Guide to accessing Disk Management on Win 7/8
These methods for accessing Disk Management can be applied to both Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Method 1: To access Disk Management, follow these steps:
Step 1: From the Start Menu toolbar, select Control Panel.
Step 2: Select Administrative Tools.
Step 3: Select Computer Management.
Step 4: Then, click on Disk Management.
Here, you can perform various operations for your disk drives.
Note: Make sure to have a backup before performing any operations to prevent data loss and computer damage.
Method 2: You can use commands to access Disk Management as follows:
- From the search tool on the Start Menu, type in the keyword “diskmgmt.msc” and press Enter.
- Alternatively, use the Run (Windows + R) tool and enter the command line in the Open field.
This will open the Disk Management window for you to operate on.
