IELTS Writing Task 1
Task 1: The map shows how coastal land develops into a coastal park. |

Example
The given maps show how beachfront land has been repurposed into a park.
Overall, the area in front of the cliff has been enhanced with numerous recreational spaces, and access to the beach beyond the bluff has been facilitated.
There were farm buildings on the side road, in the heart of the coastal property, prior to development. Unutilized land and sea animal shelters were to the left of these structures, while cultivated land was on the other side. This location was directly in front of the beach and the ocean, facing the cliff.
Regarding the second map, the site has been transformed into a park, and there is currently a car park on the side road. From west to east, a walkway was built, encircling a new lake on the west and woodlands on the east. A new coffee shop was built behind the car park, and trees were planted along the path to provide greater shade. Last but not least, steps have been added to the cliff in front of the beach to accommodate additional guests.

Paragraph 2 details the transformation from old to new, highlighting the construction of new infrastructure like pathways, cafes, and parking lots, using passive verbs (cultivated, transformed, built, planned, added, …).
IELTS Writing Task 2
Task 2: Many people argue that in order to improve educational quality, high school students should be encouraged to make comments or even criticism of their teachers. Others think it will lead to a loss of respect and discipline in the classroom. Discuss both views and give your own opinion. |
Example
In almost every educational system, finding strategies to increase educational quality is a major priority. High school students are encouraged to express their thoughts about teachers in some cultures, while others believe that this might lead to a lack of respect and discipline in the classroom. Both points of view will be carefully examined throughout this essay before a sensible verdict is reached.
On the one hand, it is true that student input can aid in the enhancement of educational quality. In many circumstances, the level of comprehension of pupils is highly dependent on the manner teachers perform the class, rather than the content of the lesson. If the class is slow, for example, it will be ineffective for professors to teach too quickly, causing the majority of students to forget what they have learned. Without student feedback, it would be difficult to determine whether the lesson pace is adequate for the class, which could compromise the session’s quality.
Allowing students to submit comments and criticisms about their teachers, however, has significant disadvantages. For starters, teachers are susceptible to students’ unfavorable remarks. Many would believe that praise, rather than criticism or any other type of feedback, is due for their efforts in presenting the lesson. This is a popular belief among teachers in many Asian countries’ educational systems. Furthermore, due to a large number of comments, the classroom may become chaotic. Students’ opinions differ, and it would be impractical for teachers to devise a teaching method that would satisfy all of them.
In conclusion, while the idea of encouraging high school students to provide feedback on their teachers may sound appealing in theory, it does not seem practical to me for improving educational quality.
Vocabulary:
- Discipline (n): kỷ luật
- Verdict (n): kết luận
- To compromise (v): ảnh hưởng tiêu cực tới
- Susceptible (adj): dễ chịu ảnh hưởng
Analysis
Therefore, the author clarifies the viewpoint that supporting students to give feedback to teachers, though theoretically plausible, is not realistic in practice for enhancing educational quality.
