1. Fearlessness
Life has never been easy for anyone, so in the face of any storm, we must remain strong, resilient, and fearless. To succeed, we need to step ahead of others, taking paths that no one has walked before—that is the road to success. Jack Ma's entrepreneurial journey began when he borrowed $2,000 to start his company.
Despite being 'blind' to technology, not even knowing what an email was or having ever used a keyboard, Jack Ma boldly ventured into the internet business and succeeded. This is why Jack Ma describes himself as a blind man riding a blind tiger.

2. Believe in Yourself
One of the key factors to steady success is having confidence in yourself. In a world filled with traps and people of diverse agendas and personalities, you can only truly rely on yourself. This means trusting your own decisions, standing firm in your beliefs, and remaining resolute.
Others may not see your future the way you do. Jack Ma’s story shows this when he gathered 17 of his closest friends to discuss his business idea. They thought it was crazy and advised him to give up. But with his own conviction, he spent sleepless nights and ultimately decided to create Alibaba. This illustrates that only you can guide yourself to success.

3. Do Not Create Enemies
To survive in society, especially in business, it’s almost inevitable to have some enemies or competitors. This is considered a natural part of the process. However, Jack Ma’s approach is to deal with competitors without viewing them as enemies, because he understands that there is much to learn from them.
One important factor for success is patience, listening, and turning your competitors into your 'teachers.' "A truly successful entrepreneur will have no enemies; once you understand this, the sky will no longer be the limit."

4. Take Responsibility
To achieve success, above all, you need the trust of others, particularly as a leader. To earn that trust, you must build yourself into a trustworthy individual, which means taking responsibility for your own actions.
When Jack Ma was in the process of establishing Alibaba, he needed government approval from China, but encountered complications. However, after consulting with a leader, he immediately called his team and told them, "Do it now, immediately. If there are any mistakes and the government disapproves of Alibaba, if anyone should go to jail, it will be me (Jack Ma)."

5. Practice English Every Day
In today’s open economy, learning an additional language is essential for everyone, regardless of their field. English, being the most widely spoken language globally, is especially important. At the very least, knowing English for communication can greatly expand your future prospects. However, not everyone can instantly speak English fluently like a native speaker. We must learn a little each day, allowing the language to gradually become a part of our lives, just like our mother tongue.
For Jack Ma, when he was younger, the widespread emphasis on foreign language learning was not as prominent as it is today. To engage in daily conversations with foreigners, he rode his bike for 45 minutes every morning to Shangri-La Hotel to meet Western tourists. There, he volunteered as a tour guide to practice speaking with them. Day by day, he learned pronunciation and speech from the native speakers, gradually improving his English communication skills. Jack Ma dedicated nine years of his life to this volunteer work to gain valuable lessons in English. Therefore, for him, daily English practice was a key factor in achieving success.

6. Never Give Up
Success is not only about having talent, but also about persistence and hard work. No success is handed to you on a silver platter. The path to success is often filled with obstacles, challenges, and storms waiting to defeat the weak. To succeed, you must be strong, ready to face difficulties, and never give up. For Jack Ma, rejection was a familiar part of life, so much so that he no longer felt surprised or discouraged when it happened.
Jack Ma was rejected three times from university, and sent out 30 job applications, all of which were rejected. When he applied for a job at KFC with 23 other candidates, all 23 were hired except him. Another interesting fact is that Jack Ma applied to Harvard University 10 times, and was rejected each time. This shows that Jack Ma was not particularly lucky or born with innate talent; everything he achieved came from relentless effort and an unwavering will to succeed. This determination is what led Jack Ma to the success he enjoys today.

7. Be Proactive and Make Everything Possible Happen
Never think that everything in this world comes and goes naturally. The development of our society today is the result of years of research, dedication, and construction by countless generations before us. They dared to think, to explore, to act, and from that came the inventions that benefit us to this day.
Jack Ma once shared that he searched the Internet for 90 seconds, starting with the word "beer". When he saw the results for all the different types of beer around the world, he then searched for "China" and found nothing. This sparked the idea for his internet business. With this idea and a mindset of daring to think, daring to act, and proactively turning the impossible into the possible, Jack Ma founded Alibaba, a leading e-commerce and online auction company in China.
