6. A Newly Established University
Hanoi University of Prosecutor (also known as HPU) is a public higher education institution in Vietnam's national education system, operating under the Supreme People's Procuracy. The institution has evolved through several stages: it was the Supplementary School for Prosecutor Staff (1970-1981), the Prosecutor College (1982-2005), and the Prosecutor Training and Development Institute (2005-2013). On April 24, 2013, it officially became Hanoi University of Prosecutor after upgrading from the Prosecutor Training Institute. This marks the 9th anniversary of its establishment.
After its founding decision, Hanoi University of Prosecutor quickly set out to launch legal training programs, apply for accreditation to offer undergraduate education, and secure the necessary quotas to begin teaching undergraduates in 2013. That same year, the university enrolled 220 students through a selection process. By 2014, they began enrolling over 300 high-quality students through their own tailored admissions plan.
Two years into offering undergraduate courses, the university's teaching, academic management, and student oversight processes have become well-established. The teaching is carried out according to plan, exams and assessments are conducted with rigor, objectivity, and in compliance with legal standards, and the students' academic life has become increasingly organized and effective. In the 2013-2014 academic year, 200 out of 500 students (40%) achieved excellent academic results.

7. The Only University Offering Prosecutor Training
The educational program at Hanoi University of Prosecutor is closely aligned with the political responsibilities of the Prosecutor's office, aiming to provide skilled professionals for the sector. Currently, the university offers only one undergraduate program: Law. Students at the university not only acquire comprehensive legal knowledge but also receive specialized training in prosecutor duties, preparing them with the necessary skills and expertise to excel in the Prosecutor's Office upon graduation.
With a student-centered teaching approach, students are encouraged to be proactive, think critically and creatively, and solve complex legal problems. Under the guidance of expert faculty members who are leaders in the legal and prosecutorial fields, students develop both their legal knowledge and practical prosecutorial skills.

8. High Admission Standards
To select top talent for the Prosecutor's office, the university maintains high admission standards, ranking among the universities with the highest entrance scores in the country. With an annual intake of 200-400 students, the competition for spots is intense, especially for female candidates. The required admission scores have increased steadily, with the 2016 cutoff for female students in Northern Vietnam's C group reaching 29, and the following year, it rose to 30.25. This high admission standard ensures that the quality of graduates is also exceptional.
In 2013, the university conducted 18 training sessions with 1,750 participants, including 3 prosecutor training courses for 400 students, and 15 advanced legal workshops in fields such as criminal, civil, administrative, business, and labor law for 1,350 students. In 2014, the university expanded its offerings, opening 20 courses for 1,720 students, including 3 prosecutor training programs for 234 students, 2 criminal investigation training courses for 78 students (mainly from the Supreme People's Procuracy), and 16 specialized workshops for 1,408 students.
