1. Teacher's Speech at the Opening Ceremony - Number 4
Honored delegates!
Dear teachers!
Beloved students!
The sound of the school drum resounds through the air, fading into the cool breeze of early autumn. A new school year has begun, and the emotions we all feel are truly beyond words.
In the joyful, festive, and solemn atmosphere of this year’s opening ceremony, I am deeply honored to represent the teaching staff and share my feelings with all of you.
First, I would like to wish the esteemed delegates, our fellow teachers, and our dear students good health, happiness, and success as we embark on this new school year.
Honored delegates!
Dear teachers!
Beloved students!
As the ancient proverb says:
"A gem cannot be polished without friction,
A person cannot achieve wisdom without learning."
Indeed, education has always been of great importance, regardless of the time period.
I feel incredibly fortunate today to stand here at this high school, wearing the noble mantle of a teacher. It’s a profession I once dreamed of, a role I aspired to, knowing that one day I would follow in the footsteps of the teachers who taught me. Words can hardly express my emotions right now. What I know for sure is that I am deeply moved and immensely happy to return to my homeland, to the land of the hot winds and white sands, to a new school where I can continue nurturing dreams and contributing to the future on the river of knowledge.
In today’s world, as our country constantly evolves, we understand that the role of a teacher is vital. Teaching is not just about imparting knowledge, but more importantly, about shaping individuals and guiding them towards the values of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. Education goes beyond books; it’s about equipping students with the essential life skills needed to thrive in a complex and dynamic world. This calls for every teacher to constantly innovate, explore, and update their teaching methods to make lessons engaging and effective.
For me, XX years of teaching may not seem long in a noble profession, but they have been a deeply meaningful period where I have come to understand the sacred values of teaching and recognize my responsibility in nurturing the next generation of our country.
Each journey across the river is filled with sweat, hardship, and struggle that every teacher bears. But these challenges do not discourage us. The growth and success of each graduating class, their maturity and stability in life, is the true joy of those of us in education.
Dear leaders!
Your presence today is an invaluable gift, a great source of encouragement to both the teachers and students of this school as we begin this new academic year. On behalf of the entire teaching staff, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to the leaders and delegates for your continued support and care for our school’s educational mission.
Dear teachers!
As educator Maria Montessori once said, "Each child is not a container to be filled, but a torch to be lit." Therefore, let us ignite the flame of knowledge in our students, sow the true values of life in their hearts, help them broaden their vision while nurturing their compassion for others. Let us encourage them to be persistent and determined in their work. Let us help them realize their dreams and aspirations, and guide them to greater success.
Dear parents!
You have every reason to be proud that your children are studying at this esteemed high school—an institution that has been nurturing excellence for over XX years. With a sense of duty and responsibility for the future of our children, we teachers dedicate ourselves to daily instruction and hope for more cooperation and support from you. Please spend more time supporting your children’s learning, allowing them to research, study, and experience more. Stand beside us in guiding and educating them.
Beloved students!
You are the most valuable resource our country has. In this atmosphere of excitement and joy, I encourage you to work hard, to accumulate knowledge, to refine your character, to strengthen your unity, and to ignite your beautiful dreams and aspirations. I firmly believe that with the pride of being a student of this high school, you will achieve outstanding success in the school year 20XX-20YY.
As the new school year begins, you carry with you not only your own dreams and hopes but also the hopes of your families, the people who have given you life, the teachers who bring knowledge to you, and most importantly, the expectations of our homeland. Therefore, we teachers hope you will always focus on cultivating both your morals and talents to become outstanding individuals, worthy of your heritage and the future of our country.
Honored delegates!
Dear teachers!
Beloved students!
The sacred moments of this opening ceremony are about to pass, and a promising school year awaits you. Please allow me to close my speech here.
Once again, I wish the delegates, our teachers, and the parents good health, happiness, and success; I wish our dear students the best of luck in their studies and efforts to become the future leaders of our country; and I hope our opening ceremony today is a resounding success!
Thank you very much!

2. Teacher's Speech at the 5th Opening Ceremony
Honored delegates!
Dear teachers, and beloved students!
In the solemn, joyful, and excited atmosphere of the new school year's opening ceremony, I am truly honored to represent the entire teaching staff and express my emotions today.
First, I would like to wish all delegates, colleagues, and students good health, happiness, and success in the tasks of the new academic year.
Honored delegates, dear teachers!
