants can fluctuate. However, the club remains active on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with a steady number of students training under the guidance of professional instructors.
The club aims to create a healthy, vibrant environment for students to enhance both their physical and mental well-being, promoting the national martial art of Vietnam, Vovinam. Over time, the club has attracted a significant number of students who not only pursue martial arts but also actively participate in campus activities. The club has represented the university in events such as the Hanoi Vovinam Championship, the opening ceremony of the 3rd Asian Indoor Games, and various sports festivals. 3. Vovinam – Viet Vo Dao Club, Dong Da, Hanoi
Vovinam – Viet Vo Dao is a traditional martial art from Vietnam, founded by Grandmaster Nguyễn Lộc in 1938 in Hanoi. Known for its beautiful and effective techniques in self-defense, performance, and combat, Vovinam has evolved into a competitive sport featured in events such as the SEA Games. The Vovinam – Viet Vo Dao Club Dong Da Hanoi offers a healthy and beneficial environment for students to enhance their fitness, improve their personal skills, strengthen their willpower, and boost their self-confidence. The club organizes training courses for both combat and wrestling techniques in Vovinam, welcoming participants aged 12 and above who are passionate about this martial art.

4. Vovinam Club at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam
With the approval of the leadership at the Diplomatic Academy, the Vovinam – Viet Vo Dao Club (abbreviated as Vovinam Club) was established in April 2007 under the guidance of Master Lê Hải Bình, a former student of the Academy. Master Lê Hải Bình currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Press at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has been the Spokesperson for the Ministry since February 2014. The club operates on a non-profit basis (no tuition fees).
Over the years, the club has gained significant support and participation from students, becoming one of the most active and rapidly growing clubs in Hanoi and the northern region of Vietnam. It is not just a place for students to improve their physical fitness, but also a supportive community where members, mostly from rural areas, can share and overcome the challenges of living far from home in Hanoi.
In addition to training in martial arts for competitions and achieving high results in Vovinam tournaments across Hanoi and northern Vietnam, the Vovinam Club at the Diplomatic Academy also offers practical activities related to academics, such as foreign language learning, presentation skills, and multimedia skills. It is a source of pride that many Vovinam members excel not only in martial arts but also in academics and their professional careers. Alongside Master Lê Hải Bình, many of the club's first members, who were former students of the Diplomatic Academy, are now working in the Foreign Ministry.

7. Vovinam Club at University of Social Sciences and Humanities
After nearly 7 years of operation, Vovinam Club at University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) has been steadily advancing towards greater success in the competitive arena. Originally founded as the Vovinam Journalism Club on April 16, 2014, under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the club has evolved and achieved several notable milestones. These successes are the result of the dedicated efforts of the people who have guided and supported the club throughout its journey.
Initially, the club was created to provide a valuable recreational outlet for students, aiming to enhance physical health, promote a journalistic environment, and contribute to the development of Vovinam as a martial art. Over time, the club expanded its reach, welcoming students from other universities such as the University of Science, University of Water Resources, and University of Thang Long.
During the 9th Hanoi Sports Festival (September 25-27, 2017), Vovinam USSH achieved remarkable success, winning 8 medals including 4 Gold, 3 Silver, and 1 Bronze, securing 3rd place overall. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and determination of the club members. Pham Bang Suong (Class of 61 Public Relations), the club president, shared: 'At the Hanoi Sports Festival, some of our team members were juggling military training in Hoa Lac while intensely preparing for the competition. Despite injuries, they persevered and competed with pride for the team's honor. Their determination showcases that Vovinam is not just about physical strength, but also about cultivating a strong will and resilience in the face of adversity.'
Over the years, the club has undergone a period of intense dedication and training, with the unwavering spirit of Vovinam. Moving forward, the Vovinam Club at USSH is poised for even greater success, continuing to inspire future generations.
