- Lỗi sai: Không thể thể hiện một ý hoàn chỉnh do thiếu mệnh đề độc lập
- Cách sửa:
- Cách 1: Thêm vào một mệnh đề độc lập ➜ Because some learners work part-time while taking a full load of classes, they have very little free time.
- Cách 2: Bỏ liên từ phụ thuộc (ví dụ because) ➜ Some learners work part-time while taking a full load of classes.
2. Choppy sentences (Sentences written too short)
Choppy sentences - one of the common mistakes in Writing that candidates often encounter. Choppy sentences are sentences written too briefly ➜ using too many will be considered monotonous in academic writing.
Example: Wind is an enduring source of power. Water is also an unlimited energy source. Dams produce hydraulic power. They have existed for a long time. Windmills are relatively new.

4. Stringy sentences (Sentences with too many independent clauses)
Stringy sentences - one of the common mistakes in Writing that candidates often encounter. Stringy sentences are sentences with too many independent clauses, often connected by AND, BUT, SO, BECAUSE. Although there is no rule limiting the number of independent clauses in a sentence, 2 is the best maximum number. How to fix: break the sentence into smaller ones or combine the clauses using dependent conjunctions.
- Câu sai: Many students attend classes all morning, and then they work all afternoon, and they also have to study at night, so they are usually tired by the weekend