Today, students of our school, along with students across the country, eagerly begin the new school year, filled with excitement: happiness at reuniting with teachers, friends, and their beloved school after a long break, joy at continuing to explore the vast horizon of knowledge, and optimism for the promising year ahead.
In line with the joy of the students, we, the teachers, are equally moved as we welcome and guide this new generation of students. It is a great honor bestowed upon us by the Party and the people, as we understand that, "Every mistake in education can impact an entire generation, and a small mistake now can mislead that generation for miles to come."
With this responsibility, we, as educators, quietly prepare ourselves with scientific knowledge, innovative teaching methods, and valuable experience to guide students through the school year. We approach this task with a deep sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, and affection for the students, ensuring that we guide them step by step into life.
To achieve this, each of us recognizes the need for continuous self-improvement, overcoming personal and professional challenges, and constantly refining our skills and knowledge. We strive to enhance both our expertise and our moral values, ensuring that we set a positive example in our teaching and actions.
Every teacher must serve as a shining example of ethics, self-learning, and creativity for students to follow. Through practical actions, during each lesson, each class, and every single interaction with students, we aim to make every hour in school a time that is joyful, friendly, and enriching for them.
Dear students!
In this new school year, I hope that you will strive to excel, achieving many perfect scores. Each perfect score you earn is like a beautiful flower, offering meaning and motivation for your teachers. It fuels our passion for our work in nurturing your future.
The new academic year has begun, and our school has received special attention from leaders, organizations, and parents. We all know that "There is no priority greater than investing in the education of our future generations."
On behalf of the entire teaching staff, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and hope that this support will continue, as it provides us with immense strength to continue our journey of exploring new knowledge.
We pledge that with unity, the collective effort and intelligence of the teachers, staff, and students, we will work together to successfully complete the tasks of this academic year. 20XX - 20YY school year.
In conclusion, I once again wish the delegates good health, my colleagues success in their work, and our students the best of academic achievements, so they may truly represent our school proudly.
Thank you very much!

3. Teacher's Speech at the 6th Opening Ceremony
Dear School Board, teachers,
Dear parents,
And all students of our school...
Today marks the official beginning of the 20... - 20... academic year at Luong The Vinh School. I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all teachers, staff, parents, and students.
In brief, the principal has highlighted the excellent results achieved by our entire school in the previous academic year, especially the outstanding performance of 588 12th-grade students in the National High School Exam. I am delighted, applaud, and celebrate their achievements. I would like to thank the teachers, staff, and parents for their dedication in supporting our students in their studies and personal development throughout a challenging year.
On this occasion, I would like to address a few words to the students.
Dear students,
Have you ever seriously thought about the question: "Why do we go to school every day?" Most of you might quickly answer: "To learn the things in our textbooks, especially the lessons in our curriculum." This is why people say: "Carrying books to school..."
I, now 79 years old, have been "carrying books to school" continuously from elementary school to middle school, high school, university, graduate school, and even earned my Ph.D.... Looking back at my life, I must admit that what I learned in school was not entirely the "treasures" or the "magic manuals" that helped me step confidently into the real world, a world full of opportunities and pitfalls, where right and wrong, good and evil are often hard to define clearly. At that time, schools only taught pure academic knowledge, with little connection to life outside school.
Fortunately, during my youth, I was not only focused on my studies. Due to family circumstances, I had to do many other things, contemplate different issues... Still, I regret not taking more advantage of my school years to learn more valuable lessons that are not found in textbooks.
So, as a teacher with many years of experience and a long life, I want to remind you: "The sea of knowledge is vast, and while books are important, they only represent the shallow waters near the shore."
Our education system is starting to modernize, and students today need more than just academic knowledge. They must master social and life skills to grow holistically. They need to develop good character, virtues, and values that will guide them in life.
Over the past years, many students have joined the Youth Volunteer Group to engage in various tasks, from small to large. For example, they worked tirelessly during the summer to beautify our school: cleaning classrooms, repainting walls, and repairing the cafeteria. Through this, they gained valuable lessons: they learned how to plan, work in teams, delegate, support each other, improve their skills, and innovate in their work. These community service activities help students feel more connected to and loving toward their school and peers. I believe that such lessons are rarely taught in subjects like Math, Physics, or English.
Despite the joys, I sometimes encounter unfortunate behaviors. For example, when I see a student casually throwing trash on the ground, or writing and drawing on a brand-new desk, or leaving dirty footprints on a freshly cleaned wall... These actions, though rare, are unacceptable. They are acts of disrespect. As students, you must first be respectful and decent. This requires constant learning and self-discipline during your school years.
