To the best of my memory, after the entire country underwent the COVID-19 quarantine period, perhaps about a year ago, I felt a craving for adventure, so I invited my two close friends to accompany me on a trip to Ha Long. Since we all had stable jobs, we were able to extend the budget for decent accommodation, which led us to reserve a triple room in a 4-star hotel, and we traveled there by train.
I must say, the services at this hotel were outstanding. When the porter spotted us at the automatic door, he promptly approached us and assisted with our luggage. He carefully guided us to our room and provided the hotel's emergency hotline number. Upon entering our room, we were all amazed by the sea view it offered.
One of the highlights of this hotel was its amenities. The toiletry sets were ample for all three of us, and the bristles of the toothbrushes were exceptionally soft. Additionally, complimentary meals, including breakfast and dinner, were provided, considering that the cost of our stay was quite high. The seafood was so tempting that we even ordered several extra dishes.
After our trip, although we didn't express our gratitude directly to the staff, we left a few positive reviews online to encourage other travelers to visit. If I have the opportunity to return to Ha Long, I would not hesitate to revisit this establishment.

1. What factors can influence people's hotel choices?
In my opinion, there are three factors that impact people’s decisions when selecting a hotel. The primary concern of travelers usually revolves around the price. Some individuals seek only basic accommodation with a tidy room and reliable wifi, while others prefer a more luxurious option.
Another aspect worth mentioning is the hotel’s location, specifically its proximity to tourist attractions. By being close to popular destinations, people can reduce transportation costs and allocate their funds towards other activities such as dining or sightseeing.

2. How do people make hotel reservations?
In most instances, whether individuals reserve hotel rooms online or in person, they are required to provide a deposit for their booking. Typically, the initial payment amounts to around 20 to 30% of the total fee. Approximately one week prior to their arrival, travelers often settle the remaining balance, or else the reservation may be canceled.

3. What sets apart hotels in your country from those overseas?
One aspect worth noting is the attire of the front desk staff. Regarding male employees, there aren't many dissimilarities as they typically don a jacket over a shirt, a tie around their neck, and formal trousers. However, female receptionists in Vietnam often wear the traditional ao dai, while their counterparts in other countries opt for formal attire similar to their male colleagues.
