I stayed at Hoa Phu’ong Hotel for one night as part of a tour of the Mekong Delta. I booked this trip though Bismillah Tours (and they use AN Travel). First impressions was that it as an ageing hotel. You could see that it was in need of some renovations. There were a lot of cracks and broken furnishings. The receptionist kept out passports for some reason. I didn’t like this because the price of the hotel was included in the tour. I was not obligated to pay anything. They don’t offer a tab service either - so I don’t understand why they kept it. The hotel had an elevator which was good because my backpack is heavy. I stayed on the fourth floor. I was pleasantly surprised at the room. It was spacious and bright. Towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and combs were provided in the bathroom. There was a small TV and a fridge (it was empty and wasn’t plugged in so it smelt a bit funny). There was a double bed and a single bed. The sheets were clean. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best sleep. The pillows were hard and uncomfortable. The blanket provided by the hotel smelt strange. I don’t think it was washed between guests. Luckily I am backpacking and have a sleeping bag liner for occasions when the hygiene of bedding is in question. The WiFi worked fine. Breakfast was provided for free. You have a choice of jam with bread or egg with bread. They served tea, coffee and juice too. Overall: the place was nice and clean. It was a bit old school and in need of a revamp. The dirty blankets let it down.

Bad service. Receptionist did not assistant the room customer need they force customer have to stay in most expensive room. For some reason i checked in 1:15 am 22 0ctorver and checked out 3:am 23 Oct they charge 2 nights with most expensive price even they promised that will charge 1 and half price before when we checked in. The room is very bad, we are couple but have to stay in room with 2 small beds. The blanket is very dirty and caused itching for my skin. No bottle water. No facility as bed light.. Never come back again for bad service and room. Waste our holiday for some angry with terrible hotel.

We stayed there as part of our Mekong delta tour with An-Travel (booked via Vietdream Travel in Saigon). Our room was an absolute mess with spiderwebs and mildew on walls/ceiling and hairs everywhere. The bathroom was even filthier. Our room did not even have a window and still the noise from the busy street in front of it was brutal. Even considering the price we found it to be extraordinarily dirty and would not recommend it.

I went there to visit the Mekong Delta. The plan was to stay there three nights, but at least I stayed only two nights. The room and the bathroom weren't really clean and air conditioning and wifi didn't work. But for me the worst was mildew along the ceiling. Can't recommend it :(

Same like the other reviewers, we stayed in this hotel as a part of 2D1N Mekong delta tour (arranged by Tuan Travel). At the beginning we never expect for some nice enough hotel to stay cause we paid cheap for the tour. But when we arrive at this hotel at 9 pm, we are really grateful. The room was clean with air conditioner worked really fine, nice and friendly staff, clean bathtoom. We didn't found any cockroach like the other reviewers. I think its good enough for us.