Dear students, in the future, when you leave our beloved school, you will embark on different paths in life, some by choice, others by circumstance. I hope the knowledge you have gained – in the broadest sense of the word – will help guide you in your journey. You may become honest workers, skilled technicians, successful researchers, outstanding entrepreneurs, exceptional leaders, or wise politicians... But above all, you must be DECENT PEOPLE, who care for others, who are devoted to your country, and who love our beloved Vietnam. This is what I hope for all of you.

4. Teacher's Speech at the Opening Ceremony No. 7
"Every year, as autumn comes, the leaves fall along the streets and the sky is filled with soft, pale clouds, I am once again filled with the bittersweet memories of the first day of school."
These words by author Thanh Tinh seem to echo in the minds of all who have ever experienced the vibrant days of their student years.
Distinguished guests, esteemed teachers, and dear students,
As the cool breeze brings the autumn chill, the season spreads across the city. The sky feels higher, the clouds are white, and chrysanthemums bloom vividly in the garden. With the arrival of autumn, the new school year begins. Autumn, with its golden hues, the pure white school uniforms, and the energetic sound of the school bell, is tied to the cherished memories of student life with teachers, friends, and our beloved school. Another autumn has come, bringing with it the hopes and dreams of every student.
The opening day of school always brings a mix of excitement and nervousness, yet it is impossible to hide the overwhelming joy and pride. Even though I’ve been through many school years, it still feels unfamiliar and thrilling every time. But today, I stand in a different position. I am no longer a student, but a teacher, guiding others with the wisdom and experiences I’ve gained.
Now, in my new role as a teacher, I remind myself to carry on the proud traditions of this school and continue the legacy of my predecessors, passing the torch and guiding future generations. My mission is to help students spread their wings and chase their dreams, allowing them to soar high and far.
Prime Minister Pham Van Dong once said: "Teaching is the noblest profession among all noble professions." Our people honor teachers as the "engineers of the soul" because teaching is not just about imparting knowledge, but more importantly, about teaching students the values of being a good person.
Amid the memories of innocence, the swirl of emotions, and the joyful faces of younger students at the ceremony, my heart is stirred:
"There is a profession where chalk dust fills the hands,
They say it’s the cleanest profession,
There’s a profession that doesn’t plant trees in the ground,
But gives the world fragrant flowers."
(Collected)
Finally, I would like to wish good health to all the distinguished guests, teachers, and students, and I wish you all a successful school year. I borrow these lines from a poem to express the dedication of a young teacher:
"The winds of time carry the mist,
Preserving the fragrance of life and blooming flowers,
Time passes, but the love for the profession remains deep,
Unwavering, eternal, the teacher's devotion."
(By Teacher Le Thi Thu Ba)

5. Teacher's Speech at the Opening Ceremony No. 8
Dear distinguished guests,
Dear colleagues and teachers of the school,
Dear beloved students,
On this special and joyful occasion of the new school year’s opening ceremony, allow me to extend my warmest wishes, on behalf of the entire teaching staff, to all the distinguished guests, honored teachers, and dear students. I wish everyone good health, happiness, and many achievements in their work and studies this year.
The summer has passed, and the sound of the school bell rings again as students across the nation eagerly begin a new academic year, filled with joy. Alongside the excitement of the students, we, as early childhood educators, also share in the anticipation and emotion as we prepare to welcome and nurture new generations of learners. This is a great honor, but also a significant responsibility for each of us as teachers.
The school year 20...-20... begins amidst the efforts of the entire Party and people to implement the Party’s resolutions on educational reform. This year, we continue to pursue the movement where each teacher strives to be a role model of self-learning and creativity. We also continue to implement the campaign "Building a friendly school, active students," with a particular focus on achieving universal education for 5-year-old children in Tuyen Quang Province. To achieve these goals, each of us as teachers recognizes the need for continuous effort, overcoming personal, family, and school challenges. We must persistently develop our professional skills, knowledge, and ethical standards. Every teacher must be a shining example of ethics, self-study, and creativity. Through tangible, practical actions in every classroom, we aim to ensure that each day at school is a joyful, friendly, and meaningful experience for the students.
This school year has already begun, and our school, ......, has received special attention from local leaders. On behalf of the teaching staff, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the careful guidance, deep concern, and encouragement from the leaders of ...... and the parents. We promise that with the spirit of unity and collective effort, the staff, teachers, and students of this school will work together to successfully complete the tasks for the 20..-20... school year.
