1. "The most reasonable way to live in this world is to break all the rules"
This is perhaps the most shared quote from the Joker. If life were to follow every rule and old-fashioned prejudice, we would never have innovations like the iPhone, Facebook, or Google. These breakthroughs all came from defying norms and tearing down the barriers of traditional thinking. Living strictly by the rules means not living at all, it’s merely existing, like a machine. True life lies in breaking free and tapping into our creativity.

2. "Stop hunting for a monster under the bed when it’s already inside you"
At times, we focus too much on finding faults and mistakes in others, blaming them for their errors, while ignoring our own shortcomings. Our selfish nature often prevents us from being critical of ourselves, redirecting that judgment towards others. No one is perfect, so before you go looking for a 'monster under the bed,' maybe take a moment to check if there’s a 'monster' within you.

3. "When there are no more people like me, who will need you, hero?"
It is a harsh but completely natural rule of life. Characters like Joker are essential, for only in their presence do we need the emergence of a Batman. And sometimes, even after losing villains like Joker, people unintentionally forget Batman's contributions. Everything has two sides; individuals in this world rely on each other for survival, whether in opposition or cooperation. When there are no more foxes, the bow and arrow serve no purpose; or if wolves are not lurking, the sheep would never develop the quick instincts to evade.

4. 'In this world, you can’t rely on anyone. You have to do everything yourself.'
Although the statement may seem pessimistic, it accurately reflects the state of society and somewhat encourages self-reliance. In today’s modern world, where almost everything is traded, we can’t be sure that help isn’t part of a transaction. So, do everything yourself if possible, because no one can guarantee that help given today won’t come with a cost tomorrow. This also advises us not to depend on others, even those close to us. Everyone has their own life to live, and we must take responsibility for ours.

5. 'When faced with dire circumstances, these so-called civilized people will turn on each other. Understand? I'm not a monster, I'm just ahead of my time.'
Don’t rush to judge or criticize anyone unless you truly understand their situation or have experienced a similar 'dire' circumstance yourself. Human nature only fully reveals itself in the worst of times, and only then do we truly grasp the 'real value' of the 'civilization' we often strive for.

6. 'I believe that what doesn’t kill you will make you stand out more.'
If you can overcome your fears, dangers, difficulties, and challenges, you will emerge stronger, more distinct, and closer to perfection. This is absolutely true.

7. 'If you're good at something, never do it for free!'
This seemingly selfish statement actually hides a truth that, upon deeper reflection, may not be entirely wrong. For instance, imagine you're someone who excels at cooking and loves helping others. You decide to open a restaurant where you offer free meals to everyone. But think about it – if you do this, will other restaurants be able to survive? If your customers are receiving free food, they may come back frequently, unintentionally creating a sense of dependence and removing their drive to earn what they receive. Therefore, if you possess talent in any area, your decisions affect not just yourself but the entire community around you.

8. "They laugh at me for being different, I laugh at them for being too alike!"
Sometimes, the majority isn’t necessarily right, but because they form the majority, their views are considered valid. Ultimately, no perspective is absolute, as everything depends on one’s point of view. This philosophy of Joker partly reflects his nature. The eccentric things he does aren't always wrong – for example, when he tries to show Batman the importance he holds for the citizens of Gotham, which is far from uncertain as many believe. When the majority agrees on something, it often leads to misconceptions and a lack of critical thinking, resulting in stubbornness. Alternatively, each person, with their unique background and environment, should embrace their own way of living and personal views on every issue. Imitating others or following the crowd isn't the answer – that's Joker's message. Einstein and other scientists faced similar situations, so did they laugh at us?

9. "It doesn't matter who you are, don't bother justifying yourself, what you do will define who you are."
This is absolutely true in today's society. Your status, profession, or title doesn’t make you great or better, nor does it define you as a villain. What truly matters is what you achieve. The saying ‘Clothes do not make the man’ conveys a similar message. Not every police officer or doctor always does good, just as not every criminal is a constant source of evil. What really matters is what we think and what we do.
