1. VDZ German Language Center
Vietnam-Germany Scientific and Technological Cooperation Center was established based on an agreement signed in July 1997 between the Rector of Hanoi University of Science and Technology – Prof. Hoang Van Phong, and the President of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) – Prof. Theodor Berchem, with the active support of relevant authorities from both Vietnam and Germany, along with joint efforts of Hanoi University of Science and Technology and DAAD.
The center officially opened and began operations on December 13, 1999, with the goal of enhancing Vietnam-Germany cooperation in education, scientific research, and technology transfer. The Vietnam-Germany Center also serves as the headquarters of the DAAD representative office in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar.
The main mission of the Vietnam-Germany Center is to facilitate and support bilateral exchange and cooperation in education and research. The center is a meeting place for organizing forums for information exchange among scientists, experts, students, and alumni from both Vietnam and Germany, in fields such as engineering, economics, and culture. After many years of operation, the Vietnam-Germany Center has been recognized as one of the effective centers of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, with a variety of activities.