Finally, I wish good health to all distinguished guests, well wishes for our teachers, and hope that our students continue to excel and be well-behaved in their studies.
Thank you very much!

6. Teacher's Speech at the Opening Ceremony No. 1
Esteemed delegates, respected teachers, and dear students,
As the final clusters of red flowers fade from the trees and the last leaves begin to fall, it is once again the time for us at the primary school to joyfully prepare for the beginning of a new school year.
Today, on the occasion of the opening ceremony for the academic year 20XX - 20XX, I am honored and proud to represent the entire faculty and staff to express our heartfelt sentiments. First, allow me to extend my warm greetings, best wishes for health, and happiness to all the delegates, esteemed teachers, and dear students.
On this special day, I believe that every teacher is filled with emotion, for we are about to welcome and guide a new generation. As educators, my colleagues and I take great pride in being called "engineers of the soul," creators of the future. But in my view, it is not the profession that brings honor to a person, but the person who brings honor to the profession. As President Ho Chi Minh once said, "The cook, the janitor, the teacher, and the engineer are all equally honorable if they fulfill their responsibilities well."
This marks my third year welcoming a new school year at this primary school. All of us teachers long for an environment that truly fosters education. Over the past year, the school has provided the best conditions for teaching, from specialized classrooms to the necessary teaching tools.
Dear students,
As this school year begins, the hopes and dreams you carry with you are not only your own, but also the hopes of your families, your teachers, and our entire nation. We, your teachers, ask that you always strive to develop your character and talents, to become diligent and capable students, worthy heirs of our proud heritage, and future leaders of our country.
I would like to conclude my speech with my deepest thanks. Thank you to the generations before us who gifted us with peace and independence, to the teachers who prepared me for this profession, to the school administration for providing a supportive environment, and to my colleagues for their mentorship and kindness as we embarked on this journey together. I will always cherish the memories and the deep emotions from my first opening ceremony as a teacher.
Once again, I sincerely thank all the delegates, honored guests, teachers, and students. I wish this opening ceremony great success!

7. Teacher's Speech at the Second Opening Ceremony
Thank you! Distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen!
Esteemed teachers and school staff!
Dear students!
In this solemn yet joyful atmosphere of the new school year's opening ceremony, I would like to express, on behalf of all the teachers and staff, our best wishes for good health, happiness, and great achievements in both work and study.
Distinguished guests, esteemed teachers, and dear students!
The opening day of each student's life will always carry memories of childhood, a place full of beautiful memories—of schoolyards bathed in the golden autumn sun, of the bright sky filled with colorful balloons and the vivid red flags.
"Autumn mornings fill the schoolyard
Flags race with sunlight, winds whispering through the branches
The trees offer a cool shade
The school bell rings, forming a melody"
(Celebrating the opening day – Hạnh Nguyễn)
Summer has passed, the school bell rings, and today millions of students across the country eagerly step into the new school year with so much joy: Joy of reuniting with friends, teachers, and the beloved school after a long break; joy of continuing to explore new horizons of knowledge with every page turned in the books; and joy of a new school year filled with so many promises.
Along with the joy of the students, we, the teachers, are equally touched and moved as we once again welcome and guide a new generation of students. It is a great honor but also a heavy responsibility for every educator.
As always, when the last of the summer flowers fade and golden leaves fall on the schoolyard, we quietly prepare for our journey ahead: studying new scientific knowledge, adopting innovative teaching methods, and gaining experience... Thus, throughout the year, with a strong sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, and affection for our dear students, we will continue to guide them step by step into the future.
The 20XX-20XX school year takes place in the context of the whole Party and people actively implementing the resolutions of the Party Congress on reforming education. This year, we will continue to promote the use of information technology, modernize financial management, build a friendly school environment, and encourage active students, as well as effectively participate in the movement of 'No' with the four contents from the Ministry of Education and Training.
In order to achieve this, each of us teachers is deeply aware that we must strive even harder, overcome our personal and collective challenges, and continuously improve our expertise and professional skills. We must constantly cultivate our moral qualities, personal conduct, and work ethic as role models for students to follow. Through practical actions in every class, through each lesson, and each teaching moment, we aim to make every school day truly enjoyable, friendly, and enriching for the students.
Personally, I am fully aware of the responsibility of being a teacher—a public servant and also a parent—in shaping the moral and intellectual development of students, with the principle of 'teaching character before teaching knowledge.' We continuously improve the quality of teaching and learning to ensure that the intellectual contributions we make have their rightful place in the broader picture of the nation’s education system.
The new school year has begun, and our school has received special attention from the leadership. On behalf of the school staff, I express our sincere thanks for their guidance, care, encouragement, and support. We promise to continue working together with unity, dedication, and intellect to successfully fulfill this year’s objectives.

8. Teacher's Speech at the First Opening Ceremony
Dear distinguished guests!
Dear faculty and staff of the school!
Dear beloved students!
Every autumn, as the vibrant summer fades with the blooming of the phoenix flowers, we gather here again at this cherished school, amidst the solemn, joyful, and excited atmosphere of the opening ceremony for the new school year, filled with new emotions. On behalf of the entire team of teachers and staff at the preschool, I would like to wish the honored guests, our teachers, and students health, happiness, and success in both work and studies.
I recall the poet Che Lan Vien's simple yet profound lines that still resonate with me:
“When we are here, it’s just a place to stay,
When we leave, the land transforms into a soul.”
Indeed, a foreign land becomes a place we fondly remember, even when it's just a temporary stop in our lives. How much more so for a place that nurtures our dreams and carries our early hopes? The school has truly become a great pedagogical home in my heart, and I am proud to have chosen this school, despite its challenges, to continue its legacy and responsibility in shaping the next generation.
“There’s a job where chalk dust fills the hands,
And it is called the noblest job,
A job where the fruits are not for oneself,
But where the purpose is to plant and sow seeds.”
For the first time in my life, I have become a true teacher, holding a piece of chalk to impart knowledge and teach students to be good people. Every time I see their faces, eyes, and smiles, my hope for the future grows. Many of you come from poor rural areas. Some of you must cycle many kilometers to get to school. On sunny days, you sweat heavily, and on rainy days, you get covered in mud. Yet, even through the exhaustion of daily life, there shines a spark of hope for a brighter tomorrow. Your eyes ignite in me the belief in the teaching profession I have chosen. I feel a great responsibility. As a young teacher fresh out of school, can I help these students realize their dreams? I tell myself: I must try my best, be dedicated, and teach excellently to honor the colleagues who have supported me since the beginning. I will dedicate all my talents, passion, intellect, and affection to educating generations of students who will become valuable members of society, in return for the love and admiration of my students.
Dear students,
As I write these words, I can’t help but feel conflicted. I know there are still mischievous boys who haven’t focused on their studies, and girls who have fallen behind chasing the fleeting trends of life. I, too, in my early lessons, still have many shortcomings. Many sleepless nights, I’ve pondered, wondering what to do, where to start, and whether I’m worthy of this noble profession. Then I look around and see my colleagues tirelessly working on their lesson plans, offering their strength and spirit. I tell myself: I must study, I must strive. It is you, my students, at this humble school, who are the greatest gift, encouraging me to continue on my path of knowledge and to continue what I’ve been contemplating.
With this new responsibility, full of challenges and opportunities, I promise, on behalf of the young teachers of this school, to bring energy, enthusiasm, knowledge, and love for teaching. We pledge to contribute all our efforts for the future of our students. We will continue learning from experienced colleagues, constantly improving our skills and methods to make our lessons more engaging and enriching. We will always support each other and provide our students with the love and care of a parent, guiding them to grow into capable individuals. We promise to carry out all the tasks assigned to us with excellence. We will strive to improve our professional skills and uphold the values of the teaching profession, contributing to the strength and development of the school.
Dear distinguished guests, dear teachers, and students,
Today, students across the country are eagerly stepping into the new school year, filled with joy: the joy of reuniting with teachers, friends, and their beloved school, of continuing to explore new realms of knowledge, and the joy of a promising year ahead... Along with the happiness of our students, we teachers also feel deeply moved by the beginning of the new school year. We are honored to guide and nurture the new generation of students, a responsibility entrusted to us by the Party and the People. We understand that every mistake in education affects future generations, and a small misstep can lead them astray for years to come.
The new school year has begun, and our school has received special attention from our leaders. On behalf of the faculty, I sincerely thank them for their guidance, support, and encouragement. I also promise that, with unity and the collective strength and intellect of the teachers, staff, and students, we will work together to successfully fulfill our mission for the academic year 20XX-20YY.
Today, in the jubilant atmosphere of the opening ceremony, I wish all the guests, teachers, and students good health, and may you continue to contribute your efforts and intellect to the development of the school’s educational mission. I wish all students a successful year in both their studies and moral development. Thank you!
